Mr Lee makes a great bespoke shirt for the price.
Great attention to detail!

Keeps irregular hours.  Don't expect to see him at the time you schedule.  Nothing special about the quality and so I would say that the frustration of dealing with Mr. Lee results in a cost that is more expensive than it is worth,

I got my husband some customized clothes for his birthday this year, and bought him a custom shirt from Mr. Lee's.  My husband picked out the fabric, the collars, the cuffs, everything, and did two fittings.  The shirt was amazing--the stripes lined up perfectly at every single possible seam, and the quality of the fabric and the stitching were superb.  A sharp-looking shirt completely handmade for this price could easily go for twice this much in Beverly Hills, so don't let the unassuming, cluttered shop deter you.  The photos of celeb clients dotting the walls should help provide reassurance as well.

Mr. Lee's prices have gone up, and it's now $165 a shirt (or $150 each for three), but they're amazing . . . .not to mention incredibly fast.  Turnaround time is 2 - 3 weeks on average.

I'd highly recommend for the metrosexual in your life . . . .

I am a former Pink junkie.  And no, I don't mean the tattooed music artist, I am referring to eponymous shirt maker...very popular among banker boys with lots of money to burn.

Then I went to Hong Kong and visited my cousin's tailor.  Oh boy.  Nothing, and I mean nothing sets you right like a custom made dress shirt.  Normally, I have abysmal self-esteem, but not in my custom shirts.  No sir.  No weird flappy parts of cloth on a breezy day, no man boobs, no tight left cuff around my watch, no more fear of auto-asphyxiation from buttoning the top button.  And all of that for a whole lot less than a Pink shirt.  Well, I realized that not everyone has the time, money, or desire to go to Hong Kong...although I do recommend it as it's the coolest city in Asia.

The best alternative stateside is Mr. Lee.  Mr. Lee is from Hong Kong, and you can get all the custom made glam right here in LA in his little shop on Fairfax.  Shirts will set you back about $100, but you can pick the fabric, the collar, the cuff...you pick everything.  Then you just get measured up and wait a couple of days for the friggin' best fitting shirt you'll ever own.  And these shirts are a bargain compared to Ascot Chang shirts which are at least 3 times as much.
