9 reviews for Ms. Dahlia's Cafe
Just went back today for a tuna melt sandwich ($6), which was really tasty: rich in flavor, with just the right consistency. I also tried the cucumber lemonade ($3 small, $4 large), which was deliciously refreshing, and the cucumber definitely adds an extra kick.
Since last week it seems that they have more pastries and cookies
I also noticed the espresso machine....sweet! I'll definitely have to give that a try.
Please also note that this is one of the few places of this kind in the neighborhood that is open on Sunday.

Balthazar's bread in Bed-Stuy. I repeat: Balthazar's bread in Bed-Stuy! Need I say more? Well, I… Read more »
The BF lives steps away from this cafe. What a nice addition to the neighborhood! The place is sleek and modern. Came here on a Saturday morning, and it was bustling with people. Some on laptops, which I am guessing, that they have wi-fi?
I got a medium cup of coffee, which was solid. We also tried a bread pudding that was baked in an aluminum cup and also bought a baguette. All the breads are made by Balthazar, pricey but well woth the $5 for a baguette. Just remember it is delivered from the city to this cafe in Brooklyn. You are paying for the gas, and the labor that goes into making the bread.
I really liked the bread pudding. Lots of raisins, and a bit crusty. Yummy ;-)
BTW...the staff were friendly and helpful and all smiles!!
Will be back very soon.
My temp. roomie and I decided to make the walk over on a rainy/gloomy Saturday, and this place totally brightened my day and kicked started my weekend just right.
This place is uber-cute and comfortable, not to mention the staff was really friendly. Daphney helped us today and she was all smiles.
I got the espresso double shot with their homemade blueberry muffin. The muffin was soo good, and my espresso was just the way I like my man. Strong. =)
They have other breakfast foods that smelled delicious. I'm looking forward to trying their bread pudding. I'm so glad I live down the street.
We'll be back shortly! =)

Came back again Sunday. Banana Muffin!!!!
Everything I had at Dahlia's has been delicious. The size might be an issue but personally I like the cozy, homey feel. This will be my weekend spot when I don't want to travel since it sooooooo close to me and like I said, everything I've had so far has been good. The service people there are very polite. They tend to every customer as if they're a VIP. My only issue was with the young boy's pants being disturbingly too low (at least for my taste) but I looked pass that and just focused on the food.
I visited Ms.Dahlia's cafe and was impressed by the decor however it was really small and my cappucino was mostly foam as well as having a "splenda" aftertaste. Maybe next time I'll just have the cucumber lemonade...I'm afraid ill waste my three bucks again on a hot beverage. I really
wish it was more spacious, I felt that everyone was on top of eachother. I did leave a tip though being that the cashier was friendly and hospitable.
Love a cool place to have coffee and just chill. It's not a big shop, but it packs a wallop with it's coffee and desserts. Dahlia's does have lunch foods and I love the music. I enjoyed my coffee and brownie Deeeeeelicious. Just what this cool hip neighborhood needs.
Definitely my favorite spot in the neighborhood. Everything about it is great; The smiling staff, the music, the flowers out front and the tasty food. A good place to grab a fast bagel in the morning, a take home dinner or dessert. As well as a good spot to meet other people in the area.
FIVE STARS because I have lived in this neighborhood for going on 8 years and this is THE FIRST place of this "type".
Only been once so far, but I will be back many times, I'm sure.
Why? What do I mean by "this type"?
Friendly, neighborhood-y and neighborly, clean and modern style.
Great sandwich. Wonderful breads and pastries.
I can't wait to go back! I just hope Anita Baker happens to be playing on the radio again, as that certainly made the experience even better!
PLEASE GO HERE OFTEN; we need places like this in our neighborhood!
This place is so great! I walk past it on my way to the train every day and the smells that come out of this place are glorious!!! I stopped in for a weekend coffee and the staff told me where everything comes from and what they make and when they make it (always fresh) and then gave me a free sample of a really great cucumber lemonade. I am super picky when it comes to coffee but this is definitely good coffee. It's sort of chocolate-y and just all around delicious :) Oh, and great music, too.
