Be it ever so humble, there's noplace like Nico's.

Nico's gets 5 stars in the category of Quick Mexican Food.  You owe it to yourself if you are passing exit 279 on the 10 a little ways south of Tuscon.  I had a fish taco & a chicken taco.  My wife had a carnitas platter.  It was all fresh and wonderful.  Some of the best Mexican home cookin' I've had.  I will definitely be stopping here again.  I might even drive down from Phoenix for some of this stuff.

And the prices!  Total: $13 and change.

And the portions!  We easily could have shared the carnitas platter and skipped the tacos.  Not that I would have missed the tacos.  Especially the fish taco.  Gorgeous.

Fish tacos are decent...nothing else though. Just like every other Nico's. It is nice that Vail has another place to eat. Very slow workers.
