This is probably one of, if not,  the biggest water parks I have ever been to.  It took us about 10 minutes just to get from the entrance to the first lazy river!  haha.  That's right...they have multiple "lazy" rivers.  (And oh yeah, it's also a theme park, I think)  They got indoor & outdoor parks so there plenty of room to roam.  To do everything in the park in one day is probably not gonna happen but after a weekend of camping, all we really wanted to do was relax so a good amount of time was spent at the slower lazy river.

I know if you're staying at one of the huge resorts at the Dells, you've probably got their (multiple) water parks to check out.  And for me, that would probably be enough.  But if not, this place is definitely worth a day to explore.

My biggest knock on the place is the over-priced food but what can you expect from a water/theme park?  Oh yeah, the huge hill at the exit/entrance we came through was no fun on the way out either.

It looked a lot bigger when I was younger...but now I realize it's a little small. We stayed at Mykonos, which got us a deal for admission with the theme park/water park. Wooden roller coasters are really jarring and to be honest, Hades was the only really good one because it goes underground twice which adds a thrill...but at the same time all wooden rollercoasters feel rickety and unsafe. You have to pay extra to do the really fun things like the slingshot ride, and bungee jumping, and pendulum looking-like ride (sorry I don't know exactly what they're called =\ ) As for the water park, Poseidon's Rage wave pool definitely trumps the little kiddie wave pool at the entrace...keep walking into the park. At the beginning of the park, do the demon drop instead of the dragon tail body slide...it's a bigger thrill! There are 3 place for go-karting which was a plus.

Your admission bracelet has a barcode that is scanned at the entrance. You can use the barcode to make purchases within the park. $5 to rent a locker. $8ish dollars for funnel cake.

Many things to be said about Mt. Olympus. Ill try to make it short.

    Water park = eh.
Poseidons rage (one HUGE wave in a wave pool hits you i think every five minutes)...It was fun minus my top comming off.
Any water slide with a tube was awesome.

Hades is/was the only reason I go. Hands down. Who doesnt want to go under a parking lot when there on a roller coaster?

The other roller coasters arent up to par. (so go on them before you go on Hades)...also, if you have back problems, be careful, you will have neck and back pain.

Go Karts are sooo much fun....if your a kid.
If you have a liscense....yeah...not so much fun.
Prices is acceptable for what they are offering.

Go on a day when its not croweded or else it isnt even worth waiting in line.

I came here a while back on a trip to Wisconsin Dells with my family. They have probably added a few things since then, but it doesn't look like much. The water ride was alright, not the best I've ever been on. The roller coasters were all wooden and rickety. It was neat to go on a wooden roller coaster since there aren't many of those left, but I felt like I had whiplash afterwards - they were pretty rough. I don't know if I would go back or not, it was ok but not great.

If you're going here for the water park, go to Noah's Ark, way better.

If go carts and the roller coasters is your thing, you'll have a great time. Lines can take a while for go carts but well worth it. Roller coasters also rocked

3 stars because I came here for the later park which was "meh" and nothing compared to Noah's Ark. Also, I came here in June and the pools were freezing. Let's just say a certain part of me still hasn't come back to normal size yet :D

This place is kinda cutesy maybe for the Dells. But to me, it was really cheesey. The roller-coasters are too small and rickety. The go-karts are completely unadventurous. And EVERYTHING is too spread out.  There should be like a central location that everything branches out to, but that's not the way it's setup. It's just kind of a disaster. I say, save your money. Not worth it.

We took my 5 year old son for a quick 3 day trip to escape from Chicago for a few days.  We got an amazing deal which is why we stayed.  We had a promo code and it ended up costing about $250 for two nights.  That includes admission to the indoor waterpark, (it was still too cold for the outdoor park) the indoor amusement park, and the outdoor amusment park.  It was great because we could use our park passes the day of check in and check out.  The outdoor park was only open on the day of check out due to incliment weather.

We booked online and had a promo code.  There was an option that said "Book by phone and save $15/night."  Well when we called, the lady told me "No your wrong" and quoted me $100 more than the website.  She told me "Its not cheeper online, and if you think you can do better then I suggest you do that."  Good greid

This was our first trip to The Dells, so i dont have much to compair it too.  So here are the Pros and Cons.

    Pros:
    *Great deal for the offseason

*Super clean and HUGE rooms.  - our room had two rooms, one with a king bed for mom and dad (great for privacy at night.  It also had a pull out sofa.  Bathroom was a little small, but there was a seperate vanity outside of the bathroom which was nice.

*No carpet in the rooms!  (faux) Hardwood flooring.

*Plenty to do without having the leave the hotel grounds

    Cons:
*Amusment park (both inside and out) had very few rides for smaller tots.  My son is 5 and was limited to the go carts, tea cups, and a jumping gym deal.

*Beds are super uncomfortable and the sheets are paperthin...much like the walls

*REDICULOUSLY expensive drinks at the bar.  $20 for two cocktails and a pepsi.  Bring your own booze.

*Internet is really slow.  It isn't locked with a password.  I had faster service teathering to my iphone.

10 year old love love loved the Pegasus and Cyclops roller coasters, go carts (lord help him when he hits roads without bumpers on the curbs!) and Dragon's Tail. The 7 year old fell in between the kid rides and the big kid rides, but loved every bit of the water park. A great value for a full day of fun...  Short lines for a theme park at the end of July was an unexpected treat. Definitely a must-go-to at the Dells.

We went here because we had free waterpark-only passes from Valvoline Instant Oil change.  They apparently have a hook going on right now where they promote like CRAZY with free tickets, then try to upsell you at the gates.  We declined the upsell to include the theme park as well, since my fiance and I both hate roller-coasters.  Just gonna itemize from here on out:

    1) You have to pay to park ($5), which is lame, and there are no aisle markers (like A, B, C, etc) so GOOD LUCK remembering where you parked!

    2) The free tickets we received did not allow you the privilege of coming and going from the park, which the full price tickets do.

    3) They do NOT allow ANY carry-ins (water, coolers, etc.) and enforce this rule rigidly.  If you can come in and out you can leave a cooler in the car, but for us we couldn't so that blew.

    4) Of course, all food, beverages, tube rentals, and merchandise are ridiculously overpriced.  Fortunately, we brought nothing but our towels, sunscreen, and car key into the park.

    5) The outdoor lazy river is decidedly short on tubes, and while there is no one making you get out after one round, many people were cooperative and would give up their tube after one go-round, as there was always a crowd waiting at the edge for a free tube to ride in.  It was also very short, which made giving up your tube after one lap even more painful.  The lazy river was also not lazy - too many fountains and water jets that would pelt you at every turn.

    6) It is a long, long hike to the water park from the main gate that we parked by.

    7) POSITIVE: the wave pool, Poseidon's Rage, is AMAZING.  Best wave pool I've ever experienced.

    8) Indoor water park was kind of grimy, and mainly geared toward kids.

    9) We nearly died of heart attacks climbing back up OUT of the park to get back to our car.  Good God!  Did they have to leave such an enormous incline for people to attempt to scale?  It REALLY gives the impression that they are trying to KEEP YOU IN.

    10) They make you walk through the little sun screen and crap shop on both the way in and out, which is just stupid and congested.

All that said, if you get passes for free from your hotel or something, it's worth going but unless you are someone who enjoys roller-coasters, go-karts, AND water parks, the full benefit is probably not something you will experience.  We enjoyed ourselves though - it was worth every penny we didn't pay.  ;-)

This place we better 6 years ago when it was called "Big Chief," had shorter lines, was less expensive, and not packed with Wisconsin fatties who shouldn't be wearing bikinis.

I came here a few weekends ago as part of my first weekend trip up to the Dells in over half a decade.  I had fond memories of riding the go karts at Big Chief, so made it a point to come here.  I was pretty disappointed, but still had fun.

Our first stop was a go kart track called Poseidon.  The line ended up taking an hour!  After all that wait, we only got to do one lap on the track... I swear the last time I had gone we got to do at least 2 laps on every track we rode.

Not all the lines were that bad.  The rest of the go kart lines we waited in were 20 - 45 min, and a few of the tracks let us go 2 or 3 laps.  But still, the lines were long.  The only coaster we got on was Cyclops, because every other one had huge lines.  Someone told us they had to wait over an hour and a half for Hades.  That's crazy.

The water park was a little better, but not much.  I had a lot of fun at the wave pool, Poseidon's Rage, mostly because it required no line.  We also rode a few of the water slides (such as the huge almost vertical drop one) and those were fun but again we waited like 45 min.

Also $10 for an all day locker rental is just ridiculous.  On top of the already high admission price that just seems excessive.

So there is some fun to be had here but seems like you should go on a weekday to avoid the crazy weekend lines.

2.5 stars, rounded up to 3 for bell curve purposes.  6 years ago, I would've given Big Chief 5 stars.  How the mighty have fallen...

Best go-kart tracks in the whole Wisconsin Dells area.  The admission price is quite high ($40/person), but it helped to find the $10 off per person coupons in just about every visitors guide around town.  And I believe the go-karts alone were well worth the price to be able to ride them over and over.  But this trip, we decided to enter wearing our swim suits and take on the water park, which is included in the admission price.

Poseidon's Rage, with its nearly 9-ft tall tidal wave, was really cool, and surprisingly knocks you off your feet even way out in the far end where the wave gets down to only a couple of feet.

I managed to drag my wife on Triton's Rage, the family-friendly raft slide, and that was a real hoot, though it took us over an hour to get to the top of the ride.  We got to witness a family arguing with one of the life guards about not letting them slide down with their little one after waiting an hour and a half to get to the top.  ** Tip: check the minimum height sign before you climb to the top **

The Zeus rollercoaster was fun, if not a little jerky for a wooden coaster.  But I just HAD to brave Hades, the coaster that was recently featured on a Travel Channel show for being one of the top 10 fastest coasters in the world.  This is the one that drops you at 70 miles per hour before plunging you under the parking lot in pitch blackness for a full 8 seconds, and then whips you around to pass you right back through for another 8 seconds.  WOW, this one's fast, and well worth the 15 minute wait (yep, the lines were SHORT over the July 4th week).

Be prepared to spend an entire day, if not more, especially if you've got kids.  It's a huge theme/water park, and there's plenty to do and see here.  Also make sure you're prepared to spend a bit of cash, because you can't take any food or drinks in with you, and there were zero water fountains to be found.  Cans of pop are $3, and it cost us nearly $60 for lunch for 4.

Top 5 Reasons to go to Mt. Olympus

1.MILFS- Everywhere.  My neck got sore.

2.Poseidon's Rage- The craziest, most dangerous and fun wave pool I've ever entered.  They actually have grates on the walls for all of the watches, necklaces, and bathing suit tops that fly off.  I saw a lady twist her ankle and needed to be carried out of the pool.  This wave pool is no joke; I have the bruises to prove it.

3.The River Troy- The coolest lazy river I've ever had the pleasure of enjoy.  It's not your typical lazy river.  It moves really fast and has fountains shooting water on you at every turn.  Perfect to keep you cool on a hot summer day as you stare at all the Milfs.

4.WaterSlides- This place has a wild assortment of waterslides.  If you like fast they have fast.  If you like slow they do slow.  If you like "hey I hope my shorts go up my ass crazy" they have that too.  I tried them all and loved them all.

5.Indoor Water Park- There is a water park inside of a water park.  Whoever thought of that is a genius.

Two things to avoid while enjoying your day at Mt. Olympus

1.Hades- This roller coaster hurts.  No really it does.  I'm still sore a week later from the hell this coaster put me through
2.Hills- Who the fuck thought it was a good idea to make this park so damn hilly?  I want to go down a water slide not die trying.

I very possibly have been spoiled by Disney World trips, but ...

I brought my husband and two year old daughter to show them where I used to work  (in the indoor water park when it was still called. "Family Land").  The park is under new ownership (the family who owned Big Chief bought it) so admission now includes go-carts and roller coaster.  It isn't worth taking small children.  There are height requirement signs posted but SOME of them will let smaller children on rides/slides with you.  However, you have to ask the lifeguard or ride attendants, many of whom are eastern Europeans, so we received some conflicting answers.  We ended up spending exactly one hour in line for the "family ride" a raft tube slide ride.  We got to the top of the slide just to have Dmitri waggle his finger and tell us "too small".  We could have saved ourselves the time and trouble if only there would have been someone measuring (the guards at top appeared to be "eyeballing it", but I KNOW some of the kids they did let on were at least a bit smaller than "48) at the entrance to the attraction (a la Disney).

The park seemed grossly understaffed and did not have enough life guards to rotate throughout, hence ride attendants (not certified life guards) were "guarding" some of the kiddie pools and loading and unloading the water slides. I questioned the Director of Aquatics (after wasting 45 minutes more trying to locate the same) and he defended his guards' actions and also stated that they were "fully staffed under state law".  Now this may be true under Wisconsin state law, however, I feel the guards at my local Y and municipal pools are WAY more competent than many of the lackadaisical looking yahoos wearing the uniforms there.

The coasters and go-carts we did not manage to spend much time on, once again, a couple with a 2 year old is SOL here because there is no such thing as "fast pass" or "line share" tickets to help parents consolidate the process.

Bottom line, next time we'll be going to NOAHS ARK if we are ever again in Wisconsin Dells.

The only reason why we even went to Mt Olympus was because we were given 4 free passes through Blue Green. Legitimately, it is the only reason why we would ever come back to this waterpark.

It was overcrowded, the tube to person ratio was about 1 to 10, and that indoor pool? Death Trap. Of the three people in our party, two of us had some pretty serious cuts that were bleeding pretty profusely.

The wait times for the slides were all too long and not entirely satisfying.

We went to the Dells for this park, and it was entirely lackluster. Poseidon's Rage was the only highlight - it was pretty impressive. Almost surf-worthy.

The outdoor waterslide was closed caused we went off season, so I am only commenting on inside water park. I couldn't get my 4 year old daughter out of the water! She had a blast. The only thing I wish is that the lifeguards would enforce the pool rules better. The kids waterslide area  says no kids under 48", but kids over that height were on the slides and the lifeguards said nothing.

The water could be a little warmer.

Other than that it was fun for all ages. They had four water slides for adults. 2 with tubes and 2 you go down without tubes. Also, they had a hot tub, but be aware that 6 years old and over are allowed in tubs...Don't forget this is a FAMILY water park.

Oh and they do have a lazy river and a concession area with seating on main level as well as upstair.

The first time I went to the dells, it was the middle of november so all that was open was the indoor water and theme park. The indoor water is a cute little place with a fun lazy river, 2 hot tubs and a few water slides. I wish there were more rides but can't complain.

The indoor theme park how ever, oh what a joke! I just came back from the dells and they have removed the best ride they had in there. Now they have a cute small roller coaster, some play area for kids, terrible lazer tag and games. When i went this time, all the workers were just sitting around together and when they saw us come to a specific ride they would get up, do their job and sit back down.

Thankfully though, I came early enough that the outdoor theme park was still open on the weekends. They have a few rollercoaters, which were amazing. Wood rides always scare me and these really freaked me out. They go high, fast, and under ground. They have a few go-cart courses which were fun. You are only supposed to go around 3 times or so but the workers were so lazy they just let us stay on about 20-30 times. It gets old fast. And on top of that, i lost my flip flop. DAMN YOU DELLS WORKERS! go back to school

If you like Go-Karts this is the place to go to. The roller coasters are also pretty fun. Hades is my favorite. The Go-Kart tracks are pretty good, but for the amount of time you wait in line it didn't always feel worth it.

They have lockers you can rent to keep your towel in when you are not in the water park.

    Great water/theme park! Highly reccommended.

I highly underrated the outdoor theme park. The roller coasters are all wooden, and seemed dinky to me- a big roller coaster fan. I was way off- I found myself screaming my head off 30 seconds in. Good thrills. Long lines, but you're at a theme park, what do you expect? Downside, however, is that each coaster only has one car.

The outdoor water park is fantastic! The big wave pool, Posideon's Rage, is the best. The waves are extremely tall and just a ton of fun. I couldn't drag my family out of there for hours. The water slides are also fantastic and a great thrill. If you're an adrenline junkie, you must go on the Devil's Drop (or at least it used to be called that), a giant slide that literally goes STRAIGHT done. Absolutely terrifying, but addictingly fun.

The indoor theme park is mostly arcade games and laser tag, but the roller coaster called OPA! it a must try. Mediocre thrill, but very fun with small children and more fun than you will anticipate.

The indoor water park is a great place for children 6 and under.

My wife and I went kidless for our anniversary this year. I have never been to Wi Dells before and his place was a blast. We went for the night at teh park and it was nice because it was not as crowded as the day. One of the most fun things were the go carts, you can actually drift on the metal plates at teh tops of the ramps. The water slides rock and the lazy river is nice but not as long as Noah's Arc. I would go there for adults and teens but not little kids.

Mt. Olympus was my very first water park experience...the first time I went on a water slide, too.

The day we ended up going, it turned out to be on the chillier side (about 70).  As a result, we indulged in the indoor water park area the most.  Renting a locker cost us $5 in the end (you pay $10 to start, and get $5 when you return your key by the end of the day).

There were water slides where rafts were allowed, and there was always a lifeguard at the end of each water slide to ensure you got out OK.  There were little kiddie pools and a stationary pool with basketball nets on each side.  There was also a hot tub.

I really had a great time on the indoor slides.  I felt bad for the poor lifeguards and attendants, as they just looked SO BORED.  One girl at the top of one of the non-inflatible slides didn't even utter a word - she just picked at her nails and signaled when the little "go" light was green.  People in general were friendly and respectful to one another - we put our towels and sandals on a chair and no one ever touched them.

We didn't try the outdoor rollercoasters, but those are available as well.  I was surprised the lines were so long on a Thursday afternoon on such a cool summer day!  There were also "indoor" coasters and rides, but they seemed to be geared towards kids.

It IS a very long walk from the parking lot to the indoor water park.  They won't let you take in any liquids like bottled water, so leave that in the car.  Oh, and you have to pay for parking.  I think it was $15.  Eek.

Most hotels have deals for Mt. Olympus, so don't do what I did and buy your tickets online!  Buy discounted tickets when you get to the Dells!

Terrible, awful experience for parents of young children!

We visited Mt. Olympus this past weekend, and although I am 7 months pregnant and cannot ride any of the rides, slides, or even swim in the wave pool, I was told that I HAD to purchase a $40 all access pass if I wanted to set even one toe in the water - I wanted to stand at the edge of the wave pools, literally ankle deep, to supervise my 2.5 year old son as he played.  I was not allowed to do so.  The manager told me I could either let him swim alone (yeah right!) or buy the $40 pass, which I couldn't actually use.  This is discriminatory AND extortion.  I do NOT recommend this place.

This is an awesome water park in Wisconsin Dells. I have been going with my family here for years. And each year it just gets better. The bigger half of the park is a water park, filled with all kinds of fun things to do -- wave pools, water slides, kiddie pools, and much more. And the other side has a mini golf course and some fun rides. Its a great place where the entire family can find something fun to do!

I stayed in a hotel near this water park once. I had a ball while I was here. The water park is one of my favorite things to Mt. Olympus. This wave pool, gotta try it. I don't know how the waves are, but one thing's for sure: you get up & down by 'em. Even this water park has those sky high water slides and a dehydrating stairwell, but worth the wait, or running to the water slides. The amusement park, will be back again once we plan a trip to the dells. The Parthenon has a roller coaster, laser tag, my most favorite activity. Mini-bowling, and more. I overcame my fear of roller coasters while I was there. My most favorite roller coaster is: (drum roll, please) HADES! I even like the water ride over there. The indoor water park, I also liked. If you like all this, then you should try it out for yourself, and the family.

What a great place!  Mt. Olympus has an indoor waterpark, an outdoor waterpark, an outdoor theme park (including, I believe, 7 rollercoasters and 7 go-cart tracks), and a small indoor theme park (including a wild mouse rollercoaster).  We had so much fun here!  The waterslides are great, but the best part has to be the go-carts and Poseidon's Rage.  Poseidon's Rage is a wave pool on steroids... with the smaller waves being about 4-5 feet, and the large waves being 7-9 feet tall!  The waves hit you with so much force that you go under and are washed back about 15 feet.  Even sitting in the shallows, you will get knocked back pretty far.  This was such a blast that we spent a good deal of our time at the park sitting in Poseidon's Rage or watching other people enjoying it.  The go-cart tracks are pretty cool, too.  My favorite was Poseidon, which spirals up into the air about three stories on wooden tracks (you can feel the planking shifting under your car), then goes back down and underground (this is the "underwater" part that they advertise... it just goes under a small pond).  I didn't do any rollercoasters because I actually wasn't feeling very well, but my husband went on Hades and said that although it is not the tallest or fastest rollercoaster, and being a wooden coaster it has no loops, it was still the most intense coaster he's ever ridden.  He said there are two parts  that go underground, and between the rattling and creaking of the wooden coaster and the screams of the passengers, it really did sound like the screams of the damned!  Honestly, I can't think of a reason to go back to  Noah's Ark now that we've discovered how cool Mt. Olympus is!  Poseidon's Rage blows Noah's Ark's wavepool, well, out of the water, and the slides are just as, if not more, fun than the Ark.  Added to that are go-cart tracks, rollercoasters, and an indoor waterpark with relaxing hot tubs and even a basketball pool and kiddie area.  Oh, and did I mention it's WAY cheaper?  Especially if you're staying in the area... a lot of hotels give free Mt. Olympus tickets with stay, and ours gave us a $7 per ticket discount.  Next time we're in the Dells, we'll DEFINITELY be going back to Mt. Olympus!

We had a blast  at this enormous park. It has tons of water rides, an indoor water play area, and some roller coasters, too! They had good group rates compared to other nearby parks.
