OK. Let me first say that I am a sucker for a mom and pop drugstore. The idea of filling my RX at a Duane Reade or a Rite Aid is no fun. There is no old lady who calls you honey and answers the phone with a strong Italian accent....."Pharmacy Nap-ee-oh..."
Luckily, they do that at Napolitano. The keep all the records in the computer BUT ALSO on a tiny little school notebook. GENIUS.
What I want in a drugstore is for them to refill my prescriptions quickly and for them to know who I am. CHECK. CHECK.

I love that the whole time I've lived in Williamsburg, I've been able to fill my prescriptions at local, family businesses. First, at Northside Pharmacy on Bedford, which is Polish-run, now here at Napolitano, which is Italian (duh). Friendly, fast, local pharmacy with good prices. It's sad that these businesses are quickly going the way of the dodo. Let's keep the little guys in business! Get your doctors to give you more drugs so they can stay afloat. That's my contribution to the world.
