This place is comfort dining at its best for me.  Whether I get a gyro, a cheeseburger, or one of their daily specials, I am never disappointed.  This place has a lot of variety in their menu but I always stick to my guns and go with something that is heavy with red meat and this strategy never fails!

I had their lamb shank special once and I still have pleasant dreams about it now and again...

Was greeted less than welcomed. Ordered a burger that was not cooked thoroughly and the aroma turned me off and had to throw after a few bites. Coffee tastes like it is thinned with more water than adequate blend. The restaraunt is very clean however and attractive. Bad experience twice-No more

Wandered over to Mykonos today since a friend of mine is staying in the Plaza Hotel right next door, and we were in search of one thing: Breakfast. A really solid breakfast.

This place is for low-maintenance folks and you shouldn't expect anything fancy. For lunch, they have a wide selection of gyros, gyro salads and plates, and other Greek fare. Lucky for us, they also make some more than decent breakfast nosh! After considering the strawberry short stack, I went the salty route with a breakfast sandwich on a bagel, complete with eggs, cheese, and bacon. It was served up with a side of hash browns (extra $, but no big) and it definitely filled that breakfast void for me. You order at the register and they bring it on over to ya when it's ready.

I wish I could speak more to the Greek side of the menu, but at least I can tell you that Mykonos is a super easy breakfast spot. And that's good enough, right?

Over a decade ago, when I lived in Milwaukee, in the neighborhood of Mykonos, this was a favorite place. It was perfect after bar and fabulous for brunchtime. I recently revisited with my old bar-hopping friend. It's still great! Mykonos has the best veggie mousakka I've had. Fluffy, light and not stuffed with random vegetables. It has eggplant and potatoes and a very good bechamel, as it should be. The garlic potato side dish is also just as good as I'd remembered. The sagnaki was good (what's not to like), although the bread was just okay. I had a glass of greek wine with my meal that was fine, not spectacular. It looks like very little has changed in the past ten years. The menu may have more choices now. The service was friendly and warm. The decor is much the same, but well-maintained. Love it!

I live a couple blocks from this place and their food is alright. Their gyros aren't something to write home about, but are decent and their fish sandwich is kind of bland, though fresh and juicy. I highly recommend NOT trying their clam chowder since it is overly thick and salty.

On a more positive note, their corned beef hash is great and their Ruben corned beef is damn juicy. The Ruben horseradish sauce on the side doesn't hurt either - Basically, it's so strong that it wafts through your nose.

In general, they're good, friendly people and it's a nice place to get some good old fashioned diner breakfast or a breakfast sandwich.

Mykonos is really a place for drunk food at bar o'clock and I am one person who respects that! I don't go to Mykonos expecting the world in terms of service and quality, but I go with the desire to absorb the excessive amounts of alcohol in my body.

It's not the healthiest fare, but it's warm, greasy and delicious... especially at 2am.

I don't go to Mykonos every night after the bars, but when I don't, I generally lay in bed wishing I did.

Mykonos is also great because everybody else embraces it's bar o'clock strengths. People there at 2am know how to have fun! I've had dance offs in line and witnessed a pushup contest on the sidewalk out front. Go there with a good attitude and an open mind!

I recommend Gyros and French Fries.

I know it's a Gyro spot, but for me, it's all about their Ruben.  Rye bread, delicious corned beef, swish cheese, sauerkraut & 1000 island if you want.  Add some fries to this calorie counter nightmare and you have one tasty meal.

It's family owned.  The staff are very friendly and even bring your food out to you if you eat in - old school.  They have only 1 TV and it's usually on CNN but hey you can learn a thing or two while eating your meal.

Mykonos has some excellent desserts as well. A variety of cakes, pies, muffins, etc. Not to mention, they serve beer.  It really is close to being a one-stop shop.

This place is open until like 4 in the morning on the weekends.  You gotta love that, a place you can count on when the bars close.  I highly recommend checking it out.

Great little find with quite the menu consisting lots of different greek and American choices.  I had the gyro which was good, but the pita could have been better.  Only they made up for it with some very tasty baklava!

I love Mykonos! They have tremendous American style breakfasts before 11, and great Greek food for lunch and dinner. I love the Athenian chicken, the bird is so savory and has a delicious marinade over the crisp skin. While not a Greek dish, they do make a pretty great hamburger as well. This is one of my favorite take out places in the city.

Mykonos serves pretty good Greek and Mediterranean food. A bit more expensive than a place like Oakland Gyros but the food is of better quality, the ambiance is nicer and the menu has a wider selection. Their gyros and other souvlaki are delicious but I'm also a big fan of their dolmades and greek salad.

Best gyro I have ever had!! The meat was seared nicely, and the pita was homemade with the taste of the grill lingering. I must mention that their homemade tzatziki sauce is in a squeeze bottle. I hate having to order an extra side of sauce, but that isn't necessary at Mykonos. LOVED this place!

I love this little greek place right by my boyfriend's apartment! The lunch combo with Chicken Shishkabob is delicious- especially because of the awesome Tzatziki sauce. There is always a ton of chicken in it too- more than I can even finish sometimes. The patio is mostly covered and a great place to sit outside and eat. And the people working there are so friendly-- I mentioned that their homemade baklava looked really good and when my order came out they brought out a free piece for me to try.. it was absolutely delicious!

this place opens til 4 in the morning..so you bet your ass im going to come here after a night downtown!

but aside from the fact that is located right outside of my apt and that it closes late and opens early...the food here is delicious. I have tried the gyro, lamb, and sandwiches. all were very good and the portions were decent. it is a great place to go for cheap eats, eps if you are hung over or too lazy to cook.

I really don't understand that bad reviews of this place.  I've recently moved from New York..a serious restaurant city filled with people from all over the world including tons of greeks and totally hands down could not tell the difference.  The food is really good, fresh, made to order and quick.  The gentleman who serves me is always polite, smiles and seems genuinely happy to see me.  The cafe is always quiet with a handful of patrons sitting enjoying their food.  When my family was visiting from NYC we all ordered from Mykonos and totally enjoyed it - we even ordered twice.  Whether dinning in or taking out - totally enjoyable - and more than just drunk food.

I had the gyro salad, it was okay...thedressing didn't taste all that fresh but the yogurt that they give u in a ketchup bottle for every table was delicious. The size was huge and it comes with a big slice of white bread which actually doesn't make all that much sense to me. But it was overall a good salad...I left feeling a little heavy from maybe the fattyness of the meat, but I would probably have it again and just lay off so much of the meat.

I live right across the street from this place and I tried it to see if it could be a place I could rely on for a tasty late night meal.  Well, it does open late, but I don't think it will be my first choice when midnight hunger calls.  I got a gyro because I assumed that would be their specialty, given it's in the name.  The gyro meat was not very good.  It was dry and the taste was not anything special.  The pita bread was nothing special either.  The only saving grace was the yogurt dressing.  That really saved the meal for me.  However, I don't think I'll be going back for gyros any time soon.  They do have a pretty extensive and diverse menu, but given this experience, I'm not going to risk ordering the other foods just yet.
