This place has become my usual nail place to go to.  I love the delightful ambiance.  Ever since my first visit, not only has the overall service lived up to five stars, but it also only gets better.

I like the callus scrub, it makes me feel like I have brand new heels haha!!  I also tried the eye-lash extension here for the very first time!  Emily did a wonderful job, I mentioned to her that I was flying home for winter break the next morning and she added extra lashes to make them thicker just in case some fall out when I was back home.  They turned out nice and natural - I got a lot of compliments.  :)

You have to meet Emily, she is the sweetest - she makes sure that you and her are BOTH satisfied with the manicure/pedicure, otherwise, she'd have them done again or until they are approved by her.   And once you meet her, you just find yourself keep coming back to her, not only because she'd soon become your friend, but also because you KNOW you would leave the store with a satisfactory feeling of spending every dollar during every single visit.

So I have been searching near and far for a decent and well-rated japanese nail art location where I could get my nails done up for a special occasion. After I couldn't make my appointment at my original choice at Hime Nails in Tustin, who is open inconveniently only four days out of the week and I couldn't get an appointment with the very booked Marie Nails in LA, I decided to check this place out.

For what I got, it wasn't too shabby. I must say I am very happy with the end result and paid a lot less than I had saved up for. Hime nails estimated to be over $120, and I only paid $80 at Nail's Service. One of the guys did by cal gel and I love it because it feels so natural. It doesn't feel like acrylics where i can't even feel the tips of my nails when i scratch or wash my hair, but with these, I can and that's a plus for me =] other than that, Amy had done my choice of design: bows and they're absolutely cute! (I posted a picture!) It took me 2.5 hrs to do my hands though. The only thing I can complain about is how one other customer had taken away Amy from me right when she was about to do my designs and I assume it's because she's a constant customer and wanted to stay loyal to her, but I got a little irritated at that.

All in all, I am a very happy customer and I hope it stays for at least 2-3 weeks because I did get the extra gel to keep it on! I say: go and enjoy the clean and chill ambiance of the place and if you love Little Tokyo as much as you do, then you'll love and appreciate the location of this boutique as well.

When I still got fake nails, this was the only place I'd go.  For a set or a fill, it's very reasonably-priced and everyone there is incredibly good at what they do.  In addition to traditional colors, they also have an amazing selection of crazy colors and glitter that I haven't found anywhere else nearby.  Once, I got emerald green glitter and got so many compliments.  Be advised, the fancy stuff does cost extra and, since nowhere else in the area has it, you're pretty much stuck going back there for your fills until you decide to take them off.  But, like I said, this place is great, so you won't mind having to come back.

In addition to acrylics, they also do regular manicures and pedicures (also good) and a wide variety of spa services.  I've never had a facial or wax there myself, but all of the women coming out of the treatment rooms look great.  Emily, the owner, is very friendly, as are the rest of the staff.  And everything seems incredibly clean and organized.  The first few times I went there, they took credit cards, but the couple of times, it was cash only.  They have an ATM in the store, but save yourself the fee and get cash before you come.  Parking is a little iffy, but they do validations for a nearby lot.

This is place is great!  My co-workers and I always make sure to make appointments when we go during our lunch break, because this place gets PACKED!

They are very quick and efficient with their mani/pedis.  They have many techs on-hand. They are very clean and sanitize everything.  They are great with nail designs!  You can't ask for more than this

I've been coming here for at least two years now, maybe longer. Never disappoints, no matter who does my many and pedi. Love sitting in the big massage chairs, and they let you sit there while your toes are drying unless they super super busy (and if you have to move, they are very polite about it). They have lots of colors, but I usually just get my fingernails buffed - I'm clumsy :) The pedi stays true for a long time. As the other reviewer said, they stay open late for me (happened a couple times) if I walk in shortly before closing. The owner, Emily, is a sweetheart. Once I told her that I had to clean my bathroom after the manicure, and she gave me some gloves :) Going again this sunday, they have awesome extended hours!

This place is located in Jtown and it's very close to my apartment so it's great when I need my weekly mani and pedi and can't make it to Beverly Hills.

I love how neat and precise their french tips are and I love that they use the brush for a more precise line!

But the manicure ends up chipping really fast and an additional $10 per hand/feet for french makes me a bit hesitant to go in for my weekly nails.

I came here for just a pedicure for the first time right before christmas...so it's been about a month and no chipping practically. that's pretty impressive, as i'm constantly stubbing my toes on something. yet everytime i looked down, the polish was intact, and shiny too! :)

a couple disappointments were that it was cash only when i went and they don't do a parafin wax dip, like jackie's nails on fairfax does...who's like $5 cheaper, and jackie's gives you a back massage while your nails dry. so it's like less bang for more buck...however, there's no chipping until your nails grow out. so it's still worth it not to drive the extra way to jackie's now that i've relocated. oh, but i heard they use organic lotion here, too, so that's awesome.

Very convenient location if you work near the civic center or Little Tokyo. It's super clean and the staff is very friendly.  I had a spa mani and pedi that was absolutely perfect and I wasn't there for hours.  The owner is very amicable and even printed out and distributed an article she found on http://Health.com to give to her clients.  I had a very relaxing afternoon and left looking fabulous. Thanks, Nail Service.

They do accept credit cards, although it is not listed as so on their Yelp profile. So don't be scared of by the threat of haviing to pay cash.

Great prices, great selection of colors and they always seem to fit you in without too long of a wait.  The technicians are professional and do a great job.  My $20 pedi is a bargain.  The only downside is driving around looking for parking on a busy weekend day.  You'll most likely have to park in a pay lot in the Little Tokyo Shopping Center.

I love that i've found a nail place close to home downtown.

They stay open until 7:30 during the week, which allows me to still make it in time after rushing out of work.

They accept credit cards, but only accept cash tips, so remember to bring a little green with you.

My girlfriend and I had the most awful experience here.  I trusted the good reviews on this site, and I also felt confident about getting French gel manicures at a salon that was very clean and professional.

However, as soon as both of us left the salon, we looked at each other and I said, "That was the worst manicure I have *ever* gotten!" While she had gel piled underneath her nails as well as on top, I had a French manicure design that made my nails look short and stubby, and my actual nails were filed down in the most preposterous angle. (I asked for a rounded shape, and my nails were filed down so that they look like half-hexagons.)  As I look at my nails now, a week later, almost half of my nails have hangnails- which definitely were not there before.  We both immediately went to another nail salon to get our nails fixed, as they were actually hurting.  All of my friend's cuticles were cut off and her skin was raw around the nail, and I had plastic gel piled around my nail and skin.  It was unbelievable to think that we paid $60 for these disasters.

Both of us got our manicures done by the only two men working in the salon while we were there, one of whom was named Keith (I forget the other name).  My friend noticed that the woman working next to her did a much better job.  Therefore, you might want to request a woman to do your nails.  The salon was very busy while we were there (but the rush was handled professionally) and I noticed many regulars.   Overall, we had a horrifying experience, but I recognize this incident could have been averted had we had different manicurists.

My year-long term of working in Downtown is almost over, and only last week did I discover that there's a place within walking distance where I can get a pedicure during my lunch hour.  Dang.  If only I had thought to try this sooner.

Nail Service is the type of nail place I think everyone wants, but is so hard to find: reasonably priced, very clean, do a great job on your nails, offer fancy stuff like exfoliating treatments and massages but don't try to push them on you, gossip in English so you don't have to sit there wondering what horrible things they're saying about your funky toes, have a good selection of quality nail polish, and are friendly and accommodating.  I wish I wasn't leaving my Downtown job in a few weeks; getting pedicures here during my lunch hour could've been my every-couple-of-weeks routine.  Oh well.  I'll just have to enjoy the one or two I can squeeze in before I move down to Orange County and have to resume my hunt for a good, clean, reasonably priced nail salon.

(Note: I'm strictly a pedicure gal, so I can't speak to the quality of waxing or acrylic nails or whatever.  But the pedicures are top notch.)

The lady I had was horrible. The service was extremely rushed, and the lady was very rude. And there wasn't even anyone waiting after me, and it was not close to closing time either!

I had made an appointment, which was not honored at all. I was expecting decent service considering all the reviews from Yelp but I am sad to say I will not be returning, ever. I've had much better service at unknown, unrecognized nail salons than here.

Also, it wasn't cool that I could understand the nail ladies speaking un-nice things about the customer next to me (they were saying stuff about her being so big and lazy for not wanting to relocate seats after her service had already started). I definitely do not recommend this place to anyone...

Great service, Made an appointment and I live 7 minutes away so I made one last minute and there was availability. They have a parking garage behind their building and they will validate. Must spend at least $20.00 though in the salon, which if you get a mani and pedi it shouldn't be a problem. My pedicurist name was Diane and she did an impeccable job, she was very thorough, and did a perfect french pedicure line. I didn't get the name of my manicurist but she was an older lady that also did a great job. The salon is a great find and although from the outside it looks small the nice is very well decorated, clean and organize. I saw the girls sterilizing the pedicure tubs after every pedicure and always opening a fresh package of manicure/pedicure tools. Definitely worth it to go back again.

I've had my nails done quite a bit, but never acrylics. Nail Service was pretty pricey but COMPLETELY worth it. Quite gentle compared to the other places.

VERY smooth nails. Like a baby's butt... on my nails.

They also have 3d designs, like ribbons and sakura petals. Then, they not only have hundreds of rhinestones, but PEARLS and bullions. F-A-N-TASTIC to dazzle your friends and your mom. :)

I just started getting pink and white gel nails and they are much better than acrylic nails.  They look very pretty and natural, plus it requires less drilling.  I learned the hard way that you need to get fills more frequently than acrylic, but they are healthier for your nails and maintain that beautiful shiny finish.  Come here for gel nails, you won't be disappointed!

I have used this place at least 5 times and I have had a great experience every time.  The staff is so friendly, after the first time they remembered me called me by name.  I have had a both pedi and mani from different person each time.  The service was excellent.  having come from outside   LA 6 months ago I was impressed with the steps they took for sanitation.  Each set of instruments are disinfected using medical grade heat seal packaging.  I have also seen them meticulously cleaning spa chairs after each use.  BTW - credit cards accepted for service but not tips

Go to J-town for the day, get a Pinkberry yogurt and go get your nails done - the perfect Saturday afternoon.

best place to go in DTLA, hands down.  the staff is awesome and professional, the place has great ambiance, and they have a good selection of OPI and other nail polishes to choose from.  they have massage chairs, do a great job, and give the best massages.  one thing i really appreciate is that they will stay open and do your nails if you walk in at the last minute, and they've stayed open late for me many times!  the girls are great, try to call in advance because they do tend to get pretty busy.  reasonable prices for a nail place, a good job, only complaint is that parking kinda sucks-- but they do validate in the space behind the store.  again, the only place to go in DTLA!

I love this new addition to Little Tokyo. To date, I had to travel to Burbank, West Hollywood or on the westside to get to a nail salon that offered the right services, the right polishes and a place pleasant to spend the next hour in.

Nail Service meets all of those criteria and more - enjoy brand new massage chairs while your feet soak and you have a cup of yummy fresh brewed tea. Choose from a menu of services that feature paraffin wraps, delicious scrubs - and the polish selection is comprehensive for all tastes. Service is very friendly and they care about the quality. Go ahead, try it - you wont be disappointed.

Near a Starbucks and the new Marukai market, this is a great place to chill and then get your errands done.

I was mostly happy with the french pedi I got here - they are definitely sanitary, and the chairs are very comfortable.  She did a good job, except I didn't love the flower I got.  I once got this amazing flower somewhere on the west side and it has now become the flower I compare all others too. Also, I wouldn't recommend the additional "mini spa" treatment where they massage your calves, etc. - wasn't really worth the extra.  Lastly, be warned that parking can be a nightmare - but that's downtown for ya.  They are reasonably priced, use good polish and offer a variety of services.

After seeing all these great reviews on this place, I was very excited to try it out. I went couple Fridays ago after work around 6:30. I went with 2 of my friends and we had scheduled appointments for pedicures ahead of time. Luckily we got dropped off so we didn't have to bother with the parking situation. We went in and we told them we had appointments at 6:30. They told us to go pick our colors. So we did and waited. Finally one lady led us towards the back to the last two massaging chairs that were open. I sat down at the last one and one of my friends sat next to me. Right away, the lady started on my friend's pedicure. She did not even let her feet soak. Luckily, my person wasn't ready yet  (still working on someone else) so I had time to soak my feet. The quality of the pedicure was so-so. Not that great. I expected a lot more for a $20 pedicure because for $20 I can get similar service (probably even better) in Monterey Park for BOTH manicure and pedicure!

The reason why I gave the place 1 star is mainly because of my friends' experience. The lady that did my friend's pedicure RUSHED through the pedicure then made her get off the seat right away so she can start on my other friend. I was probably only halfway done when she started on my other friend and ended rushing through that as well. We were probably there for less than 45 minutes and 10-15 minutes of that time was spent waiting to be seated. OH and another thing, the person NEXT to us was sitting there the entire time we were there and she wasn't even getting a manicure!!!

This is not your typical nail spa. They really take their time (and charge you for it). Your nails will look perfect, but don't expect to be able to squeeze it in during your lunch hour. The reason I gave four starts instead of five... well, I suppose it's purely a matter of shock at the prices and the duration.
