i have been their many times before and have always just dine in not doing the buffet.
dinning in the chicken tikka Marsala was good, how ever not as much chicken as i hope for, the Naan their is just fine, i have always gotten nice and fresh and not burned and big slices too.
i have been their at buffet time, it was a decent i got to try more styles of Indian food and it was only $10 bucks so I'm not going to complain over that
Solid 3* Indian restaurant for drunk munchies. I've yet to try this place sober since the only times I've came here were after drinking with coworkers. The buffet was definitely not as good as it used to be a couple months ago during the remodel (maybe cause they only had the buffet to focus on).
Important note: they no longer allow you to BYOB due to a crackdown in October!! My group snuck it in anyways and drank out of tea cups, but we did get yelled at and warned sternly by the owner that we risked getting citations by SFPD. We were beyond caring and everything turned out fine; who are they to turn down our money in this economy? ;)
The ratio of meat to curry is pretty crappy on the buffet, and they were slow to reload the tandoori chicken. On the plus side, the pieces I had were surprisingly good quality cuts of meat and seasoned quite nicely. Overall the food was on the spicier side (for a buffet at least), so be careful if you can't handle much. Naan was reloaded fairly consistently.
I've ordered off the menu in the past and my comments on that are pretty much the same as the buffet.
Overall this place would most definitely not be my first choice of Indian food in this neighborhood, but a solid choice past 11pm and if you've been drinking.
I walked past this place a few times before heading inside. I managed to peek in and see a buffet/counter style set-up and made a mental note to try it late one night as it is open 24 hours.
They have a constant buffet but I decided to order off the menu instead. Going with my usual... paneer tikka masala, rice and naan, I figured I couldn't go wrong.
My food was ready in a flash which tells me it was probably sitting around for a bit and was subject to a reheating. I didn't mind. The naan was soft and stuffed with spicy potatoes... I got the aloo variation. The paneer to tikka ratio was disappointing... leaving me longing for more cheese. I was able to make good use of the sauce though--thank you naan. Yum.
This place would probably be perfect for late night after-the-bar food.
I wanted to try Sultan but I walked through the door of Naan 'N' Curry. They are right next door to each other. The entire time I was "dining " at Naan 'N' Curry, I thought I was in Sultan. They both offer lunch buffets. Surroundings were grim, like a high school cafeteria but not as charming. The food? The hot food was cold ..the cold food was warm. Everything was mushy and similarly spiced. The naan was brittle and that's wrong. The whole time I am thinking evil thoughts about Sultan. The meal was so yuck that I'm off Indian food for a long time. I realized I was in Naan 'N' Curry when I looked at the credit card receipt hours later.
At 3am when you are inebriated, want food badly, and don't care about the calories you re going to consume right before you go to bed...go to naan n curry. The food is decent, but when the scenario is as described above, the food magically transforms itself to becoming fantastic! Don't forget to get a cup of chai before you head back home and pop a tylenol and chase it with pepto as a worthwhile preemptive measure...good times!
Perfect Way to SPOIL an evening in San Francisco.
Buffet Service is Crappy.
Owner has too much attitude & does not care for Customers.
Ask him for Buffer refills & he tells that it is coming. Food never comes at all. He asks you to wait 30 mins for an item.
Rather go hungry than go to this place again.
What in blazes happened?
Went in this Sunday and it was a complete shit-hole. Dessicated vegetables in watery curry ... green watermelon slices ... flaccid paranthas ... gallons of "tikka masala" gravy with only a handful of tough chicken pieces ...
This buffet has gone RIGHT down the shitter.
The guys at the front desk asked, "so, how was it?"
I replied, "it's gone downhill and the selection is less than it was before."
They then argued with me, trying to convince me that it was my imagination.
Oh and I don't want to get into too much detail but suffice to say this meal was followed by a gastrointestinal event.

I love this Naan & Curry location, and we actually stumbled upon it while walking toward Chutney.… Read more »
Best Indian food I've ever had. I've been desperately searching for a place that makes Baingan Bhartha like they do and nowhere to be found.
This location of the Naan 'N Curry franchise is not bad at all. When you are really hungry, it's actually quite phenomenal. They actually have a buffet that goes well into the night and their prices are not unreasonable especially if you need to eat unlimited quantities of food.
If it is before 11 PM and you are not in a hurry, then you absolutely must walk up the street to Lahore Karahi. if you absolutely must eat right now and you're quite hungry, the food here is actually quite serviceable. I used to order off the à la carte menu, but it seems silly to do so when the buffet had nearly everything on it. Even late at night, they are constantly switching out the buffet items and overall it is surprisingly clean but nonetheless is still a buffet.
Like many Pakistani restaurants in the city, they allow you to bring your own beer. This is worth its weight in gold if you and your friends want to drink beer. It's worth twice its weight in gold if you have the foresight to buy your beer before you leave because the liquor stores nearby are rather expensive.
To sum up: go to Lahore Karahi if you can. Go here if you are really hungry and need immediate gratification.
Take out was way better than eating their all-you-can-eat lunch buffet. I've gone here a few times, but you never receive anything more than half assed service and okay food.
Take Out Experience:
- Food was warm/hot even after bringing the food back to the office.
- Naan was soft and cripsy on the ends. Pretty good garlic and regular naan.
- Quick and out the door
Dining in experience during lunch on a weekday:
- The food I put on my plate from the buffet area was luke warm. Ew!
- The naan was cold and hard. Double Ew!!
If you want to know more~ read Jessie H.'s review. She's got a bit more to say than me since she had her final trip here the other day. You might laugh but you might also gag.
It was nice to see another one of these outside of Berkeley, but this location was seriously a mediocre journey. The cashier guy forgot to get my take-out order to the kitchen, and didn't seem to care. The chicken vindaloo however was flavorful -- and nuclear hot, as vindaloo should be!
In short, if you're willing to wait 15 minutes to get a really mediumish amount of curry and a naan for $12.50, then, well... this is the spot.
ya'll are expecting too much for a late night muchies place. had great samosas, garlic naan and kofta. just a quick snack before bar hopping, not fancy by any means. (the floor tiles needs to be redone, they ripped out the old without replacing it)
lots of locals, convenient
Either Naan N Curry has gone downhill or the Irving branch is way better.
Colleagues of mine from work and I had the lunch buffet here yesterday during our break from OpenWorld.
We all commented on how dirty the dishes and flatware were (some had flecks of food still on them). Also, the following were just plain bad:
- the bittermelon dish
- the chana masala
- the lamb
- the naan - soggy and tasteless
- the tandoori chicken
Only the rice and the chicken tikka masala were edible.
The chai was half-decent but the desserts were uniformly pathetic. The halwa was unappetizing, the gulab jamun was sad and the kheer tasted like slightly milky but thick porridge.
For $5 my colleagues (three of whom were Indian) and I would have regarded this place as mediocre (3 stars) but for $10? 1 star. Thank goodness most of the dishes were spicy. The turmeric and other spices probably helped kill some of the bacteria.
I came here at the end of an epic night. My big Sikh friend suggested we come here after last call to meet some other Indian friends of his. I'd never heard of this place but thought to myself "all right I'm being taken to the real stuff by people that know where to find it!" I was surprised to find out that this is neither "the real stuff" nor very good, in fact the group I was with were the only Indians in the place.
Naan N Curry is a 24-hour Indian Buffett. If you came here at 6:00 PM you'd find the food disappointingly mediocre but at 3:00 AM it's awesome.
Accept it for what it is.
Found a roach.
Dude gave us our lunch for free. Which was nice, but then he totally ruined it by saying, "Yeah, got your lunch for free! Lucky day!"
Um. Finding a roach and getting my lunch for free does not equate to "lucky day" for me. It's not like I won the f'ing lotto here.

Just like what Yelp says, this place is A-OK. But for $9.95 lunch buffet, where I got to eat myself… Read more »
Hit the lunchtime buffet, thought it was great !
Something about this place really bothers me. The Irving and Van ness locations don't bother me as much but yeah. I think it is because the staff is slow to remove the dirty dishes around the restaurant and the decor is so drab and depressing. Plus the cashier boldly proclaimed "I like you" to my friend when we were walking out. AWKWARD.
Anyways, about the food. My friend and I went on a Thursday night and found that they got rid of their regular menu and only had buffet. I got a plate full of Chicken Tikka Marsala, Daal (lentils), and another stew with Garbanzo Beans. I would have to say that the best thing was the Tikka Marsala. I would recommend just getting a plate full of that, rice, and the onion naan. They had this orange mushy thing that tasted sooooo weird. For $9.99 you do get your money's worth but I definitely like Sultan next door much better. They have a great lunch buffet for $12 or $15. :)
I was here with several fellow Yelpers like Jessie H. Seriously, a roach walked across the table and nearly into our friend's plate of food. Totally disgusting. They gave us free lunches for eight people, but it doesn't alleviate the disgustingness of seeing a roach.
We went back to work afterwards and I told another co-worker about this. She said the last time she was there, a plate of naan was brought out with a fried roach right on top. Yuck!
Went there the other night out of desperation. It was midnight, and I couldn't bear the thought of going through the Burger King drive-thru again. So I let down my guard and decided to give Naan N' Curry's buffet yet another chance.
I've gotta admit that the veggie dishes were edible, not greasy like last time. But the pieces of chicken in the tikka masala looked like little pieces of chewed gum, and they were completely dry. The masala was mainly yogurt with an inadequate amount of spice needed to complete the meal. Also, how in the world can the naan be COLD when it comes directly from the oven into a lamp-heated container? I'm just hoping it wasn't recycled from another diner's leftovers.
This place is truly, truly hideous, and seems to get worse with every visit.

Guess I didn't get the memo. Buffet only.
No problem. My hunger was beyond controllable after shopping so I was pretty excited about trying everything and stuffing myself with tandoori chicken, until. Until a group of Italian tourists sat next to us and brought over their plates sans the mountain of food. My heap of chicken bones and naan didn't look very health conscience compared to theirs! haha
After that, everything tasted so/so. I didn't get seconds of tandoori and the tikka masala tasted gamey. (I don't eat lamb) I am not sure what ruined my food high but I would rather eat at my favorite place on Haight from now on.
Wow. I have never walked out on a meal before, let alone Indian food, which I previously believed was in the category untouchable by the category "bad". I mean, I've had "just average" Indian food before. But never bad.
I suppose I should have heeded the cues: the too-printy sign above the door, the dinner buffet open at 10pm, the half-finished interior, THE FACT THAT YOU PAID IN FULL ON THE WAY IN.
Sorry, I didn't mean to yell. Yelp doesn't have italics. And seriously, you had to pay up front. Like a ticket in the door.
Food was miserable. Palak panner was spit-out crunchy, tomato-based sauces were thick like hummus, everything tasted canned. Nothing but long tables to sit at (like 40 people long). The place was filthy. And getting your own crapkins, fork, plate, drink... it was a mess.
I blame myself, despite it being 10pm and being hungry for someplace to sell me dinner on a Monday night. I should have listened to my gut. But if I'm giving myself one star for risking it, their one star is just as deserved.
I'm not kidding. I stood up and walked out after 3 bites. And immediately understood why they had me pay up front on the way in. I lost my ten dollars, but I saved my dignity.
I am fan not because this place offers anything special food wise. Their food is same to most other average restaurants in the city. The variety and offerings are the same.
I am fan because this place is open till late all days of the week to satisfy indian food urges in the middle of the week & indian food urges after drunken night outs. It is packed at the 2:30 - 3:30 in the morning, the service is good in the night, the taste doesn't deteriorate and its feeds hunger pangs. I wouldn't recommend this place for anytime other than late night.
The buffet isn't good and i wouldn't order it. Stick to chicken dishes and the fish curry.
Not the best, but dammit, it sure does satiate your late-night post-drinking munchies! The sweet chai tea, the garlic naan, the tikka masala, the lamb curry...oh, it all just hits the spot!
The interesting characters strolling in at 3:30am also keep things exciting! The most earth-shattering night? May 3, 2009 at 3:30am: a group of illiterate morons (men, of course) pick a fight with my boyfriend. My boyfriend tells them to calm the eff down. 1st guy sucker punches my boyfriend. Boyfriend laughs. Boyfriend grabs 1st guy in Muay Thai clinch and knees the living s*** out of the a-hole till his nose breaks and he loses a couple teeth and until 2nd guy sucker punches my boyfriend on the side of the head. Boyfriend sweeps him, gets him in guard, 2nd guy places hand on ground to posture-up (big mistake). Boyfriend grabs the arm in a nice, deep arm-bar. Snap! There goes his arm. Group of idiots run away, and the awesome guys at Naan N' Curry give us a menu and say we can eat there any time! Cool.
On a side-note, why would you ever mess with a BJJ brown-belt and MMA superstar? Well, I hope you dudes are okay!
This place is considered to be a college student's goldmine. Indian food at a low cost at a restaurant that is open 24 hours for someone with a serious case of munchies.
I admit that Naan 'N' Curry was never a perfect experience to begin with. The restaurant was always smokey from the kitchen but it was something a fiscally challenged student such as myself was willing to overlook. They usually keep their doors open and have a fan blowing out excess smoke. Sometimes the host weren't always in the best mood and if you ever wanted a second helping of the chai tea, you'd better think again. One of the managers once scolded my friend for getting a refill.
My best friend and I used to frequent this place until Naan 'N' Curry decided to serve everything as a buffet. The naan used to be steaming hot with a fluffy texture but during my recent visits there, they've been burnt and crispy. To avoid burnt naan, go for the alu naan (naan stuffed with shredded potatoes). Their Chicken Tikka Masala is usually the best item to order on the menu and almost always has the right consistency. I also recommend Lamb Vindaloo for those of you looking for some spice but I haven't been there recently to find out if it's available in the buffet area.
I've noticed that it's a hit or miss deal when it comes to a quality experience here. Another friend of mine for instance wound up getting sick after having Indian food here for the first (and last) time. I haven't had Indian food for quite some time but I guess if I had another craving, it would have to be at a different Indian restaurant.
However, if you're on a tight budget with a stomach of steel and do not possess high standards for food, then perhaps this is the place for you! XD
Well, I was in for a real nice surprise-no roaches crawled into my food!!
YES! Unlike unfortunate yelpers before me that have had that horrifying experience, I rather enjoyed my experience here. And it's open 24 hrs a day?! OMFGWTFBBQ. Where else can you fill your Indian curry cravings at 3:38 in the morning?
P.S.- their kitchen is under renovation so there's only the buffet which is $10.95 per person, tax included and without soft drinks
This restaurant never closes (open 24 hours) and is accessible for visitors staying at the nearby hotels in Union Square, including the Hilton which is located across the street.
There are buffet for lunch for $8.99 and dinner buffet (until 10pm) for $12.99. An ample venue with a large selections of dishes, sides and desserts selections in which makes this one of the bigger buffet places, but some of the foods have been sitting in the warmer for extended time. In which, the food may not be fresh and have a different taste. And the complimentary Chai-tea tasted diluted.
The utensils, dishes and the facility in general are filthy and nasty. Even worse, there is a parking lot next to the restaurant, therefore you can hear cars and inhale the toxic car-exhausts from your dining table.
The workers are friendly from my last visit, but they need to do a better job in cleaning the dishes and utensils. Nobody wants to know what I found in one of those supposedly clean dishes.

Matt and wife landed here after a soaking wet shopping spree in Union Square. This is our first time… Read more »
On Monday night, 6 of my coworkers and I went to Naan-N-Curry for lunch (lunch for us, anyway, midnight snack for you since it was around 1:30am). We were super excited because we like Indian food and we hadn't had any in a while, and we go to this restaurant because it's open 24 hours. The service that night was atrocious! It was so bad that's why I'm writing this review right now, and it totally canceled out the 5 so-so experiences I've had there previously.
When we got there, we started heading to the counter to order, but one of the 2 employees manning the register handed us menus and told us to stand way back. Not our usual reception, plus some of us already knew what we wanted, but we humored them and perused the menus for a couple of minutes. I walked up to the register, and though the cashier saw me, he didn't acknowledge my presence for at least a minute and kept fiddling with some money. But that wasn't too big a deal at the time. Little did I know it was just the beginning!
One of my coworkers has a high metabolism and a big appetite. Knowing the entrees are pretty skimpy, we recommended he get at least one more dish. When he went up to order, he said the two employees started speaking to each other in another language, maybe Hindi, and then started laughing like crazy and POINTED at him! So disrespectful!
Then all of our orders came out and neither of his dishes came! Instead, we had an extra dish none of us had ordered. Eventually he got both of his orders, but it took a lot of pestering and a lot of time. Another one of my coworkers had also gone back to order another appetizer, which did not arrive until he pestered them about it too.
After eating my lamb tikka masala and garlic naan, I felt a little hungry so me and one of my coworkers decided to split an order of samosas. Another pair wanted an order too, so I went up to order both. This is how the conversation went, which was really the last straw.
Me: I'd like 2 orders of samosas.
Cashier: Samosas [insert foreign word]
Me: Excuse me, what? (thinking I didn't hear him well enough)
Cashier: Samosas [foreign word]
Me: What? (now certain he was talking in another language, and my coworker was looking at me also totally confused)
Cashier: (laughing) It means no more samosas, like Michael Jackson is no more.
Me: Okaaaay. . . (thinking couldn't he just have told me that in English and skipped this stupid song and dance routine?)
[insert break while I discuss with my coworkers a substitute order]
Me: Alright, can I get 2 cheese-stuffed naans?
Cashier: [insert foreign sentence]
Me: Huh?
Cashier: You look pretty. (He and his coworker exchange looks and go off into peals of laughter)
Me: Um, thanks. (I am 99% certain that is not what whatever it is he said translated into, especially from his tone as he said both things and the ensuing reactions.)
The transaction went a little longer, but by then I was completely frustrated and pissed off. All of us were feeling pretty grumpy by then. You'd think they would be a lot nicer to a big group like us who were ordering lots of food and essentially providing a decent amount of business. Gggrrr. :op
In addition, a homeless person wandered in and started going from table to table. And to cap the night off, my coworker who drove got a parking ticket because we didn't notice the street-cleaning signs. Not totally restaurant-related, but had they given us our food faster instead of dicking around for so long, we would've been long gone before the ticket considering he got it like 2 minutes before we left.
All of my other experiences here have been on the weekend, and service was at least decent then. But as I said, this one incident eclipses the handful of so-so experiences. Maybe the guys who work on weekday nights are the only jerks. Maybe they're bitter at working graveyards, but then again, the rest of us were also working graveyards so I have no sympathy for that. :op
I've been going to the Jackson location for years so I was pleasantly surprised to see this location across from our hotel - open 24 hours to boot. So one evening I ran over to grab a late night snack.
I really don't know what to make of it. There are these guys working there that makes it feel like they're running some kind of hustle. The cashier was seriously distracted, wouldn't make eye contact. I paid and didn't get a number or a receipt. While I was waiting for the food, the thought of being swindled out of my $12 really went through my mind. How will I prove I paid? Of course I was paranoid and I got my food. But while I waited I checked out their buffet. It looked like a pig trough. It was messy and the food looked unappetizing. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like.
Ok, as for my order, 2 garlic naan and chicken tika masala. The naan was as good as I remembered. Warm, thick and garlicky. The masala was ok. The sauce was good for dipping the naan but the chicken was dry and tasteless.
So overall, an option to satisfy late night cravings. Otherwise, you probably can do without.
My friends and I visited here around 3:00am this past weekend. For me it was the first time, however for them it was not. The place was surprisingly packed with a long line out the door, but there was ample seating.
They have a good size menu with plenty of options. I ordred the lamb curry as I wanted to compare it to the lamb curry at Amber in Santa Row. This for me was way too spicy and reminded me of why my american (bi-racial) self does not do Indian!!!! The flavor wasn't bad, but I wasn't upset that I decided to take a few bites and not finish the rest. It only set me back about 7 bucks so it wasn't a big deal.
The infamous BIG fan that nearly blows you away while you wait in line is much needed!!! The aroma of the food is so overpowering that when I came across the jacket I wore that night I nearly gagged!!! I don't think even typical laundering will do!!! We'll see...
All in all the place is a cool hang out spot for late night after your done doing what it is that you do. He he
I would visit Nann 'N' Curry again and try something different next time.
The restaurant is a little on the shady side, to be sure. It's most definitely not one of the highest-class joints in town.
But I always stay at the Hilton across the street when I'm in town, and I'm a huge fan of stumbling across the street at midnight for a plate of lamb vindaloo and some kinda naan.
The service is questionable, and the food is not the best in the world, but it still somehow manages to be one of my favorites when it comes to Indian food.
Yeah, it seems dirty. Yes, the glass covering the food isn't always clean. And yes, you should think twice about coming here. The question is, why not?
You know something is shady when you have a huge fan blowing air out of the restaurant. In my opinion, I think it's a genius idea. It's not there to blow the flies and critters out, it's there to blow the smell of the all-you-can-eat-24-hour-curry out into the open air. It keeps the air, tender to say the least.
If you're on budget, $13 is a fucking amazing deal. Stock up on whatever you want. I found a secret today. The tandoori chicken hiding under all those grilled onions took me by surprise. In addition, the rice pudding in the corner is super tasty.
The dude who works there is a hustler, but knows his shit. I bought a all you can eat meal, and I pretty much had trouble walking home. It's never worth it the next morning, but it's always worth it, when you got a hot plate of basmati rice, covered in yellow-orange-goolash-of-indian-goodness.
Friends don't let friends talk shit on naan 'n' curry.
Couldn't sleep, so instead of going to Jack in the Crack, I decided to get some Indian. Not too shabby for 5am. the place was pretty full mostly with cab drivers.
standard food; chicken tika, Nan & rice is what I got.
I'm full, happy & about to hit the sack. It's Nice to have something other than fast food to eat when the mood strikes me.
4**** just for being open 24hrs.
I was here at 1 am with a belly full of chana masala and garlic naan.
Open late! Fun and full of life. Cheap and tasty. Big tables for large groups of people. Free chai and chilled water.
Good for late night spicy meals, easy on the wallet.
It took over four years and a trip out of Berkeley for me to finally experience Naan 'N' Curry. Was it worth the wait?
Definitely not. But it is nice to finally get some closure on the topic.
The rice was clumpy-- a fuck-up far more difficult to achieve with basmati rice than other grains. The chicken tikka masala was, rather than tangy or tart, downright sour. Chana masala boasted some great flavors with the exception of a pinch of salt that it lacked, but I would say that the garbanzo beans were too overcooked even for my liking. The mango lassi was smooth, milky, subtle and delicious but would have been far more refreshing in contrast had the curries carried more spice.
So the debate is closed: for Indian fare of this style I am not looking to betray House of Curries in the future.
Tonite was a real treat. It was $9.99 for buffet and will be for the next four weeks. Im sad because I feel like I wasted more food than I ate. The food was fresh and hot. I felt like eating fruit when I saw the fruit so I mostly ate fruit with some rice pudding. I drank chai. I ate chana masala and basmati rice, but I didnt eat naan because I am gluten free. They had the expensive naan out at the buffet, the kind with garlic and butter.
The buffet was huge with extensive colors and flavors. I loved it inside naan n curry, felt like i was inside an indian person's home.
So one day I came here for lunch and they tell me it's one price for the lunch buffet. Two days later, I get quoted a different price. Granted, I understand the whole idea of supply and demand, but geez guys, can't you just settle on a single price where I don't feel like I'm getting shafted just because I felt like coming on a "busy" day?
The only good thing about this one is that a) its open late & b) its got a all you can eat lunch buffet. Granted, it is much like Pete F. says "I checked out their buffet. It looked like a pig trough." but when you're got a craving for chicken tikka masala, it's the only way to do it...or so I'm told.
I much prefer the one in North Beach on Jackson or the one out in the Sunset district on Irving. This location is more of a last resort for me.
I'm torn about the stars for this review. I want to give 1 star for the highest sodium content on the planet but 4 stars for the high yum factor. And yet I cast doubt upon the yum because salt can so beguile one to fall in love with mediocre food. Well, I settle with 2 stars and share some more of my experience at Naan 'N' Curry.
They were remodeling the kitchen or something the night my pardner and I dropped in for a late dinner, so buffet was all they were offering. It cost us about $10 each. I loved that there was a ton of variety. I'm veggie plus seafood, so I typically won't eat a lot of the entrees offered on an Indian buffet, but they had about 10 vegetarian dishes. I mounded up my plate like a good American and, as I mentioned above, found it all to be delicious. There were curries of chickpeas, cauliflower, spinach, tikka masala, and lentils. But one potato curry in particular tasted like the sous chef knocked over the salt bucket and was too embarrassed to tell anyone so it got served. Oops.
I forgot to try the naan. My bad.
Naan and curry any time of the night. How can you beat that? Sure, you can get better stuff at prime time but that doesn't matter when it's late.
The menu says 24 hours but it is not. They close at 4am.
After a tiring day of wine tasting, we crashed at the Hilton across the street. We saw this place driving up, and joked that we would eat there for late night...and then we actually did.
For something CRAZY cheap, like less than 20 bucks, 6 people ate the perfect midnight meal. We ordered a bunch of naan, chicken tikki masala, spicy lamb, and basmati rice.
The naan is awesome. The garlic and alu naan were the favorites. The chicken is pretty dry but the tikki masala sauce is awesome to dip in. The lamb doesn't taste gamey and is quite good. It's also very spicy.
It's not the greatest, but the naan and curry are pretty yummy for late night! This place packs up after the clubs close as well.
Alright, really? This chain actually seems to have a lot of fans, and frankly I don't get it. When I roll out of a club pretty sloshed looking for some grub at 3am, I am no choosy eater...
2 stars SOLELY for being open to give my group a place to eat after the club closed down...on the real though, I'm no Indian food connoisseur, but I'm PRETTY SURE Chicken Tikka Masala is not supposed to taste like Spaghettios. Just a guess...
The naan was also pretty mediocre. Little flavor to it and it was super dry/not doughy. It had a matzoh-esque feel to it...Haha I don't think I've ever ripped such a big a-hole to a drunk munchie spot before--I'm very easy to please foodwise that late at night!
Seriously, keep on walking. Epic fail, Naan'N'Curry; you effed up on both your naan and your curry...Keep trekking to a different drunchie mecca, unless you are craving some chef-boy-r-dee and naan.
