1 review for Nathaniel Russell House
who knew faux finishing was so big in 1808?
This Russell character had a thing for somewhat garish renditions of mahogany on his doors and such, which is odd since it couldn't have been that expensive back then. Also painted some other elements in faux, like the lapis lazuli base of his fireplace mantle upstairs... anyway, really amazing "house" (more like a castle) and very cute senior lady running the tour. Well worth $10.
