I am not your typical ABC girl, but their almond boneless chicken is incredible. Maybe its the MSG.... maybe its their light, fried rice that accompanies the crispy crispy breading encrusting juicy chicken and warm, smooth gravy... I don't know and I don't care. This place is always delicious.
Mui's is hands down the best Chinese takeout in the area. Completely amazing every time. I opt for the spring rolls instead of the included egg roll, but both are very good. I usually get three meals out of one lunch combination.
Their rolls are heavenly... soft yet dense, somewhat sweet and always perfect with butter, ready to dip in the ABC gravy. And they come with every combination.
I have tried other options from there... The Emperor's Garlic Chicken is good, the Honey Chicken is pretty good too. General Tso's is excellent, but with all of these I would recommend getting the sauce on the side (I am not a big fan of soggy breaded chicken).
As my grandma always says, "Try it, you like it." -

It was ok but nothing to write home about. I ordered General Tso chicken and it almost tasted like sweet & sour chicken. It was too sweet for my taste (I like my General chicken savory with a touch of heat.) My kids had the almond chicken and it was pretty standard. Some pieces had coating that was mushy & wasn't cooked all the way. The gravy was kind of bland too. Until I find a better local Chinese place, I'm driving to Southfield and eating at Empress Garden. EG is awesome!

First off lets be honest, I am a dedicated "Young's Chinese may I help you fan." However I have been wanting to try a Chinese carry out place closer to the house. The 3 mile drive to Young's was wearing on me...
We opted for the Orange Chicken. First impression was- wow thats a lot of food. It tasted somewhere between a cinnamon bakery treat and a sweet roll. Very weird. I felt as if I needed a coffee with it or something.
So yeah, I am not impressed. The food was cheap, the chicken was not mystery meat but the taste was just way off. Back to 11 mile for some Young's. -

Better than average Chinese take out restaurant. All of my experiences here have been very positive and the man that works the front counter is always helpful.
The portions are huge. If you are order for two, a single entre will more than do. They have good soup/appetizers as well!
The service is quick and the food is reasonably inexpensive. From my experience this is one of the best take out restaurants in the area! -

Please note, I am only rating this on the things I had from there, egg drop soup and an egg roll.
I was craving egg drop soup like a crazy person tonight and upon finding that Golden Ball (my favorite) was closed, I took a swing by Mui's because really, how different can egg drop soup be?
Apparently very different.
I didn't care for the flecks of (what I think were) pepper floating around and it definitely had a taste that didn't taste like "traditional" egg drop soup that I've had and it was much thinner than I care for. The egg roll was decent, although a little stale/soft, like it had been sitting out for a while or had been reheated (I'm pretty sure I heard a microwave beeping while I was waiting for my order).
I've learned to just stick with the places I know. -

Mui's is my favorite place for Chinese food. I have yet to have a bad experience and even found myself craving Mui's while in China. I've had several of their dishes but absolutely love their pork fried rice and egg rolls. Yum, yum, yum.

Back in the day when I use to work for a living.... I went here for lunch. This is (In my own opinion) the best chinese food in Michigan. I have never had a problem with the food there, i.e. when in Detroit the chinese food is usually salty and honestly depressing. Anyway this is a must check out restaurant

Mui's has just average Chinese take-out. The chicken is little cubes of spongy white meat that tastes like SPAM. Other than that, the food is okay, but nothing special or memorable. Although service is fast, Golden Ball is a far superior Chinese option just a block away.

I have been going to Mui's since I was a child, and whenever I have Chinese takeout elsewhere I find myself craving Mui's.
The portions are huge and well worth the $$$. Every "dinner" comes w/ your entree, fried rice, egg roll and bread roll. There is plenty for two to eat. The almond chicken is crunchy w/ tender flavorfull chicken breast on the inside. The pieces are quite large. Their fried rice is killer and I find myself craving it! I highly recommend you check it out.
Like I said two people can eat her for $10! -

I have been to many Chinese restaurants through out the years and Mui's by far is the best that I have tasted. Their portions are HUGE and enough for 2 in most cases well worth the $$$$. I have NEVER had a bad meal from Mui's which I cannot say for any of the other Chinese restaurants that I have visited. The service is ALWAYS friendly, quick, and the food is piping hot and delicious. The sweet & sour sauce is the best around. Once you try Mui's you will find yourself craving their food when you need your "Chinese food fix".
