One of the best breakfast spots in the Valley. Delicious food, great service and best of all the coffee is good.

I highly recommend you go here for breakfast. And you definitely can't go wrong ordering anything you feel like off the menu.

    Nat's is a 3.5 star place.

Expectations were high I had heard of the place and I love breakfast (inherited this from my dad).

When I got there, I was disappointed to feel that the floors were sticky and the place felt a bit run-down. The servers were efficient and no nonsense...they did check up on me but you feel they're pressed for time (which they are because it is busy!)!

The food was super quick to come out to the table. So this is a plus if you are also pressed for time!

I got the Eggs bendict which came with a buttered english muffin, spongy flufffy ham (if that makes any sense. The meat wasn't like a ham steak but rather a more soft textured canned ham). The eggs....perfectly poached.

I didn't care for the home fries and the coffee was gross...i only had a few sips and left the cup full on the table.

All in all, the food was OK (although I think the perfectly poached eggs alone warrants more stars).  However, now that this is checked off my list, I probably won't be returning.

But Nat's was PACKED so it is a popular place amongst the local people.

I've been going to Nat's for a while. Usually we bring the kids here on one of my rare weekend days off. This place is a great family-friendly breakfast joint. Which is key, since my son has enough energy to power a small country and can get a little impatient waiting for his bacon and eggs.

The only negative I can really say about this place is that the parking sucks bigtime. I probably have only landed a spot in their lot once or twice, and usually have to park on Hazeltine. This would be OK, but I do live in LA and Hazeltine is a busy street. Thus, every life-or-death trip from the car to the restaurant feels like a run through the gauntlet. That said, we usually come relatively early (9ish) so the waits haven't been too bad.

Like any good diner, the menu is extensive and includes a couple great Latin breakfast dishes. My personal favorite is the Guadalajara skillet. Sure, the chest pain and left arm numbness can be a little inconvenient, but this has improved significantly after restarting my Zocor. Their homemade green salsa is the beesknees. I also dig the homemade jams. I also recommend the CBH (corned beef hash). The heartburn is worth it. Don't plan on being super productive after that breaksfast though, you're likely going to be a useless sack of meat for at least a few hours afterwards. But hey, that's what makes Saturday mornings great.

This is another great diner in the area, I've been here a few times.   Best thing is their homemade apricot Jam, which goes great with toast.  I had the Greek omelet with added chicken to up the protein.   Coffee is also great here, they don't have espresso so you may not like that.

Only bad thing I found was the parking, It is in a small tight shopping center so the probability to finding parking in front of the restaurant might be pretty slim.  I suggest you park on Hazeltine ave and just walk,  Not too far of a walk.   I brought over my nephews and they also loved it.  I told them to prepare for best homemade apricot jelly they would ever taste and yes they loved it.  They also have homemade Belgian waffles also and pancakes.

Great spot over all, I will for sure add it to my favorites.

I am not an omelet fan at all but theirs is awesome.  Something about this place.  It is a little pricey and always busy but,  the food is great.  Their muffins are off the hook.  If you go on a weekend there is a cool retro toy store next door you can browse.  They will even page you there.   Definitely worth going for breakfast.  Parking is a little tough though so have a little patience.

Absolute best diner around. Ive been to diners all across the country and luckily, this one is in my neighborhood. Not only is it very reasonable, but the food is amazing!  First, they start with all high quality ingredients.  The eggs are the best quality Ive ever had served. They have all the classics plus their own breakfast specials daily. Generous portions. Super friendly staff.
    Seriously, best diner ever!!

If this review was based on the meal I had here, I probably would have only given it two stars, but I'm giving it three because I want to like it and have heard good things about this place.  What I like off the bat, is that it's cheap and not too far away from my house.  Second, is that even though there was a wait, the toy shop next door was a great way to kill time and get nostalgic over childhood action heroes and heroines.  Fun stuff.

My brother and I both got the the same meal.  It was a special- a skillet with eggs, potatoes, soy chorizo, onions and peppers- all awesome ingredients.  The seasoning was way too overpowering and made the dish unappetizing.  Both of us had the same opinion.  We tried the strawberry shake which was pretty good and tasted fresh along with OJ.

    Muffin sized cinnamon rolls!!!
Quick service - servers seemed a little overworked and overloaded but were great. Even giving me my soda to-go (major kudos).
Looks kind of scary on the outside - but do not fear - travel behind the dirty dark tinted doors and treasures await.  I ordered an omelet with hashbrowns and, yup, a muffin sized cinnamon roll. I wish it was closer to me so that I could go all the time - I just happened to be in the area for work that day. I noticed they had a lot of specials on the board and I hope to go back to try some other things out.
If you live in the area - this place is not to be missed!

Nat's Early Bite Coffee Shop has the best breakfast joint ever! Nuff said...don't go because it will only make it more crowded :).  The entire staff always goes out of their way to make sure everything is perfect.   I know it is just breakfast, but the great quality and friently staff makes a difference.   They aren't open for dinner, but I bet they'd be a hit if they did!

We really enjoy this place.  Its a great diner for breakfast or lunch.  I love the hashbrowns & bacon.  They also have sweet potato fries at lunch which is great.  Its typical diner fare but REALLY GOOD.  The people who work there are efficient but could be a bit friendlier or more helpful.   The parking lot is typically packed and street parking can be a little tough.  If you go on the weekend, it could be a long wait.  Weekdays are fabulous here though!  Yummy!!!

I was in the area and stumbled onto this small diner. And I love small diners, they just have that cozy feeling, no matter what.  In saying that, I wasn't disappointed at all.

They have a variety of breakfast, lunch & dinner, us being there for Breakfast.  The service was A+    Food was pretty good & tasty, coffee too.  Only thing would be that even though the menu clearly stated that the dishes we picked didn't come with your choice of hash browns or toast, it would have been nice for the price we paid (We chose French Toast & the Lumberjack special, normally at Denny's you get that for about the same).

It is apparently popular w/the locals as well as people like us who just happen to be near by.  it was worth the stop (because we were hungry & I wanted the small diner food/experience). And yes there are lines.

I am a regular here for sure. There homemade muffins and different kinds of sausages make me try something different. Might be a wait here but just grab some incense from next door to pass time. I usually get a omelette and a half of a waffle. They also have a fitness menu if you are on a diet.

Ever feel like you are the last one to find out about a great place to eat? That's me today.

Nat's is in a very small strip center in Van Nuys on Burbank. My excursion was more of an accident than intentional and I walked in 30 minutes from closing time. There was no wait (which I have been informed to not expect again) but it was fairly full for being so close to closing time.

What happened next felt life changing. As a joke, I asked if they had grits. It's always a joke to ask if a restaurant has grits in Los Angeles. No strange looks this time, just a "we sure do." Stunned, I proceeded to order the best breakfast I've had on the West Coast.

Louisiana hot sausage, home made jellies and jams, and plates full of, well, home. I'm all about blooming where I'm planted, but there is nothing wrong with being delighted at getting the kind of food that I used to have growing up in Louisiana and Texas.

They had me at grits, but it just kept getting better. It has a great "greasy spoon diner" feel except all the patrons were right out of TV.

Very excited about this place, just not looking forward to going earlier and having to wait. But, it will be worth it.

My husband and I love this place.  We love small diners so this has become a regular spot for us.  There's also a great toy shop next door that has tons of collectors' toys you'd have trouble finding elsewhere.

The food is usually fast.  We love the breakfast burrito and you can ask them to alter it to your liking as well.  They have a good selection of sausages and we normally order the spicy ones.  We also like the french dip.

The service really depends on who you get to wait on you but it has never been poor.  They are also usually packed so parking is a little rough.

Nats is your friendly neighborhood greasy spoon. Its the kinda place old men come with their news papers while the waitress "Marge" serves them coffee  and a slice of pie before they head back to the truck stop. Its always busy, but somehow they always get you seated before your quoted wait time is up. Ive eaten here before and its been just ok.  Decent american fare for a decent price. But not today. My friend and I had breakfast here today and it was horrible. It really was.

All of it came out soooo gross. Everything was old, stale, or just plain yuk. She ordered a decaf coffee that came to the table sour. YES, I personally tasted it. Wtf makes coffee sour, I have NO IDEA, but she sent it back. She also ordered water that came with a lovely piece of crusted egg stuck to the side of the glass. YUK.

Both of our orange juices were orange drink. You know what orange drink is, so dont even front on me. For food I had the french toast that was made with VERY STALE bread. So stale in fact, I had trouble cutting it with my fork. My side of grits had pulled away from the bowl in a straight line which means that they had been sitting there for quite a while before they made it to the table. Eggs, oily and smashed. Just NOT GOOD. We've decided to never return. Its not worth it,  especially when Jinkys cafe ( which is ALWAYS an A+ is only 3 mins up the street)

Decent place for a weekend breakfast.
Their home fries are pretty good, need more of a crunch in my opinion.
It looks like a classic diner from the 80s, whos had such good business throughout the years, they didnt need to redo the place.

Service needs to be a bit more attentive in my opinion - but overall the waiters are friendly.
Theres a more than awesome retro toy store right next door that you must check out.

    Decor:
A very classic diner vibe going on. There's usually a wait, but you can kill time by checking out the store next door.

    Food:
    1) Salmon Benedict was delicious! The eggs were poached perfectly and the salmon wasn't too salty.  The portion of salmon was smaller than those of other breakfast restaurants, but it was a couple dollars cheaper.
    2) Hash browns were amazing! Crispy, but not burnt and didn't have that heavy potato feeling you get from large greasy chunks of potatoes.

    Service:
Considering how busy it was, the service was pretty good. They checked on us and gave us refills frequently.

    Parking:
Terrible. A small lot that'll fit around 10 cars for all the shops. There isn't much street parking. You'll have to park near the apartments on Hazeltine.

I don't get what all they hype for this place is about. Service wasn't bad but overall the food quality was not great at all. I got a turkey melt thing and it literally looked straight out of your Sunday night Stouffers last option dinner meal. It was just really unappetizing. My friends french dip sandwich, which I ended up eating more than I did my plate, was MEDIOCRE at best. Price was OKAY. But I'm not going back again.

My all time favorite breakfast joint. Food is always fast, hot, delicious. Coffee is great. Staff extremely helpful and work as a near-perfect team, I've never had to wait to get their attention for another fork or more coffee or a to go bag. Muffins are outstanding, Honey Bran is a favorite. Order off the "breakfast specials" menu for the best items, like the Home Sausage or California Benedict, or any of the scrambles. Strawberry rhubarb pie among the best I've ever tasted.  Place is always crowded but surprisingly fast service, and the customers all seem to have good manners and don't make others wait unnecessarily.

Came here with a group of friends for Sunday brunch and man, were we surprised to find this kind of diner in Sherman Oaks! We had to wait for about 10-15 mins to get our seats but we trekked over to the retro toy store next door (thanks to you yelpers) and that made the wait go by really fast. Plus, you don't have to worry about Nat's calling your name; they built a intercom in the toy store that'll call your name if your seats are available. After grabbing the complimentary popcorn from the toy store, we  were called and got our seats.

One thing to mention here is the impeccable service for a low key diner! The diner itself seems like one of those 70-80's diner but with more of a rugged, beatdown look. We all knew this place was popular for its breakfast so we all ordered a breakfast dish. One friend ordered the eggs benedict, another ordered french toast, the GF ordered a breakfast burrito and I ordered a chicken fried steak. We all also ordered a side of hash browns/home fries since most of the yelpers recommended it! The food were all great and considering the price, the portions were enormous as well.

We all enjoyed our food and it filled us up and we're more than likely to return to try the other breakfast items! Thanks Nat's for the great breakfast!

Best Dinner in LA. My wife demands that we go to breakfast at Nat's at least once a week.   We order the exact same thing every week like clockwork....

The Mexican Scramble with Soy Chorizo & Egg Whites, a Honey Nut Bran Muffin (instead of the tortillas) and a side of refried beans.

I'm anything but a vegetarian, and I love chorizo, but the SOY chorizo is a God Send, it has all the flavor without the grease... and consequences.

The staff is amazing, every time we come in we feel like we are stepping into a family.  Victor the owner runs a great business and happily donated fresh baked pastries to my wife's charity event last December.  Read his story when you come in sometime, it's in a newspaper article framed in the front of the store.  Very inspiring!

We just may be going to Nats for the rest of our lives... So maybe you shouldn't.  Lord knows it's crowded enough already.

I like the Large Scrambles, but keep an eye on the specials board, some of the best stuff is not on the menu. Get the hash browns, much better then the home fries.
The staff is friendly, if a bit harried due to the place always being busy.  Get here early or be prepared for a wait.

I am lucky I have the luxury of living within walking distance, but I reckon I would drive here if I craved that perfect American breakfast....Prices are low and service is great. Parking can be rough on weekends but I suggest looking on Burbank Blvd. or residential streets for a spot.

Try the Chorizo (scramble or breakfast burrito), French Toast or homemade muffins and biscuits.

I went for breakfast with the fiance a while back and just got the opportunity to write a review.

The food is very decently priced and well portioned. We kept it simple with eggs, sausage and pancakes. Pancakes are fluffy and filling. They were good, but I wasn't 'wow-ed' by it. Can't really screw up eggs and sausage too much.

The food comes out quick. The wait staff were friendly. The parking lot is small.

The place is a little old and run-down, but it seems like a place the locals like since it was pretty crowded when we were there, luckily it didn't take long to be seated.

    Overall, I was pleasantly surprised.

What happened to their homemade sausages?

    Great egg griddles.

I found this restaurant on the handy-dandy Yelp application for the iPhone.   When I got here on a Sunday at 11:00 and saw about 15-20 people standing in line, I thought I was in a 1 hour wait!    The hostess said that the wait was 30 minutes - which it was!  This place is POPULAR but then get the people in and out the door quickly!

Nat's Early Bite is located in a small strip mall on Burbank Blvd, about 4 blocks from Van Nuys Blvd.  Parking is a little tight here, but there is plenty of street parking!

You walk into the diner and there is two sections - one looks like the main section and there is a second section that looks like it is an add-on.  There are about 30-35 tables / booths at this place.  The atmosphere is friendly and fun!

We were greeted by a cute "seasoned" Asian Lady who was our waitress.   She was super friendly and hospitable (like the other servers were).  I didn't understand what one of the specials of the day was, so I asked her (still I can't remember it's name).  She said, "hold on...".  She turned her order-taking slip over and read us the description of the dish.  She finished her description by saying, "I'm Thai... I'm not familiar with some of these yummy dishes...".   LAUGHING!   I then proceeded to order the "Pad Kee Mao" (which doesn't exist on the menu, but I thought I'd play off of her "I'm Thai" Comment).   We had a good laugh.  Her humor was like every one of the staff at this restaurant - fun and giggly.   Makes for a great meal!

I ordered the chorizo and eggs, with the side of beans and flour tortillas.  I also got the side of avacado which totally made the dish!  It's a dish of scrambled eggs with a heavy portion of chorizo meat, scrambled together with rigor.   This dish is served with a home-made green chili that was oustanding!   They also had a bottle of Tobasco brand hot chili sauce that I've never seen before - it was delish!

The best part of the meal was that the flour tortillas were FRESHLY MADE!!!    What?!  It came wrapped in foil and STEAMING HOT!  I didn't realize it was fresly made until I ordered an additional side of the tortillas and it took 5-7 minutes to come.   It was perhaps one of the best tortillas I've had in Los Angeles (yes, better than Paco's Tacos).

Service was EXCELLENT!   My new Thai Lady friend-waitress must have come by the table about 10+ times to refill the coffee and water. At one point, she joked with us and said, "I'm here to refill you coffee many times because the orders have slowed down and I want to work hard and be busy!  I love my job!".   LAUGH!   Mama earned herself a great tip with the great attitude!

This is a MUST SEE establishment in Los Angeles!  I'll be back!
