I had the buffet and the selection is poor; nevertheless, I love their fried chicken.  The fried chicken is very good.

I get dinner from here sometimes and this place is actually pretty good.  Its probably the closest thing to authentic chinese cuisine I've had in the downtown area.  The setting is a little dated, but in my experience, drab chinese restaurant setting usually equates better than average eating, which is how i rate this.

The foil chicken is great, along with anything fried.  The soups are also quite delicious.  basically everything I've eaten there was darn tasty.  

The employees are all very friendly, and will recognize and remember you on your second visit, which I really liked.  I have never tried the buffet.

I've only been there once for the buffet, but I keep meaning to go try ti again. When my parents lived in Sac in the 70's this was their favorite place. A few years ago my mom wanted to see if it was still around - and it is. I thought the food was good though it's definitely not your higher end type stuff.  My only real complaint is that by leaving the tongs in the food they become too hot to handle. Maybe they've fixed that. Or maybe that's how they keep people from eating too much!
