Not sure why all the sour-puss reviews.  Its a dry cleaner, not a 5-star restaurant.

The service is good - I would even say friendly.  There may be a slight language barrier at times, but the lady who runs the front/register is always super friendly.  I've been going here for 2 years, so she knows me by name now and doesnt even ask for my name/phone number anymore.  They also have plant on premisis, so they will do same-day cleaning for you as long as you get there early enough.  They also take back your old hangers to recycle them.  I always felt bad about throwing away stacks of metal hangers, but their recycling has calmed my greener conscious.

Just another business demonstrating that customer service is dead.  I went in to drop off 4 men's shirts and one ladies satin blouse.  I was the only customer.  I stood at the counter at least 5 minutes before I started to yell "hello" to the staff within eye shot and not far from me. Mind you, I did so in a cheery voice with a smile.  Every person looked at me, not one made a movement toward to the counter to help me.  I should have walked out.

It's a massive peeve of mine when business's (especially in this economy where I could go to any number of other places with my business) treat you like they could care less if you come to them.

When someone finally graced me with her assistance, she looked like she just sucked on a bowl of lemons.  She never made eye contact with me.  She never asked if I wanted starch (which I did, so I asked her to please lightly starch the men's shirts) to which she grunted.  Being Caucasian living in the Argyle area, married to an Asian man, I ALWAYS go out of my way to be kind and polite.  So it really irks me when there is no reciprocation at all.

She asked for my phone number, and when I started to give it to her I mentioned it was my first time here.  She stopped inputting my number, she never asked for any distinguishing info (name, address, etc).  I was informed the items would be ready in two days and it would be $10.

When I came back I was again the only customer.  Again I waited and had to yell "hello", only this time no one came.  I had to do it several times before the same lady - looking just as sour - came to the counter- not making any eye contact, asked for my phone #.  I told her I was new and that when I came in the other day she didn't take my whole #.  It took her another 5 minutes to find my clothes; the entire time she had a chip on her shoulder so big I thought it would tip her over.  I paid my $10 and vowed never to return.

There are dozens of cleaners in the Uptown area.  Screw going to someplace like this.

If you want someone to be nice to you, don't come to this cleaners.  On the other hand, if you want your clothes cleaned, all your shirts returned to you, and ready on time, then this is the place.  They over-charge for repairs and there's no smiling allowed, but they sure do know how to wash & press shirts.
