I've said it before - I'll say it again - I'm a sucker for a good bookstore! This one is really fantastic - high, well organized bookshelves - a bit of a maze but one that I like and can really get lost in. The books are really well ordered - new stuff up front is fairly ecletic and it's pretty clear that they aren't pushing particular titles based on contracts with publishers (ie - you don't see a stack of 20 of the same title). This place is great - well worth the visit if you are going through Murphys!

This is a great bookstore that has a good amount of new books and used ones at decent prices. They also have a section of books on Calaveras County, which is a nice touch. A great place to stop in if you are looking for a book to read by the lake, or in your ski lodge.
