My 200TH review..

I LOVE this place. This is one of the must go to galleries on our list of galleries to visit during art walk. Which is every first Saturday of the month in Downtown Santa Ana in the Artists Village.  It starts at 7PM-10PM.

Walking in can throw some conservative people off a bit. It's a bit dark but it's rad. It reminds me of my old goth days. So if you are looking to walk into a gallery that is bright and features art like that of Thomas Kinkade then you will be bummed. The gallery owners Robert and Tamera are amazingly nice and talented.  Some of Roberts own art is featured in the gallery. They offer an array of different art. Such as ceramics, mixed media, iron sculptures to furniture made out of metal. They also have a decent selection of books and jewelry.

This time at art walk I met two of the artist that are currently featured at the gallery. Mickey Me ( http://www.myspace.com... ) and  Ted Von Heiland.  They both have some amazing stuff..... I noticed that on the Night Gallery's website it states that they are available on weekends by appointment only.. I can't tell you enough to stop by. Stop by on a first Saturday. There are so many other galleries in the Artists Village. And when you are done doing the art walk thing you can then stop by Memphis which is in the heart of the artists village for cocktails or food....

I also loved that they were playing "The Rapture" album by Siouxsie And The Banshees.... extra star for that...

and yes there is complimentary wine..

This place was awesome. I was up there for a concert at the OC Pavillion so I made an appointment to come in ahead of time. The owner, Robert, greeted us and answered all of our questions. The art inside was awesome. They had several different mediums (ceramics, photography, paintings, metal work, etc.), and all done in different styles.  Each featured artist had a very distinct style. I went more to check it out than to buy anything, but the prices were so reasonable, that I will definitely be going back to buy, both for myself and as gifts. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the area who likes dark art, or art period.
