Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort At Grande Dunes
2 reviews for Myrtle Beach Marriott Resort At Grande Dunes
Wow. I didn't even STAY here and I've got to give this place the famous "Mark's 5 Star's of Approval!" What? You've never heard of M5SOA? Well, it's just now catching on, slightly less well known than that sham diamond thing...
But I digress. We were here for an industry conference and the Dunes knows how to host them a show! Normally, you expect blase, if not awful food at a conference, after all, they're making enough for 750 people! But this was pretty darned good!
Our company (Apple, best company on earth... just so you know...) hosted a private reception/round table event and the food for that was even better! Very impressed.
I went up to one of my colleague's rooms when he was checking out and they were very nice as well.
The best thing is the pool deck. You've got to see it. 3 gorgeous pools with amazing landscaping. We sat on the bar deck overlooking the pools and were just drinking in the scenery, as the pool decks ended at the beach and ocean. Wow. The fam would have loved it!
If we ever come back to MB, we WILL be staying here!

My company stayed here on business last year, and by the end of the week, I didn't want to leave! Upon your arrival, you don't feel like you are in South Carolina anymore. Suddenly, you're transported to a tropical resort in perhaps... the Bahamas?
The location is perfect, since it is pretty secluded and set back off of route 17. It also sits right on the beach, so it's easy to just grab a towel and sunscreen, and head out to the ocean. The pools are gorgeous, too. There are tons of wooden loungers to lay on, and hammocks to take an afternoon nap.
One of my favorite things about this hotel is the spa. I was fortunate enough to indulge in a pedicure during my stay, and the experience of the spa was wonderful. You also have access to their fancy locker room and sauna when you get a spa service.
It's the little things that make me happy, and the fact that they serve lemonade with sliced fruit in it during afternoons in the lobby is a nice touch.
This is a beautiful and decadent vacation spot, and great for families. I loved it!
