Our driver Abe was the best and YES their party buses are amazing. Call them even if you live near the SF area.. they picked us up in Berkeley and took us to San Jose...
Over the phone customer service: the 24 hour phone service is amazing, they are very thorough and took the time to go over our options. The prices were very competitive and cheaper than most limo buses in SF. They were also able to accommodate our reservation a day before the party. They provided us with the juices we specially requested (very nice of them to ask what exactly we needed) sodas, water, cups, and other party essentials. THE FREE PIZZA WAS AN AMAZING TREAT given everyone was craving food by the end of the night.
The Limo Bus: We had originally rented an 18 passenger limo bus but it was not ready in time since someone else had rented it and they didn't have enough time to clean it for us; so, they gave us the 30 passenger limo bus at NO EXTRA CHARGE. We are very thankful for that and hope the 18 passenger bus isn't ready next time we get it hehehe.... The limo was classy and just amazing; it was equipped with leather seats, ipod adapter, big screen TV, and lots of walking room (a dancing pole and special lighting effects on the big screen TV would have been fun). The bus driver told me he would tell his boss about including a dvd with lighting effect next time we get the bus, which we will...
The driver (ABE): Abe was amazing from the beginning. He came 45 minutes before the reserved time, he was funny, and very professional above all. He picked an excellent pizza for us and made our partying experience so much more enjoyable. We will be requesting Abe as a driver next time we get a party bus and hope that more people do.
Overall: I highly recommend NVWCT to everyone, we live in Berkeley and would pick them over any other bay area limo/party bus business. Thank you all for the excellent service...
Sincerey,
Alfonso and friends
Add my name to the list of satisfied customers. I hosted an event for 7 out of town guests, and since some of them were coming in from San Francisco, and others from Sacramento, the intersection of Hwys 12 and 29 was a perfect meeting spot. I stumbled upon NVWCT whlie looking at the intersection of the two Hwys on a Google map. Relying on previous Yelp reviews, I took a chance working with them. It was a hit. Our concierge, Jineen, did a good job setting up the visits at each winery that I selected, and she kept in touch with me to adjust the schedule as many of the wineries have absurd rules about group visits. Glen was our driver, and provided some tour guide services. He also asked if he could buy us sandwiches for lunch while we were tasting. He took our order, collected the money (this was a no-host event), and brought back the food. The limo also had ample water bottles on ice for the entire day trip.
I'd use NVWCT again, and highly recommend them.
My wife and i were in SF for only a weekend but this was the best part of our trip by far.
First off Keith, the driver. Excellent man, sense of humor, great driving skills and an all around great guy. Do yourself a favor and request Keith and when you meet him, its a must to hear his music. He had a guitar with him for the trip, and he serenaded us in the limo bus. Drinking wine in Napa with Keith playing guitar, tough to beat. I cant say enough about Keith and what a great tour guide he was.
The tour is like advertised, no tricks or deviations. Picked up in union square, we were surprised to find that we were one of two couple on that days tour. Excellent selection of bagels, croissants, cheeses and fruit for breakfast. Off to the Golden Gate for some pictures then on to Wine country. This tour has an "in" with the wineries meaning private tours of the wineries, 15% discounts, awesome people and just a perfect experience. Excellent lunch is included and then onto downtown Sonoma where you taste cheeses and stop for Gellato.
Tour was perfect in time length, no hidden or added costs, the free lunch was superb and the staff was second to none. The one regret i do have is not buying Keith's cd. This tour is a must!
My 5 girlfriends and I booked a party bus/limo with Napa Valley Wine Country Tours. With out-of-town guests, wine-tasting is one of the best ways to entertain!
Keith, our fab driver/host for the day, picked us up right in Union Square on a rainy Saturday morning. First stop- Starbucks! Breakfast was provided in the limo with delicious croissants, cheese and fruit. After crossing the GG Bridge, we stopped at a look-out point to take pictures (what girls do best).
Throughout the day we visited 4 wineries, 2 in Sonoma and 2 in Napa. Jacuzzi winery was probably my favorite. Tuscan style replica of the winery in Italy, knowledgeable staff and an amazing selection of olive oil- sample without caution! We each walked out with a bottle of the basil parmesan.
We also visited a cheese shop in Sonoma- all you can sample cheese and fudge! Lunch was also provided. Sandwiches and pasta salad were set for us on a sunny picnic table outside one of the wineries.
The end to a perfect day concluded with a Keith original guitar playing along with some special song requests. All in all a fantastic experience!
This was such a great wine tour! We went with a bunch of girls for on of my friend's 24th birthday and had a fantastic day! Abe, our driver, was hilarious and made the trip a lot of fun. The party bus had a few other groups/couples on it and it turned out to be a really fun mix of people. Lunch was great and in a pretty picnic spot. We even got a free bottle of champange to bring home for the birthday girl!
Highly recomended tour and such a great value!! I've done several other wine tours in different places and this was my favotrite.
If you are reading this and trying to find a decent limo service that doesn't rip you off and isn't going to screw you in the end...you know that this is hard to come by. Napa Valley Wine Country Tours was a Godsend I swear! I was about to give up after calling several limo services that just couldn't fit my budget and/or had horrible customer service. Sharif was so cool and accommodating...he even upgraded our vehicle when the one we orignally wanted was booked. At no extra cost!
Scott our limo driver was awesome too. He has been in the biz for 14 years and knows everything about everything. He even set out our lunch for us at one of the wineries. He is super prepared with lots of water, ice, and barfbags (just in case haha).
Overall, my experience was awesome. And I paid what was agreed upon in the beginning. My only criticism is about one guy Mike (I think) that was not helpful at all and was originally supposed to help out with creating the itinerary but I had to constantly be on top of it and he kept forgetting who I was and what wineries we were going to make appts at. Scott, the driver, called me one day to my rescue and set everything up.
SO - awesome company. Beware of Mike.
Had a great time and it was the highlight of our trip. The limo bus was very comfortable an just over all a great experience. The food was good but don't go expecting gourmet dining, what you would expect from a picnic. Really enjoyed it and would expect to pay way more for something like this.
My experience with Napa Valley Wine Country Tours was disappointing. They only get 2 stars because my poor driver was sweet, and my party of 20 still had a great time despite their incompetence. In fact, I would give them a 1.5 star.
I reserved a party bus for 18 more than a month in advance for my birthday extravaganza in Sonoma. I wanted to go to 4 wineries that charged no more than $10 per tasting, because everyone in my party was shelling out $80+ each and I didn't want them to spend so much on tastings. We weren't going after quality for this day - for obvious reasons.
Sharif, the owner said he would comp 3 bottles of champagne on the house for my birthday, and the bus had 2 flat-screen TV's. Of course none of that was true. Scott, one of the drivers who SAID he would be my driver, also confirmed that I would get those 3 bottles of champagne comped. Of course he wasn't my driver, and there were no bottles of champagne on the house. Finally, over the month of going back and forth and planning my birthday, Mitchell the dispatcher confirmed here would be no bottles of champagne on the house. I was too tired to fight over 3 bottles of champagne and brought 10 of my own instead.
I called the day before to confirm where my first appointment would be. The dispatcher said the first appointment was at Jacuzzi. The driver said it was Ceja. Already, there was miscommunication which should have been a major red flag for me.
The party bus was supposed to arrive by 9:45. They arrived at 10:15 a.m. much to my dismay. Then to stress me out even more, the first winery (CEJA) that Mitchell made an "appointment" at, said nobody had called them and there was NO appointment for my party of 20. I called Mitchell on his cell phone to complain, and all he said was, "sometimes it's just like that. There's nothing you can do about it." Wow! What great service! You are 30 minutes late, and you screwed up my first appointment!
The rest of the day ended up being decent. In fact, my party and I still had a ridiculously great time and the other wineries were reserved properly, though Jacuzzi's client service reps gave my group attitude for being late. There was lots of drinking, dancing, and messiness on board. All in all, still a fantastic time.
I DO NOT recommend this company or service to anybody - you will be upset and heavily disappointed.
Oh and one more thing. They charged us an additional hour AFTER being 30 minutes late.
This company provided excellent service. The bus/limo was well equiped, clean and comfortable. There were 11 of us in 5 groups and we all had a great time. We visited 4 wineries, Jacuzzi, Madonna, Roche, Cline. I would say my favorite was Madonna, and leaving Roche you met the bus behind a cheese store that had free samples of over 30 types of cheeses, they also made their own fudge which were excellent. Our tour guide Keith was very professional, humorous, and played guitar and sang during our lunch. The tour was started with a light breakfast of croissants, cheeses, fruits and juices. Lunch included turkey and roast beef sandwitches, and pasta and ceasar salad. Keith really made the tour. Thanks Keith!!!!
My niece came to visit SF for the week-end and her one request was to take a wine tour. I live in SF, but had never done a wine tour. All I knew is that I didn't want to do any driving and would like someone else to arrange where to go.
After surfing the internet (& Yelp) I came across Napa Valley Wine Tours and their "San Francisco to Wine Country Daily Wine Tour - $99 per person."
http://www.winecountry...
The price was right, a varied assortment of stops pre-arranged (Jessup Wineries was our favorite), and we were able to walk to the pick up/drop off location from my house! Everyone on the tour was incredibly friendly, it wasn't overcrowded and our tour guide Curtis was terrific - as was Sharif (the owner & our driver for the day).
My niece claims it was the highlight of her week-end, and I would take other visiting guests on this tour again...
