WOW!!! Words can not express how great this place is for birthday parties. We just had our son's first birthday party here and it was extremely well done!
Our son is only one and you have to wonder if he would care but he had a smile on him the entire time we were there. They really made him feel special. There was no doubt that he was the birthday boy.
While most of the kids were 1 to 18 months old. We also had kids as young as 11 months to as old as 8 years old and everyone looked like they were having fun. There were just so many activities for all ages.
We've been to parties at Gymboree and Junior Gym and they can't even compare to My Gym. The staffs here are extremely friendly and professional. I believe Avi is the owner and he's absolutely amazing.
Have your child's birthday party here. You will not regret it.
As Gymoree has withered away in a protracted death spiral, My Gym has risen to take over the mantel of organized kids' play spaces.
Most importantly, my 4 year old daughter loves her visits for "Mighty Mite" class and free play with her baby brother on Fridays. Her pre-school teacher had suggested we encourage our daughter to be more physically active. She took to the class like white on rice; running around and playing and singing and chatting away from the first minute of her first class.
My daughter certainly doesn't look at My Gym as a fitness center to work on her gross motor skills. That's what's best about the place: it encourages physicality and involvement rather effortlessly.
Space just the right size. Props and mats are regularly changed around into new formations to keep things interesting. Staff is very enthusiastic and engaging.
I had tried out San Mateo Gymnastic Center in Belmont with my son, but he got immediately overwhelmed and turned off by all the hardcore Ulga Korbits running around at full speed flipping, somersaulting and vaulting. Way too hardcore. My Gym has just the right vibe.
All in all, a great way for little kids to bounce off the (padded) wall and let off steam. She's really gonna sleep well tonight!

I brought my 22 month old daughter here for a free trial. The staff were very friendly, and the class type and equipment was perfect for this age group. We are so happy with this gym that we are considering joining even though it's a little more expensive than Junior Gym in San Mateo.
We have been in many programs, including Gymboree, San Mateo Gym, and Little Gym. My Gym is the best. Gymboree was boring and repetitive. SM Gym and Little Gym take themselves too seriously. My Gym is perfect. It is playful and fun, they change the program every week, they provide just the right amount of free play time, and the kids have such a great time.
They offer a Parent's Night Out occasionally -- my kids have a super time while my husband and I have a date. We've held my daughters last 2 birthday parties (2 year old and 3 year old) here: They made her feel very special and all the children had a blast.
To the parents in Palo Alto, we love Avi and Sarah too! We were so sad when Avi said he was opening a My Gym in Burlingame and would be spending time up there!!! We don't see him much any more. Avi is truly amazing. The smile he has on his face while he is running a birthday party is so genuine and he is so playful and my daughter just went right into his lap from the moment she arrived for her party. There's a lot of pics of Avi in our photo album!!!
I have to say that I have never stepped foot in this place. My daughter goes to the gym with my dad every Wednesday; she's 2 (as of April 2008).
My daughter actually wakes up Wednesdays and is anxious to get to "Pa's house" to play at "Kaylee's Gym." My dad says she has a lot of fun running, singing, jumping, balancing on bars, swinging and just interacting with the other children.
I think my daughter is pretty coordinated for her age; this may or may not be related to her being at My Gym for the past 8 months. highly recommend this place, as I think it is great for kids. It helps develop social and physical skills and is fun.
I know the managers from when they helped start My Gym at Palo Alto. Avi and Sarah are amazing with kids - and genuinely warm, kind people. They were wonderful with my son, who was extremely cautious and sensitive as a toddler. I'm so sad Avi and Sarah aren't in Palo Alto anymore, but our loss is San Carlos's gain, you lucky folks...
We did a free trial class for my "waddler". We truly enjoyed it. The teachers are nice and get the kids engaged. They have a lot of activities ranging from structured and unstructured free play. Since this was a free class I thought we would get some pressure to join after the class, but they didn't. I am seriously considering joining, maybe after trying out some other gyms.
Are your kids getting enough exercise? Um, yeah, that's what I thought. Enter, "My Gym", a fitness center designed just for kiddies. The best thing about My Gym is that the kids are having so much fun, that they don't even realize they are actually workin on their fitness. They have classes for babies, all the way up through age 13. In addition to the classes, they also offer drop-in play time a few hours a week where you can sit and watch your kids play or join in on the fun (my fav part, b/c really, when else can I jump on a trampoline and crawl through tunnels without feeling self conscious? Oh how I love being a mom). They offer a free trial class, so really you have nothing to lose. Get your kid's hooked on a healthy lifestyle...they'll thank you one day. See ya there!

My daughter loves loves loves My Gym! Avi and Sarah are great, as are all the other people who work there. They make the kids feel welcome, and get them moving and learning some simple gymnastics. Their set-up changes every week, so it is always new and interesting. Along with the class you sign up for, you get to attend one hour of Free Play each week, and they have a few different times to choose from. My kids have a great time running around on all the different equipment. They also started Parents Nights Out twice a month, where the kids are there from 6-9pm and the parents get to leave and have a night out! Woohoo!

Avi and Sara rock. Our kids attended a toddler class and had a birthday party there. The staff's enthusiasm and creativity are endless. We don't attend classes anymore as we want to try other things, but our kids always get a big smile on their faces when we drive by. Far better than Little Gym in Belmont.
GREAT! This place is an excellent place for kids to come have fun and also learn basic gymnastics skills. They offer classes from infant age all the way to older kids (age 12 is the oldest I believe). Your little one will be challenged as well as entertained and have a great time playing in the gym. There is a lot to keep them busy like a ball pit, zip line, rock wall and tons of things to climb on. They also throw amazing birthday parties with a staff that is second to none.
