Wish we'd investigated the clams and the info more before making an appointment for our son, who's been plagued by food and animal allergies. If your ideas of health diagnosis and treatment are rooted in boardwalk games of chance and fortune-teller's dimly-lit back rooms, this is a place you'll love! They do "muscle-testing," which is about as accurate as predicting what the weather will be two months from now on Thursday. Their brand of "nutrition" is not founded on science and evidence, but on a weird combination of magician's stunts and fad of the month club marketing. Again, my fault for not checking this out first, but relying on some informal discussion. Sounds harsh, but we were burned by this experience.
Sarah is nice, the office clean, but she seems to not understand the (rather common) medical conditions we were dealing with. We since found the whole premise behind this "testing" is more based on selling supplements than on actual effective treatment. We actually got better advice (and could have saved some cash if we'd gone there first) at a nearby natural health food store. If one is concerned with proper diagnosis and treatment, go to a licensed medical practitioner. If your condition will respond to nutritional analysis and change, go to a real nutritionist or registered dietician. There's just too much out there that works, and is clinically proven to work, than to waste one's money, time, and possibly overall health at the hands of these scam artists.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

To anyone reading this particular review, we have no record of this person ever being at our practice. In fact, we do not see minors without a parent as a patient first so it's not possible that we ever saw the son in this case. This reviewer has over 90 reviews, half of which are 1 star and scathing to many local businesses, and even resorts to name calling and defamation. He even reviewed a breast thermography practice where he describes a personal experience...but he is a male. They do not have a record of him either. We have taken it upon ourselves to call many of the businesses he has reviewed and they don't have records of him being there either. He uses a template where he describes the atmosphere and then personalizes it by using a name which is easily found in the business' description. Please take the time to read the 30 plus reviews not currently recommended at the bottom of our page because these are actual patients describing actual experiences. We also welcome you to come to our practice and make up your own mind about who we are and what we do since we have had over 57,000 patient visits over the last 5 years between both our locations. It is ok if you don't like your experience at a business, but we are all human and this is our livelihood. The kind thing to do is to reach out to a business first and work out your issues with them rather than blast them on social media trying to ruin their reputation.

Sarah has so much to teach and I have so much to learn. I went to NHIC with out of control allergies and rashes breaking out nightly. Sarah treated me and gave me a regimen that fully solved these issues. I no longer get rashes and my allergies are fully controlled with her recommended course of treatment. I even have supplements that stop my allergy attacks in their tracks when I get into a situation where I am reacting to something.
NHIC has helped my family and many others I know. What they teach there has completely changed my understanding of health and nutrition.
Now, if I can only commit to the other changes she has recommended I know my weight and health would improve substantially from here. #disobedientpatient #NHIChastheanswersHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jenna H.Runnemede, NJ0362Apr 2, 2019
I made an appointment based on a recommendation, and despite it being very, very alternative and new agey, committed to giving the program a shot. Then I got home and looked at the supplements.
Here's the thing - the entire program is based on supplements, which you must buy through them (that should, in retrospect, have been a red flag). I've had good luck with some supplements in the past, though, so I wasn't bothered by this aspect until I read the labels.
They gave me 3 different supplements. Two were labeled gluten free. The other was not, which is to be expected when wheat germ is an ingredient. I had specifically included in my paperwork that gluten is a migraine trigger for me and I therefore avoid it at all costs. Further inspection revealed that, though they instructed me to avoid oats, another supplement contained oats.
I promptly called to discuss this, and the reaction was very much "never you mind, just do what we say." This did not make me feel better, and I flatly refused to take the supplement with wheat. Having thought the matter over, I decided I wasn't convinced by their argument that I ought not eat oats in general, but the oats in the supplement were somehow okay. So I didn't take a thing, and the next day called to request a refund for my package.
This got me a call from Sarah, the owner, who went on a sales pitch about the people she's helped (good for them) and how people with Celiac take this supplement with wheat germ and are fine (I very much doubt it). The whole conversation only made me firmer in my decision not to trust my health to these people. Instead of listening to my reasonable concerns, she tried to dismiss them out of hand.
They did refund me for the unopened supplements, and for the appointment packages minus whatever percentage Square took out, so that at least was fine.
I can't recommend them to anyone, since their supplements somehow transcend all known food sensitivities, in their own mind. Which is probably influenced by that being how they make money.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

We were sorry to hear that you didn't like your experience with us and that you felt dismissed, especially since you were a referral from my pastor's wife and I took the time to speak with you about your concerns on the phone. Usually referrals from them are very nice and openminded. When I spoke to you on the phone, your mind was already made up. Nothing I said was going to change your mind, even when I explained the science behind our methods. If what we do isn't a good fit, no harm no foul. There isn't really a need to try to publicly shame a company for simply explaining who we are and what we do. We were totally fine with refunding you and then noticed that months later you decided to leave a negative review. We hope this doesn't influence others needing nutritional help from coming to us because we have helped thousands over the last 5 years, including my pastor, and will continue to do so.
