You need a federal ID to get on the campus, but once there, this is $5 (shoes and 1 game of bowling)
Clean facilities
BTW they now have their own website

Review from Duncan R.
Washington, DC
You can't ask much more from a bowling alley. At only a few dollars per game, bowling here is the best deal in the area. Pitchers of beer are also available at reasonable prices, and the atmosphere is very relaxed, bordering on Lebowski-esque at times.
The staff here are very friendly, and they enjoy conversing with the patrons. The patrons for their part are very inviting, and if you have a technique that leaves something to be desired, they are apt to offer a few pointers.
The Naval Medical Center is accessible to all active duty military, retired, reservists, and their eligible dependents, NNMC DoD civilians, and NIH employees.
It is refreshingly free of the popped-collar crowd and is a great place for happy hours. -
Review from Dee B.
Being a native Milwaukeean (and as everyone knows Milwaukee is the bowling capital of the world), I found the NNMC Bowling center to be almost a bit sterile. I've never in my life been to a bowling alley that smells like cleaning fluids! A bowling alley is supposed to stink like beer and cigarettes and good ol' American sweat! This "problem" not withstanding, I love this place. The prices are ridiculously cheap, it's rarely super busy, the employees are great. Plus, the super modern scoring system even tells you how many miles per hour your ball rolled down the lane - how cool is that?
