Some of the nicest, most endearing small business owners I have ever met in the city.
The reviews are true, Nice N' Clean is a fantastic shop on the corner of Van Ness and Sacramento, and for as long as I live in SF, this will be where I do my dry cleaning.
I was looking for a new location to drop off my shirts and pants, and after reading the amazing Yelp reviews about this place, I knew I had to give it a shot. The fact that it's only a few blocks from my apartment didn't hurt either.
They have a great system of giving all new customers their own new bag and card so that all of your belongings are organized.
I came in today to pick up my shirts and slacks and found them to be in mint condition.
It is so apparent here, that they want to make you happy and satisfied. It's not about the money, or the hustle, it's simply about making your experience worthwhile.
These business owners get it.

Woah..good thing there's Nice N' Clean, I have a bunch of pants given to me that doesn't fit me well because it's too big for me. I made alterations with them twice already and their service is good. It's like the clothes was not altered at all. Thanks!
So there are a lot of good dry cleaners out there but no one and I mean no one would stay open if your working a little after there hours to stay open! They know me by name regardless of who is working and always bend over backward to give the best service. I have recommended friend after friend to this place and I am not the type that tells everyone where to go unless asked but this place does things right everytime! I mean Every Time.
Very pleasant and friendly couple, even at the end of a long day. Clean, careful and organized. Even remembered me and the details of my order more than a week later!
Gave a try to this place because of good reviews they've received. My blue jacket came back with wrinkles and several long hairs of different colors on the outer surface. I removed the hair with Scotch Tape. I will not bring any of my clothes to Nice N' Clean again. I'll look for a dry cleaner who is genuinely friendly and at least has decent capability to do the job right.
I came here seeing the previous Yelp reviews, and I'm glad I didn't go elsewhere.
They're extremely friendly from the moment you walk in, and very helpful and honest. They managed to significantly reduce the visibility of a stain in one of my nicest ties. I had also slightly damaged the fabric on a suit I brought in by removing the tags too forcefully, so the lady offered to remove them for me on any new suits that I purchased, and did so.
The prices tend to vary, and I didn't check my receipt to see that they were hand-stitching the hem on two pants I brought in. At $20 a pair, it cost me a hand and a foot, but is definitely excellent quality, and much better formed to the leg than a machine stitch. It's suggested that you check the prices before you have work done here. The rest of the work/cleaning I had done, however, was very affordable.
They give you a laundry bag with a membership card to make the process of dropping off/picking up quite painless. This is definitely the best dry cleaner/tailor I have used thus far.
So I dropped off my pants to be altered back in the beginning of February. Due to lack of funds I just now picked them up. I tried to give a tip for being so nice as to hold onto my pants for so long but the sweet lady who I paid (think she's one of the owners and I feel bad I didn't get her name) but she refused to keep it. Told me it was enough that I come to her business.
I can't help be impressed and grateful for someone who is genuinely good and gives quality customer service (and the tailoring was really well done) just because it's natural to them.
I will definitely use "Nice N' Clean" again! All the 5 stars already given to this place, are obviously well deserved.
The glowing reviews for this place are accurate. The owners really are nice and friendly. The positive vibes are felt immediately upon entering as you are greeted with smiles all around. Just the mere process of entering your information into their computer system initiates the warm feeling of being included in a club; when you return to pick up your items, you're given a laundry bag with a luggage tag attached with your name, a bar code, and the date you "joined." The other "members" that come and go have smiles as well, and are greeted by name. I noticed a box of dog treats on the counter, undoubtedly for pets who come by with their owners, as another yelper had mentioned. This little society of dry-cleaner patrons is one that I'm glad to have recently joined.
I brought in a secondhand dress with a horrible cigarette smoke stench, skeptical that they (or anyone for that matter) would be able to remove it. When I returned, I gave it a whiff and was very pleased with the results. This place is sort of out of the way for me, but I don't mind the drive for my more prized items.

After reading the reviews on Yelp, I decided to take a chance and take my wedding dress here to be altered. It needed several adjustments, including removal and reattachment of the back zipper and buttons to take it in and some adjustments to the sides. I know these things can cost a fortune, so I was speechless when Seung told me how much it would cost: a mere $89.
I don't want to set up unrealistic expectations for others--I do think this dress is a simple one as wedding dresses go, and a more complicated garment would probably be more costly to alter. But the fact that they didn't tack on extra fees just because it's a white dress won me over; I'll be back for future alterations!
I love Nice N' Clean! I've lived in the city for 5 years and never found a place that did alterations I was happy with -- until Nice N' Clean! They're super friendly and helpful -- finding the right fasteners for my dress and being honest that it shouldn't be dry cleaned, even though I asked for it! They've always done a great job with altering and cleaning my clothes. I'm so happy I found them, and I bet you will be too!

After checking out some of the glowing yelp reviews, I decided to bring in a skirt that needed alterations. It was part of a suit so I was concerned with it looking perfect and I was very pleased with the results I got. The skirt needed a couple of darts added to get just the right fit but I swear it looks like the suit came that way originally. Also, as others have noted the couple who runs the place is very nice and businesslike.
I was so pleased with the results, I've already returned with a pair of jeans to be hemmed and dropped off my regular dry cleaning as well.
Best dry cleaner I've ever had. The couple that run Nice N' Clean are super nice. They give my (fat) dog a treat every time we come in and they even gave us a bottle of wine for the holidays.
They're always on time and the dry cleaning and alternations have always been top-notch.

Excellent cleaning and so friendly! Song was very nice and introduced herself to me when I first dropped my clothes off. I left them my wedding suit and they did an awesome job! Also they got a stain out of one of my wife's silk dresses that we thought would not come out!

Chalk up another 5 star review for Nice N' Clean. While their dry cleaning and alteration prices are high, the work is relatively fast and VERY good.
Song takes great pride in alterations and gave me a few options for hem options and discussed the pros/cons of each option for a recent jean alternation.

They truly live by their name - nice and clean. The owners understand the importance of quality dry cleaning and customer service. We started here with our wedding items, as we heard they do the best job, from high end and daily cleaning and my suit and her dress came back looking new and the same size.
Honestly, we have been looking for the right dry cleaning spot ever since we moved to the city and I promise this is worth the drive - we live in pac heights and go here for all my clothes. They even give you a bag for your clothes and tag your clothes just in case you get another persons or vice versa, not to mention they operate via computer system and not by paper log - a place to trust for all your clothes.

Went in today to have 5 pairs of jeans hemmed. Service was prompt, not rushed and high quality. I wanted to keep the original hem on a couple but was told it wasn't necessary. Big plus here because of the $10 difference. Will update again once I get the jeans back. Nice job!
I came to Nice N Clean based on the Yelp reviews, and I definitely have to agree that this place is great. I needed 4 jeans to be hemmed (darn my short legs) and I dropped it off on Friday morning, expecting it to be finished on Monday. I was completely bowled over when Song said cheerfully that they would be finished on Saturday. I picked them up at 3pm and she did a fantastic job.
I will say that the price for the original hem is higher than most places ($25) which I'm sure will make some people cringe. But, given that I had two pairs of those jeans for free and two at a discounted price, it was worth the investment for me because of the results. If you have jeans you really value and don't mind the added cost, go here. I tried to tip and she refused!! So if I have any dry cleaning or mending needs in the future, I know where to go.

Thank you yelpers! I had some stains on a silk dress and wanted to dry clean it for an event I had that night so I sought the help of yelp. Brought my dress in before 9 and it was done that same day at 5. My dress smelled great and the dress came out so soft (no harsh chemicals). The total was about $14 something which is not that expensive. Nice and super sweet owners and they did a superb job cleaning my dress. I will definitely be coming back.
I really have to give props to the people that own/run this store. They have super excellent service and are genuinely nice people as well.
We are from out of town staying in the city this weekend for a wedding and needed a cleaner to steam/press our clothes due to the fact that they were wrinkled during our flight over here. We turned to Yelp to find a good place to take our clothes to as we needed a quick turnaround on them.
We called them and even though they were closing that day they said to still come by as they were going to be there a little longer. Luckily we were in short driving distance to this place from our hotel. So we headed over there really quick and dropped off our clothes which they said they would be able to take care of for us by the next day! We came back the following day and sure enough they had our clothes, cleaned and nicely pressed.
You don't know how grateful you are for fast quality service when you really need it and you're away from home. Both the husband and wife that own this place are super nice and it didn't seem as if what they charged us for their service was adequate payment as their service far exceeded their price. If I lived here I would drive across town to take my dry cleaning to them.
I would give this place another star if I could! I came in last week to drop off 6 pair of pants that did not fit me and needed tailoring (too long, torn, needed a patch or a button). The pants were ready the NEXT day and all for $75!! Not only did they do a good job for a great price, but they are the happiest/sweetest people ever! Song remembered my name and I had only been in there one time for about 10 minutes. She had my stuff ready to go and I didn't even have to give her my ticket - she just knew where my stuff was. My pants look amazing and I feel like I got 6 pairs of brand new pants for $75! My roommate goes here for dry cleaning, so that is the next thing on my TO DO list. I am thoroughly impressed and consider this place my new go-to dry cleaner/tailor.
In my quest to find all things good, i turned to Yelp and as always, ya'll delivered. This place is majorly service oriented. The owners are extremely nice and I could not believe how much they care about your business. Thats so rare to find in a society thats all about production now and people forget about quality.
Although somewhat pricey to me, you definitely get what you pay for. My clothes were cleaned beautifully, I got a pair of slacks hemmed to their very high standards, and the bonus: a free dry cleaning bag tagged with my name on it so all i have to do is drop it off and they scan that bad boy. If you love your clothes, you'll bring them here.

I absolutely ADORE Nice and Clean. They are the most genial, skilled and helpful cleaners and tailors ever. They always go above and beyond to provide the best service.They make an effort to know your name and to know exactly how you want your clothes to be handled. And they do excellent work for the price! They are amazing!!!!
Beyond trustworthy and extremely friendly. Great service each and every time - not a single issue since Song took ownership. Willing to help you out best they can - once they stayed open an extra 20min because of my own stupidity (stuck in traffic) and flying out of SF early the next morning.
I dropped off some wash and folds ($1.20 lb and they will use your detergent if you are a freak like me and only like one kind) and left $120 cash in a pocket, that I completely forgot about. When I picked them up a few days later David handed me the $120 and cracked a bit of a joke at my expense that I rightly deserved. I don't think many places would be so honest and respectful of your belongings.
Thank you for being inexpensive, efficient, friendly and timely. I have searched years for a good dry cleaner and now that I have found I won't keep it a secret.
This is the best dry cleaners EVER. I am so sad that I have moved away and aren't able to see Song and her husband a couple times a month.
It is organized in their store, and they always greet your with a smile. They are amazing at remembering your name, and I always feel like more than a valued customer when I visit their shop.
They are very quick and efficient, their entire system is computerized, eliminating the chance of missing clothing. They also have a great tailor. I can go to a much cheaper tailor through my previous work, but the turn around time was a week. I was more than willing to pay a bit more for Song's tailoring services as she was usually able to return a bunch of clothes to me, professionally sewn, within a couple days.
I miss them so much. They even gave me my own laundry bag with an ID tag for quick drop offs and pick ups.
I'm almost tempted to mail my dry cleaning to them than have to deal with the hassle of finding another shop that can provide me the same experience!
Nice N' Clean rocks my socks (even though i've never even washed them here). The owners are incredibly polite (they hand you your receipt with two hands and use those restaurant leather bill holder thingies).
The most awesome thing that happened to me here (and the impetus for writing this review) is: I dropped off a pair of slacks for cleaning where I had forgotten that the hem on the cuff (pardon my lack of sewing terminology) had come undone. Anyways, when i got the pants back the hem had been fixed! They didn't even say anything about it when I picked it up and I never paid an extra cent for it! How sweet is that?!
As far as the facts, they have same day pickup if you come before 9am-ish, which is solid, and their prices are average to slightly above average, which I really am totally okay with because they're so nice (n' clean, duh).

I found this place on Yelp of course. I needed my jeans hemmed in a pinch and Nice N' Clean offers same day service if you drop off early enough, which is freaking amazing. Also they do a great job with original hem, they don't fold the jeans under leaving that weird flap in the leg of your jean. I have been there multiple times and every time the owners have been warm and welcoming. This place rock and that is that.

Reason why we love Nice & Clean: All our clothes come back in great condition. Not cardboard when we say lightly starched. All ribbons and buttons accounted for. Good for alterations (although I only had a pair of jeans hemmed). And the TECHNOLOGY. Hallelujah bar code scanning. We drop off our laundry bag and I don't have to wait there and fill out little pink tickets with my name and phone number and how we want the shirts done. In and out. Lost ticket? No problem. You're in the COMPUTER!
My first review on yelp has to go to Nice N' Clean. I continually give them the toughest dry cleaning jobs, with old stains, wine, food, dirt, and they always seem to get them out.
They are super friendly and even though they are a couple blocks farther than I would like, I make the time since they are so good.
Song and Jin are great! Their business is really clean and they always greet you with a genuine smile. I've had clothes dry cleaned, pressed, and patched here and they've all come out great. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because they're a little pricey. Not super expensive but just a little more than the other places in the neighborhood.
Just had to get on and let everyone know my experience. Went in for the first time based on the reviews on Yelp. While I got my drycleaning and laundry back the same day, the quality was far from what I had expected. On one dress shirt, the collar wasn't even ironed straight and on another dress shirt, the cuff was folded over and ironed on.....And they knew this was my first time!!! Yikes! There are plenty of other cleaners out there....just cant say I'm going back. Good luck!!!
I've been going to Nice n' Clean for years. They are great, and Song is very accomodating of my quirks around how my clothes are cleaned. Reasonable price, great service -- it's a pleasure to see them each week and to support their business.
Song and Jin have always gone to great lengths...GREAT LENGTHS to be of service. I've been in this neighborhood for over 20 years and have never had better dry clean / laundry service. They are organized, efficient and very friendly.

My alterations are done on my bridesmaid dress, and they are PERFECT!! I love this place, they treat you like family! The lady who works there, Song, totally knew who I was, and she made sure everything fit well before I paid. I upgraded to 5 stars!
I was driving in the city looking in windows of dry cleaners/alteration places for a place that didn't look sketchy and nasty. Nice n' clean looked pretty good so I popped in to check it out. I was greeted by the nicest lady, Song. Her English was fantastic, I could understand every single word she said. I needed to get major alterations to a bridesmaid dress, and some minor sewing stuff done to cashmere sweaters. She spent almost 1/2 hour pinning me to perfection, and was so extremely pleasant!
I need the entire bust and sides taken in, and a 1 point bustle added to the back. She has a cute little "dressing room" that is a circular rod with curtains, but I was actually really impressed!
I'll get the dress back in about a week, which I think is really fast?!
Why I gave 4 stars...it's gonna be a pretty penny for the alterations...$90 bones for a dress I'll only wear once...I was expecting more around $70, but she was awesome and is doing both of my cashmere sweaters for $5 total! Awesome! She also gave me a great recommendation for a shoe repair place right around the corner, Frank's.
I'll update when I get the dress back, but from what other customers were saying, I should be really impressed with the work!
