Nekter Juice Bar

Had my first acai bowl today, and now I'm officially converting to a Vegan hipster.

But seriously, try their Bruin Bowl - simple and delicious. Blueberries, strawberries, granola, coconut, agave... If I had money I would eat this every day.

Also, Tracey is awesome, thank you for making my first acai experience such a good one! I will be back!

I love all juice bars and as a chain, this place does drinks/bowls pretty well. I've tried quite a few items from this place and I have to say in general, they're all pretty good. The only reason why I docked a star is because their items can be quite pricey, although I guess this is a juice bar in LA so the prices are jacked up. Since I'm paying so much for their items, I like to go for the items that are a little bit more special / hard to make by myself. The location itself is very small with very limited outdoor seating.

Basic acai bowl but it's still done really well. Blueberries, banana, strawberries, and granola on top of acai.

2. Pitaya Bowl

Dragonfruit bowl that has banana, granola, and coconut. The coconut adds a nice texture to the bowl and this is my second favorite item to get here!

3. Berry Banana Burst

This is a good drink to get but for the price point, I really don't feel like it's worth getting. It's a pretty basic smoothie that tastes fine but if you're paying that much, you might as well go for something that's more unique.

Dragonfruit, strawberry, and pineapple mixed together to make a drink that is not too sweet and not too tart either. My favorite item to get here!

I don't really go here for açaí but I'm here to say that the new vegan ice cream they have is oddly pretty good! I got the Cookie Monster one which is bright blue with cookie dough chunks and the portion was a huge scoop for around $4. It has a halo top vibe and tastes like protein powder but if you don't mind, it's a healthy alternative when you're not feeling like Diddy Reese.

The staff was friendly and patient as my friends and I stood there looking at the menu for some time, trying to soak everything in. The place is clean and brings about a bright atmosphere!
We all ordered a Bruin Bowl and the presentation was great! It's almosttt about $10 for an acai bowl (rounding up). It did not disappoint! All the fruits were fresh. I would definitely come back to try the other acai bowls!

Parking is kind of terrible in Westwood. If you're in the area before 6PM, park on Broxton for free for 2 hours. There's also a lot across from Nekter, but it's not free!

Came in to grab a smoothie and to pass time today and I wasn't disappointed.

The service was VERY nice and very helpful. I ordered the Pink Flamingo (I love pitaya!) and also got a free ginger shot for checking in! I was actually surprised the ginger shot was made fresh!

Both the smoothie and the shot were very good -- the smoothie was just the right amount of sweet, and the ginger shot was actually tasty which I can't always say about ginger shots

Will definitely be back!

BEWARE: They say the store is open until 7:30pm but the staff starts cleaning up at 7pm so they can go home at 7:30pm.
I like their juices but their business conduct is just below par. And anytime I ask why their business hours never reflect real customer service hours, the staff will come up with an excuse why they had to close early.
So upsetting because they do have a good product.

I love their bowls but their berry banana blast smoothie is only a so-so.
Their bowls are delicious, very nutritious and protein filled. I recommend their Acai Superfood! It's a yummy party in my tummy! Another thing hat I super love is their Superfood Protein , a bottle of Happiness and Pure Satisfaction. Good thing that it is very close to me and is part of the ucla village.

This place is so inconsistent. Some days my Acai bowl will be perfect, with generous amounts of fruit and a great thick acai blend consistency.

Other days, I'll get smoothies with huge chunks of unblended frozen fruit at the bottom. One visit that stood out to me in particular was when I ordered an acai bowl and was handed one out of the freezer. It had clearly been made a while ago, because the granola was soggy, the acai blend consistency was icy, and the fruits were hard.

I'm always scouting for new acai bowl places and this place is definitely part of my list now! I got the Bruin Bowl which has strawberry, blueberry, banana, housemade vanilla cashew milk, hempseed granola, and agave nectar. Out of all the acai bowls I've tasted, this one has more of a nutty and creamy taste. I didn't know how to feel about it at first because I'm used to the sweet and light acai bowls. But the combination of nuttiness from the cashew milk and the sweetness of the fruits was perfect. It was refreshing, filling and delicious. It has more of an ice cream than a smoothie consistency.

There's indoor seating but I would recommend sitting outside since their juicers can get really loud inside.

I'm excited to come back and try out their other bowls!

One of the most inconsistent and overpriced acai places I've ever been to. The acai itself was brown and plain, the bananas were plain, the pineapples were sour, and the strawberries were plain. Also, that wasn't even what I ordered. The coconut shreds and granola were super hard to chew.

They get one star for having gluten free granola (I have Celiac) and for the cashier who said my signature was pretty.
