We finally made it!  We've been living in Tiburon for 3 years and saying we were going to have breakfast outside here, but we always head away from the peninsula for food.  Glad we finally did.

We got there about 9:30 on a Saturday and immediately got a nice picnic table outside for the three of us.  Wonderful sun on the side of the building. Decent coffee, good mocha and a delicious blueberry smoothie (which Sam was able to take to go and finish while we watched the pelicans dive bomb in the bay) were nice to start.

I had the breakfast burrito with black beans and it was nice. (Living in Austin, TX for 2 years it is hard for me to be too generous in my language.)  Light on the chorizo so it is an accent rather than the dominant taste, which was just right for a breakfast burrito.

Mary enjoyed her huevos rancheros and Sam his french toast (with plenty of fresh fruit).

Friendly, attentive service.

And really, it is hard to beat walking around the peninsula watching all the birds and seals afterward to help the digestion!

This is a great breakfast place. The vegetarian eggs benedict (with avocado) are outstanding, the service is almost always impeccable, and the orange juice is fresh squeezed and delicious.

It is kid friendly and the menu (I have tried most things on it) is outstanding. It is hard to find a back choice here.

Eating outside is nice as well, although if the garbage trucks come by it is quite loud and a distracting influence. Minus one star for that. That said, if it is a nice day, it is wonderful to sit outside and enjoy the fresh air while you eat just delicious food.

Weekend mornings offer a wait, but the staff is very quick at turning around tables and the place is always clean. If you linger over your table, no one gives you the stink eye. It has a very nice ambiance.

It was either the paradise cafe, or this place...  and since the paradise cafe was DEAD empty and people were eating here, we chose here (i.e. there's GOT to be a reason why nobody (and I mean ABSOLUTE ZERO) people were at the paradise cafe...  hmmm...
We rated the food a solid 3-4 stars...  a little pricey for what they serve, most likely hyped up because of the locale.
Club sammy was okay...  BLT was okay...  Tuna melt was quite good... chicken soft tacos were interesting- fresh greens, but crappy chicken.  Again, when I have La Tapatia right close for AWESOME soft tacos, I can't tolerate the $5/taco crappiness served everywhere else.
A little small on the inside.  No kids menu...

I've been coming here off and on for years, and this is by far my favorite breakfast option in Marin.  The service is always super friendly.  I don't know how they manage to make their coffee so tasty but theirs is the best I've ever had in a restaurant.

I often get their combo special which is great as it has a couple of their delicious, fluffy pancakes with their equally good home fries and an egg.  The only thing I've had there that I wasn't overly fond of was their waffle.  I like a thick, Belgian style waffle and this was thin and crispy.

Their egg dishes, especially their Benedicts and scrambles, are also excellent.  And don't forget to try their fresh squeezed juice!  They have orange which is great, but I love their grapefruit.  It's so pulpy and delicious that you feel you almost need to chew it as opposed to drink it.

Pancakes were original and fantastic. Bacon was first class. Coffee was boutique-coffee shop quality and the fresh squeezed orange juice was delicious. Yes, it's a bit of a tight squeeze and yes you pay a Tiburon premium, but still worth it. Service was breakfast place standard.

Initially, first came here because it is the most convenient place in tiburon to sit outside, in your spandex, with your bike, after a long ride.   (sorry, other patrons, about the lunch you lost from all the spandex)

Anyway, the food was actually really good so I've been back now a few times, sans spandex, and have found it is even more delicious without the constriction of bike shorts. The home fries are really good, I've had the breakfast burrito and huevos, would def have both again.

Service is a little slow, but I actually kind of like that since its definitely one of those chill outside for a while type of places.  And the blood orange fresh squeeze is super refreshing....

Food = great.  Not greasy, delicious flavors, and nice portions.  I had their waffle combo (one perfectly crispy waffle, two chicken sausage links and one fried over-easy egg).  Their raspberry scones are good but a bit too sweet for me.   Next time, I'm trying the eggs benedict.

Their coffee drinks hit the spot, and their OJ (currently) is blood-oranges that are quite sweet and tangy.

Service = friendly.  The guy was just very nice and attentive.

Prices = good.  Quality is great.

This place is not that big, and they do have outdoor seating too.

What a great way to spend a morning of the brand-new year.  :)

Been here a couple of times and consistently a really great place for brunch and lunch and people-watching. The outside tables are on either side of the sun-drenched corner building. Inside the tables are a bit close but nonetheless a fun, enjoyable atmosphere. Excellent mellow espresso drinks (they didn't burn the beans) and the mochas are wonderful. I've not tried any of the egg-based dishes yet but friends find them delicious. Also all the diners seem to belong to the clean plate club. The salads I've had here are fresh and incredibly flavorful in fact they're generally better than the ones down the street at Caffe Acri. If there's a wait around noon on the weekends, hang around - you won't be disappointed. If in Tiburon for lunch or brunch, this IS my stop. Can't wait to get back.

Had a great burger with Sean Penn in the restaurant. Outside seating is great. It's a bit pricey, but I think that's the neighborhood. $10.50 for a burger plus $1.50 for cheese. Would gladly go back. My friend had the chinese chicken salad. He says "fresh ingredients but the dressing was lacking."

I just love this place.  I have so many great memories here.  Came back yesterday with a couple of girlfriends with a baby and dog in tow.   They treated us like royalty (major kudos for bringing my Lucy dog treats - never mind she spit the treat right out, cause she's finicky like that!).

I have so many happy memories of Sunday afternoons here with friends after having cycled over from SF.  We spent many hours here gossiping, debating and solving the world's problems.  AND, I have never had a bad meal here.  They serve breakfast and lunch.  Their food is much better than your typical brunch spot.  Every entree I have ever enjoyed here, is fresh, tasty and perfectly portioned (even after a long bike ride).  I usually get the grilled chicken breast sandwich (on toasted rye!), or the veggie sandwich.  I have had the chicken tacos too and they are delicious.  Yesterday, I enjoyed a delicious melty sundried tomato & eggplant on baguette sandwich.  It really hit the spot.

The restaurant inside is really tiny and cramped.   Outdoor seating is on picnic tables.  It's not fancy by any means nor gourmet, but perfect for a casual brunch.

I love that the same waiter who has served us for like 10 years is still there!

WOW! Great food! My Boo and I went to Tiburon and decided we were in the mood for a bite and although it was already late we wanted breakfast. We asked around and three out of four people pointed us to this place: New Morning Cafe...
When I walked in I can tell why... it's a tiny little place in downtown Tiburon. Even though the place is tiny it was packed with local people. It was such a fun cozy atmosphere... we were seated by our waiter and as I was heading to out table I saw freshly baked muffins and that right there was trouble.
The menu has a variety of breakfast items. I usually get a denver omelet with some not so minor modifications done, but I decided that I wanted to try something different. I went for the breakfast burrito which had ham, egg whites, avocado, cheese, salsa, tomatoes and bell peppers. I was excited about getting my burrito. OMG when I took the first bite... all I could say was "tasty, tasty, tasty" wow.. the flavor of the burrito was "on point" as my lovely co-worker and friend Alana H. says.

Not only was it good it was pretty big... I somehow managed to eat most of it. My Boo's omelet looked good, I was too excited with my food I didn't even bother to taste his.
I would say this is a must in Tiburon. I have to say I was stuffed I didn't have the energy to eat a muffin... but they sure looked and smelled good.

Breakfast served all day! What more could you ask for? Nothing beats a carefree brunch at this cool breakfast nook in downtown Tiburon.

Outside seating. Cozy inside. Crowded but totally worth it for the food. Nothing fancy smancy about the presentation or odd ingredients, just great breakfast items and lunch salads, sandwiches, and soups. Specials of the day are offered too. They had a brie and bacon omelet. Mmmm.

The eggs benedict dish was absolutely scrumptious!! Perhaps the best I've had (I always order this dish at every breakfast place).

Definitely a good place to stop by before your morning walk.

RE-POST AND UPDATE

UPDATE ON 1/16/08:

I dropped in here today for a bowl of warm soup when my meeting was delayed. It was lunch time and I was hungry. Chicken noodle w/ a small piece of sourdough bread.

If I'd been sick it would have been very good. I'm not sick, so I am a little more picky. It was still good. Could have used a little more chicken, but there were lots of noodles & carrots. It was warm and the broth was tasty.  I'll be back the next time I'm cold & hungry, my meeting is delayed and I need a good bowl of soup.

RE-POST FROM 9/12/07:

Ride the ferry over in the fog early in the morning from the City and follow your nose to the breakfast smells of hot coffee & bacon.

It's only 1/2 a block down Tiburon Blvd to the New Morning Cafe. Even if it's a little chilly, the outside tables in the sunshine are great. The service is friendly and all the breakfast items are hot and yummy. They also do great lunch, so don't pass it up in the middle of the day either.

If they did have problems in the past, I've never experienced anything but just good food and lots of it.

If you don't want to sit outside, the inside of this little cafe is warm, cozy and inviting!

Tell them I sent you . . . probably won't make any impact, but at least they'll know that we are spreading the word on how great this place is.

Not open for dinner . . . . maybe someday!

BREAD PUDDING.  Bread Pudding, Bread Pudding, Bread pudding.

The hallelujah chorus played when we ate it.   My companion noted that the music before and after the bread pudding had been from her Buena Vista Social club CD.  Either the staff puts it on the stereo when the pudding is served, which would be completely appropriate...or it was some sort of momentary folie a deux, induced by the most custardy rich sweet creamy bread pudding I had ever had.  It was, indeed, a religious experience.

Order it 20 minutes in advance as directed on the menu.   Order when you order your food.    Just do it - don't wait to see if you're full or not.  Had I had the option of ordering bread pudding after a nice chorizo breakfast burrito, I would have passed, missing what is now marked as one of the premier dessert moments of my life.

Oh how I used to love coming to this place for their delicious artery clogging Eggs Benedict and the lovely picturesque drive to Tiburon.  On a lucky morning the lights would favor me and I could hit that nice quick sweeping curve near Blackie's Pasture just right, then enjoy the pleasant cruise to downtown and find one of those ample parking spaces right close to the cafe.

On a recent visit back the drive was much the same, pretty as always in spite of every scenic square inch becoming ever more encrusted with the homes of the upper crust, and the atmosphere of the cafe was as agreeable as always. I ordered my customary Benedict and unfortunately it did not break the spell of continual decline I'd noticed the last couple of times I'd been here. The yellow hollandaise had more texture then flavor and the stiff consistency left the rest of the Benedict dry. The sauce was also on the cold side which did not help. The potatoes were super though, well done and grilled with onions.

Overall I'd say the majority of breakfast items I've seen and sampled are fine and there's nothing wrong with them except for the price being on the high side (around $10 for the egg brekkies as I recall) - but the Benedict is simply not good like it used to be.

Just went there today for breakfast (a meal that I don't normally consume), but since I was staying at my parents place for the night, I figured, what the hell, let's see what all this fuss about breakfast is all about.

Alot of their menu items looked really good, but I decided on the Bacon omlette.   Contents consisted of Bacon (everybody now.. "mmmmm bacon"),  Avocado, tomatoes and cheese.  Pretty decent portions for b-fast and  it also came with Potatoes and toast.

This is a nice place to just sit back,. relax and people watch.

Great location for a delicious breakfast after a run or walk in Tiburon.  The menu has several kinds of egg dishes including benedicts, omelets, etc plus pancakes and waffles. They use great ingredients like high quality cheese and meats/sausages. Homefriees are delicious. Yum! The service is fine and prices are reasonable.

Excellent!  We decided to try someplace different today, so I went onto Yelp and found the New Morning Cafe in Tiburon.  I felt like we were on vacation.  The sun was out, it was quiet and peaceful and everyone was so nice. The place was crowded but we didn't have to wait long for a table outside.  The staff was extremely friendly and made us feel at home.  The food was decicious!!  We have officially added this place to our list of places to go back to again.

Great brunch spot, delicious home fries, bacon, eggs, pancakes, and more. Never been there for lunch. When my dad and I lived in Tiburon, this was THE spot on a weekend morning. Take a bike ride there on a nice day and sit outside. I gave them four stars as the prices are on the high side.
