We gave them a go multiple times, & each time we were left wanting & did not finish their food.
We ordered some pies, & the only thing done remotely correct was the dough. The sauce has an off taste that I could not place. & the toppings were not fresh, & also did not taste correct.
So after not being satisfied with the pies we decided to give their Stromboli a go. Disappointment again. Again the only thing correct was the dough. Now mind you the dough was never great, but it was edible. Overcooked on the outside & still doughy on the inside. The "toppings" again were not fresh & tasted off. The marinara was horrible, it was as bad as the pie sauce & may have been the same thing.
When charging $2+ per topping, you expect it to be fresh. Not weeks old or from a tin or jar. Any place (that makes Italian food) that does not even have fresh garlic, worries me! & I am talking from a bulb, again not from a tin or jar.
It's no wonder that they have such a low rating, when you can get better food from the gas station across the way!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Barbie B.Clifton, VA8189Nov 10, 2023Updated review
ok, third time, probably won't be back. Whole pies, fresh, tasty.
Slices...don't know how long it was sitting out...but will never order by the slice ever again...gross.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 7, 2023Previous reviewSince I had enjoyed the pizza, but not the service, decided to try again.
Second time was the charm. Service was friendly and helpful.Aug 29, 2023Previous reviewI suppose with a captive student audience, they get all the business they need either way, but based on my recent experience, I felt a review was a good idea.
Pros: pizza was surprisingly very tasty...the way I like it - thin crispy crust, real cheese.
Cons: service was shockingly bad. I walked up to the counter and while I was placing my order and mid-sentence, the order taker interrupted me to take a phone call. The guy (young, tall guy with glasses) didn't put the call on hold so I could finish my order, instead he left me hanging to take that order. After he hung up, I expected him to return to my order. NO! He started preparing their order and left me just standing there! I walked around to find another employee to help - crazy right? and saw a manager/owner speaking to someone - he told that person to help me.
Nuts, just wrong on all levels. No apologies, no courtesy, nothing. - J A M.Brooklyn, NY39250Oct 31, 2022
Love this place.
This is a response to Ken M on his review:
Dudeeeeeee what are you talking about? LMAO !!! I need more details on why you need sufficient lighting or else you will miss your mouth. I am so confused.
His review had me cracking up and he seems like an entitled little brat.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bruce P.NY, NY03Apr 21, 2023
Clean, friendly counter waitress with a good selection of pizzas for a lunch person like myself.
Sounds like the management changed since the poor reviews.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kristin H.NY, NY01Aug 20, 2023
My family ordered pizza, I had a Turkey sub. The pizza was delicious and the sub was AMAZING! The bread is made in house and it's so fresh. Ask for Italian dressing to go with the sub, so good! Inside is small and dated. Service was fast and friendly!

I had just made a long drive from the Outer Banks of North Carolina and was ready to relax, have a beer, and a few slices of NY pie. The place seemed nice enough, so I ordered a few slices of pepperoni. Upon sitting down, I noticed the light fixture above my booth had all of the sudden stopped working. Most people would simply ignore such a trivial, non-emergency event and focus on their meal. However, I really need to be able to see my food while consuming as I sometimes tend to miss my mouth without sufficient lighting. When speaking to the employee there about getting it fixed, they said it appeared to be an electrical issue and there was nothing they could do about it in the short term. This was clearly unacceptable to me, so I offered that they simply give me a free slice since all of the other lit tables were full of patrons. After all, how else could one compensate for such an immense inconvenience. Unfortunately, the staff didn't see it my way and were under the impression that I was WAY over dramatizing this just to weasel them out of a few bucks. The person working there even accused me of over indulging on Crown Royal prior to the conversation. I was so offended, albeit so hungry, that I had to eat the rest of my (full price) pizza in the well-lit hallway leading to the bathroom. That's right....I HAD TO EAT MY PIZZA IN THE HALLWAY!!! This establishment doesn't put their customers first and is not worth your patronage.

Ordered food for delivery at 5:17 on Friday night, never asked for our address. Told it would be about 35 minutes. At 6:27 called and they said it had been sitting there but they would redo it and deliver. Less then 20 minutes later delivery guy shows up with food. Chicken parm sub, 20 garlic wings, and garlic knots, $64. Food is COLD and wings have no sauce. Called and asked for my money back and they hung up on me. Calling again now. If you are in morrisville and want pizza, order from the Coral. Much better service!!!

I just ordered a pie and paid with cash. The young lady took my order, handled money, and headed straight to the fridge to remove the dough and form my pie. She did so with her naked hands. Where the hell were her gloves?! The health code violations in here are endless.

I ordered the tomato basil specialty pizza. It was absolutely delicious! Tasted very fresh, seasoned great, and was cooked and served at a reasonable time.
In other visits to New York Pizzeria I have ordered by the slice, which was okay. (I think that method is reheating a plain slice with your added toppings) Ordering a whole fresh pizza is definitely the better option.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Antonio S.Jefferson, NY327Jan 16, 2019
This was a nice looking traditional pizzeria, however, when I got my pizza, which I did receive for a good price and very quickly, it wasn't cut at all, and there was not nearly enough cheese on it. However, the pizza was still decent, even if it was difficult to eat. The sauce on the pizza overly sweet, and tasted as if it just came out of a can with no seasoning whatsoever. The crust of the pizza was very doughy and far too thick. It seemed as if it was made with minimal effort. Maybe good for drunk college students on a Friday night, but terrible for any actual Connesuer of pizza.
