I couldn't say enough about this place. Dorothy and Walt were so accommodating, very friendly, funny and easy to talk to. The breakfast was like one I've never had before.  It was much better than any restaurant (and not greasy!).  The home fries were out of this world!  We talked to Dorothy for almost 3 hours during and after breakfast.  It was really interesting to hear about her stories of growing up in that house and how it's been in her family forever.
The pictures on the website don't do it justice. We stayed in the Eleanor room, which was small, but perfect for 2 people. We didn't need anything bigger than that-private bath, king bed, an armoire and a fireplace.
Staying here was a great experience. It was also cheap ($95 including taxes for the night). It was very close to Providence and Pawtucket, which is where we were going.  It was about a 10-15 minute drive to both.  If I had to come back to Seekonk or the surrounding area, I would definitely stay here again.

Nichols Guestrooms is conveniently located in scenic Seekonk MA.  Okay,  honestly, I don't know how scenic Seekonk is.  Pretty much the only scenes I saw were this joint and the Honey Dew Donuts, both of which were pretty much AWESOME.  This B&B is quaint and in a quiet residential area of Seekonk.  The property predates the town records (1850) and the lady in charge, Dorothy, grew up in this house.  They currently advertise three rooms for guests at reasonable rates from $60-$85.  There are some specials that you can only get by calling in but discovery is half the fun, so I'll leave that to you.  The proprietors, Walt and Dorothy are New Englanders, to be sure,  but once you get them talking, they warm up to you.  Breakfast was delightful and substantial but served at 8AM (early bird gets the worm...or the breakfast)  sausage omelet, cinnamon buns, oatmeal, New England baked beans in a crock, cornbread, cold cereal, yogurt and fruit parfaits, hash browns, two different juices, coffee and tea were all part of the spread.  They have no problems catering to the needs of those who have dietary restrictions or alternative dietary needs.  So GFers and vegetarians, fear not.  Nichols is also just a stone's throw from Providence and the accommodations are  a fraction of the price.  If I had to offer criticisms, I'd say that free wifi wouldn't hurt.  Furthermore,  I'm not a clean freak by any stretch of the imagination.    I encountered some dust and while it wasn't a years accumulation, I'd say it was at least a couple months worth.  Let's face it.  If I want dust, I'll sleep in my own room.  A more thorough cleaning of the guestrooms would kick this place up  to five stars.
