I was trying to find a nice boutique to find a unique dress for my friend's wedding and I'm glad I went here! Yeah so it's BCBG but so what? On sale for 50 bucks and fits right all in the right places? SOLD!! I also fell in love with these gorgeous shoes by Shoes for Lovely People (cute already right?) but they were $135 and I was able to find the exact same ones, in brand new condition, on ebay for $75. I liked other things but I really didn't have the funds at the time. I'll be back after I get my paycheck for sure.
Some people don't like having a sales person breathing down their neck or following them around the store eyeing where they place their hands (ok, so I think this is all of us). Other people don't like having sales people who are too eager, who ask "are you finding everything ok today?" or "can I help you find anything?" too often. (There may be a good number of people who dislike this).
When I visited Nalej, the sales person didn't look at me like I was about to shoplift or pop up in my face too ready to help me -- actually, she never even looked at me or acknowledged my presence. It's not like I'm asking for the world, all I ask for when I walk into a store is a "hi," a "hello," or even an unenthusiastic head nod would do.
This put a damper on my perusal of the store, but I will say they have a nice selection of dresses, with an especially cute collection of Hype dresses. They ranged from $80-$300.
Now, if I'm going to drop $300 on a dress, I'm sure not going to buy it from some snooty tooty sales person!

I never leave this store empty handed.... they always have cute stuff here!
They carry brands such as...
- Kensie & KensieGirl
- BCBG
- Tulle
- Citizens of Humanity
...and plenty others that I can't think of on the top of my head.
Plus, they sell some dope mens wear.
Really cute store connected to my hair salon, Salon Blu.
I loved the items they chose to display and the whole urban artsy look, however they didn't have many sizes and and could beef up some additional stock to really make it worthy to trek your way there to shop for some clothes.

Sexy in San Jose!
This store is so cool and trendy! The decor is clean and urban with exposed beams which give a warehouse vibe to the space. The clothing selection is great and unique! I found a pair of Citizens here that I couldn't track down anywhere else. The service is good too.
I definitely recommend this to girls and guys who are looking for chic clothing at a good price.
All week on my way home from work I have been eyeing the sale rack outside of Nalej. Today I finally gave in and stopped. It seems that there should be more great items here but there are few. The good thing about Nalej is that what is there is unique and not overpriced. Even better are their sales. They have nice accessories and tops. Although I have only been here twice I'm gonna say it's pretty hit or miss but it is worth checking out.

Nice little boutique that I found on Yelp. Although it was about 6 months ago that I visited, I still remember that the salespeople were friendly without being overbearing. I got a pair of Kasil trouser cut jeans at this store and I love them. They definitely have some unique brands that you cannot find at the mall..I can't remember the specific brands, but the salesgirl told me that several of the pieces were one-of-a-kind.
If you are looking for something that's a little different than the usual stores, you should check Nalej out. They also have another location in Palo Alto. Prices are moderate to pricey, but they did have a sales rack when I visited.
Pronounced knowledge, Nalej is a fabulous little boutique near Santa Clara University. I literally pass by or in this place about once month (every time I visit my aesthetician Christina over at Salon Blu).
They offer designs from local designers so you know you can find one of a kind pieces. They also sell trendy in style clothing from well known retailers as well. The pricing is pretty fair to boutique prices. However, it's hard for me to shell out $80 on a top when I know I've seen it in the Fashion district in LA for $25.
They do have some great deals though. I bought this exclusive top from a local designer out in Los Gatos on sale for $40 (originally $90).
So impart some Nalej on your self, you'll end up with a smart look :oP
I like this store a lot and its really close to my house definitly check it out! I bought a pair of kasil jeans from here, I know this is my new place to buy jeans at really reasonable prices too...they have a lot of other unique cute things too alisha helped me and she is very sweet!

Clearly the South Bay isn't known for its mark in fashion. So when you're looking for that special little boutique in the South Bay and can only think of places in San Francisco or LA, check out Nalej. Cute little clothing boutique with great pieces of clothing that you don't tend to find elsewhere in the area. Whenever I'm looking for that unique and special outfit to make a statement during my night on the town, I know I'll find it a Nalej. The owner, Roselle, is the sweetest girl!

Never Open! I have tried to go here so many times but I have to say they have THE worst hours ever!
Great store with unique pieces. You'd expect to find this place on Haight, but what's better is that it's only in Santa Clara, saving me the long drive! Support your local boutique! Make an afternoon of it- grab a coffee at Mission City, get your hair done at Salon Blu, grab a super cute outfit from Nalej, and then your nails done at Le JJ Belle. You'll be ready for a night out on the town...
