Best Veggie burger in Philly? Maybe. I don't know. It was good. It was also a crumbling mess. Throw an egg and some cheese on that puppy and it's certainly a good meal. I was feeling unhealthy, so I opted for the non-beef patty. Washed it down with something beer from an above-par draft list.
All in all, I'd go back.
GREAT place to watch a ballgame. There's plenty of space...a HUGE TV to ensure maximum visibility and a nice sound system.
I was recently here during the World Series and the place was packed. However...the service was amazing. Our server, Annie, was on point. My table kept wondering how she remembered everything, without writing it down...AND managed to get our drink orders to us so fast in a crowd this big. So...thanks, Annie...you rock and made our night.
The food is your standard, reliable bar fare. However, standard should not be taken as boring. I had the mac & cheese...which was probably the best I've ever had in a restaurant. The rest of my party raved equally as much about their choices.
The beer selection is impressive...and I was happy to find Anchor Steam on tap.
This was my first trip to National Mechanics but given the experience I had...definitely won't be the last.
In the 90s, in one of its numerous incarnations, this premium location housed Coyote Ugly, and going back forever (j/k) to the eighties of my brother's clubbing days, this was the legendary Kennel Club. National Mechanics is definitely not ugly, though quite a few wilderness artifacts of questionable taste decorate the dark walls of this spacious one floor venue. An almost circuslike variety of social/cultural outings may be scheduled on a night you may just want to stop in for a beer (you'll probably notice an occasional sword-swallower or fire dancer gracing steps on the grecian facade), so check up on the listings - though almost always, the frequently participatory spectacle is worth showing up for.
In terms of food, it's hearty American fare, like steaks medium rare. The beer is a prime selling point, of course - the variety of IPAs is respectable, and I found myself a Tsingtao lager, rare outside an Asian eatery. And for the kind of intimately friendly atmosphere this place almost forces through its open floor plan, there's hardly a more appealing choice in town.
We dropped in on a First Friday. Cool creepy decor in a dark pub
atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Never seeming pushy or insensere. Interesting beers on tap for a good price and a nice range of food available with an equally wide range of prices. The food itself was ok. We ordered a Veggie Burger which was a bit odd in texture, but that might have been the point. Not too much in the taste department. We also had a chicken quesadilla which had alot of flavor- just the wrong kind. It tasted like a pizza for some reason. I feel like I should have ordered the burger. They also had a selection of higher end food up to the twenty range, but we did't try threm. Great place for a drink for sure. I guess I'll try the stuff I missed when we go in next time.
I am new to National Mechanics so maybe I am not getting the "charm" of the decor. It was mostly a hodgepodge of fake birds and bare light bulbs. I was also confused by the odd images on the glasses. I know one was Poe but the one on mine looked like someone crossed a photo of Che Guevara with Jesus. But I digress, I went here after the Yelp event under peer pressure to watch a sports game I really done care about. It took a long time to get service, it took a long time for the food to come out even though we only ordered fries and nachos. How long does it take to slap together a plate of nachos? I was not really impressed. The beer specials looked pricey even for Olde City. I might wander back in one day when I am in the area and the place is not hosting a large sports viewing party.
I want to keep this review very simple........................
The
Best
Veggie
Burger
Ever.
There. That's it. Well, I have more positive things to say - but that wraps it up for me. As a vegetarian for 25 years or so - I've had a lot of veggie burgers in my life.
good place to get away from the douchbaggery that is Old City... No cover, good drinks (local and imports) on the beer side. Some cleverly named mixed drinks... Music is usually decent and the staff are for the most part always on top of things (always ask for annie)... the food is good, and the price is right. A favorite place for a late dinner... just get inside before 9 during weekends it gets crowded and parking is always a Bi*ch... I feel that I must give them bonus points for the unique style and decor.
P.S. 1st bathroom on the right has a original Jeremy Fish print! score!
I love national mechanics! It's the kind of bar you go to, that not only has great atmosphere, a great regular crowd, but also great food, and something for everyone.
Of course they have your traditional bar basics, but they also have a full menu with tons of great things to try.
I do have to say one thing...I have read in a lot of reviews about the "best veggie burger ever" and National also boasts this on their menu. I will just say that I am NOT a fan of the veggie burger.
As a vegetarian myself I tend to like veggie burgers of the black bean varity best. Be warned, this burger is a bunch of shredded up veggies shaped into a patty. Not my fav. The fact that it made me sick probably didn't go over well either.
But everything else I have ever had at national has been great!
Stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. I was impressed with the beer list and the "make your own bloody mary bar." The service was excellent from both the waitress and the bartender. Our food was good as well (I had the Monte Christo and my husband had the fish and chips).
Will definitely stop by next time I'm in the neighborhood.
I like this place a lot. It is pretty no-nonsense, though it doesn't skimp, either in terms of vibe or food.
I went here this past Saturday night with a large group (11). They don't take reservations, so we had to get seating on the fly, which sucked but should have been a sign for the large group to just go elsewhere. Seating was predictably somewhat of a problem, though I would not blame the staff for this - they are just not really equipped for this, which is their prerogative. (The customer is not always right.) The gang had to sit at the bar for awhile while some space cleared. They have this policy of shortening the tables late at night because they want more space for the dj/standing crowd, which meant that we were a little limited in choosing seats. We ended up getting split into two groups at tables next to one another, which was lame, but, again, predictable since they aren't really made for large groups. Though it was not really her fault or anything, the waitress helping us with this mess got the birthday boy a cake on the house, which was a very nice gesture and not necessary at all. It was a pleasant ending to a situation that was not really ideal for anyone involved.
As for the food, it is pretty tasty and dynamic. I usually get a burger, but that night I bought the calamari and the steak/fries appetizers. Both of them were solid. Friends ordered the veggie burger (great), corndog (good), soup (ok), creme brule (not so good)... well, I don't really know what the other table ordered, so I'll leave it at that.
In brief: the great food, solid vibe, they have Yuengling for $2.50, just don't come here with a large group late on a Saturday night.
Oh yeah, and the exterior is beautiful and the interior design also looks quite good.
This is my second favorite bar in Philly. I've been for Quizzo, which is wonderfully entertaining, with such a charming moderator. (It never hurts to have a sexy accent, for anything, ever.) I've been for Karaoke, people kinda take it a bit more seriously here than I've previously experienced. (the fact that Cartman's version of "come sail away" is in the catalog and that the gentleman performing it did SUCH a spectacular job made my week) I would recommend bar seating over table seating, the bar tenders are a bit more attentive and friendly. There is nothing wrong with the waitstaff, they just seem to get overwhelmed by the immense amount of seating.
I'd recommend the popcorn chicken, but NOT the flank steak, which strangely smelled similar to cat food. (you know the canned kind in its own gravy) I was actually really surprised by that, because I'd never been disappointed with this place.
The decor is awesome, As it should be for a place that has been a bank and a church. The "booth's" are church pew's with large tables in the middle, i really enjoy all the jarred plants, not to mention the "taxidermy" Dogs with light bulbs coming out of their ass'. The bathrooms are cute too, in a creepy way... actually now that i think about it everything about this bar reminds me of some Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie.. and I really love it.
Blah blah blah beer, and wine... Overall This is a great place to chill, dance, talk, drink, DRINK, fall over, Drink some more, Sing Karaoke and answer some difficult trivia.
This is my go-to bar in Old City, whether I'm by myself or with a lot of friends. They accommodate the latter surprisingly well at the tall tables, which seat around 8. The service is always good and friendly without being overbearing. I absolutely love the terrariums and have to give props to the decent bathrooms.
The avocado and grapefruit salad is amazing and I don't even usually like grapefruit. The rest of the menu is decent (almost exceptional for bar food, not quite as amazing for a restaurant) and they have a long addendum to the online menu with plenty of specials. I wasn't crazy about the calamari (I like it lighter and crunchier) but the fries and everything else are quite edible. Try the infused liquors for even more fun (bacon infused vodka and jalapeno infused tequila last time I asked).
One time I sat at the bar during a quiet Saturday afternoon, and Ben Franklin was the only other bar patron. Fortunately, it wasn't the same one from The Office.
Beautiful bar, it's a classy place that has great decor and great architecture. I can't comment on their menu but the drinks were pretty good. Prices are a tad on the high side for what I remember and there isn't much to do at the bar (unless you go on trivia night) but it seems like the perfect date bar or a great bar if you're sick of dives but aren't into clubbing.
The food rules, the beers rule (awesome pitcher prices, too), very cool decor.
It seems like the have a good Quizzo, too, with Irish John I think his name is. Irish Somebody.
Pretty good prices, too!
I know the Old City Sideshow performs there once in a while, which is awesome, but my loyalties lie with the Squidling Bros. Sideshow Circus.
First impressions frequently make or break for most bars and restaurants. National Mechanics definitely has the first impression down. Walking up, it feels like something out of a movie, the type of place you see on screen, and can't believe it really exists.
The space I'm told began life as a union hall, but later served as a church, a role that seems more appropriate to the building's revival facade. Upon entering, its apparent they played on the history of the building. The bar lines one wall, and the opposite wall has banquettes with church-pew benches. Long, tall tables fill the space between.
Anywhere else but Philly, I'd say the tap row had a good selection, but I'm pretty spoiled here. It's better than the domestic staples you find at other old city bars, but it's not the diverse selection of micros and imports I prefer. They make up for this somewhat with a good bottle selection, but I prefer draught beer.
Food hasn't left me dissapointed, but hasn't really been memorable either. Mostly I go there for karaoke, so I'm usually not eating. The service can also be spotty, mostly because they are perpetually understaffed, so one waitress is handling all the tables, and one bartender is handling both bar and drink station.
Karaoke there is among the best in the city. DJ Joe runs a good show, and the sound is very good. There's also much more of a "stage" area than most places, even if its not raised, its better than standing in the corner of the bar..
I don't get up to old city much, but this is a place that has impressed me. its generally not the same old city crowd I try to avoid, and the prices are decent. I've heard they have a decent brunch, but I have not tried it.
Great beer, great food, great brunch, great karaoke, and it's the taping location for Two Guys on Beer.
If you have an iPhone/iPod Touch with the Remote app installed, you can make requests and vote on the music playing.
One of the best bars in Old City.
Brunch rocks here.
I am on the quest to find the best bloody mary in the city, and if you yourself make a good one, this could easily top the list ;-) I love the make-your-own bloody mary bar, but aside from that, the food is amazing, the service is friendly, attentive, and unpretentious, and the atmosphere is funky without trying too hard. I love this place, and it has consistently ranked as one of my favorite brunches in the city. I've been only twice before for non-brunch (and I'm not sure why that is). My last visit here, we sat at the bar because they were absolutely packed. The bartender was so apologetic for the time it took to get our orders out from the kitchen, that she very graciously (and unnecessarily) comped our drinks--which was half our bill for my friend and I.
My friend Kimberly took me here for brunch when I was visiting Philly for the first time. The place is amazing. It has a really creative and unique atmosphere with interesting artwork and devices everywhere. It's a perfect place if you're looking for somewhere a bit different.
The only problem we had was that it took about an hour to get our food after ordering. The service on drinks was quick and they made sure to keep the fresh tea coming while we waited.
I had the French Toast, which was some of the best I've ever had and almost made up for the wait. I will definitely check this place out again next time I'm in town.
Recently dropped in on a Tuesday evening for an Angus burger and beer. Super quality burger, great service, and excellent beer selection. Also the drafts aren't overpriced and a perfect casual burger and beer atmosphere. Also have some vegetarian options if that's your thing.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place. Probably one of my favorite bars/restaurants in Philly. The food is at worst consistently decent and at best awesome, the drinks are cheap, the booths are huge, and most of the employees are super chill. It's one of the only places in old city that is laid back like this, which is great for before or after a movie or whatever. The burgers (veggie or regular) cannot be messed with and all the buffalo-related things come with homemade blue cheese, which is a nice touch.
The brunch is also awesome and I'm pretty into the bloody mary bar, even though I always end up making mine taste like weird hot pepper or like a giant salt lick (not that that's necessarily a bad thing). The bathrooms are worth checking out because they look like a Victorian science project. Finally, I will say that I got the drunkest I have ever been in my entire life here on $2 miller lites during a VERY leisurely brunch, but that's neither here nor there.
OH - I almost forgot - not sure if they still do this, but if you have some app on your iPhone ("Remote", maybe?) you can play DJ with their iTunes selection. It's sooooo fun.
The server was spectacularly entertaining in a Valley of the Dolls kinda way, leaving us wondering if she took the blue pills, or the red ones, or the white ones.
The prices were reasonable, if only the food had been palatable. The mound of nachos was not well constructed and dry--we needed to ask for more salsa to get them down.
My avocado and grapefruit salad sounded so promising but was underwhelming, it could have used some nuts. My dining companion got the grilled cheese and tomato soup and had to send it back because the sandwich was "made from cardboard."
I was really disappointed in this place. This seems like it would be a cool place to go to lunch, but for just bar/hanging out , it sucked. The food was allright, but the music was SO LOUD that I couldn't hear anything anyone was saying, and we all ended up just yelling at one another. I ordered a well drink and my glass was literally 4/5 ice. Seriously. And I paid for it. The beer list is sizeable and I really appreciated the ample seating. Our waitress was nice, but I just can't say that this is a good place to bring people you like, because you really won't be able to speak to them.
So far I've experienced National Mechanics' Quizzo night, Sideshow extravaganza, DJ dance night, brunch, regular night out with the friends, and karaoke (but I have yet to actually rock the mic myself).
Aesthetically speaking, NM appeals to me from their website design to their bar layout to their architecture (hello, stone pillars and stained glass windows and church pew tables) and accent decor (hello, terrariums and candles and copper bathroom fixtures)... oh no, I think I'm more romantic than I'm willing to admit!
As a general rule I like to wine (beer, actually) and dine at the bar... service is best, the bartenders are great, and I like to see all the menus and drink choices. It can get really crowded and stuffy which, while a testament to how popular the place is, can be a little uncomfortable to get around or see performances, etc.
Have to say that brunch was fantastic... I went around early afternoon and the menu has plenty of great vegetarian options for me as well as lots more for my carnivorous dining buddies. There was a light crowd which was rare and much appreciated. Brunch is way more enjoyable when there is elbow room & sunshine coming through stained glass windows. There I go gettin' all romantic again!
I heart you, National Mechanics. Someday I will bestow upon you the gift of my karaoke skills. Maybe.
On a rare weekend evening furlough I sauntered (ok limped) into National Mechanics to see what all the buzz was about. Yelpers who gave this establishment the 4 star treatment, I tip my jaunty chapeau to you. Although I did not indulge in the gastro offerings from this "gastropub." (That one is for you Aaron) I did imbibe.
Ignoring the sage advice of some wise, unidentified, drunk, I chased my multiple Hoegardens with some liquor infused concoction (the name escapes me so I will call it "Robitussin Surprise") on the urging of a fellow patron. I should have known better than to take the advice of a gentleman, wearing flip-flops, shorts, a tank top and sunglasses at night, but alas...I did.
The rest of my visit is a blur of good 90s hip-hop blaring in the background, self deprecation, interesting debate with the bartender(ess) and (gasp) dancing...
National Mechanics congratulations on chasing away the demons of Coyote Ugly and Foggy Goggles past. I'll be back soon to chase another "Robitussin Surprise" with high fives and Bacchanalian revelry.
Not that they need any more props, but Natl' Mechanics continues to make me happy. In a neighborhood that's not got enough places for both good food AND good drinking while still at a reasonable price range (C'mon, these guys need more competition that's not divey and not snooty) I find this an oasis, almost. Hell, I dont mean to be over dramatic, more.... underwhelmed by the lack of similar spots in Old City.
Every time I go here the draft choices are great, the food dishes are great (especially if you like meat) and the atmosphere is decent.
Hey, last weekend I stopped in for some grub and a couple pitchers and for $18 I was served a juicy grilled pork chop on top of perfectly cooked stringbeans (which I normally dont like to eat) and a nice pile of tasty sweet potato mashies. That and a few pints of Ancher Steam and I was pretty damn content.
So, I apologize if this review doesnt really add anything to the conversation, I just wanted to put off doing more work for a bit. Thanks for your time. God bless.
In town for the weekend and wandering around, we walked in for a bite to eat and some drinks. The building itself is impressive, with its huge columns and stained-glass windows. High ceilings, a long bar, a bunch of terrariums, and church pews as the booth seats rounded out an eclectic mix of decor.
We ordered beer, salad, and burgers. Our server, Anny, with her bright pink hair, piercings, and tattoos, added to the decor of the bar, and couldn't have been nicer. There were a couple large parties whose orders went into the kitchen at the same time. Anny came over to let us know that it would probably be a few minutes before our food came out because of the large parties, which was nice. We weren't left wondering what was going on, and just as she said, as soon as those tables got their food, plates started pouring out of the kitchen for everyone else.
The salad was good, mixed spring greens, tomatoes, cucumbers and red onion with a good balsamic vinaigrette. The burger was tasty, they definitely mix something in with the meat which gave it a good flavor, and nice, thick steak fries to top it off. Add in a couple Yuenglings and all is well.
The staff was great. They were very accommodating, getting folks into the booth they wanted as others cleared out, and rearranging tables to make room for a party of 10 who were coming in as we were making our way out.
The bathrooms are neat in their own way. Two bathrooms, both of which were labeled "Both". The sinks have a funky maze of welded pipes providing water to the faucets. Pretty cool. Pretty cool, indeed.
Yay, I'm definitely a fan.
I don't know how in the hell National Mechanics does it, but they always manage to keep their events fresh! since my last review I've fallen in love with scoping out some Sideshow action every 2nd Friday courtesy of Olde City Sideshow (shout out to Ms. Bugmuncher!). And I've enjoyed checking out karaoke and shaking my butt during some bumping DJ nights.
But I have to especially give it up for their awesome brunch. I had the privilege of being one of the first people to check it out during it's test run (Thanks Chrissy!), and since that time it has delivered ten fold. It's one of the only brunches I can think of that hooks up steak & eggs, and a massive skillet that's loaded with eggs, home fries, and sausage. and the build your own Bloody Mary bar might just be one of the best things ever. But be careful because it has also taught me that their is indeed such a thing as using too much hot sauce. And if you're lucky you might get to listen to the tunes of some happening DJ's during your brunch fix.

This is probably the 2nd most tolerable place in Old City. The beer list is pretty standard with what you see elsewhere around town and not too overly priced for Old City. The food isn't bad - the veggie burger stands out the most. Also - very cool glasses.
The main downside of this place is that if you hit it on the wrong weekend night, the crowd can be annoying and the DJs questionable. But when it gets bad, just head down to Sugar Mom's.
Stepped in a few days ago for an afternoon cold one. I was interested in the glassware as it represents some of Philly's most infamous...EA Poe, Bill Cosby, Fumo, among others. Funny. The bartender was cool, talked my date into trying something she hasn't yet and we got a decent bite to eat as well. Cool place, nice vibe, even though it was pretty empty. All in all, I was happy we stopped in.
National Mechanics is like a long-time boyfriend to me: cozy, familiar, and everything I look for in a mate: clean, attractive, and fun to be around.
Housed in a former bank-turned-church-turned-Coyote-Ugly bar, National Mechanics (or NattyMechs, as I like to call it) has retained elements of all three: high ceilings, brick walls, dark paint, narrow, wooden church pews, stained glass windows, and a long, gorgeous bar -- although you'd be hard-pressed to find anyone dancing on it.
During lunch, they have cheap burgers and veggie burgers, and during Happy Hour, all drafts are $1 off. My favorite night to come to NM's is Wednesday for Quizzo with Irish John (3+ hours of spelling words using reproductive organs/arguing about the absolute zero of water); but the vibe in here is pretty much always kicking.
Of course, like any long-term partner, NattyM's and I have had our tiffs - like when they raised the price of the lunch burger from $5 to $6 -- and the popcorn chicken from $6 to $8. My wallet certainly took a beating that month. And yes, as everyone has noted, they never have enough people working, and sometimes it can take over an hour to get your food.
But the truth is: I really don't mind waiting. The atmosphere is laid-back and comforting, the tunes are awesome (check out what's playing here: http://www.last.fm/use...) and the waitstaff are super-friendly and accommodating -- even when you show up with 20 people and just order pitchers.
The aforementioned popcorn chicken are to die for; the veggie burger might be the best in city (Yes, it really is THAT GOOD); the loaded nachos are banging. Bring you friends -- there's plenty of room for all!
The veggie burger is prohibitively tasty. Prohibitively because you're not going to be able to experience the rest of the menu - and the rest of the menu looks REAL good.
Great selection of beers, quirky but upscale atmosphere... like it was built by a computer hacker.. with a trust fund.
Been here for dinner and drinks a few times, they seem to have a lot of events - so check the calendar or else you may be stuck listening to bad karaoke on a date.
Went to a med student party here last week (i.e. lame, i know). We had a nice tab running, and the waitress took care of us by bringing tons of food and drinks to our overcrowded table.
The drinks were stiff, as my tanqueray pour got me my money's worth.
The food was alright. Good selection of standard pub fare and decent desserts. Extra points for the calamari.
Brad's rating (out of 5):
Food: 3
Price: 3
Decor: 4 (cool steampunk inspired sinks, but only two bathrooms)
Service: 4
Wild card: 80's happy DJ refused my request of "King of Wishful Thinking" because he had already played it
Great bar and cool ambiance. Met a few friends here for some beers and had a good time. I loved that the original stained glass was still there and dug the pillars out front. The waitresses were awesome-funny and super cool.
The DJ was a bit snarky-when I requested some Beyonce single ladies for an impending dance-off, he promptly told me he didn't have any Beyonce, Lady Gaga, Brittany, etc. Ok-settle down now.
But ya, besides the DJ, great place. Also love that yingling is so cheap there!
Since I've been cooking at home a lot, I'm going to draw on my back catalogue of dining out experiences. I've been to National Mechanics a few times, and there is one specific reason that keeps me coming back: The lunch special featuring $5 burgers and decent pitchers, with Yard's and PBC represented.
National Mechanics is a totally weird place. It's some kind of historic building (it looks like a bank from the outside) that has been converted into a great looking bar. It has a nice hardwood bar and a decent amount of high-top tables and booths. As far as service goes, don't expect much. My favorite detail about National Mechanics is there pint glasses featuring local celebs like Rocky, John Street, Cole Hamels, and the likes.
There is a better than average beer selection, but it's overpriced. Your best bet is to still with the local brews, and last time I went the PBC and Yards were both kicked; no replacements on the horizon. Like I said, don't expect much from the service.
The burger is very good, and at $5, it becomes excellent. It even comes with fries! This place is sweet. There's a veggie burger available at the same price for all of the non-meat eaters.
Bottom Line: This place is great for lunch. I never have been, and probably never will go to this in the evening, partly because of much better options. The beer selection and availability of pitchers is nice, especially for Olde City. There are probably a whole load of people who love this place because it's exactly their kind of "thing." I'm not one of those people.
I'm realizing that all my reviews focus on the drinks...so, I'll start by talking about the sliders I ate last week for lunch. Yes, yes, yes, they were great and if you get the chance, get themmmm.
So this place has amazing infusions; Bacon vodka, jalepeno tequila, apple and spice whiskey. Did I lose you at bacon vodka? I'm a huge fan of the whiskey and I typically pair it with a Kenzinger...or whatever other beer I happen to be in the mood for. Don't shoot it though, sip it slowly like the sophisticate you are.
I like to go there on off-nights because I think the Rittenhouse crowd has started to flock here on weekends. Don't get me wrong, I love the Rittenhouse crowd...errr..
They have great Quizzo and feature a weekly line-up of other talent (The Olde City Sideshow for eg.). Oh and for brunch, you can make your own bloody mary. They give you a list of ingredients and you basically take your pick. Don't ask me though, I'm not a big fan of the stuff.
National is an oasis in a land of Old City cheese.
I love this building. Visited it a couple times in the early nineties when it was Revival, but this was my first trip back. Thankfully I skipped its incarnation as Cayote Ugly.
We sat right by the open window in the front. Great people watching spot. On the window sill next to us was a cool collection of carnivorous plants.
I asked for my burger rare... And they did not disappont. Perfectly rare burger. Great thick steak fries. Carolyn had the buffalo shrimp.
Great server (Anny?) and an attentive and friendly staff.
Not sure the $10 pitcher of lager was worth the price (since pints were $2.50 and I think we only got about three and a half pints out of the pitcher) but everything else was well worth the price.
I am increasing the stars for National Mechanics because they have improved their beer selection AND it has never been overrun with douchebags when I've been there. The servers are friendly and competent even with their multiple facial piercings (not that I generally have a problem with that sort of thing). And on more than one occasion I have been truly impressed with the music. It loses a star because I hate Old City.

Great beer selection and great food for everyone even for vegetarian and those who are broke yes broke. Hard economics times you want a place that won't drain your wallet, this is your place. There have great happy hour specials and food specials too. Great price in Old City!!
This place is always trying to do something different. They had a rock band night and they are currently running a Street Fighter 4 night! Being a gamer, this has me choosing to spend my Sunday nights out instead of getting ready for the week! I love love love their nachos and the Obama bomb is the best drink ever period.
Cool atmosphere, great service!
visiting philadelphia for the weekend just to eat a cheesesteak and stumbled across this place so thought wed try it out.
food was good but i cant remember what we ordered. some sort of sandwich.
weird thing was........there was some sort of magic show that was pretty entertaining and very creepy.
