Jesse is perhaps the most likeable and HONEST contractor we have ever worked with. The windows are super awesome. I cannot even believe we waited so long to get the work done. I have to admit I thought for sure once we called in a contractor, they were going to take our beautiful window, albeit a beautiful, broken window, and say nothing could be done. But Jesse came through and not only assured us that he could do the work, but gave us a comfortable time frame. And to boot, I thought this was going to cost us an unreasonable amount and Jesse actually came in lower than we were expecting.
I so recommend Jesse for people who have bungalows and want to retain the integrity of the original stained glass.
Seriously, not jokingly, the bomb! -

We found Jesse at the Chicago Bungalow Expo, as well as a few other art glass places. We just bought a house, and one of the windows on our porch that should be art glass was just plain glass. According to neighbors the old owners broke it when they moved out (classy).
So my wife emailed here and a few other places getting quotes. We thought they'd be good because they have the exact same window on the website. And when we got the emails back this place was the cheapest.
Jesse came out last month to do a rubbing and measurements and stuff. We had sent him a picture but he needed more exact info. He didn't even need to go inside. He said that due to the holidays it would take a little while to get the window finished. He was done about when he said, and then I just had to schedule an hour for him to come by and install it. He did that mostly all from outside as well, but had to touch up a little inside.
The new window looks great, but it makes me really want to clean the old one because they look mismatched since the new one is all clean and sparkly.

Jesse did a wonderful job restoring our beautiful Victorian stained glass windows in the sun room. He was courteous, respectful and worked speedily and deftly to complete the task at hand - all at a very reasonable rate too! The end result is exquisite. Highly recommended!

My husband and I recently purchased a bungalow in Oak Park. It came with beautiful art glass windows from the 1920s but unfortunately one of them had gotten broken somewhere down the line and just looked horrible next to its previous mate.
I came across a few art glass makers in the Chicago area and was very impressed with Jesse's website and he seemed like a great fit for prairie style, arts & crafts type windows. Plus his quote was very reasonable.
Jesse was very communicative via email and was able to do the window without taking the current one out - which was very convenient. The window was installed while I was at work and when I came home I was blown away by the craftsmanship and beauty of my new window.
All in all, I could not have been more pleased. I look forward to using Jesse in the future to do some custom cabinet doors with art glass as well possibly a new window in the bathroom.Listed in: Home Essentials

Recently, we had our stained glass windows "unearthed" from the plaster burial performed upon them by the previous owners of our 100 year old 2 -flat building. We had a section of plaster, plywood and insulation removed above our mantel during remodeling. Beneath all the material we found two stained glass windows. One was in good condition and the other was destroyed, save a few surviving panes.
I called Jesse at Mulligan Stained Glass and hired him. He did a magnificent job at refurbishing the one and completely rebuilding the other. Now over our mantle we have two beautiful windows. In the afternoon, sunlight pours through the stained glass, illuminating the room. Periodically, I just walk into the living room, stare at the glass and smile. In some small way, with Jesse's help, we have restored a bit of the building back to a period where the arts and crafts of another age added style and grace to a working class building. I am proud to have done it.
I can't recommend Jesse enough. He is definitely a skilled technician, has vast knowledge of his craft and was a pleasure to work with during the whole process. -

I highly recommend Mulligan Stained Glass. We had him restore a 110 year old stained glass window for us. The window had many issues and Jesse addressed all of them. His work quality is perfect. On top of his quality, he is professional with every interaction including our initial conversations, estimation of costs, timeliness, and follow-up. Jesse definitely earned this glowing review and dealing with him was a refreshing and positive experience!

Didn't even realize Jesse was on here or I would have reviewed him a long time ago! He did a little stained glass piece for our condo awhile back and I still love, love, love it. I didn't realize that I could get custom work done (I picked the color & design) for such a reasonable price. Plus, he added a piece of clear glass to a nook above our doorway to keep the pigeons out. That glass has survived 3 chicago winters and looks as good as the day he installed it. Agree w/everyone else that he was responsive & professional. Highly recommended!
