Never been here a day in my life so my rating isn't for the location itself. HOWEVER PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD CHANGE THE NUMBER LISTED!!!
I'm so tired of the random calls. I get enough from spammers. I take care of my twins all day and would rather only have to answer my phone for important reasons!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Sean M.Jacksonville, FL286697408Jul 12, 2015Updated review
These guys are legitimately awesome. Not only are they making great new stuff at a record pace, but it's really cool and great quality. It's so nice to have people making true one of a kind stuff from inexpensive magnets, hand made art and 3D printed products, all the way up to life size replicas of Rocket Raccoon.
All this, plus they are just super nice dudes. Come by, say hello look at some fun stuff and support local artisans while you're at it.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0Jun 21, 2015Previous reviewThis is a new business and one that I'll be visiting regularly from here on out. Simply put the art done in this place is nothing short of awesome.
They just opened and I've been by a few times and every time I have their collection of work just keeps growing and the level of artistry and detail goes up too.
What they are is a pop culture art manufacturing store. Paintings, sculptures, mixed media, and 3D printed stuff too makes this a place you should check out. They are even willing to do commission work, which I plan to utilize as I want a painting of my favorite comic book character, Archangel of the X-Men.
Prices are very reasonable for what you are getting. You can get hand painted canvases for $40+ and you can get smaller paintings on framed card stock for 15+. If you have time to walk around the store you will be saying "oh, that's cool" every two seconds. The best part is that they are connected to Mythical Mountain Comics and the owners and staff there are so nice that it's a great place to come to.
Support local art, especially if it's affordable and it's from the heart, which you can tell this totally is. - Allie A.Jacksonville, FL9525075531Sep 21, 2015
Nerds unite! And even if you think you happen to NOT be a nerd, keep reading, because there is bound to be something for you at this amazing, locally made art gallery.
No longer only for the stereotypical pen protector type, there are a million things people love and are passionate about.
Your favorite movie. Your favorite book. Old school comics, amazing new TV series and shows, video games.... you get the picture.
So, I happen to be a bit of a TV and book nerd as of late. Give me Breaking Bad, or Game of Thrones.... and I get a bit giddy.
So if you have one of these passions, or have someone in your life that does (ahem, I think that's probably most of us) this shop will give you one of a kind pieces of art to proudly display your passions. Great gift ideas, that you can't find anywhere else. If you are struggling for that perfect find, I'd definitely recommend stopping in Nerdities.
Take your time, and browse through everything, and then head back in a few weeks, because there is new art being created all of the time.
If you are more traditional in your nerdy tastes, then Mythical Mountain is right next door for comics, figurines, and collectables as well.
Unique, local and one of a kind.

Just FYI, the address and hours here on yelp are wrong. The address, as it appears, takes you to a neighborhood, not a shopping center. Google Maps shows the business is 23 minutes away, east.
Also, the hours are wrong. Yelp said they were open and, again in Google Maps, their hours indicated it was closed.
Super big FAIL Yelp!!!!!!!!!
So, I'm having to give this business one star for not making sure their yelp information was correct and making me go 30 minutes out of my way for nothing.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - S P.Birmingham, AL12226679Sep 21, 2015
Compared to most of the people I hang out with, I am an epic nerd, however, compared to many of the people who will get giddy about Nerdities, I am simply a casual geek-culture observer. With that in mind, this is definitely a venue aimed at a particular group, but it certainly shouldn't make others feel shy about visiting. There is fun to be had for all.
I first visited Nerdities at a Yelp Elite event during the gallery opening but have since visited on my own. I don't know if Nerdities is truly a different business than Mythical Mountain Comics but they are connected and appear to be just a different arm of the same business. Nerdities in a nut-shell is an "art gallery" of geek-culture inspired art and decor. When I went the first time I expected it to feel a bit more like an art gallery and less like a pop-culture store but definitely doesn't exactly fit the feel of a traditional art gallery. There are some very cool prints and sculptures to be had and everything is at very reasonable prices but I have to admit that I missed some of the high-end art that I expected. The few artists represented here have some neat stuff but very few items were limited editions or original pieces. If I am going to buy art I tend to prefer something that has a limited run or is an original work. I would have liked to see some well-known artists represented here that do stuff in the nerd world like Greg Guillemin, Olly Moss, Butcher Billy, or Mike Mitchell. There are also a ton of local artists that do some really geeky high-end stuff that could be represented as well.
I do love the fact that once you are done on the artsy side you can just head over to Mythical Mountain and get your fill of comic stuff and toys.
This place is definitely worth a visit.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jerry B.Jacksonville, FL12288Aug 29, 2015
This place is so cool. They sell a lot of cool custom art, sculpture, collectibles from local people. They also do some of the coolest 3d printing art i have seen. The have a couple 3d printers on site printing away every time I have been there.

I've been here a few times and it is great! I buy a lot of comics here and the employee was pretty nice. The only thing that makes me only give it 4 stars is that they are missing a lot of comics in certain series, which makes me go to multiple places to buy all the comics in a series.
