awesome exhibits, awesome gift shop.
If I were rich I would own only handcrafted locally produced items, if you could define locally produced as based on where I travel at the moment, because I would be rich, and would go everywhere.
But I digress. I made J purchase a bracelet that fit her like a glove.
If a glove had no fingers or parts for the palm and were made of hand hammered sterling silver by a married couple who have designed and produced beautiful jewelry together for 40 years or so.
Again, I digress.
Come here, get your craft on.

Do not miss this gem of a museum. The quality of work is staggering and you will feel very good inside about art, about life, about humans and about making a donation.

This is the best museum I've ever visited. Crafting is an art form that is rarely celebrated in such a professional, yet accessible way. I was incredibly impressed with the current exhibitions, "Framing: The Art of Jewelry" and "Touching Warms the Art," in which visitors are encouraged to touch, try on, and photograph themselves in pieces of hand crafted jewelry. I can't recommend this place enough. Get there right now!
