DO you like inexpensive unique, adorable tights, scarves, sunglasses, costumes, costume jewelry, eyelashes, belly dance gear, playa wear, wigs, hats, and accessories??

I have gotten some of my FAVORITE hats, earrings, belts (etc.) here. It takes a whole lot of self discipline for me to walk out empty handed. They have all the inexpensive accessories you even wanted, but they also have a collection of amazing high quality pieces in the glass display cases.

In my top 5 favorite stores ever. And I love the owner. What a gem!

I came here yesterday to accessorize. I got a cool little necklace and some knee highs.  This place has all kinds of great accessories which is the reason to go here.
I didn't end up using either one of the things I bought on my date, because the knee highs didn't match my shoes and the necklace felt a little like "gilding the lily" (over doing it) but I am still happy with both of them and am sure I will end up using them.
    Definitely worth the visit.

Whenever I need a little pick-me-up like, you know, something like sparkly hotpants or thigh-high fishnets or maybe just some legwarmers, I pop in here. The prices are super low, and  I like to bring my friends here when they're costume shopping too. Glitter eyeliner? Check. Camo tutu? Check. Bindis? Check. UV-reactive half-shirt? Check. The owner is a really nice middle-eastern (I think) man.  He is more than happy to help you find stuff, knows what he has in stock, knows when new shipments are arriving and he never ever appears shocked when I load up on more slutty stockings than any girl who isn't a stripper will ever need in their lifetime. Oh, and he started getting in slightly higher end products as well, especially makeup and cashmere blend socks.  I heart this place.

I have a newfound appreciation for Multikulti now that I want to get into burlesque.  I've never seen such a selection of stockings and pasties.  Maybe this was just due to Halloween, but I love it.  This is a store that really gets me and embraces my outer tramp.

Stores like this creep me out...IDK why! Maybe it's because of all the wigs and the smell of costumes...kinda funky. My girlfriend took me here because she said they have really cool earrings. Yup! They did. Found a really cute pair of button earrings with leopard print on them. They have other cute earrings like little mustaches or baby elephants.

This is a really good place to go if you're looking for costumes. They have a good assortment. There are so many stockings, gypsy clothing type things, decorated bras, sequined shorts...etc all at a decent price. Great place to be creative and come up with your own costume, especially for this upcoming Halloween!

Best costume store with tons of good cheap jewelry. Belly dancing costumes. The best thing about this place is they are so cheap or at least decent prices they are not trying to rob you.

I just discovered this store recently while waiting for my boyfriend to get off work one day before heading to the Elbo Room! This will be my go-to place for cheap and unique accessories! Lately my taste has been changing from really girly, to more rocker and edgy and it was hard to find something that fits my tastes in regular retail and mall stores like forever 21, and h&m. this place is perfect , i love the unique rings with skull and animal motifs and they have so many tights in unique styles all for a cheap price! now i dont have to go shopping on ebay anymore to fulfill my craving because they have it all here! im just sad that i went here today only to discover they're closed on monday ! :( boo.. ill be back soon though!

p.s. the owner is very friendly too ! :D

First visit and I am a fan I think I found a GEM! It is seriously reasonable and has a lot of fun thing for you. If you are missing your San Francisco flavor stop by Multikulti and get a till spice. Plus it is all cheap... I am about to go tight crazy there. I just found a pair and color I have been search for at a reason able price (willing to pay up to like $12) so imagine my surprise to find them here for a less than $4.50 including TAX. I am so proud of myself for going in here with one thing in mind and walking out with just that. This store can be dangerous. It has so much for costumes, burner gear, SF craziness, and just a spice kick. Again I just cannot believe the prices and decent quality.

Pretty much the best place ever!

If you need legging, stockings, fishnets, thigh highs, fancy little girl type things, gloves, tank tops, costume accessories, or anything sparkle-y for a great price, this is the place to find it!

The man in the store, who I believe was the own, was super nice. He told me all about the new things they have coming in. Top quality american made things that will be a little more expensive then the crazy cheap amazing stuff they already have. I am excited to check the new stuff out.

Seriously a quintessential place to shop for any girl who lives in SF!

Dropped by here right before my Mission Adventure with Amy J.

Multikulti is a fun little store, with all sorts of costumey/ frilly/sparkly goodness.

I ended up buying the cutest gloves, which I love. The only drawback I saw was that they were a bit more expensive than NY apparel. NYA didn't have this same style, but truthfully I was/am willing to pay an extra couple dollars for the black and pink colors.

    Love em.

If you're in need of crotchless nylons and nipple clips, look no further. Beyond the exotic dance attire this place also has awesome socks and stockings appropriate for all different occasion. I love to come here to get new ideas for costumes because in San Francisco, there is always a reason for a costume.

Oh, and check out the selection of inappropriate greeting cards. I love them.

Love this store for random accessories and things I didnt even know I needed! Like the adorable 1UP mushroom salt and pepper shakers I bought on Sunday when all I went in for was thigh highs! Ended up walking away with the cutest pink handcuff necklace and a bunch of other stuff I didnt need.

Basically all you need to know is this place is Claires for growups. Funky fashionable disposable jewelry...nothing lasts very long but when youre only paying $5 for a super cute necklace you dont really care.

    "Ooooh there are sparklies!"

I came here with two of my drag queen friends in "street drag" (hoodies and jeans). That should set the scene for you right there.....

So we were all jonesing to indulge in a little retail therapy. The one common set of items we all needed were accessories, the bigger and/ or shinier, the better. Miss M* suggested we all take a trip down to her 'hood and I am so pleased we did. Multihkulti bills itself as a dance accessory shop but really, its like Claire's and sfparty had a sparkle spangled baby. Hats, shirts, tights, purses, masks, you name it, glitter and gleam at you from every surface. This is also a place to get yourself a naughty number or two. NYX and false lashes of all colors sit on the shelves. Best of all everything is reasonably priced. We all stocked up on plenty of bounty and took so long that we were all caught mid act in our greedy heady self indulgent binge by  another queen friend "indragnito" also there to unload the heavy burden of excess money in her wallet.

What can I say it was a Friday in the Mission.

P.S. I got an amazing shiny sparkle skirt. You can see it in action here:

This is a cool little spot, chock full of items, to browse if you're looking for great deals on sunglasses, costume jewelery, dance attire, belly dancing attire/zils, scarves, handbags, henna tattoos, greeting cards....oy....the list goes on! Very reasonably priced...many is the time you don't NEED any of this stuff...but you WANT it and you recognize it immediately! Reda, the charming owner by way of Alexandria, Egypt, has a way with the ladies and an eye for knowing what they want! = ) He has been there for 10 years, and generally knows everyone by name even if it's only their 2nd or 3rd visit! He makes time to chit chat while he's ringing each person up and everyone leaves there smiling, with a shopping back full of cool stuff! (Actually, now that I think of it, this store is a microcosm of the old Headlines chain...remember those cool shops on Market and in the Castro?)

On my most recent visit, I picked up some Jackie O sunglasses, a Cleopatra headdress (yes, I will FIND a reason to incorporate it into some future ensemble) some new zils for belly dancing, a pink ostrich feather and panne velvet mask (shades of Eyes Wide Shut...process THAT visual for a moment =) and life changing blue Swavorski crystal chandelier earrings!

The ONLY drawback is parking on this street AND with 1 hour meters! (And the construction going on right now has alot of spaces blocked off) Take public transit or park a couple blocks down on a side street and hoof it over there!

They are open 6 days a week, closed Mondays, from 12 to 8pm

Shoukran Reda-habibi, for this little mecca of sparkly goods and sunshine you have created for your clientele! You keep us coming back for more!!!

I can't believe it took me this long to find this place. I stumbled in after brunch one day while I was on my way to shop at Therapy next door. Upon seeing their selection, the 17 year old raver girl in me took over and I found myself wildly grabbing everything in the store and making a little pile of future purchases on the floor.  I came out having spent $70 on stuff like metallic booty shorts, tights, fake eyelashes, slap bracelets, wigs, sparkly bras and other delightful and completely unnecessary things.  Great success!

Basically Multikulti carries what you would find on Haight Ashbury but it's in the Mission instead.  It's got a definite hippie vibe married with a room full of hosiery: leggings, tights, fishnets, legwarmers including some Asian brands (i.e., what you would find at New York Apparel on Haight).  There are plenty of inexpensive knick knacks and trinkets, including sterling silver jewelry, fashion jewelry, scarves, purses, sunglasses, lip balms, coin purses, fingerless gloves, toys, pirates merchandise, and lip balm.

I went there looking for a scarf but didn't find anything that appealed to me.  I can see shopping for a niece here but I can't see finding something for my mother in law here (except for the Moroccan tea glasses).  It's a decent place to find reasonably priced accessories and trinkets.

I awoke bright and early on a gorgeous Saturday morning (well not THAT early reference- Tunnel Top review) and decided that I needed new T-shirts.

So, I finally popped into the Hippy accessory and clothing store on Valencia that I walk past everyday.  I was stoked to find some really cool T-shirts with prints straight outta Bollywood.

***Standby for excessive squeals of glee***

The really cool thing about this place is that everything is hip but---CHEAP.  I think my $10 Bollywood t-shirt is far cooler than my $26 Upper Playground t-shirt purchased on the same day.

    Downside
I think the owner might be the only buyer so, there isn't a large variety of sizes.  I had to coax my 'girls' into a medium t-shirt instead of a deep breath and wiggle friendly large.  On the bright side I have an awesome new bollywood inspired t-shirt slash titty-top.

    ***Squeals of glee continue****

Why have I walked by this place for years and only finally just went inside!?!?!?!?!

Two hundred dollars and three full shopping bags later, I have found GOLD in the form of stockings, and glitter, and eyelashes, and little notebooks, and costume pieces, and gloves, and tshirts, and a zillion other fabulous little things!

The prices are so damned amazing and there's so much wonderful stuff!  It's like taking the whole f@cking Haight and compressing all the good parts into one shop; lowering the prices by about 20%; skipping skads of teens trying to bum change; and no tourists standing in the middle of the street taking snapshots of the Haight-Ashbury intersection.

I'm in HEAVEN!  (And afterwards, I celebrated all my finds with bloody marys at Ti Touz!)

I'm on a review writin' binge today.  Geesh.

Multikulti is a great place to go if you happen to be stuck in the Mish with no scarf/gloves/dry socks/sunglasses during a weather change...  which is what I did last Monday when I nabbed myself a silk Pashmina for $7 upon exiting BART to discover that the temperature had dropped into negative numbers (I may exaggerate) in between the time I left my office & got off BART to meet a friend for coffee.

Multikulti is also a great place for cheapie birthday/Christmas presents & they have a fine assortment of fishnet stockings, though they do not have the black, small gauge, footless ones I have been trying to find forever...  I won't hold that against them, though, because they DID have a pair of black gloves with pink skulls on them for $7.99... SCORE!

They've upped the ante and started carrying better stuff in here.  I am still a fan of the silver from here, but I am also now really excited about my $1.99 peacock feather earrings and that they are carrying Tabisocks (made in Japan, distributed out of San Jose, I got to see their line at the POOL tradeshow in Vegas, it's awesome).  Great, extensive selection of tights and socks, and their sunglasses are like $6 - almost as cheap as buying them out of the LA Garment District yourself.

It's great for almost all of your accessorizing and costuming needs.  I don't think I've ever walked out without buying a little something.

I love this store. Whenever I want to put on my drunk mommy sunglasses, fish nets and feathery hair clips, I know where to go for my spare pair.

Super friendly staff, great selection of hosiery, fishnets, thigh highs, body stockings, you name it! And all at decent prices. I have one store that I call my whore store in the Haight where I get all my burlesque supplies, but MultiKulti has so much more and at a discounted price.

There's cute boutique items, wallets, purses, costumes, jewelry (most at $10 or less) and quirky little gag gifts or accessories for all those SF festivals that will soon be springing up. I make sure to stock up every time I'm in the area.

I thought I scored when I found a pair of black, oversized sunglasses at Therapy next door for $12. THEN, I walked into MultiKulti and was Blown Away at the sight of 3 carousels (Therapy only had 2) of sunglasses all for $6 per pair. Arrggghhh! After making sure that my just purchased pair wasn't found there, I tried on several pairs and bought some leopard printed ones to serve as backup sunglasses. The owner (assuming that was he behind the register) was very sweet and polite.

This store has everything for those putting on a show. Fake eyelashes to stage makeup to wild pantyhose to jewelry to belly dancing costumes and hip scarves with and without noisemakers.

This place will become one of my habitual "stops" henceforth.

As a performer, you always need the weirdest shit. And you need it to be shiny, sparkle, dazzle and be less than $10. You also always need thigh highs, fishnets, satin gloves, and well...you get the picture. Multikulti is my chief dance accessories place because it's so cheap and I always find something I can use in there. Sequin thong? Check. Shiny shorts? Check. $4 fishnets and thigh highs? Check. A gazillion costume jewelery pieces? Check. Hair flower pieces? Check. Star spangled banner colored fake lashes? Check! I only wish Reda had a better selection of wigs and feather boas...but he's always welcoming to feedback as to what he should stock up on so tell him!

Speaking of Reda, what a darling. He's so sweet, accomodating and for some reason has an unquestionable expertise pertaining to womankind's inclination for all things sparkly and shiny.

I feel like Alice in Wonderland everytime I walk in..."Curiouser and curiouser..." because all the sparkly goodness is so remarkable and so happyfying all at once!

When I was a wee lass growing up in Gilroy, California (don't hate!) my wee lass friends and I had loved to go shopping at this little store called Pierras for silly stuff like make up, lip gloss, jelly shoes, cheap accessories (think Claire's Boutique) and plastic charm bracelets.

Now in my 30's, I still harken back to that time of buying cheap, frivolous stuff that made me happy for a few short moments.  As soon as I walked into Multikulti, I knew I had found my new Pierras....except this one has an adult twist.

Jewelery (cheap and higher quality), silly hats, $6 sunglasses, giant burger key chains (I wish I had taken a picture), cat puzzles, scarves and magnets lay along side floral pasties, fishnet tops, and sexy thigh highs.  This is a junk collector's dream!  I had fun roaming the shop with one of my girlfriends (whose husband dutifully followed behind us with little complaint...he's well trained) trying on hats, playing with tacky toys and contemplating the names of some of the brands of pasties.

This review may sound like all of this was crap but there were actually quite a few cute items (a great owl necklace I almost bought) there and I without a doubt will go back.  This is also a great store if you want to buy a silly, cheap gift for a friend.  It's almost ovewhelming the amount of stuff they have in here.  Definitely not for someone who can't handle a cluttered store.  But the people here are friendly enough and there was great French music being played in the background.  I can't wait to go back and relive my childhood years....as an adult.

Hoop earrings are among the sexiest accessories a woman can wear. Simple silver ones work best, in my opinion, and somehow manage to transform plain chicks into hot chicks and hot chicks into hotter chicks. Tragically, many jewelry stores lack a good selection.

Multikulti, on the other hand, has a glass case just brimming with silver hoops in all circumferences and thicknesses. What's more, most pairs go for a scant $10 or less. The next time I suffer a hoop earring emergency, I'm coming here.

Yes I am a guy reviewing a store that caters to women. No I am not gay. I am just a guy who is frustrated shopping for gifts that will please the ladies. Most of my friends and family (three sisters) are females who have different styles. It was always impossible to find gifts in the same store. I'd have to travel all over the city just to find a gift that matched their personalities. I bought my girlfriend some sexy tights, blouse with matching earrings. She loved them. I also bought my critical Jewish mother a scarf that she was so impressed with she nagged me to tell me where I bought it so she (I) could get one for my aunt.

The items are cool, the prices are cool, but the best part has to be the guy who owns it. I think he's Egyptian but he's married to an American woman. If I have trouble finding something he gives suggests things that help me out. He knows what women want, since he's the one who travels all over and buys the stuff. He also puts me at ease for being the only other guy in the store. I can tell him "I'm looking for something for my SISTER" so everyone stops assuming I'm a cross dresser. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the aisles are cramped and I feel like someone wants me out of their way.

I love this place! I can't believe I just found out about this place. Multi Kulti is a really fun place to come finish any outfit.

They carry all kinds of pantyhose, stockings, fishnets, thigh-hi's, leggings, tights, socks, leg warmers, etc. I'm a big fan, so I was overwhelmed and excited by their selection of sexy leg accessories.

They also have in-expensive make-up, I bought some colorful eye shadows, a lip gloss, mascara and an glitter eyeliner.

I love this store because unlike 99.9% of the wannabe boutiques in this city, this store doesn't overcharge for the fun-but-not-high-end jewelry, clothing and accessories it sells!

The owner is super-nice, and if you buy a lot of items, he'll give you a discount if you ask (and sometimes if you don't even ask, because he recognizes you give him a lot of business!).

This is a great store in which to find glitzy costume jewelry for ridiculously low prices (seriously, $10 for a fab earrings-and-necklace set?!!), very reasonably priced sterling silver jewelry, middle eastern glassware and collectibles, faaaaaaabulous fashion purses, neat knick knacks, etc.

You can also find pretty much everything you need to dress up for a great belly dancing performance:  belly-dancing coin belts under $20, upper-arm coil bracelets, over-the-top earrings, castinets (finger cymbals), necklaces, bracelets, and anklets that jingle when you move, glorious scarves, and much, much more!!!  Many of these items are in the $4-15 range!

I love this store because they always have new inventory, but always good prices.  I never feel condescended to, as I do many of the other hipster boutique hangouts in this city, and there's always something shiny that catches my eye for an affordable price!

Basically, I simply adore Multikulti and could not recommend it more if I tried!!!!

LOVE this spot. The staff are friendly and courteous, and they have such a huge selection of costumey things and gifts for such a tiny place.
I am a children's entertainer and come here for bits of costume all of the time-- they're cheap, and almost always have what I need. Wigs, eyelashes, and tights are all up in this place and I haven't really found cheaper eyelashes in this area. They have gifty things and makeup and jewelry also. Did I mention tights? Leggings, jeggings, fishnets, socks, legwarmers, armwarmers, satin and lace gloves...all here. Neato.
They also stay open later than most Mission boutiques ( I think 8pm?) so when I have a costume freak out I can run over here before I lose my sh*t.

Multikulti is the place to go when I am going out that night and absolutely, positively MUST have some cheap bling to wear. In fact, a pair of jumbo hoops ($4! in your choice of gold tone or silver tone!) spurred a stylist I met outside of Rotee to take one look at me and swish, "You know what they say.....the bigger the hoops, the bigger the whore," and if that ain't a compliment then I don't know what is. Ooo snap.

But this place ain't just for cheap bling. They have nice quality sterling jewelry as well, and it's the PERFECT place for last minute gifts. There are scarves, CDs, incense, oil, ceramic clocks and ashtrays, drums, all kinds of hidden treasures. And Reza the owner is a gem. Total sweetheart.

I am obsessed with this place.

I found it one desperate day my freshman year of college as I dedicated a Saturday to finding some amazing clip ons for my virgin ears. Multikulti performed.

Now that I've lost my lobe's V card, I go to find all my favorite cheap, jangley, enormous earrings.

On top of that though, the owner has an AMAZING assortment of jewelry from the Middle East and Pakistan. Necklaces laced with stunning stones, ranging from small rings and studs to crazy huge pendents, necklaces, etc.

ALSO: cheap, sassy tights of all colors and styles. I love this place.

Totally stumbled in this place while looking for something to eat.
    Loved it!
They had some of everything in there.  From leggings and scarves to jewelry and flasks.
I had no intention on buying anything just simply looking.
Low and behold I found this beautiful studded different shades of blue clutch.  OMG...it was to die for.  There was no way in hell I could leave that in there.  Super inexpensive.  Only paid $24 for it.  I love it.  I can't wait to go out and rock it :)
The owner was super nice and to my surprise they take debit cards.  YAY!!!!!
They had a ton of stuff in there.  Check it out :)
