Beautiful things?  Yes.  There were actually several things I wanted to buy, and would have, but I just can't support a store that doesn't value my business.

I was not the only person in the store but I was the only person not getting any assistance and when I asked for help, I was given a look and spoken to in a I-know-you're-not-going-to-buy-anything-so-don't-waste-my-time kind of tone.

A lot of items also didn't have price tags which makes me feel like prices are based on whether you look like you have money to spend.

FYI, some of the wealthiest people may not look the part.

I just got my engagement ring here. (1910 cool!!).  Gary the owner was sooo nice and let me try on as many rings as I liked, without any pressure. I found the most perfect ring and he insisted that I go outside to see how it shines.  Great guy Great place.

If you blink you might miss this little gem on Fillmore. I blinked, but luckily didn't miss the front window, decorated with antique French and English tea cups. Did I just say that? Double take, "tea cups? Huh?" I went in to this small nook of an antique shop to answer my personal WTF. How does this place survive amongst all the high fallutin' company (Marc Jacobs and the rest of the pack)? The answer is easy, it's a specialty place with an incredible selection of antique, bygone dining sets, china, dinner bells etc. "Oh My Cheeves has rung us for dinner. Shall we my nineteenth century guests?" You name it, Mureta's has everything in Old OLD School dining essentials. A second look and you find antique opera glasses, a business card brass monkey ("monkey-monkey"). So if passing this place, you can blink but don't miss it.

5 duckets for ol' skool eatin' stuff.
