All I can say about this place is the portions are huge. HUGE!!! I often share dishes with my SO but you could easily split one of these dishes with 3 or even 4 people. They are huge!!!
Although we had lunch, some neighbors were having breakfast and caught me eying their omelets. They told me they were as good as they looked and recommended this place for breakfast.
I had the fish tacos and what I expected would be a simple staple was anything but. Some of the most flavorful rice and beans I have had in Miami. And the tacos themselves were good too!
I would also recommend the mojitos, but I pretty much always do.
A little pricey but considering the portion sizes and the location, it was actually quite reasonable if not even a little cheap.
We didn't have any trouble with the service on a Saturday afternoon but I wasn't blown away by it either.
BTW - I heard this joint is owned by Cheesecake Factory now, which explains their voluminous menu.

We were seated outside promptly enough, but then we waited... and waited... and waited... and waited... and nobody ever showed up to take our order or even bring us water. And it's not like we were tucked away in a corner or anything; we were seated right by the main walkway. They weren't particularly busy either, as the lunch crowd had already dwindled down by that point.

To anybody who is thinking, "well, why didn't you speak up?", it's a matter or principal. If I'm going eat at your dining establishment, then you should at least treat me like a valued customer.

In the world of food purveyors, consistency is key - while reviewing my notes on this place, I find that it is a restaurant with many personalities. The portions are generous, and they better be, because the prices are generously high for what you get.
It is good food, albeit a tad generic. Granted, unbeatable location - but spotty service - and for the forced gratuity I have to pay, I would expect to always get good service.
In the grand scheme of things, keep in mind, you are in Lincoln Road so you will feel like you fell into a tourist trap, follow your instincts. You did !!But by the same token, what's wrong with that ? Miami Beach is one huge tourist trap.
The pastries are good but these are small and pricey- so pay your bill and head over to the Gelato shop.

Came here, seven people deep, on a Friday night for drinks around midnight.  I was told that they have really good sangria by a friend.  The hostess told us that the kitchen was closed but we could sit for drinks.  We sat in the outside area and perused through the menu.  None of the drinks had prices on them, so we asked the waiter how much the sangria was.  The conversation went like this:

Us: How much is the sangria?
Waitress:  Uh... 9.. or 10
Us: Well, do you have pitchers of sangria?  How much is it, and how many glasses come in a pitcher.
Waitress:  They are $40, and they have like 4-5 glasses.  I dunno, i just pour them and walk away.
Us: ::blank stare::
Waitress: Are you guys just ordering drinks?

At this point, she just turns her back on us and waits on the table behind us.  The party next to us seemed to be having a much better time than we were.  They had their food and drinks in front of them, and just kept on pointing to the menu without asking any questions.  I guess our simple questions were too much for our waiter to handle.

We wait another 5 minutes to see if our waitress will return.  We ask another waitress for assistance.  She says she'll help us, but all she does is tell the original waitress that we're waiting.  We end up walking out, sober, thirsty, and angry.  It's too bad, this place had so much potential.

I would give this place 0 stars for the non existent service we got but I can't.

Not a huge fan. Its like a low end cheesecake factory with piss poor service. I been several times and never had good service. It has taken over a hour and a half to get served once and that was the last time I was there.  I don't plan on going back. There are so many other choices on Lincoln, I recommend avoiding this place.

Great for people watching on Lincoln rd. The food is ok but waaay too big! I mean the salads come out looking like they chopped down a whole forest! Lol.. The entree is huge enough for you and the person you are with and you can even have some left to let the neighboring table have a sample! Check em out!

Came here for lunch with my 4 coworkers.

There was plenty of covered outdoor seating but we decided to sit inside instead of melting in the humidity.  So literally, sweaty-assed hostess seated us at the table closest to the front door.

We were all in the mood for salads so amongst us we ordered the Indochine salad, a Chinese Chicken salad, a Tostada salad, and Haylie's salad.  That last one was mine, a springy mix with chicken, avocados, fresh grapfruit slices, and some other stuff tossed in the right amount of both a vinaigrette, and sweet peanut dressing.

There were no complaints from any of us on our meals except that the portions were gargantuan and we ended up wasting a lot of food.

One of the other girls bitched about how gross the bathroom was so I was forced to hold it.

I'm too hammered to look this up but the menu looks suspiciously like a Cheesefactory menu.

Our server was alright.  I definitely loved my food. This place gets a high cuz I was a tad grossed out by how sweaty some of the employees were and a nice, clean loo goes a long long way.

Hopped off the J bus and headed down lincoln road one night.  I dont know anyone who is more annoyed by sales folks than me, but I was getting harassed by everyone to eat at their restaurant.  I responded by telling them, not to show me the menu, but show me the dishes.  After viewing 6 or 7 dishes along Lincoln Road I came across next and that was it.

Started out with drinks (drinks are very large) and then Ordered a garden salad, which had excellent balsamic vinaigrette dressing and the came then lasagna with portebella mushrooms.  For real, lasagna wth portebella mushrooms is genius.  Finely suated, fresh moooozarell, and delicious lasagna all around.

Price - Very well priced, salad, lasagna and a drink came out to $23.  For South Beach and the quality there, it was very fair.
Outdoor seating and people watching.  All walks of life out there on Lincoln Road.

Had one of the most disturbing dining experiences here.

ordered a salad and when i was half way through i noticed there was a completely different salad underneath. yes everybody, nexxt served me on a plate that still had someone else's half eaten food. DISGUSTING!

i will never ever go back to this place. i cant imagine how it is still in business...

oh and btw they told me i was confused and refused to comp the salad even though i was ready to vomit on it. i didn't want another meal i just didn't want to have to pay for someone else's!

Easy place to go when you have a big group of people with various tastes. The menu is gigantic (impossible if someone in your group does not speak English and you have to translate lol ).
I like to compare this restaurant to Cheesecake factory, very similar. I love their Asian Pear Salad with Chicken and a salad with dates. The food is good and I have never heard anyone complain. The portions are humongous, even if it says "a small salad", it can feed a family of four in some countries. lol
Try to get a table close to the street as this is a great spot to people watch. The service is not the best. Be prepared to wait. The servers are very busy there every night and I had to hunt them down on a few occasions.
Overall, when in doubt, I always choose this place with a big group of people. Everyone always finds something they like in the menu and people-watching is very entertaining for everyone.
P.S. Beware of the beggars, they can be very rude sometimes.

Visited Miami Beach a few weekends ago and found this place online. I liked that it has a large menu and I like the location so figured I would try it out. I was suspicious that the menu looked exactly like Cheesecake Factory. I googled it out of curiousity and found some questionable things. Hmm.

But anyway, I went to Nexxt and ordered the guacamole for an appetizer. It was actually pretty good. I got a sandwich as my entree and it was ok- just way too huge. No complaints about small portions. If anything, I thought the portion was too big for one person and kind of a waste of food.

Sat inside and the ambiance was nothing to write home about. Outdoor seating would have been good if it wasn't so hot.

Overall, I wouldn't go back. No real reason to. Very pricey, OK service and OK food. Plenty of better places to go to.

Boy, it must suck to work at a restaurant where the food really stinks. I'm sure you get the brunt end of customer complaints, so I forgive you for not smiling and giving slightly less than mediocre service to me and my family.

My mother ordered an entree, and the taste was definitely questionable. She sent it back and ordered another entree. 20 minutes later (and after all of us are done eating) she gets her replacement entree. And, you guessed it, she sent that one back too.

I'd like to thank Pizza Rustica at this moment now, for being directly in front of Nexxt and saving the night with a meal that was approximately 72.2% cheaper and 200% more delicious than what we had at Nexxt.

And to quote my brother, "How do you manage to make a shitty Greek salad?"

Save your money. An $18 plate of chicken and mashed potatoes at Nexxt is not worth it. You're not in the middle of the desert, guys. Go to one of the other many worthy restaurants on Lincoln Road and not hate yourself for having such a depressingly mediocre dinner.

Not a huge fan of this place, I really don't understand what all the rage is about.

In my opinion, the food is just okay.  I think it is very VERY rare to find a restaurant with such a large menu that can make everything offered well.  It's next to impossible!

The service here also blows, but then again, that's the service almost everywhere on South Beach for ya . I cannot stand the 18% automatic gratuity added thing....that's why the service blows!  The servers know they don't have to work hard bc most people feel bad to change the tip!

So yes, overall, when choosing where to dine on Lincoln Road, I 99.9% of the time just "next" Nexxt!

I'm not gonna write a long review here for this restaurant.

The food is OK.

The place is usually crowded and you will have to sit outside (so if you don't like the Sun, pigeons, dogs and people walking around you while you eat don't come here.)

There are SOME menu items that standout from the rest and can be really good but over all this place another mediocre tourist-y restaurant on Lincoln road.

There is better food, and ambiance at other great restaurants in the Lincoln Rd. area... go and try those instead.

I used to go to Nexxt about 3 or 4 times a month last year, and the service and the prices were reasonable. Nothing perfect, but pretty good.
I went back today after like six months that I hadn't been there. I have to say i used to pay about $15 for a Miso Salmon, and I came to find today the same plate was raised to $24. I believe that is a crazy rise, for this kind of place.

Today, right after we ordered our food there was a guy in the table Nexxt to us, to whom I turned because i heard him scream I AM LEAVING BECAUSE THERE IS A ROACH ON MY PLATE!!
I was about to get up and leave together with him, but I was with 7 other people, so I decided to stay.

After that, my boyfriend had ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich which said that it was a french toast with ham and cheese, and strawberry preserve. The brought out a whole deep fried sandwich!! THE WHOLE THING WAS DEEP FRIED, WITH POTATOES! No strawberry preserve of course!

That was it for us, I AM NEVER GOING BACK!!

So I'm back from Miami again and I have a bunch of review to do and I'm going to start with Nexxt Cafe!

The food is great the service is ok depending on the time of day that you go to Nexxt.  I suggest you go really early or really late for the best service but not to worry the food will remain good.

I went with my fam bam this weekend and had a good time with crazy granny and the overly picky and difficult mom. I hope they didn't spit in our food for every other issue that came up. If they did my chicken and waffles with the honey pecan caramel glaze was still HELLA GOOD!
The chicken was nice and juicy not over cooked. The spice was nice and had a nice fried crunch as well.  Now let me tell you a lil something about the waffle! I think I just had one of the best waffles I've had in a while. The waffles light and had a nice crisp to it but still soft and chewy.

Me and my little sis split some seared tuna that was rolled like it was sushi  very tasty.

Oh on a side note the restroom is pretty clean but still wash your hands on the way out the door.

I would definitely visit Nexxt Cafe again because the menu is HUGE there is all kind of stuff worth trying!

Walking along Lincoln Rd. You see a lot of people trying to sell You into dining at their restaurant  I really don't like that. I saw this place, no selling, and it was packed. We got lucky with a table in front, so great for people watching.
As for food and drink- I started with a Bloody Mary, which was delicious, then a salad, which was tasty.
I liked it here!!! I would recommend it!

Yes, the portions are big. Yes, the prices are low.  Yes, the service is pretty sucky.  And no, the food is not great.

Nexxt is good if you're starving and on a budget.  Not exactly where I would go to 'dine'.  Not that every night I go out I 'dine'.  I'm perfectly happy going to Sobe Gyro and eating standing up... (I swear! Check out my awesome review of Sobe Gyro...)

But I digress; Nexxt doesn't do it for me.  It a cheaper version of Cheesecake Factory.  Come on, look at the menu, they're exactly the same!

Oh yeah, and the other location was shut down because they didn't pass health inspections.  I consider cleanliness (or lack there of) to be part of a restaurants' culture... as in, if one location is not on the high end of the cleanliness scale... the others probably aren't either.  Not that I've been in the kitchen, but I'm just saying...

Desserts are apparently homemade.  They look good and they are ok. Nothing mind blowing, but edible.

Sorry Nexxt, but I'll be moving on.

Great people watching, right on Lincoln Mall.

Great service. Our waiter was overworked and overwhelmed, but managed to get our orders perfectly and didn't skip a beat.

Food is hugely portioned... I mean huge. The nachos are EPIC.  The salads are epic (get a small and don't say I didn't warn you).  The flavors are... well, varied... my salad was a little overdressed but I found the nachos to be spectacular. For the touristy, overpriced dining options in the neighborhood, I found this place to be above average.

I was having a bad day so my friend Erika decided to drag me to Lincoln Road for a couple of drinks to drown my sorrows. We were walking along and decided on Nexxt. She'd been here a few times and said it was good so I decided to try it. We got seated and waited and waited and waited for our server to arrive. I was beginning to think that the reason they called this place Nexxt was because the service is so bad that you have to get up and say "next!" and hit the next spot. Right when we were about to exit, our server arrived and we ordered our drinks. I started with the strawberry martini and it was awesome! Lots of fruity goodness and garnished with a giant strawberry. It's the perfect drink if you want to fullfill your daily fruit intake and have an alcoholic beverage at the same time.

Next I ordered the pomegranate and raspberry martini but they had run out of pomegranate so it turned out to be just a raspberry one. Once again, very fruity and very yummy! I was feeling better (and healthier with all the fruit) already!

We also ordered the flautas which were big and delicious. I definitely want to come back here and eat because the portions are big and everything around me looked really good!

Yelp really needs a zero star category for places like this.
The food sucks (please excuse my French).
They could not even make a grilled cheese sandwich.
The Coral Gables location closed not because of a dirty kitchen, but because it was even more incompetent than the Miami Beach location. I saw waiters screaming at customers.
Even though it is surrounded by many restaurants that are heads and shoulders better than Nexxt cafe (Spris, Tiramisu, Da Leo, Rosinella, Books and Books, even Davids), the Miami Beach location is usually crowded because the masses are asses.

Had a group of eight people, was enjoying a nice stroll on Lincoln Rd. so decided to go to Nexxt. In the past it has always hurt me to go there because of the awful service but I really enjoy their "Cobb Salad" . The menu is huge and so are the portions!! If someone has a very large appetite this is the place to take them. Daughter loves the four cheese pasta, the spinach dip appetizer is very good. Club, Chicken, Avocado sandwich was fresh, big of course and tasty.
If you get there before five o'clock they offer a lunch menu for a good price and well let's just say the portions are still very very large.
Everything we ordered was good. The waiter we had was fantastic!!! First time after probably fifteen visits have I ever had such great service here at Nexxt.
Most of the time the staff knows they are getting their tip which is included at 18%, so they have the attitude "don't care"
If you can deal with not so great service, and good food, large portions then it's a great place to sit outside and people watch and relax. Wish I knew the waiters name but it escapes me.
My group from London, thought the food was amazing and of course could not believe the posrtion sizes. Fun place to take visitors....

Kind of a Cheesecake Factory in a Miami-style outfit.  Large portions of mass-produced foods with enough of a twist to not look cheap.  The outdoor seating was uncomfortably crowded, and the service slow.  I did not dislike the food, but it did not stand out (nor did I expect it to with the price range).  Overall, not a bad place if you have average expectations and are looking for a large, average meal.  BE CAREFUL, TIP IS ALREADY INCLUDED IN YOUR CHECK!  DONT' PAY TWICE LIKE I DID...

OK...So some folks say that this is a good place to bring a date.  I can see that, but this is a place that I like to go with my buddies.  Where else can you get a one pound burger topped with a steak, cheddar cheese, bacon, and caramelized onions while talking about the great scenery Lincoln Road has to offer.

The biggest complaint I have heard about this restaraunt is that it has slow service.  While this may be the case, I am never in a hurry when I am there.  I enjoy the ambiance and the ecclectic crowd that walks past.  Reminds me a bit of a hip European cafe with a tropical twist.

I have been here many times for business meetings; with family; and oftentimes with friends and this eatery has never failed me.  For Lincoln Road it is extremely reasonable considering the too generous portions you get.

Only complaint is their dessert menu.  Seeing as most hard bodies in Miami Beach skip dessert, I guess its not that big of a deal.  But for those of us who like to get our calories on, I did stop by early one morning (around 12:30a) to find that they only had one dessert option and it was pretty lame.  We ended up leaving.

Reservations are not accepted and the wait is not that bad.  Seems like its always open and always has a crowd.

Be careful, many eateries in Miami Beach include gratuity with the bill as is the case with Nexxt.  I have more than double tipped numerous times as a result of forgetting that fact.

Really really nothing special... dunno what's up with the high ratings.  Sure, the portions are large so you can probably get two meals from it, which makes the pricing good.  The service is fine.

Reminds me of those large chains that don't specialize in anything... like Cheesecake Factory (another overrated restaurant).  The menu selection is huge, which is nice if you're going with a bunch of picky eaters.

The only cool thing about this place is that you can sit outside and people watch... and I love people watching =)

If you're on a budget, eat here... otherwise, keep on walking.

Oh yes the portions were pretty large, more like giant sized but that was just the only pro it has.Unfortunatly for me,I decided to "enjoy"the outdoor seating. The tables were too close together and not enough space.Due to the amounts of food on the floor, there were a lot of flies going around. Our waitress was pretty busy so she forgot some of the drinks we would order, which left us thirsty through out our meal. The calamari wasnt feel fried. The lemonade was tasteless. The pina colada was too thick..why did we come here?90 bucks for lunch( 2 people)we could of gone anywhere else,so many choices..

Okay. After trying another restaurant in South Beach, this one was the best one. The service was not to bad, she was very nice and patient. We took so long to figure out what we wanted because of the amount of items on their menu.

The food was AMAZING! The servings were HUGE! I was very satisfied with my Jamaica Lobster platter. The food came out HOT! The Bacardi 151 Pina Colada was great, the alcohol was strong but I assume that was the Bacardi 151 in it.  We had the chocolate cheesecake and it was so good. I'm very satisfied with this place.

The prices were reasonable and we end up spending a decent amount for three people plus liquor drinks and dessert. This restaurant was really great and we even gave compliments to the manager.

My boyfriend, his brother, his brother's friend and I came  to this place after another diner on Lincoln was trying to entice us with free mojitos.  The boys were really, really excited...but I was like, dude, if they have to give free alcohol away...they must suck at life.  Besides, they'd probably  be watered down.

So we ended up at Nexxt.

Nexxt is basically the same thing as The Cheesecake Factory.  HUGE menu, HUGE portions, weak drinks.
BF's brother told me that service was ridiculous the last time they'd been there, but this was not the case this time.  Things were slow to come out, but the waitress was really, really nice.  In fact, someone ordered a drink that the bartender didn't know and they went online and SEARCHED for it!  Who does that?  It was really sweet of them.
Like I said, food was so slow coming out, and this was like my and my bf's first meals after getting off the plane.  When I asked for bread, they said they ran out, and that kind of sucked.  But in their defense....it was like midnight.
My Madeira Chicken (What I order at Cheesecake Factory!) was decent, huge portion, and the salad dressing was delish.  Everyone else was pretty happy with their food too.
Drinks were a completely different story.  My first drink, the Pomegranete Raspberry Martini was mostly fruit puree.  Not cool.  The Lemon Drop I had subsequently was just okay.  The Mojitos were nothing worth mentioning.
All in all, it was a decent meal, until our bill came.  It was over $170 for a chain restaurant meal for four people.  TOTALLY NOT WORTH IT!  I can understand a martini being over $10, but NOT a crappy mojito.  Also, they automatically charge you 15% gratuity - NO MATTER HOW MANY IN YOUR PARTY!  This might be a Downtown Miami Beach thing.  I'm not sure.  Whatever the hell it is, it totally sucks.  Well, not that we wouldn't have tipped, the server was nice, but still.  It should be our prerogative, regardless of what our prerogative might be.  So suck on that Nexxt!  I would not come back here again, but walking down Lincoln Rd., they are probably a safe bet for people in the area who frequent it.
Even though most things about the restaurant were not cool, I still had to give it 4 stars since they searched for the drink recipe.  That is hilarious... it sounds like something I would have done (even if just out of curiousity) when I used to be a server.

The rock shrimp tempura was absolutely fantastic.  The perfect blend of crunch and spiciness.

The hot dogs are inedible.

It is way overpriced becasue it is located on the cheesy Lincoln Road.

The seating is crowded as the inside is tiny and the outside is cramped (would not sugest trying to eat here on a rainy day- they have about 4 tables inside), the service is slow, there is usually a wait (not sure why).  Not worth it.  Even though most places on Lincoln Road tend to be a bit overrated in my opinion, there is better than this.

The rock shrimp tempura was soo good though so I gave them an extra star! ;)

The service is terrible; it takes forever to get your food, you're lucky to get bread to hold you over... yet I keep coming back. Why? The menu is the most inexpensive and extensive on Lincoln Rd. I LOVE their salads. The portions are big enough to share and locals do so frequently. Good people watching especially on weekends. Cheesecakes are great to, get a slice for take out at the bar inside. Don't order alcoholic drinks here- they are overpriced and might as well be "virgins".

I suppose it serves me right for eating at super-touristy Nexxt Cafe, but I must say, while the portions are huge for the price, I have never EVER had good service while dining here.

This same thing held true on a recent visit (I wish I could say my last, but I know I'll be back).  It was late on a Saturday night, when some of the only options for dining are on Lincoln Road.  We opted to sit inside since we didn't feel like waiting for a table.  We ordered drinks and a bunch of appetizers to split amongst us.  Usually Nexxt offers complementary bread to tide you over till your food comes.  This was not the case for us.  We flagged down a waiter (admittedly not our own), and asked for bread.  She looked like we'd just asked for her first-born child.  I mean, yes, you have your own tables, but how hard is it to just grab a basket of bread & drop it on your way, really?  Probably about as hard as tracking down our waiter and asking him to get us some bread.

I've been here more times than I can count, and every time I walk away saying "never again."  Alas, that never happens.  Nexxt has such a huge menu (a la Cheesecake Factory), that it's always the go-to dining destination when no one can decide what they want to eat.  Plus, you get HUGE portions for the money, which on South Beach, is a huge plus for some people.

Yes, I know this a tourist destination, and they never expect to see the same diners again, but a little common courtesy on the part of the waitstaff would make this a much more likeable location.

I kept saying NEXXT! throughout the meal.  OMG, this place is one of the worst eating establishments whose door I've ever darkened.  They managed to screw up everything my gf and I ordered without fail -- drinks, dinner, you name it.

You know how some places who screw up your order make up for it with gracious service and a try and do better attitude?  Well, service here was inverse to that concept.  Food was unspeakably putrid.  At the end our prickly waitress brought me the wrong entree -- I didn't even send it back because it would have prolonged the nightmare.

We went here because it was convenient, we were tired and it was busy -- if only I'd have yelped first .

I don't understand why this place is always crowded.  The food is pretty mediocre.  The enormity of the menu should have tipped me off immediately.  Order a few drinks and appetizers and it really isn't that cheap.  Sure the portions are large, but none of us even came close to finishing our meals.  Stay away from the fish tacos, grande burrito, flautas, and essentially any Mexican food item on the menu.  I'd also stay away from any of the Asian-inspired rolls on the appetizer menu.  I've come to realize that most of the places on Lincoln Road are just not that good.

Nexxt is the kind of place that you know isn't any good, but you can't help yourself from going back there over and over again.  Every time my girlfriends and I are in Miami, we always end up going here for dinner.  The food is pretty blah, sometimes even a little gross (picture ridiculously enormous salads spilling out of plates and literally swimming in dressing), the service is laughably slow, and the drinks are this odd combination of watery and strong (sounds like it might be ok, but its really not), BUT you get to sit outside and people watch from a great spot on Lincoln Road.  That is literally the only reason we go to Nexxt and will probably keep going, G-d help us.

Best Best best, on lIncoln rd. Never had an issue getting a table. The service is always up to par, even when I call for a pick up order, the food itself can feed 2/3 people. I love the fact that I never go alone go here someone I know is willing to quinch their hunger at Nexxt. The mini hamburgers, quesadilla, and potato spring rolls are divine! I love the location on Lincoln Rd, in a big group we sit outside, and for a little more romantic time my fiance and I sit in a cozy booth. Bring your hunger here and share some good margaritas!!!

I went to Nexxt with a group of friends at 8:30pm on a Friday night. It took about 15 minutes for us to get a table, 45 minutes for us to get bread, 20 more minutes for our appetizer to arrive, and our entrees arrived close to 11pm.
If you have all of the time in the world, go ahead and eat at Nexxt. The food is always good. The portions are Cheesecake Factory sized, but much tastier.
The waiters are the most passive, lethargic, unmotivated human beings on South Beach...but my Asian chicken salad was awesome.
