For all the pregnant women out there,GO and see the doctors at NLC ! When I was pregnant with my second child I had very bad pubic bone pain to the point I could barely walk. Also my baby didnt want to turn at the end of pregnancy, so I was afraid about a c-section. But Dr.Mason and Dr. Mccaffrey took care of my pain, it was totally gone after couple treatments. Dr. Mason used a technique on me, which made the baby turn. I was able to enjoy the last weeks of pregnancy PAIN FREE! I should have gone earlier! I keep getting adjusted and also get my baby checked. He was constipated for a while but chiropractic helped him a lot, who knew! Thanks NLC!

The office is clean, the staff is pleasant, and there is ample parking. I've never been bothered or hustled to be seen by a doctor but I'd be open to an adjustment by either of the two doctors, if I felt I needed one. -

First of all, Dr. Julia Mason and Dr. Janet McCaffrey are both awesome chiropractors. And I think Dr. Julie Mink is too! I just never met her before.
Due to my painful back, last October I was desperate to find any form of relief to cure the shooting and sharp pains away. What drew me into Chiropractic Care was many months before hand when I attended the Haight festival and was consulted by a chiropractor there. Unfortunately, SF was too far for me to commute just for a doctor, so I figured something else will come up in the future. Being the person that I am, I take forever to really get the ball rolling. So luckily, meeting them at the San Carlos Art & Wine Festival had to be my best bet.
So I was set up for my first consultation appointment. I was scared and skeptical at the same time. Janet is awesome, she took xrays and I discovered a lot about my bone structure. I figured that my shooting pains from behind my shoulderblade were coming from my neck.... my strained and 40year old bone structured neck was causing the problem. It was so sad, I always wondered why my chin would stick out so much.
Since I had began my chiropractic care at New Life Chiro., studying has been one of my worst enemies because I would always look down and stare at my books for hours. My shoulder pains do not hurt as much as they did before, and I deinitely come out of that office feeling like I'm a new person!! It gives me a feeling that my bones finally have a chance to breathe again. So if you want to go to a nifty and refreshing looking chiropractic office, with fabulous doctors, and an awesome and sweet receptionist, Isis, don't hesitate to try New Life Chiropractic!

I've never been a fan of Chiro's. I've always had a pretty jacked up spine, and heavy neck issues. In my younger years, I'd go to this Chiropractor Group who literally "forced" me to go 4 times a week, and made me feel like if I don't do traction for the rest of my life, every night, and hang my head over the side of my bed backwards while I slumber, that I would die a very slow painful, humpbacked lil 'ol lady.
Not at New Life Chiro! They're AWESOME! THEY're REALISTIC. They are so amazingly sweet, talented, knowledgeable, and reasonable!! I'm one of those peeps who goes every few weeks, Dr. McCaffrey usually adjusts me (she rocks - but they ALL do!) and I feel FABULOUS for another go 'round. And have NEVER felt pressured in anyway.
They also stay on-top of me, as far as following up ( I sooo need that!) and making sure I get in when I want to. Very accomodating! But not pushy in the slightest bit! The front desk gal, Kim, uses awesome verbal skills to "train" me that I need to put the not so necessary priorities on the backburner for my health. She's a doll.

Thanks to YELP :) I found New Life Chiropractic! Dr Julia did my adjustment and treatments - I got a free - xray and 30 min massage promotion deal which is great! I did 10 visits and now the pain is completely gone..yipeyyy!!! At first I was skeptical but really - Dr Julia is awesome & very knowledgable!
Now my coworker is in treatment with them as well (She has shoulder pain which she ignores for a really loooong time) :) We'll see how it goes, but I'm sure she'll feel a LOT better, just like me!

I found out about New Life Chiropractic at a farmer's market. Not having insurance or income, I was wary about $45-60 12 minute adjustments, but the chiropractor assured me it would be affordable for me. As another reviewer mentioned, I was instructed to enter a small room and watch a video alone about x-rays. After a cursory review, the chiropractor started the sales pitch and pushed me to prepay for at least 10 visits. I was not interested but agreed to have x-rays taken. At the next visit, I was again instructed to enter a small room alone and view another video about x-rays. When I expressed disappointment with the price, the chiropractor threw in the "special laser." Don't fall for the laser.
I would probably have a different opinion if I were a regular patient, but after two visits, I got a sense that NLC is more of a business than a health care facility. Enough with the sales efforts. The chiropractor AND the receptionist called me to see if I wanted more visits. By the way, the chiropractors and staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. It just wasn't for me. -

My wife signed up for their introductory offer (an exam and the first treatment) at the San Carlos wine and art festival. We were told the first visit would take roughly one hour and would cost $20 - no more, no commitment! My wife went there for the first visit and then they wanted an additional $60.
I'm not rating the quality of their care ... only the methods they use to promote their business. -

Been seeing Dr. Mason and Dr. McCaffrey for over a year now. They are wonderful. The office is comfortable and well run. Seldom have to wait for more than a few moments. You are made to feel important and they take the time to treat "you" without being pushy. They do battle with my insurance so I don't have to. Have done chiropractic care on and off for many years and they are my favorite chiro Docs, ever.

I've been going to New LIfe for roughly 7 years. I started going b/c I was working out a lot and tweaked my back. Going for regular adjustments allowed me to be more physical than I could have otherwise, and boy do you leave there feeling good! Pounds creeped on as the years passed, so I recently went on the hcg diet. Having the support of docs Janet and Julia made all the difference in being able to stick to it. It was amazing how simple it was to see fast results. I kept wondering why I never considered it sooner. The whole office staff is so supportive, it is like going into a personal cheering squad every week - and getting an adjustment to boot.

What can I say except that the staff is great and the service and care is top notch. Even though I don't live sooo close, I won't change Chiropractors because the care and results at New Life are so good. Both Dr. Mason and Dr. McCaffery are patient and listen to their patient's needs and do their best attend to every need in an environment that is very comfortable and relaxing. Highly recommended!!!

Yes, they are friendly and sincere but the process is long and unnecessary. At your first appointment you do not get to see a doctor, you have to go through a long selling process on the value of chiropractors and watch videos, read out loud from chiropractor cards and the person tells you what bad shape your spine is. At that point , you are signing up for multiple adjustments per week and an x ray (which is mandatory). The doctors are sincere but I question if everyone needs multiple adjustments per week and I felt my time was wasted the first visit.

What a great experience!! Dr. Janet & Dr. Julia are professional and friendly. They listened to my problems, and adjusted me that day. I was informed about certain exercises, stretching techniques, and proper ice & heat applications that cured my back ailments. I highly recommend them!!

Fantastic with children !!!
My daughter has had significant neck pain for two years. We have been to many doctors and went the regular route for help. Fast forward to beginning of school year and she is crying every night due to neck pain. I decided to give New Life a shot. Dr. Julia Mason was amazing with my 9 year old daughter. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. They returned my call the same day and even switched their schedule around to see us that day, due to my daughters pain. Every time we walk in they use our first names and make us feel at home. We have been three times and my daughter no longer has any neck pain. We can now do her two hours of homework every night without tears. This is truly amazing and has changed our qualiity of life !! I was even willing to pay for this out of pocket as I thought my insurance would not cover it however Dr. Mason checked her computer and it turns out it is covered by my insurance and they took care of the billing!!! From the first visit my daughter felt safe and secure with Dr. Mason. This is a fantastic chiropractic office for both children and adults!!! -

Dr. Mason and McCaffrey have really helped with neck, shoulder and back pain I had been experiencing. I didn't know much about Chiro care prior to my first appointment but their review process included tons of education so I felt well prepared on my first adjustment. They both have different styles so depending on the kind of pressure or adjustment you wanted you could see either of them. It's great knowing there's some flexibility in case one of the dr's is busy. Also the process was fairly quick for me and the dr's evaluated the number of times I needed to come in accordingly so I wasn't being over adjusted. I felt that was honest and having heard stories about my friends who pay monthly fees and just come in as much as they want, I thought this was much better. Ask them about working with your insurance to get most of the cost covered. I was only paying $10 copays. So worth it! I feel at least 95% better and have moved to maintenance ... I still look forward to my adjustments and you will, too!
