Oh man, there's something about hot dogs with great sausage and a crazy selection of mustards to tickle your fancy. They have outdoor eating in the summer and winter hands down. In the summer they have mist fans and in the winter the huge fireplace in the middle keeps everything warm and toasty.
I always get the bratwurst (I guess I should try something else next time) and I love their porter mustard. I even had to get 2 bottles of their mustard to take home, because they are ridiculously good. Took me 2 days to find their mustards in a bottle, I am so glad I did. Their pretzels are hearty, like real pretzels should be and you cannot have them without the mustard.
Their seasonal beer, I forgot the name, was so good, you can get it at their brewery down the street called Icicle Brewery. They even had mulled wine and smelled so good when they made it fresh in the morning. Love it, will come back time and time again. -

Everyone ravs about this place! I've eaten here many times, and it's always good! True Brauts! the beer is fantastic as well! Great atmosphere and location! Delicious!
Pretty much the only good place to get a meal in Leavenworth as everything else is bland and disappointing. -
Review from Andrew M.
Great place for some beer and brats.
I like the outdoor Bavarian beer garden atmosphere. There's a bar in the center with a good selection of Icicle beers on tap, surrounded by some picnic tables and an upstairs deck. I'd never had Icicle beer (it's local) before now and the IPA I had was very good. There's also a place to order brats towards the front of the place. Good place. -

Dined here after spending a month in Germany the previous year. In the best way possible I was kind of thrown off in the best way possible. I kept thinking maybe I was back in Germany. A fantastic selection of beers, and brats. The pretzel was okay, but the atmosphere, and limited menu were so amazing. Well worth the trip to leavenworth alone. Had a fantastic time. Next time out in that area again I will be hitting up the Muchen Haus!

You can't visit Leavenworth without eating brautwurst smothered in mustard, and Munchen Haus is the place to go. With over a dozen varieties of mustards, you'll definitely find the perfect match for the brat, or any sausage. Oh, and don't forget the sauerkraut for that extra kick!
Prost! -

Everytime I come to Leavenworth I have my glass liter from Munchen Haus in hand. You can fill it up for cheaper if you buy it there. Love the brats, especially the home made mustards and kraut.
The line may be really long in the summer time, but they move it. In the winter, they have fires out back - note: there is no indoor seating, wear a coat in the winter!
Love that they serve Icicle Creek's Beer now - it's fresh and delicious. Also, my boyfriend can not get enough of the pretzels.Listed in: Weekends Away

Good beer selection. Great brats. Only has outdoor seating, so a bit chilly in the colder, wetter months, but they have a fireplace. We always seem to stop there when in Leavenworth no matter what the weather and they are always crowded with fun people. Of course we will continue to go back.

Beer and brats done right. This place gets crowded but whenever the tourists are out of town this place is wonderful!

I've always wanted to go and have a brat & brew here all the times I've been to Leavenworth! Well I got to enjoy myself w/Love and it was great! The food was great, service eh, brews were great, atmosphere was great!
It was so great we went twice! -

This place is what I imagine a German Pub would look like.
You place the food order in the front of the outdoor stand, then walk pass the kitchen to the bar, where you order beer, and then go pick your picnic table in an outdoor seating area that is covered by a porch with grapes growing off the posts. It's a really cool space that's well designed and definitely makes you forget that you are in the middle of Washington.
I LOVED the pretzel. We shared one together and that was probably a big mistake as I could have easily eaten it on my own. We also got the potato salad, which had bacon in it, and it was tasty, but not my favorite. Boyfriend really liked the potato salad though. He ordered Helga's Giant Kelbassi (1/3 pound, Polish, Beef & Pork) which he enjoyed. I ordered the Chicken & Garlic Sausage (1/4 pound, Smoked, flavorful spices, pork casing) which I liked for the flavor. However, we both agreed that the casing was really tough and made the sausage hard to chew. A really cool thing about the place is that they had a condiment bar, with like 20 different mustards to try. That was really cool. Boyfriend enjoyed the beers, and he really liked his Lager and ended up finishing half of my Kolsch because I got full.
Next time I come to Leavenworth, I am coming back here to get two pretzels for myself. I probably wouldn't come back for the sausage though. -

Awesome bar crappy restaurant.bathroom was nice. Great atmosphere lots yelling. Crap food tried everything. I mean if it were in the bar category it'd be fine but I found it under food. The food is not good at all just imagine six different sausages that could be picked out of a food market and that's your menu. As a bar to sit outside great but rated on food gross.

Yum yum yum yummy! Munchen Haus hit the spot! The atmosphere is pretty rad, too - I love the outdoor seating and courtyard area. Lines were long, but that is to be expected... and we didn't mind waiting for our beers, brats and other assorted deliciousness.
I definitely recommend stopping here during your Leavenworth tour - though there are so many other places to choose from as well. We initially planned to have lunch here first but when we saw the line we ended up elsewhere... once we finally got around to trying it later in the afternoon, I regretted that!

Great, shady outdoor patio with picnic tables and beautiful flowers everywhere! There's a mister they turn on on super hot days, it's not above the actual tables.
Love the veggie brats, and OH the mustard bar!!! YUM! Garlic mustard please!
They also have sauerkraut if you're into that. And beer. Very decent IPA!
Reasonable prices and dog friendly! -

Hey, this place was adorable.
So stoked they have a veggie wurst!
Yummy sauerkraut!
And TONS of mustard to chose from, including curry ketchup!!!!
I was in this little place called Heaven on Earth.
Washed it all down with a delicious pint, and then waddled my way up the stairs to take a look at the beautiful view.
I can honestly say that I felt like I was in Bavaria, it was very reminiscent of a couple restaurants I have visited while in Germany.
You just place your order with the front window, walk over to the side bar, order your beer... wait a few moments, then slap on some sauerkraut, mustard, relish, curry ketchup, etc... find a seat along one of the biergarten styled benches, and ENJOY.
Guten Apetit und Prost! -

BAVARIA VUNDERLAND!
It's kinda veird when die best place to eat is a bier garten as vell. But it's pretty good. Ve had some currywurst, and they have an awesome variety of mustards along with some really really good apple cider kraut. This place is really vell priced for the amount you get, so much so ve came back for dinner as vell.
GUTEN TAG!!!
If ve go back to this Bavaria Vunderland for Christmas, I think ve vill still come back for some vurst as vell. -

Have you even been to the Mucnhen Haus? No? Shame on you!
I cannot go to Leavenworth with out stopping at this place. The food is excellent, they've got dozens of toppings (including exotic mustards and warm sauerkraut) and the staff is always friendly and eager to please! On my last visit I discovered their Curryworst, a German sausage with a odd curry twist! paired with sweet champagne mustard and it was a delight!
Lines might be long, but don't be intimidated, it's well worth the wait! The wait is never as long as it seems. Their cooks are fast and their cashiers know how to move a line! Great values awaits you inside!
Now they're serving all the beers from the nearby Icicle Brewing Company!! Why are you still reading? GO! -
Review from Reena M.
A solid sausage fest... I mean house.. I mean, come here to get your fill of sausage! Ermm.... well it's tastier than it is dirty ;-) They have a good selection of high quality sausages, including a turkey and a vegetarian option. Not something you will find easily in Germany. There is a nice small beer garden atmosphere like Germany--It would be nice if it were bigger. It's good to know that there is one line in front for the food and another line inside to order the drinks at the bar. The choices of sauce and toppings will make you want more sausage just so you can try them all... but my body can only handle one per sausage session.
Pretzels aren't so authentic. They're the frozen kind reheated. But it's hard to find a good pretzel in this country.
All in all, it's good eats in Leavenworth.Listed in: Going South... of Vancouver

Very, very, cool place to get a sausage and beer.
Outdoor patio that is as awesome in the winter as it is in the summer.
Also a great upper deck area with excellent views, that is curiously bypassed by most visitors. Hmmm, more for me I suppose.
A few sausage styles to choose from, standard German beers, plus a few WA microbrewery selections.
What really makes this place is the condiments.
I'm a sauce whore, and this place delivers.
There is a whole rack of different mustards - tasty ones, followed by a few ketchup variations, some relish, onions, and the grand finale - a big black kettle of steaming sauerkraut.
I'm all smiles... -

Nice outdoor seating area, they allowed dogs out there so that was very cool. We got a brat and some lemonade, it all tasted nice and fresh. The price was a little steep though. The cashier guy was not very nice and welcoming, probably the only person in Leavenworth we met who was not happy&polite.

I've visited this town twice and both times I've made a pit stop here at Munchen Haus.
I wasn't much of a fan of the curry sausage but others liked it. I've stuck with the kelbassi. LOVE all their mustard's they have and condiments... Honey mustard and amber ale is a winner for me. Their sauer kraut simmering in cider is AMAZING! During the winter they had this alcoholic cider/wine concoction and it was yummy. They also serve up local microbrews to keep you going.
Their seating area is outdoor and they have benches for sharing. A great time whenever I visit! -

Now, going in I was never much of a sausage guy so when I got a big bob it was good, but not great, but that's a personal thing I'm sure.
2nd try I had their frank and that has to be one the most delicious dogs I've ever had in my life. I love the condiments, I'm the kind of guy that loves spicy/heat so when I pour that Green Hornet Jalapeno sauce on my frank, with some sauerkraut and onions and honey mustard....it can get no better. Next time I go I'm bringing portable cream cheese to spread on my bun =)
I also got their award winning IPA Beer, pretty damn refreshing if you ask me. -

Great jalapeño brat and pretzels! During the winter, they have placed wood burning stoves around the outdoor areas to warm youself

Hubby and I really enjoyed our lunch here. We piled on as much mustard and sauerkraut as we wanted on our bratwursts. They have a nice, large selection of mustard varieties and we are both big mustard fans! My bratwurst was just as tasty as the sausages I ate in Germany. However, the potato salad was nowhere near as tasty as the salad I had in the beergartens in Germany. But that doesn't mean that this place doesn't earn a 5 star rating from me. Simple menu, great mustard bar, sauerkraut, and great experience!

Delicious field roast brats from the Munchen Haus in Leavenworth, WA. Think you can't get any decent vegetarian food in Bavarian-themed Leavenworth? Bah! We make a point to stop here (at least) once every time we are passing nearby. And check out this selection of mustards!
We suggest the sweet & sour and jalepeno. I personally like the dill. But stay away from the champagne. We keep making that mistake.

The sausages here are definitely not the wurst!
The food here is pretty good, and they have an amazing number of mustards here! When driving through Leavenworth on the way to Eastern Washington, I like stopping here for a for some food and a beer. It's quaint, the people are nice, the food is good, and the beer is decent. There is a brewery where they make local beers close by as well.
I have been multiple times, and would go back. -

Whenever we're in Leavenworth, this is the one place we have to stop at.
The selection of sausages to mustards is worth the drive alone. Get there before it opens because the line gets crazy, especially during the summer with all the tourists.
I love that the sausages are cooked on the giant covered outdoor grill.
The smells of the grilled sausages in the historic Bavarian setting is the perfect place to take a road trip to or celebrate Oktoberfest. -

This place has got their Sh!&* together!!! You can tell these people are used to it being busy - they've got their system down! While the lines were long, we didn't have to wait long to get our food or beer! The Big Bob and currywursts were YUMMY - there's def no shortage of unique mustards or condiments here. And the potato salad was SO good, make sure you order some. Of course the final thing to round out the combo - BEER! Mmmm...
When making the trek out to Bavarian Country, Munchen Haus is an awesome spot for good eats and good brews! -

This place specialized in brats. I ordered the jalapeno and cheese brat and the big 1/3 lb brat. You place your order first and then order your beer farther inside by the sitting area. This is an outdoor eatery with umbrella covered tables and picnic benches. They have a plethora of flavored mustards and sides such as saurkraut and jalapenos. The service was quick and the brats were tasty. Nothing stood out to set it apart from the rest, in my opinion. The brats tasted the same as store bought.

Mmmmmm... Sausages...
It was my first time visiting Leavenworth, and of course, I referred to Yelp for some good eats. Munchen Haus was on the top of my list, and I'm so glad we got to try their sausages right before we left. Boyfriend ordered the Big Bob and I got the jalapeno and cheddar sausage. Both were sooo good. They also have a huge selection of mustards and sauerkraut! Their potato salad was also really good. I'm salivating just thinking about it. I didn't get to try any of the beer, but definitely next time. They need to open one here in the Seattle area!! -

The curry wurst was very good. They need to add fries or pommes, to the menu. Only 1 outside heater on the patio and placed in an isolated location. Typical tourist restaurant serving typical German tourist food. Will return in warmer weather.

Most authentic place in town.

I can't leave Leavenworth without stopping by here for a brat. I've been here at least half a dozen times (one year 3x in one weekend!). I love the currywurst, jalepeno and cheddar, & cajun (and the classic big bob) because they are unique. Pretzels are good and so is the selection of beers. There's a whole spread of tasty mustards (I like the jalepeno, ale, & garlic specialty mustards...but there's so many to taste, that you'll need another brat to try them all)
It's outdoors, so layer. On weekends they had live music and it's busy and fun (when it's warm outside). -

I love this place. Its got the perfect setup.Shared tables and self service which I think is fantastic. I like that when you order your sausages, they give you a buzzer like in a restaurant for your table and you don't have to hang around waiting for your food which is fast anyways. That way you can go get your beer and hang out with your friends and have a good time. I am a huge fan and we went there several times to eat as it was pretty inexpensive and simple. I love that their sauerkraut is hot and the only complaint I had was that the casing on the Kielbasa was a bit tough to bit through but the flavors were great. I highly recommend this place and I know that I will be back again. Hell Yeah!

My favorite beer garden hands down. Great selection of beers and friendly staff. Very authentic. I always meet a new friend and run into old ones. The place isn't to large, so it's cozy. The live music is fun to watch from the balcony as well. After summer comes to an end, they take down the misters and bust out the outdoor fireplace for you to unthaw your paws. Did I mention that they have amazing brats! Yes, yes. This is one of the many things that I miss about Leavenworth, especially during the winter months.
