Hand drawn noodles!!!! HAND DRAWN!

I saw a No Reservations thing about china, and how there this was a dying art.  The thought that I might not be able to try some hand drawn noodles sort of hurt my heart, but apparently they make hand drawn noodles here.

I tried the roast duck with wonton noodle soup.  While I wasn't blown away with the roast duck or the wonton, the broth and the noodles were very good.  Next time, I'll probably try the beef brisket, but back to the star of the dish, the noodles.

The noodles were a great consistency, and I will definitely be back and try some of the other noodle dishes.  The price is great too.

I learned about the amazing Nanzhou Hand Drawn Noodle House from Yelp. It just goes to show that Yelp reviews by and large are a great resource.

We tried the hand-drawn and shaved noodles with braised beef and pork. They were great. The broth was favorful, the noodles fresh and tender yet just chewy enough. I think I could eat here daily.

We (two) ate here, got stuffed and run up a whopping $16 bill.

Learned about this amazing spot from a friend. After yelping the amazing reviews, I had to give it a try. I was not disappointed!

The place is small, so seating is limited. I've been here twice, and one time we were asked to share a table with two strangers. No big deal, it's totally worth it!

The noodles are so yummy and chewy. The brisket broth is drool-inducing. Such lovely comfort food at such reasonable prices.

If you're a fan of Pho, give this place a try and get your socks knocked off.

So I was super excited about this place after reading rave review after rave review.  However I was extremely disappointed.  I ordered the Braised Beef Noodles and Pig Eears as take out.  Perhaps my experience would have been better if I had ate in, however I had the unfortunate pleasure of smelling the noodles in my car all the way home which smelled like dirty feet (strike one.)  By the time I got to my house in Roxborough I knew that this was not going to be the mind blowing meal that I had hoped for.

Moving beyond the pungent smell of rotten feet, I put the noodles into my awaiting broth and beef.  Or should I say fat, there was so much fat and grisly pieces in my bowl that I got no more than 2 or 3 bites of edible meat out of the whole thing (strike two.) The Pig Ears were no more appetizing than the fatty beef (strike three.)

All in all a pretty disappointing experience.

Fantastic and cheap. I love the rich and savory #14 noodles with pork soy. Get it with a fried egg and shaved noodles. What are shaved noodles you ask? Delicious - the shape is like narrow strips of shwarma made from noodle, complete with varied thickness and scrappy ends.

A good fast lunch place, not much space. Plain tables and a Chinese movie plays from a big screen by the front window.

It was like the manager read the Yelp reviews and decided to improve the customer-service for the restaurant.

When I went again another time, they replaced the bitter-looking waitress who rarely smiled with another who was much more approachable and friendly. Though again, I  was thinking that maybe the waitress had trouble conversing in English...

The reason why I deducted a star is because I usually enjoy getting a plate of spicy pig ears. They are delicious. I introduced the noodles and pig ears to my boyfriend and he said that the only reason why he goes back is for the pig ears. The portion of the pig ears have decreased and instead, they put a lot of the marinated white radish and carrots on the bottom so that it seems like there are a lot of pieces of the pig ears... when in reality, there isn't.

I still like my noodles and marinated pig ears, but it'd be great if they could have left it at the same portions!

I have only been here once when i visited philly.  I was in the city, yelped my iphone for some chinese noodle soup, and this is the first place that popped up.  Yum, this place is pretty authentic chinese noodle shop, it has hand made noodles as well as chopped noodles where they slice their noodles from dough.  The place is pretty small with poor air circulation, but that didn't stop me from being excited and trying their food.  I ordered the pig ears and beef noodle soup.  The beef noodle soup, to my surprise isn't the Taiwanese kind where the broth is dark, but instead the broth was clear.   The food was still good, just not what i had expected. The service wasn't particularly bad as well.   Will i come back again? absolutely. In fact i cant wait.

thank god for yelp+iphone, or else i would have never discovered this place.

It was saturday afternoon, overcast, I was out roaming around with my camera playing my tourist role. My tummy started to grumble big time, so I whipped out my phone like Quick Draw McGraw, and in a flash the Yelp's nearby button had me heading toward Nanzhou. The place was packed, but I was at the head of the queue, I preordered the sea food noodle standing by the door, the line outside was getting longer by the minute. A couple were done eating, but they were taking their sweet time. Yo, give up the seat already, go yak somewhere else! Well, I don't think I say it out loud, but they definitely caught my stink eye though. I ended up sharing the table with a lady and her young son waiting behind me, they seems to be in a hurry, and it beats eating all by myself.
I was trying to peek at the TV behind me that was playing some Chinese movie, and happened to see the guy at the next table with a bow of wonton, OMG, how could I missed the wonton on the menu, I haven't had wonton in ages, I started to drool just looking at his bowl, so I had to order one too, plus they were only $2.5, you can't go wrong there. I tell you what, those were the tiniest wonton I've ever seen in my life, but there were at least a dozen or more in my bowl, they were oh so delicious! And then my steaming bowl of sea food noodle magically appeared in front of me, same tasty broth, the noodle was cooked perfectly, yumfest. I got out for just under $10, with a few bucks for tip, you can bet your sweet cheeks I'm coming back for more.

Went again. It was better than before.

The store is open again as of this writing. Was closed dude to a fire in the apartment above (as far as I know).

Additional notes - I think you might have to ask for hand drawn specifically because the noodles were a lot better than last time.

Just came back from this place after hearing rave reviews both here on Yelp and from my friends.

I ordered the beef brisket hand drawn noodle soup. Delicious! I forgot to tell them to hold the cilantro, though - I hate it. Reviewers have mentioned gristly bits in the brisket but I didn't find any in my soup.

Super cheap, quick service (my friend and I went to grab bubble tea next door at Rising Tide and our food was waiting for us when we got back), tasty food.

Fresh noodles, made in front of your eyes! (Well, I guess you can kind of see into the kitchen.) This place is always packed. It has a simple menu with only about a dozen items, but they are all good. Things tend to be priced in the $4-6 range. La mian soups are the staple of the place, but you can also get a mean zha jiang mian, as well as peanut butter noodles. Yum, yum! The service is fast; they tend to be able to whip things up in under ten minutes. Don't linger too long though, as there are always people waiting for a table.

This place was great.  I ordered the vegetable and egg noodle bowl, which was only $4, and if i wasn't insanely hungry, it could have been 2 meals.  My eating companion ordered the seafood special which had mussels, shrimp, etc in it and said it was delicious.  We both had the hand drawn noodles, but when i saw the shaved, my heart skipped a beat.  Nice, thick noodles, totally looked right up my alley.  Definitely ordering those next time.

The shop is pretty small inside with limited seating, at least for how popular it seems.  We sat at a big round table with 2 groups of strangers, which was A.O.K with me, especially once the bowl was put in front of me.

This was one of the best Chinese noodle houses on the east coast when it first opened and deserved a 5 star rating easily. The chef's hand shaven and hand drawn noodles were amazing and his wife was extremely friendly to all the customers. However, it has changed owners at lease once (maybe twice) in the last few years. I'm not sure if the original chef is still there because the quality of the noodles has gone way downhill and the service is now mediocre. Also, they no longer to brisket/tendon noodle soups like they did before and that was their best item.

It's still a good noodle house solely because it's the only one like this in Philly but I no longer make sure I must go get some hand drawn noodle whenever I'm in Philly. The quality of the noodles there now is really a meh, I've experienced better; both at Nanzhou Hand Drawn Noodle House in its glory days and elsewhere. Sad.

I almost forgot to yelp this restaurant!

I should say Nanzhou Hand Drawn Noodles is the BEST noodles that I ever had in the states, with no doubt! I went to visit my friend in Philadelphia two months ago and she took me to this noodles house, love this restaurant! Noodles were hand make so it's very fresh and you can taste its not from the box of dry noodles you get it from Chinese grocery store.  I had beef stew noodles soup, it was very delicious ! Beef was so juicy and tender and the soup stock was rich! Love the pickles top of the noodles, made the soup stock even have stronger favor! We also had spicy pig ears, yummy! Very spicy but taste so good, best appetizer ever! The price of the noodles is very cheap, restaurant is clean and you clearly can see the way they make their noodles in the open kitchen.

I wish this noodle house in Chicago(but not) , I'm definitely will go back again if next time I go to Philadelphia!! Too bad I'm not living there so I cannot try all of their food in the menu, but I will be back!

Three words: Delicious, cheap, incredible.  Let me elaborate on each.

Delicious -- Amazingly fresh noodles; a rich and flavorsome clear broth; fresh green herbs, and delectable pieces of meat.  Even the tea was tasty.

Cheap -- My husband and I each got a bowl of noodle soup.  The bowls were larger than we expected, a very bountiful soup!  Our total check came to $11.50.

Incredible -- Being able to watch our noodles made right in front of our eyes warmed us before we even began eating our soup.

We definitely plan to return.

This place really is "5-stars" in all shapes and forms...

FOOD:

The noodles here are fresh, made in house, and made to order.  It is truly an art form, as they have their kitchen visible to the dining room.  In many places, the noodles get forgotten in Asian Cuisine-not so with Nan Zhou.  The freshness of the noodles really come out with the first bite and until the last mouthful.

I order two dishes from this place regularly: the beef soup and the soy sauce noodles with pork.  It's a simple choice really. If you're craving for hot comforting soup, then go for the beef soup.  If you're after a yummy pork induced food coma, then try the soy sauce noodles with pork (I recommend eating this dish with the hot pepper seeds).  Both are excellent dishes!

Unlike pho, the soup is great as is, and there is no need to add condiments (unless spice is your thing then go for the pepper seeds or if you're an egg fiend like me add the fried egg).

SERVICE & VALUE:

Lastly the greatest thing about is place is the combination of price and service.  Although, eloquence of the English language is not the servers' forte, attention to their customers is.  Water refills are always timely, and the place is clean (always a plus)!

Next is the value, this place CANNOT be beat!  You can spend $6 on either dish mentioned above, and you get huge portions big enough to share. These are large dishes that are sure to fill your stomachs with wonderful gastronomical goodness!

Two words for you ----- COMFORT FOOD!

The outside may look a bit drab --- the inside drab again ---- but look past all of that and focus on the food!

My husband and I had the beef birisket noodle --- out of this world! The broth was clear and soothing. The beef was soft and totally melted in my mouth --- there were no fatty pieces, all lean. The noodle were sooooo tasty --- not soggy or overcooked, just right. And the service was quick --- we got our food 5 minutes after ordering --- no joke!

CASH ONLY PLACE! I will totally come back!

I needed a place to stop for a quick and cheap dinner before a movie, so after some quick Yelping I came across Nanzhou. Glad I did! The place is pretty small, but has also been uncrowded every time I stopped in. The menu basically just consists of appetizers and soup, but the options within are varied. I've only been twice and ordered the duck once, and oxtail once, both with the hand drawn noodles (as opposed to shaved). Both were excellent! Big piles of thick and imperfectly cut noodles in the middle of a big bowl of broth surrounded by hunks of meat still on the bone and topped with scallions and some vegetable that looked like celery but had a pickle flavor. (Sorry, don't know my exotic veggies very well, but it was a great addition.) They also have Sriracha chili sauce which I love adding to give it a kick.

My method is basically to get chopsticks in my right hand, spoon in left and just scoop up whatever I can get with either one. This can lead to a bit of a mess but it's well worth it.

Tasty and filling soup that hits the spot when you want something wholesome and hearty. Super cheap, fast service, and air conditioning so you can enjoy it year round.

Fresh off a plane from LA, and feeling kind of cold in an East coast winter, I wanted comfort food that would warm me up.

And to me nothing says comfort like a bowl of Chinese noodle soup.

I got the beef soup, and my mom got a seafood one. Both of our broths tasted the same, strangely enough. My mom didn't really like her noodles, but I thought mine were good.

Just the thing to warm up on a cold night!

I visited this lovely establishment after sleeping on it for about 6 months.  The increasing number of good reviews on yelp finally proved to be my breaking point.

Unfortunately there were exactly 0 chairs to sit in when I went, so I grabbed a beef brisket soup with the hand drawn noodles to go.  I took it back to my works' break room and was greeted by a huge container with the broth and meat in it, and another with a massive helping of extremely fresh smelling noodles.

The broth was so rich and tasty, the noodles had a amazing fresh flavor, and the beef was tender and flavorful.  My only gripe is that my pieces of meat were accompanied by a lot more fat and rubber band textured cartilaginous material than described on here...maybe it was just my serving.  Either way I ate everything even remotely edible because I was grateful for the amazing flavor and wanted to have an authentic experience.

5 stars, 1 mental star taken away for there being no seats to sit in ... I would have even sat next to the 100 year old women slurping and splashing away.

Cheap, nourishing, and mighty tasty. The best part of it all is the fresh, handmade noodles.

The lamb noodles are good, but mostly consists of lamb neck bones which had scant meat on them.

I heartily recommend the braised beef noodles--the beef is braised but the broth is light and is flavored by the strongly flavored meat sitting in them.

Did I mention the fresh, hand made noodles? Best part of it all. You can hardly get anything that's genuinely hand made these days for the price of these noodles.

Whenever I'm near Chinatown in need of a quick snack, this is my destination.  You wouldn't guess from looking at the exterior...or from a quick glance around the 'dining area' - devoid of decor save a flat screen tv in the corner set to some asian tv network, that this place has really excellent noodles! I've been here many times, but unfortunately since I don't eat meat, the only vegetarian dish on the menu I can order is the sesame noodles (all the soups are made using beef stock). However,  the noodles are fresh and delicious, topped with scallions and a light peanut sauce.  very cheap also!

It's tough to beat a dinner out for 6 dollars. I went with the beef brisket due to all the rave reviews, and it was stellar, especially with the addition of sriracha and a little soy sauce, though i could have done without the fatty extra. I know, occupational hazard of brisket, but still. The service was brusque, but fast. And, clearly, cheap.

Definitely will be back to try the other options. And to watch them pull the noodles!

Truly as good as it gets. You'll probably pass by this place because it's a hole in the wall, but inside there's a small dining room that's very homey -- and always crowded (especially on weekends). The hand-drawn noodles are the star of the menu, but don't be afraid to branch out and try something new. It's not hard to go wrong at a place that knows what it does well and sticks to it.

Don't be surprised if you show up and they seat you at a communal table. The place is just that small. And in asian cultures it is not considered bad manners to slurp your soup. So slurp away!

Important to know: this place is CASH ONLY.

On a quest for a cheap lunch, I decided to try Nanzhou. Good call! The hostess said my oxtail noodle soup could be ready in less than five minutes, which was great, since I still had to trek back to 12th and Market in the sweltering heat.

I turned to the back, where I saw a fellow putting dough through a roller, cutting the noodles, drawing them over and over, and then tossing them into a violently boiling cauldron. Just as I thought to myself, "This place is action packed! I can be a little late for work as long as I don't have to stop watching..." the hostess let me know that my food was DONE. The whole process took maybe two minutes, and I was off.

Back at the office, I unpacked my bag--a quart of broth, meat, and vegetables, and a package of noodles, which by this time, were sort of formed into the square shape of their styrofoam house. No worries--I dumped the noodles into the soup, broke them up a bit with my chopsticks, adjusted to taste with chili oil, and went to town.

Wow. these are incredible noodles.

It sort of seems secondary that the oxtail pieces were smaller and bonier than I think they should have been, even for ox tail.

Everything was secondary to those noodles.

The whole thing came to $6.15, and I could eat just barely half.

Try these noodles.  I will be back to this gem of a place, and soon.

If you love pho, you will love this place.

The menu is simple and straightforward. Choose your protein (beef, duck, ox tail, vegetable, what have you) then you choose whether you want the handdrawn noodles or the shaved noodles.

So far I can only speak for one soup, the duck with handdrawn noodles. It's pretty good. Comes with a lot of greens.  Make sure to add some sririacha and chili oil! The only qualm I could have is that they don't give you the good meat on the duck, kind of like the more fatty and bony parts.  Tastes like the typical chinatown roast duck (the ones hanging in the windows).

Big ups on price, freshness, good free tea, and fast service! Beware of possibly having to share a table with other people if it's really busy (like I had to!) It's not that bad though.

I just had the most amazing veggie and egg noodle soup!  The noodles are so fresh and tasty and the soup stock rich and spicy.  Also as many other people noted in their reviews not only is this place fast but the food comes at quite a bargain too!  I got enough food for three people - two huge bowls of noodle soup, one order of noodles in a spicy peanut sauce and 2 soda's for less then $15.  An added bonus is being able to watch the chef tossing the dough around and making the noodles right in front of us.  I will definitely be back!

This place doesn't have to do much to satisfy me. I am always endlessly fascinated by watching these chef magicians make thinner and thinner noodles just by, it seems, stretching and slapping them on the work table.

I don't know much about the menu as I don't ever get anything but the fresh noodles in the soups, usually duck.  I think they are hands down the best Asian noodles in the city, rivaling the very best satiny Italian home mades and not even the really bad vintage luncheonette decor can keep me away from a periodic visit.

Cheap and yummy-- these traits are a must for Chinatown eateries. I came to the Noodle House on a very cold, very rainy night. I was so happy to see my friend already at a table with a pot of complimentary green tea.

I had the soup with meat balls (I am pretty sure they were just generically called meat balls, but they could've been called pork balls). I was mostly pleased, although I thought the meat was a little too fatty. I'm also sensitive to that fatty taste, so it could just be me. My friend had the fish balls and thought they were pretty good. My boyfriend had the brisket, which everyone agreed was the best. The broth, in my opinion, is really the best part. Plus the fixins! I love putting tasty greens and Sriracha sauce in my soup.

It's definitely a small place, and I really wouldn't come here with more than 6 people. Also if you tell your waitress that you need another minute to decide, she will actually be back in one minute. It also didn't feel like a place where you could linger a while. It was sort of order, eat, and go. Which is fine because there are a few bakeries around the corner where you could sit for a long while without being bothered.

Nan Zhou has been on my "to visit" list for months now, and did not disappoint. It's small and has brusque service that requires a lot of pointing and ordering by number, but the noodle soup, either handdrawn in the small open kitchen or fresh-shaved, is delicious, ridiculously cheap, and arrives at the table in 5 minutes. I was so eager to start slurping my vegetable and fried egg soup with handdrawn noodles, I forgot to take a photo until half the soup was safe in my tummy, but I think you'll still get the idea.

The vegetarian soup costs less than $4, though I added an extra, entirely unneeded deep-fried egg, for an additional 50 cents. You can see the tangle of fresh noodles, which got even more delicious as they absorbed more of the soup broth, the deep-fried egg, and what remained of the generous heap of fresh cilantro. The broth is quite delicate, and I added two Tbs. of hot chili oil and soy sauce. Handdrawn noodles can be difficult to find, and I'd suggest ordering these instead of the thicker, very doughy shaved noodles. The menu can be a bit difficult to decipher, mostly because of poor English translation, and I wished for a vegetarian -friendly side dish. Overall, though, I was very pleased with the flavor of my soup, and its great value. The soup was so perfect on a blustery fall day, I somehow managed to finish the entire, huge, bowl!

We got stuck in a traffic jam on I95 for 45 minutes on Saturday going here from our home in Delaware to Chinatown in Philly, just to have lunch here. It was so worth the trip!

I got the pork soy sauce noodles, and my husband got the meatball soup. They were both awesome. We are serious fans of Pho, and we both loved the soup. My noodle plate was worth getting again...but I definitely want to try other menu items! The noodles are spectacular, and the the prices are so low, it's amazing they make a profit.

Just a few "warnings" (more just a heads-up). If it's still winter and you are seated at one of the tables next to the door, be prepared to be cold. If you go there alone or in a group of 2, you will likely be seated at one of the communal tables. Chances are, someone else at the table will be slurping their soup, and belching without any shyness or hand-blocking. But that's all part of the charm.

Oh, and they're CASH ONLY...in today's debit card friendly world, don't forget to stop at the ATM.

I came here after reading some reviews on Yelp, which said that there were both meat-friendly and vegetarian-friendly item(s) on the menu.

Unfortunately, this was not the case.  Unlike what some other people have insinuated, the noodle soup with egg and vegetable noodle soup is not vegetarian.  Actually every single item on their menu is not vegetarian save for the single dish of peanut sauce over noodles.  I specifically asked the people working there, and that's a fact that the soup they use in all of their noodle soup is a beef-based soup.  Yes, even the vegetable and egg noodle soup.

Still, my boyfriend (not being a vegetarian) really liked the noodles there and the service is very fast and the dishes, very cheap.  I did order the vegetable and egg noodle soup before I bothered to read the menu more carefully, so I ended up packing that to go for my boyfriend later and instead ordering the peanut sauce over dry noodles with an egg on the side.  Still, it was good, and only for something like $3.75.

Recommended if you eat meat, otherwise, though the peanut sauce over noodles is pretty good, nothing to go out of your way for.

Mmmmm Mmmmmm Mmmmmm!!!

Get an absolutely delicious bowl of hand made noodles for under $7.  This tiny shop servers up asian comfort food at its best.  If you order the hand drawn noodles you can watch the guy in the kitchen yank and twirl that dough until the hair fine noodles are dropped into your soup.  An art form in itself.  Skip that value meal and try this place for lunch or dinner.

Le Bec Fin is a 5 star restaurant and so is Nanzhou.  How, you may ask, is the epitomy of classic french food served by a team of staff beckoning to your every whim in a beautiful silk parlor the same as a cheap hole in the wall with neon in the windows and where you'll probably have to sit with some strangers because they have no room?  Because they both are exactly what they're supposed to be at their best.  Nanzhou is quick, cheap, bare bones, and delicious.  In and out in 15 minutes and completely satisfied.  What more could you ask for??

It's been a while since I've seen you, Nanzhou. Don't worry, I did not forget about you.

Everytime I want some soup with noodles or filling asian food, I think of you. All I can think about is savoring those hand-stretched noodles that seem to never end as I slurp them up. Those noodles you've got are hard to catch with those chopsticks, which may be difficult for novices like me, but I hope I can learn. And I miss the soup that is warm and not overbearing.

Such a great deal. Such a big bowl. Such a low price. I miss you, Nanzhou. Hopefully see you soon!

Its a nice small shop on Race between 9th and 10th St. It has a nice family feel, including a young gentleman who greeted me at the door before toddling off to his mother.

I ordered the beef brisket bowl of noodles. My server gave me a small pot of piping hot green tea which I sipped as I waited. I didn't wait long, as the noodles were out in a flash. I was presented with a huge bowl of steaming noodles with vegetables and big chunks of beef. The beef was very tender and tasty. The vegetables were likewise very fresh and tasty. The noodles were really good as well. All in all very enjoyable. I'll be back.

I visited this restaurant today because of all the rave reviews I have seen here on Yelp.  And like the many before me have mentioned, the decor at the shop isn't exactly eye catching. But for a quick bite it doesn't really matter.

I got the beef brisket with a marinated egg for $6.15 and most of their noodle dishes fall in the 4-6 dollar range. Although the noodles were good and had a good amount of beef brisket and a variety of vegetables in it, it also had a lil bit more msg than I would have liked. My mouth was crazy dry afterwards.

Also after speaking with some of my friends that live in the area, it seems that the store doesn't do any hand drawing anymore. Supposedly they just use a machine now. I'm not sure because I only been there once and I didn't see any noodle drawing action, but who knows maybe the noodle drawing cook had a day off.

EDIT 6/17/09

I guess the last time I went the noodle drawing guy must have been off or something because this time around, i saw all the noodle drawing goodness in front of me. I also got the pork soy sauce noodles instead of the beef brisket because the msg in the broth really dried out my mouth last time. The pork soy sauce noodles are soooooo good that it bumped my overall rating of this place up another star.

Literally the best noodle I've ever had in the US and I've been to many places(Seattle, LA, SF, NYC to name a few). Well there's a caveat, the place is really a hole in the wall. Sometimes if you sit close to the entrance, the wind blows at you you when people open up the door and it's so dang annoying esp when you're still enjoying your hot chewy noodle soup. So always sit deep inside.

But if you don't mind eating in hole in the wall, you'd find nanzhou has everything that you want from a restaurant. Fast service, cheap ($3-4 dish, wth!!), amazingly delicious.

When I was in philly, being a student on a tight budget, I'd often go to nanzhou and ordered a plain noodle (the cheapest one) with 2 extra boiled egg + 1 fried egg. If I'm hungry I can get an extra serving of noodle (that means an extra bowl) for $1. The cheapest and most delish grub ever known to man.

Nan Zhou is a small venue, and their menu is even smaller. Their cooking packs a mean punch, though! Ow!

My (rather hefty) bowl of duck noodles were delish (and inexpensive, setting me back only $5.50), and adding a little spicy sesame oil made them even better. Tender pieces of duck, can't beat that. A friend saavy in Chinese cuisine ordered a plate of spicy (and how!) tendons as a side to share, some of the best I've had in recent memory. Yum. The server conned me into getting a fried egg added to my dish, and that was the best mistake I made all day, as it added some welcome texture (and a surprisingly yolky fun taste) to my lunch.

Recommended for a visit, and then some.
