Coffee and teabags are provided. Free USA Today is in a stack in front of the elevators. I love the bed. My mother admired the marble tiles of the bathroom. Our mini fridge door fits half a dozen bottles of water.
Our desk phone was missing a cord connecting it to the base so it didn't work. The room service breakfasts start at $11.50 with a 20% service charge on top of sales tax. The room has a separate bath and shower. There's no room for a cot. This hotel is located near the 73 freeway.
This was hands-down the WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE of my entire life.
I have never been treated so rudely, unfairly, and disrespectfully.
We came here last weekend with six girls for a bachelorette party and stayed in one of the one bedroom suites. We came back to our hotel room around 2:30AM on a Friday night and had music playing on the Ipod speakers they provide for you in the room.
We hear a knock on the door and open it to find one of their employees, Theo, asking to speak to a lady who had made our reservation but was not even staying there. After explaining that for a few minutes, he proceeds to take my friend who had her credit card on the room (and the Bachelorette) outside to talk to her privately - refusing to let us hear what they were saying. She comes back in and says it is a four person room and 2 girls had to leave. Although we thought this a little unfair as we had no where to go, we complied.
As they were getting ready to leave, Theo is waiting outside and says that he changed his mind and we all have to go. There was no reason and no warning. We were all being really nice and told him the music would stay off and we were going to bed. We were already all in our pajamas!!!!!
It proceeds to turn into the biggest nightmare and Theo was being completely unreasonable and discriminating. He refused to let us change and pack up our stuff in privacy. He stood there in OUR doorway and watched 6 girls get ready to leave. So inappropriate!!
I continuously was asking to speak to a manager or someone who could help us but no one was there... this continued for a good hour of trying to explain our situation. Theo was constantly contradicting himself saying "we give people two warnings and then they must leave." Well, Theo buddy, we only got one!!
So all six of us were forced out of our room at 3:30AM and left to fend for ourselves, no apologies and no explanations. As we were leaving my one friend put her credit card down and told them to take off the other one since it was the Bachelorette's card and we didn't want her to worry about it. We also at this point refused to pay since we were so rudely and obscenely kicked out at 3:30AM. (But knew they would probably charge us anyway)
The next day, both the Bachelorette and my other friend, realize their credit cards have BOTH been charged for almost $500!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Bachelorette was getting overdraft fees from her bank since it was a check card and they charged her. My two friends had to spend the next 3 hours on the phone with the hotel, trying to find someone who could help us and explain these absurd charges. The one room only cost $200 and we somehow got charged almost $1,000. My friends missed half of Saturday staying on the phone with these people to no avail. We were still treated with no respect and given no help or options. It was such a headache and wasted so much time.
Finally, by that Monday, 3 days later, the manager removed the charges after endless phone calls by both my friends to the hotel and their banks, but refused to remove the $200 for the room. WE WERE GIVEN NO APOLOGIES AND NO EXPLANATION FOR BEING CHARGED ALMOST $800 EXTRA.
This was such An unfortunate and horrible experience. We were treated very unfairly and never given an apology for all the time we had to spend fixing THEIR mistake, or an answer to why we were charged $1000.
A Bachelorette party that should have gone smoothly and calmly was almost ruined, and a ton of extra stress was put on the Bachelorette which was so uncalled for and unneeded.
I still await some sort of apology and compensation for what the Bayview Marriot put us through. This is the worst customer service treatment I have ever received.
DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT, STAY HERE.

I really liked the one bedroom suites here. I was here with family, so I got booted to the pull out couch bed. Suprisingly, even the pull out couch was comfortable. Usually at other hotels, the pullout couch bed is uncomfortable and you can feel the springs in your back. The rooms were very spacious, and so were the bathrooms. Very smart room designs with entrances to bathrooms from both rooms, and both rooms had separate tvs. This made it great for me since I'm on a different sleeping schedule than my family, and tend to sleep much later than them.
I can't really comment on the service since we were only here for two nights, and we were mostly in and out of the hotel. However, the front desk staff was always friendly and very helfpul. Especially with my mom who acts like she just came to America and asks a million questions, they were super nice.
I also enjoyed the pool a lot. Perfect sunny day, neat indoor/outdoor pool.

Alright so I came here with Bboys Anonymous (BBA for short). This review is slightly biased considering I didn't try out all the amenities. So it would be a bit bias, but bear with me. As I entered the lobby, the staff is attentive and equipped and the place is well kept.
I awaited for the host of the night, from the Engineering Organization to come meet us to escort the group to the performance area. We entered the Pacific Ballroom, equipped with a nice array of chairs and tables set up around a diamond, propped up dance floor (which I wasn't too fond of but, we'll get back into that).
Here was the few things I did try, while in the hotel:
-Caesar Salad: nothing spectacular, same thing I've tried in plenty of other places
-Almond Bunt Cake: Sweet, Cinnamon, and Moist
-White Russian: Probably the most expensive one I've purchased from any bar...about $15.00.
The service we received was near excellent (of course with the unexpected, need of water after a performance for the group). The place had a really good sound proof wall installed, however the dance floor was one of those, pack and go dance floors, therefore, it was a bit bumpy on some spaces and not that good for Bboying indeed (we need smooth surfaces, keyword: SMOOTH).
Maybe it's the appeal and perhaps an off night, considering I wasn't pleased with all the moves I hit. But until I get to experience the full "Marriott Experience" this place deserves a second look in the future, if I ever get to stay here.

Two stars off because there was vomit in the elevator that remained for two days. Well, one day, then it was "cleaned", but the stain and smell near made me vomit right on it.
One star off for being so damn complicated to get around! I almost got lost to and from my room at night. Seems sort of dangerous to have huge empty and dark places like that concrete courtyard.
Pretty in the lobby, all right in the room with the fountain, but the rest was not up to very high standards in my opinion.

Stayed here on a biz trip recently.
I had a perfectly fine hotel experience. In fact, I really liked the one room suites. I didn't need a lot of service while I was here, but everyone seemed friendly.
What a fantastic hotel. All the rooms are 1-bedroom suites with the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in in my life. It's right on the bay, making for a gorgeous view and great opportunities for scenic strolls. Also in very close proximity to all things OC - Fashion Island, South Coast plaza, excellent restaurants, etc. The facilities seemed very nice, although my stay here was so short I didn't get to check everything out. If you're on business and need a place to stay in the area, I highly recommend it.

A little dissapointed that they did not have a concierge room, and their gym stinks. Also, their rooms are a little outdated. Still, the hotel is overall decent, and the view of the bay is awesome.
Nice hotel convenient to SNA, Newport Beach and Irvine. Generally comfortable beds and the rooms are all spacious (they are all one bedroom suites with a separate living room area). Decent room service. Parking is an extra $15 a day but they have a free shuttle from the airport. The internet connection is at times painfully slow. All around a nice place to stay if you are on business in the area. Much better than the SNA airport Marriott.
