I highly recommend checking out Draq Bingo Tuesdays! My cheeks were seriously in pain from laughing so hard. The MCs really know how to get the crowd going! Fun and chill crowd too.
They had tons of prizes and you didn't even need to pay to play. Doesn't really make sense where the revenue comes from but whateves.
We ordered some food but nothing worth mentioning. People were leaving full plates of food leftover. Hm, not a good sign but I guess people are just there for the Bingo madness.
Sports bar with Stadium Beer prices, 7.00 Peroni,
Drank it with a Cuban sandwich just after 7 wednesday.
Asked for shredded chicken and shredded beef, the menu said order 2 meats but did not say its all in one, hand sized crispy pita style sandwich. Came to the bar with chicken only, bartender did not believe me. HINT: order only one meat at a time.
Happy hr till 8 for cheep beer.
am 85% nellie..
If you've ever stumbled in during drag bingo, you know why I have to give this place 5 stars.
The food blows. It's really bad. Apparently empanadas or something are decent, but I had about the worst wings of my life on one trip, and some other repulsive bar food on another venture.
The drinks? They're fine. I always miss the happy hours when they are great deals.
But come on. A gay sports bar? It doesn't get much better than that.
I once went to dinner with some girlfriends in the same neighborhood, and a few of them got there early and were wandering around before meeting the rest of us at the restaurant. When they got to dinner, they were telling us about walking by this bar where they looked in the window it was almost all guys and ALL the guys were hot. I started laughing hysterically before they had a chance to tell me where they went--I mean, DC is not the sort of town where you stumble upon a bar filled with beautiful heterosexual males. What were they thinking?!
If you have a remotely open mind and a sense of humor, go there.
I love:
Getting out of work early
Roofdecks in the sun
$1 drinks til 6
Cher
Madonna
Friendly people
$2 drinks til 7
Messy nachos
A gay man's perspective on threeways
More Madonna
Taylor Swift
Cute bartender calling my cute boyfriend "babe"
$3 drinks til 8
Being a block from my apartment
Nellie's = glorious
Cool atmosphere, cute guys, friendly attitudes and CHEAP BEER! I went to watch a Saint's game last Sunday with two friends. The bartender was nice enough to put the game on one of the many tv's, we plopped down ordered a bucket of 5 beers(12 bucks!) and had a great afternoon.
Cya next Sunday!
This bar was great: a bit kitsch, a bit sporty, a bit gay. Try the sweet tea lemonade. It's one of those rare mixed drinks that tastes delicious, maintains a slight alcoholic flavor, isn't too sweet, and still packs a punch.
People are friendly, atmosphere is fun!
Prices: reasonable
In my brief weekend visit to DC, one thing I learned is that people are really . . . healthy.* People make the gym a part of their daily routine, and caloric intake MUST BE WATCHED AT ALL TIMES, lest we slip up, and then the gym will turn into a torture chamber of self-punishment.
Joookes. Also, I can't really speak. I don't go to the gym and I eat Girl Scout cookies for breakfast. When I'm dead from a heart attack at 30 and everyone else is living a healthy, happy life, I'll be sorry.
But this brings me to my favorite story of the night: On the roof deck, enjoying the company of my friends and my lover**, there were fleeting moments of food aroma that wafted in from the streets. Indian, pizza, fast food . . . you name it. To me it all smelled good, because I am a fat kid and I love food.
As I was walking inside, I heard one guy lean over to another and say, "The smell of this food is making me . . . "
At which point I was about to interrupt and say, "Me too!" thinking his sentence would finish with, "so hungry!"
What did he really say?
"The smell of this food is making me . . . seriously ill."
Good thing I kept my fat mouth shut.
But seriously. Who can hate a place with a roof deck for drinking? Unfortunately, it was paacked. I could barely move without worrying I'd spill my drink. I had to keep it shielded and as close to my mouth as possible--like a good alcoholic--in case any threatened to spill over. I shall not waste. Especially when the drinks aren't exactly on the cheap side of the scale.
Something tells me this bar means a lot more to the people who live here, especially if you want to watch The Big Game in a public bar. But it was fun, even for an outsider, and I'd come back again.

Okay, I will start out by saying that yes, Nellie's is typical bar food, but I am giving it 4 stars because of the corn dogs. Yes, I'm a sucker for corn dogs. Reminds me of being a kid and going to the New Mexico State Fair. Comfort food and also I have to say kind of tongue in cheek funny that corn dogs are on the menu at this gay sports bar. I'll say no more. Anyway, I went to Nellie's last night after finding that El Sol, which is a few doors down, was closed for the day.
We were ravenous so we ordered the nachos, chicken tenders, buffalo wings, and a bucket of 6 corn dogs. Oh, lest I forget, we also ordered the edamame because of a friend felt that it would somehow offset the gluttonous bar food frenzy that we were about to embark upon.
The nachos were really good. The tortilla chips were thin, but able to hold the weight of the cheese and chili. The cheese that they used appeared to be a pretty decent quality cheddar and the chili itself was just enough, porportionate to the cheese. The jalapenos and sour cream were on the side and were typical, nothing fancy.
The chicken tenders I have had twice now and both times enjoyed. They have a thin breading so are mostly chicken. They come with fries as do the bucket of corndogs. The fries are good. They taste twice fried, but not sure that they are. The buffalo wings were okay. The sauce was good, on the spicy side, but the breading was a bit much for my taste. I also have had the bourbon wings here and I have the same issue with the breadiness.
Finally the corn dogs. The corn dogs had a thick breading to hot dog ratio, which for me is perfect, but I want the corn dog for the breading. It was golden, sweet, crispy goodness. The corn dogs come in buckets of 3, 6 9 (as do the sliders).
Oh and lest I forget our healthy edamame...meh. It's edamame, hard to mess up. Kudos for having healthy food on the menu at a bar, but not really what I'll be ordering next time.
One more note, there are mini-cupcakes on the menu. Didn't try them, but I like the idea. I like it a lot.
You can't beat this place for "Beat The Clock" Happy Hour (HH) The view from the rooftop deck is the best!
ALL bottled beer, Miller Light, and rail vodka:
5p-6p...$1
6p-7p...$2
7p-8p...$3
This isn't just one day a week, this is M-F!!! Any HH that can get me "nice" in a span of about 15 mins., has my vote!!!
This is one of my favorite places to go on summer nights due to the roof deck. The decoration is cute, and the staff is very nice. It's not a fancy place. A big plus for Nellies is that they serve greasy pub grub. I've always wondered why more gay bars in DC don't serve food. You can bring pretty much anyone here have them be comfortable. Don't take the "sports bar" title too seriously. I'm NOT a sports fan, and I was suspicious of the place when it first opened. I was worried it'd be like a straight sports bar with intrusive giant video screens and oceans of rabid fans, rules lawyers, and guys fantasizing about their highschool days. Thank god that's not the case. When I finally made it over there, I found that the sports were there for those who were interested, but really it was just a nice, casual, gay bar with a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.
My only gripe is that the neighborhood is a little difficult to park in so you'll probably have to walk a couple blocks. While the neighborhood is rapidly gentrifying you still probably don't want to go by yourself. Travel in groups in that neighborhood. A few friends of mine have had ugly encounters outside the bar on the way to their homes or cars, so watch yourself.
If you're a frugal Asian, Nellie's is the place for you! Why? Because their heavily poured Ketel One+Tonics will have you drunker than you ever thought you could be off of (1) ONE drink.
And that is awesome.
3 words:
Drag Queen Bingo
Shaquita Lee, I love you. My man and I won 3 out of 6 bingo games last night and won a blender, quesadilla maker and bucket of beer. It's every Tuesday night.
Also, they have a kick-ass happy hour til 8 every night. It is cheaper the earlier you go - like at 5 pm they take of $3 and at 6 they take of $2, etc.
I love Nellie's.
The layout here is absolutely terrible, there's no convenient way to circulate, and thus most people end up crammed on the stifling patio. Is this a sports bar? Really? Because it doesn't feel like one, and the drinks are too expensive for a sports bar.
No thanks.
Some of the employees seem cool, and my girlfriend didn't seem to mind the food and atmosphere-But these dudes CANNOT manage footballs on sunday. They have NFL sunday ticket, so they offer all games. But they never play all the games. They start games late, change the game in the middle, and I've seen them show the same gotdamn game on 4 screens!
They call themselves a sportsbar, but I hope they get they shit together before next season starts.
After my four hour hair appointment I headed here to meet up with some fellow yelpers for Trivia. Having been here once before for a beer before a 9:30 club show, I new there would be eye candy galore--but not the type that was interested in me--alas.
Anyway I had the food special for that night--the grilled cheese and tomato soup combo--a favorite of every 2 year old to 100 year old alike. Both were basic varieties, but fulfilled that "home for lunch" feel that always warms not just the stomach, but the heart.
The trivia was good. Teamed with Becky T, Ashley P., and a Jason H---we got on way to many conversational tangents to really be competitive. The game seemed overall well run, and a good time. I loved the TV songs round.
I can't wait to hit this place up for Drag Bingo on a Tuesday.
3.5
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of Nellie's. It was cozy, but not cramped. I loved the warm lighting, and it looked so homey and welcoming from the outside. The rack of games and toys was a neat touch, especially with little rubber ducky. Wasn't really sure if they were complimentary though.
The trivia was definitely great here, and I think it's probably in my top 3 choices. I loved that they had two games, their prizes were pretty good, and the topics and rounds were diverse and well paced. Felt like we got a lot of trivia in, and it only took up 2 hours. Beat the clock happy hour is a pretty good deal with $1 Miller Lite, house vodka drinks, and Nellie Lights and going up a $1 every hour from 6-8. Their other drinks, however, were outrageously expensive. $12 for a Red Bull and house vodka?? Some of the cocktails were unique sounding, but at a base price of $10 I can't imagine any scenario where I'd order one.
Food was overall pretty decent. I kinda liked that their fries tasted almost like they were from McD's, but then again why would I come to a bar and spend twice the money for something I could get at a fast food restaurant? Some of the items are definitely a bit pricey for what you get. I do like that you can order their appetizers for yourself, or "pals", or "team".
I'll definitely be returning for trivia, but likely would not come here for my sports watching or mixed drink needs.
Alright... So I visited this joint during the inauguration of Obama so my review is gonna be skewed. I say this place is, well... I don't know. The major point they score is having Peroni on tap (BRILLIANT!) but the vibe was austere.
The décor - this strange mix of exposed brick and bits o' Americana with it's gigantic painting of Eleanor Rosevelt - was welcoming but the bartenders were rather boring and disengaged. It's like: 'Dudes, my Angelino fashion is making me stand out like a hipster in Mississippi - gimme a bone and in the least ask me where I hail from.' Alas, I received nothing from the bartenders. Boring like the austere concrete blocks they call 'buildings' in DC.
Saving grace? The Peroni (of course) and a queer mayor's husband who kindly purchased me drinks and sparked conversation. Chubby and chill, this Floridian saved Nellies from becoming a disaster. Between the music (really bad pop remixes) and the lack of a coatcheck (umm, it's 22 outside, peeps, would you like me to leave my coat on the floor?).
So, Peroni and queer mayors' husbands... THIS is why you might wanna check out Nellies. Oh yeah: I have no idea where the 'sports' part comes in -there wasn't a single game on. Strange just like DC itself.
3.5 stars...
We hit the trivia night for the second time recently and scored a table in the main downstairs room, which is where you want to be if you want to feel part of the game - it was quite an improvement over playing at a bar table on the upstairs level.
Nellie's game is rollicking as ever, and just as heavy on the pop culture trivia as it used to be. My bad for not memorizing the lyrics to every Madonna song. But most rounds were fair. Their game is also unique because of the possibility of getting wiped out entirely in a round because of getting one question wrong that was left unprotected by a "safety point."
The second visit went better because this time my teammates were cognizant of the diverse environment there, which I conveniently forgot to tell them about before the first time we showed up to play. Welcome to the big city, guys!
Munchies such as the smooth hummus, meaty quesadillas and loaded mini-hot dogs were good, if slightly overpriced. But watch out for the exorbitant prices on the drinks that you will be charged. Seven dollars for a Peroni? Eight dollars for a Bass or a shot of Jager? Please. You know what they say, Nellie me once, shame on you...well, you know the rest. Since I can't stomach the $3 Miller Lites, I'll just have to get a coke with a water chaser next time to quench my thirst.
And hopefully there will be a next time because the game is good. It just shouldn't be paired with pricing that is an obvious money-grab, as is the case here. C'mon, Nellies, don't wipe us out for the privilege of having a drink here, and we would be happy to become "one of the team."
If you miss the salty wit of the Pour House's Quizzo, Nellie's weekly Smart Ass trivia may hit the spot. The quizmasters here are very amusing, from the gusto with which they call out answers like "Uranus," to the photo round where we had to identify celebrities giving paparazzi the one-finger salute.
I also liked the brisk pace, with the occasional speed round and *two* trivia games per night, so you get two chances to win. Our team got 2d place last week, winning $20 off our bar tab (yay, a $2.85 discount for each of us).
The shredded cheese arepa with beans and avocado wasn't bad. A tad pricy, though, at $12.
Trivia:+1
Horrible food: -1
Strong pours:+1
One sad women's toilet: -1
One of the worst songs in the Bjork canon, "It's Oh So Quiet," played paradoxically loudly: -1
One of the gayest songs in the Chemical Brothers canon, "Out of Control," also played loudly: +1
Hott guys: +1
They're all gay: -1
All in all, a totally decent bar.
Nellie's had me at "gay sports bar" and trivia. That's just too good to pass up. Overall it didn't really disappoint. I loved that there were games to play. Ben tried to bust out some Jenga, but decided the table was too wobbly. Seeing as we were at trivia an hour and a half before it started it's nice that they had stuff to keep us entertained.
The trivia itself was run well. It was quick, there were score updates consistently and it didn't take them too long to score each round. I was a little annoyed that I didn't get the Green Eggs and Ham reference though because it was so obvious once he said it! The food that other people got looked good, but I didn't partake so I can't completely judge it. The drink prices were pretty good. Nellie's draft was only $2 before 7 and then only $3 after that. Not the best beer in the world, but for the price I can't complain.
The biggest problems with Nellie's were the music and the bathroom. I realize it's a gay sports bar so there probably is a bigger crowd of men, but there is one bathroom, only one person at a time, for women. Although it is clean so I've got to give them credit for that! The other annoying thing was the music in between rounds was a bit too loud. It made talking difficult and now I'll have "Oh What A Night" stuck in my head for yet another day...
I came here for trivia last week. As a straight guy who is completely accepting of alternative lifestyles, I wasn't at all apprehensive about the fact that it's a gay bar. Who cares? But even if you were a little apprehensive, you have nothing to worry about. It's just a cool bar, gay or straight.
The trivia was well-run. They have two games, at 8 and 9. They were quick, which is an often over-looked quality in trivia. Also, they had enough wrinkles in the game (a picture round, safety questions, a "wipe-out" round) to make it interesting. And the questions were a good balance between "my 12 year old sister could answer this" easy and "call Stephen Hawking to get the answer" difficult. So the trivia was a lot of fun. Plus they have prizes that have real monetary value. The seven of us placed third in one game and got a $10 off coupon (yay, everybody gets $1.42 off their bill!!).
I thought the service was good. Our waitress was apparently a trainee because another guy who looked like a manager constantly asked us if we were okay and even asked us if she was doing a good job. I thought she did fine, so keep her on the job.
For food I got the chicken Caesar wrap. Totally boring right? Not at Nellie's. I treasure the little things in life: reaching an intersection just as the light turns green, fresh powder on a ski slope, StoryCorps, etc. So I was very pleased to see that they included croutons in the chicken Caesar wrap. It totally revolutionized the wrap. Bravo, Nellie's, bravo...
I have only two complaints. First, it's expensive. $7 for a pint of Allagash White? I shouldn't be penalized THAT much for wanting to avoid bad beer. Second, is it necessary to play the music between trivia rounds so loud that we can't hear each other? My old man ears desire peace and quiet and pleasant conversation.
But all in all I had a great time. I'll be back for trivia.
Nellie's is still hot in my book. I was back for trivia six months later and not much has changed. I should clarify my previous HH bragging: They have Beat the Clock drink specials. House vodka drinks, Nellie's drafts and Miller Light bottles are $1 from 5-6, $2 from 6-7 and $3 from 7-8.
I agree with Craig R.'s rating system, but maybe a 7.5 for food, depending on what you get. I had Maria's cheese empanadas (3 for $10) and they were hot and fresh out of the fryer. I liked them even though they were probably really bad for me.
Check out their cool website. They do lots of events and sponsor great charities. You can even take a quiz to find out "How Nellie Are You?". I am 94% Nellie and I'm not even a hot gay male! I signed up for their newsletters and I recently received a birthday postcard for $10 off my drink order. Yay Me!! Yay Nellie's!!

Great view from the rooftop and convenient to other bars on U Street.
Who can say no to a Gay Sports Bar? And one with a roof deck too!? Definitely not me!
I love Nellie's. Then again, I moved to DC from Rehoboth DE... so it feels a bit like home to me (so maybe I'm a little biased).
I never had a chance to re-update ... but I wanted to let you all know that I can officially give Nellie's 5-stars like I wanted to. After I posted my review, the manager/owner contacted me and apologized for the experience - something which I absolutely never expected and totally appreciated it. A place that takes care of its customers is definitely high in my book.
If I see that bartender - I just avoid him, not wanting to risk the bad service. And Nellie's is better than ever - I can't wait for the warm weather to be back.
You should be aware - the place gets packed on both Friday and Saturday - which can be a ton of fun, but I know some people don't really like that.
Enjoy!

Went to Nellie's on a Friday night. I had a good time. Bumped into some old friends. It just seems like that sort of place where you would. It's not too crowded but jesus christ the lines for the bathroom were long. And there is no girls bathroom vs boys bathroom. Everyone shares. Which kind of sucks waiting in line with a bunch of divas. Honestly I don't know what it was about the guys there that night but they weren't nice. They seemed pretty annoyed that there was a girl there. Plus the bartender pretty much always served me last. Cest Le Vie.
Guess its not always easy being a straight girl in a gay world.
pleasant bar good for a beer before a show at the 9.30 club....
on the plus side it has a decent beer selection, a fantastic disco ball and lots of cool shit on the walls....( and nice restrooms !)
the service we got wasn't stellar, they screwed up our order, the burgers, when they came, were average, the grilled cheese sandwich was the worst grilled cheese sandwich in the history of the world, but the empanadas and pita w/ hummous were pretty bloody good.
I couldn't figure out what exactly was gay about this place until I spotted the Howard University women's "don't look at us or we will kick you fXXXin head in " sports team.
After the Katy Perry show at the 930 club, my sister and I came here for some more drinks and a snack. It was so big and airy, I love the atmosphere. Everyone was friendly and best of all it was CLEAN! It wasn't too noisy or crowded either, which makes for such a more enjoyable evening. The DJ was awesome too! Great music, songs you can sing and dance to instead of the same boring "dance" demo over and over. I can't wait to come back when the weather is warm because they have an open bar and dance floor on the roof! I really want to come back for drag queen bingo too! Love this place!
Now, it may be just that it is close enough to my house that someone can spit from one to the other, but I love Nellies. Everytime I've been I have a really good time. Whether its watching primary election coverage or a ballgame while listening to Madonna or enjoying a refreshing Crown on the rocks and a nice breeze upstairs on the patio, you can't go wrong. Good drinks, the staff is friendly (just make sure you have a valid ID, lol) and good people. All of the food I've sampled is pretty decent to, not gourmet, but a step up from the typical bar food for sure.
I do have to mention though, this place isn't for everyone, if you don't want to get cruised or hit on by a gay guy its probably not the place for you.
The bathrooms are pretty cool... they have old sinks from an old stadium in DC.
I ALWAYS have a good time at Nellie's. Whether it's just to sit around and watch the Olympics, chat with friends on the patio, or meet new people. The only - ONLY - problem I have is that they have that damn line to get upstairs on the busy weekends. I understand fire hazard and all that, but I guess that's just another sign that it's a great place to visit!
My recommendation - just get there early on Fri/Sat, enjoy some of their above average (read: not great by any stretch, but definitely great with a few beers) food and head upstairs to make some space for your crew.
As a side note for the straights - Nellie's is also one of the if not THE most friendly places to go regardless of who you are - which I find quite admirable. Isn't the goal for us all to get along anyway?
Watching Michael Phelps break Spitz's record is fun. But watching it in a gay sports bar packed with 'mos made is hilarious and amazing!
Nellies has grown on me the past year into one of my top places to go. Good bar food, good drinks, and a great roof deck. (Is the foozball table still there?)
The place has a nice cross section of the community and is always packed. I am interested to see how it is in the winter!
I like this place because it serves two purposes:
1) it's a fun place to watch sports over a few drinks with friends
2) it's a great place to drink lots and meet gay boys
Drinks are good, service has always been friendly, and I like the variety of spaces it offers. I also like how convenient the location is for us yellow/green liners!
Just don't go after 11:00pm on a weekend night and this place can pass as an OK gay-orientated sports bar.
Very nice atmosphere, cool bartenders and staff, and clientele actually get into sports on occasion...on the weekends, it turns into a typical gay bar, and the upstairs deck is pretty much packed like caddle on slaughtering day. Once you steak out (no pun intended) your location, that's it, you ain't movin again all night. You have to send out one brave soul from your group to navigate the crowd to either the ONE outside bar, or send them inside which is about the size of a large bathroom (upstairs). Don't go downstairs...because they ain't letting you back up due to the fact their capacity often gets reached very early on, yeah for real.
So, outside of the weekends, great place. On the weekends, just go to a gay bar or club, least there you will have all the same hassles as Nellie's, but also have the chance of hooking up with someone who should actually be wearing a small A&F t-shirt.
Last night I came here for trivia with some other Yelpers after almost not going for various reasons, one of which admittedly being that it's a gay bar. Upon running into Cadence R. in the Metro (as I was transferring to go home and she was transferring to go to Nellie's), I was convinced to come along. After dinner at my namesake, we headed over, and sat down and had some beers. I had the Nellie draft which was a mixture of something that came out almost completely transparent with some yellow coloring. It reminded me why I don't get light beers draft. Still, I couldn't complain since they were cheap, and I probably would have been drinking the equally cheap Miller Lite bottles if I hadn't been drinking those. I didn't order any food, but what other people ordered looked tasty. And they have arepas, which looked awesome.
The games were quick, with two played in two or so hours. We came in third in the first and didn't place in the second, due to the final "wipeout" round. Damn you Teddy Roosevelt and naming natural structures as national monuments. You're still my favorite President, though. The prizes were good: third place got us a $10 coupon, and it only went up from there. It was a good time, and the trivia ranged from easy to hard (mostly in that order), and they even had the United game on, although it was directly over my head making it hard to see.
I attended the Drag Bingo last night and had a fabulous time, in which I was entertained by two queens who both sang a song before the BINGO event began.
Their performance was hilarious and they kept asking this certain man was he straight or in-between, they had folks stripping for beer/entertainment during intermission.
I never had so much fun - especially at the Drag Queen Bingo - what a spin on the old fashion game.
They gave away some pretty cools gifts and I won a Crock-Pot (yeah)! The boards were free, so I just sipped my wine and ate my Nellie's house salad while playing B-I-N-G-O. I advise everyone to at least attend this event which is every Tuesday night at 8pm.
went here on a Saturday mid-day... the place was fairly quiet.
our bartender was pretty lousy. he was obviously sick and shouldn't have been working... he kept coughing the whole time he was behind the bar..
i ordered a drink off of their drink menu... The Alabama slammer or something. I should've just ordered something more common I guess, since apparently memorizing their 10 drink long menu is too much to ask if you're a bartender here. He didn't even know what it was and had to look on their own menu to see what was in it. the SO ordered a long island--which damnit is my drink not his--and it was the worst thing i've ever tasted. he couldn't even finish it. (it tasted like it was 1/2 roses lime juice, more sweet stuff in it than anything liquor).
$20 later for two drinks, another guy came and sat next to us... the other bartender took care of him and the bartender started spouting off all of the specials they had at the time... $3 you call its... yada yada. who knew they had happy hour specials? not us... we had the lousy bartender with the blank stare. not only did we get lousy drinks, we overpaid by about $15.
I'm sure cute and stupid works for you as a bartender on a busy Friday night, but on a Saturday at 4pm when the place was dead...not so much.
i walked in this place DRUNK as HELL. When i walked in, i felt like i was at home. Friednly people and felt like ive been to this place before. I loved it. I had to try again. If you never been to DC, this place is THE PLACE TO be. FUN and kewl
I decided to end my first snow day of the year with a trip to Nellies. I had heard Cadence talk about it and how much she loved the trivia, so i was excited to finally check it out!
We got there early (like 630)and the place was fairly dead. However, by 7 it was hopping! Definitely get there early for trivia nights. The specials are good ($2 beers until 7, $3 until 8) and so it would be a great place to grab a drink. The food menu was neat, and very big! Lots of fried goodness. I think they pretty much had any bar food you could potentially want. I really wanted the grilled cheese and tomoto soup, but opted for the combo wrap, which was grilled chicken, beef and all kinds of yummy stuff. Plus had tzaki sauce and hummus on the sides. I opted for the sweet potato fries because if i'm going to indulge, might as well get something i love. They were all right... no Argonaut! The regular fries tasted like they came from McDonalds and the nachos were very heavily chillied and not much else. Prices were reasonable for the city, although i dont agree with spending $2 extra to get the sweet potato fries! They werent that good!
Trivia was fun and was definitely one of the best run i've seen. It moved fast and the questions were fun. I am slightly disapointed that we didn't come in a higher place... stupid Kings with their numbers! But i liked the two games, so it gave you a chance to redeem yourself if you fail at the first.
Definitely worth coming back!
