THANK YOU MR. DETAIL!
(Quick History Lesson) I recently went to an inexpensive auto shop to get my car fixed because I don't have much income now a days because I am a full time student and all. Be as it may, I got what I paid for.. I received my car back with the whole inside trashed with garbage, mud and dirt stained EVERYWHERE. Not to mention I have brand new scratches on the exterior of my car.
MR. DETAIL saved my sanity. I received nothing but an exceptional service. Being that I am a full time student, they were able to pick up my car and returned it before I was off. They went above and beyond of what I was expecting, and they even did me a favor and removed those scuff scratches with no additional charge. The interior steam did wonders on my carpet and leather, that I would have thought would have been impossible.
I am definitely satisfied with my service and I am extremely happy that they turned my night mare into a pleasant dream~ -

Thank you Mr. Detail!!!
I brought my car here over the weekend for the complete detail package with UV treatment. It was a Groupon deal recently. Let me start by telling you that my husband's car was revolting beyond belief. The back window had a leak for about a year and the trunk currently has one, the carpeting on floor was the color of mud due to not having floor mats and this thing had not been cleaned on the inside for years. Disgusting. The outside of the car had moss growing on it from being parked outside in Seattle for the last five years and the paint was a dull version of its original self due to only being cleaned a handful of times at cheap little drive through car washes since moving here. That being said, I wasn't expecting amazing results. I just wanted to have the car no longer be deemed a bio hazard because I am now its primary driver. I figured that bringing the car here would just make it bearable to drive at best.
I brought the car down to the Westin the evening before my appointment and apologized profusely to the valet at the hotel for putting them in the position of having to drive it down to Mr Detail. I was going out of town for the day Saturday and planned to pick my car up Sunday. I didn't have cell service all day on Saturday while they were working on it but when I got back into town that night I had three messages from Mr Detail updating me on their progress and finally telling me the car was ready to be picked up. On Sunday I went to the valet stand at the hotel (which by the way you can do at any hour) to get my car and when the driver pulled up I was in complete shock. My car looked brand new! Then I got into the car to drive away and could not believe what I was seeing. The interior was unrecognizable. Every little piece and corner of the car was cleaned to like-new perfection. All signs of the car's previous state are completely gone and it smells amazing. Even the trunk, which was maybe the scariest part of the car when I brought it in, is now spotless and shows no signs of water damage. I still can't believe the work that these guys did for me! My only regret is that I didn't take a before picture because I am pretty sure this transformation could go down in the record books.
I dealt with a few people between booking the appointment, calling to ask questions about what to expect and speaking with Dustin (the person who worked on my car/detailing magician) about the job they did after it was complete. Every interaction was so friendly and helpful. The customer service at this place goes above and beyond. Sorry to gush but this was a pretty fantastic experience and now I have a 97' Altima that feels like a new car. I definitely didn't think that was possible. Bring your scuzzy old car to these guys. They will transform it. -

Why?
When I first went to Mr.Detail, I was amazed by how professional they were. When I went to pick up my car, everything seemed very good but when I take a look the next morning on a light, I noticed they missed some dirty spots. So I mentioned that I wasn't 2 happy with their work on my yelp review and gave them a 4 star.
Here is the freaky part, I received a call the next morning from them. They said they saw my feedback and they would like to go over the spots they missed. They said its important that I am satisfied with their work so I can take my car back to them and it will be NO CHARGE!
They cleaned the parts they missed and they vacuum my car again. I thought that was VERY NICE! They were extremely nice and they did an excellent job on my car. I will definitely go back! -

I have had the honor of working along side Tom and Mike on SAM970, Americas first Air Force One at the Museum of Flight. I operate a successful high-end detailing company in Los Angeles (for over 20 years) and I was very impressed by these guys. To began with just to make the elite "Air Force One" team one would have to be a service business that stood above the rest. Their work ethic and character is at such a high standard that is rarely encountered now days. Their attention to detail and professionalism is first class. Over the last few years I have watched as they have grown their business in leaps and bounds! Mr. Detail Auto Salon is a first class act!!

I was at the Westin location and came here because of the Groupon deal. I went with the basic package.
I'm sad to report that I would not go back to this outfit, not even with another Groupon deal. They did an awful job cleaning my car, which is a small roadster and isn't that old (2006). I had to point out some of the areas they missed and they came by to spray and wipe these areas (which could scratch the paint - I found this unprofessional).
On top of the poor performance quality, they were slow. When I made the appointment and when I spoke with them again in the morning, they promised my car to be done by noon or 1, but I called back at 3 (note, I had to call them, they did not call me as promised) and they still hadn't finished the car.

I had an exterior detail package done by Mr Detail. When they we're done i noticed blue metallic flakes in the paint of my car i never knew were there! Also cleaned up a lot of minor scratches i had. They pointed out several dings that i had and recommended their paint-less dent removal service at a fair price. I couldnt afford it at the time but i will definitely bring it back to have it done. My cars paintjob is now smooth as glass and now a "head-turner". Thanks for the great job Mr Detail!

I tried Mr. Detail on a whim, having purchased a Groupon for it at random.
Let me begin by saying my 2002 Mazda was literally GROWING MOSS and hadn't been washed or vacuumed in literally years, since we don't drive it too often.
Mr. Detail came to my house and transformed my car, for real! They got out a stain on the interior that had been there for 7 years, and I discovered that the paint job is actually white. What! I felt like I traded up when they were done. And I love that they come to your house for a fairly low additional fee (super key since I have two kids).
I've solicited some other detailing joints and haven't been half as pleased. When it's time to do it again, I'll be calling Mr. Detail. -

I've never had a full detailing on any car before, but after my first visit to Mr. Detail, I may be addicted! My 7-year old Jetta came back looking shiny and new! I was completely amazed at how good it looks.
Scheduling was easy, and I got amazing service every step of the way. Everyone was very professional, and I really felt catered to. Every nook and cranny of the car was cleaned, and even the trunk was organized! All the services & prices were clearly spelled out for me before I dropped off the car, and when I picked up later that day, we did a thorough walk-through of everything that had been done. I was stunned... I never expected the results to be this good!
High-class service at a very good price. I'm a huge fan, and you should be too. -

Mr. Detail is the business that finally encouraged me to write reviews on yelp instead of just reading them.
I have been to both locations for various services. Jason at the Westin was especially awesome. He takes such sincere care with every detail & has definitely set a standard of perfection. I highly recommend the machine polish. I thought my paint was ruined (country driving, various (self/ill installed) racks, supermarket door nicks & auto car washes) but Jason proudly delivered her good as new.
The Columbia tower was a really good experience as well, and you can't beat free parking to work in that Starbucks.
Pricing is extremely competitive, especially considering their premier locations.
I currently live in Portland, but I will be returning to my Seattle home when I need any of the services that these guys provide. -

okay, spendy for my mom bomb Mazda minivan even with my Groupon deal...( I spent 170, then 20 extra for my vehicle being a van and then tax of almost 20 and then my tip of 20...)
so..roughly 230.
BUT, I told them i dropped off a Mazda minivan and I picked up a BMW! They did an EXCELLENT job cleaning, inside and out.
side note: I called the day before, they told me to bring my van in at earliest 8am the next day and they were done at 3pm. -

Is it normal to lovingly pet your car? Who cares...I did!
I upgraded my car wash coupon from GroupOn and got a Deluxe Detail package. Now...everytime I get my car "detailed" I set my expectations really low. There is always something that the guys miss. Not Mr Detail. Honestly, they did not miss one spot.
The words "holy sh*t" tumbled out of my mouth when I saw my car roll up. Now, my car wasn't filthy to begin with, but I had flashbacks to me picking my shiny new vehicle 18 months prior. It was SPOTLESS. I did a 360, I pet my car, I opened every door, looked under every floor mat. I looked through every nooked and cranny...it was spotless. They even cleaned the bumper cover of my cargo mat! Who does that?! Ah...my car is as smooth as the day I picked it up from the dealership. I. AM. HELLA. IMPRESSED!
I also have to give shoutout to Jason and Mike (?). Mike (I think that is his name) took my appointment over the phone, explained their process and set my expectations of what they can do. Jason greeted me and took my car in. He was fantastic! We went through my car, I pointed out each area that I wanted additional attention paid, he took it all in and got it done! (and then some - bumper mat. You hear me? He cleaned my bumper mat!)
Simply AMAZING! I am already telling my friends and their friends of Mr Detail's amazing work. I wil definitely be back!! -

Bought a detail on Group-On last August and was finally able to schedule the Deluxe service this week.
First off they charged a fee to come to the car instead me of bringing it to them. Then they charged a Fuel Surcharge to come to Kirkland - which is 7 miles from Dtwn Seattle. But there isn't a surcharge to travel to Greenlake.
Then they charged a fee for an SUV - which is just lame because they don't state they charge a fee for a Lincoln Town-car, or a Mercedes S Sedan - which is actually larger than my Land Rover. Now you might say there is a surcharge because the vehicle is higher - but since they don't really address the roof when waxing - its a moot point.
Next - I purchased an "Auto Detail" - where my expectation was something far superior than taking it to Brown Bear, Rose Hill Car Wash, or White Swan, etc.
The cleaning was a decent job - but to be honest, the only difference was they put a coat of wax on the vehicle.
When completed - I had to ask them to address the Door Jam Areas around the tailgate. There were crumbs and such in the crevices of the console area - which they said was "extra" to clean -but they'd "help me out". They did not really clean the rims, or the brake dust on the the front rims, that was another add on service.
I paid $50.00 for the Group-On promotion, which was supposed to be worth a $100.00 plus detail.
If paying $100.00 to have someone was and wax your car is in your budget - go for it. -my expectation for a Detail is just that - the car is sparking inside and out.
So my $50.00 group on, cost me an additional $35.00 with the Fuel and Travel surcharge.
I feel like I wasted my money. If you use these guys, make sure you understand specifically what they are going to, and what is not included in their pricing - from my best guess, if I had spent about $250, I would have got what I expected.Comment from Mike R. of Mr. Detail Auto Salon 4/27/2010

I got a great deal at Groupon and ordered a Deluxe Package mobile detail service for both my husband's Civic and my CRV.
There was an extra charge (clearly noted in all information) for my CRV and I paid a bit more for pet hair removal as well as some paint transfer removal but still, WHAT A DEAL! Our cars did (as the other reviews say) look like they just came off a car lot. And these were two cars that had been WELL loved by a 3 year old and 2 shaggy dogs. There is no way either of us could have EVER gotten our cars that clean, even by spending twice the time they did.
Reggie and Jason came out to our house right on time and were professional, friendly and thorough with both cars. They showed us where we might improve even further on our cars but there was no attempt to 'upsell' nor take advantage of the fact they were already there.
In all, I got a KILLER deal on what was the best investment in my quality of life I've made in quite awhile-I forget how much better a REALLY clean car makes life. -

I learned about Mr. Detail through a Groupon deal, and waited until it looked like we're about to have a stretch of no rain before I booked an appointment.
My car had not been washed in over two years, not even a drive-through. I've taken it on forest service roads, and regularly visit a farm where lots of dogs and birds like to mark their territory. Because of the Seattle rain, it's not exactly filthy, but close.
The appointment included the starter package + hand wax, it took about two hours even with an appointment. Fortunately, I had the day off. There are lots of eateries in the two bottom floors of Columbia Towers, I opted to use the opportunity to have lunch at Salumi a few blocks away. Then spent $5 to visit the Columbia Towers observation deck. So if you have two hours free, you could do a lot worse than spend it detailed at this location.
When I got my car back, it looked brand new. They even cleaned and organized my trunk, which is completely unexpected and awesome. This whole weekend I could not stop staring at and petting my car. And they gave me a bunch of 10% off coupons.
This is going to become a yearly thing, I think. -

Summary: My car looks HOT!
Details:
I had a great experience with Mr. Detail (Westin location).
I researched a number of detail shops and went with Mr. Detail because of the great Yelp reviews, and also because they were the right balance of thorough work and affordable price. Some detail shops charge you less, but what they do is just clean the surfaces - glorified wash and wax. Other shops do full-on show-quality detail, which I'm sure it's amazing but not what I need for my daily driver. Mr. Detail was just right: They do all the true "detail" cleaning as part of packages, and offer more as extras if you want 'em.
Appointment setting was super easy, the person I spoke to was professional and friendly.
When I dropped off my car I was greeted by the person who would be working on my car, Jason. He was super friendly and helpful. He inspected my car and we talked about packages and extras. When we talked about extras he gave me information - not a sales pitch. I felt really clear on my options and how much they would cost. I got the Deluxe Package with steam clean nooks and crannies.
Jason called me for pick up right when he'd estimated. When I got there my car looked amazing, but seeing it all clean and waxed made me realize I wanted to try to get rid of some of the scratches and swirls in the paint. I have done detail work on my own cars in the past, and I know that all the waxing in the world isn't going to take those swirls and things out. To do that you need to do clay bar and polish - so I asked about doing that.
Even though he'd already waxed it, Jason happily offered to do the additional polish work. He explained everything he'd be doing and gave me an estimate, and luckily he had time for it that same day.
I picked up my car at the end of the day and it was near PERFECT. I did find one place that was missed - getting the gunk out of my sunroof seals - but because of the great service and overall very high quality I'm still giving 5 stars.
End result: My car is super clean down to all of the nooks and crannies I can never get into, the paint is shiny and protected from the elements, and my floors are totally sans crud. Did I mention it looks HOT? -

I saw this place on Yelp and am glad I gave them a try! My 97 Cadillac had been sitting in front of our house in rain, sleet and snow for the past three years and had numerous families of bees living in the door jams. I gave Mike from Mr. Detail a call and scheduled an appointment for 8 AM on Saturday. They were out there at 7:45 AM and were very efficient! They completed my full exterior detail and cleaned my engine in enough time for me to make my 10:30 AM hair appointment on time. They even helped me put my falling license plate back on...
I would definitely use them again. My mom is planning on having them detail her car ASAP. The follow-up email was a nice touch. Thanks, Mr. Detail. -

Recently used Mr. Detail to clean my 1997 RAV4 to prep for a dealer trade-in. The interior of my 12 year old car actually looked better than the brand new car I drove off the lot! I was completely shocked that my car could look that good. These guys were total professionals - sent a reminder email the day before, arrived a little late but called to let me know (and they travelled all the way out to my home in Sammamish using a GPS no less), finished my vehicle in the estimated amount of time, and followed up that evening with another 'thank you' email. Sadly, this kind of customer service is rare to find these days, and for that reason alone I will highly recommend Mike and Tom to anyone I know looking for a good detail.
I'll also add that I purchased the Starter Package, plus a $25 add on for pet hair removal. My car was an absolute petri dish of disgusting dog hair/food crumbs/ you name it. They managed to get it all and did an awesome job! Highly, highly recommend this company. -

Finding myself in a supreme nesting mode with just a few weeks to go until my baby is due, I researched auto detailing online and found these guys through Yelp.
I have never paid to have a car detailed in my life, so this seemed like a significant expense. We have two cars that needed some extra TLC so I emailed them at the start of Memorial Day weekend. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call back on Memorial Day and we scheduled for both my cars to be done a week apart. Scheduling was super easy and they were very accommodating.
I had pretty low expectations for service and attitude, and I was completely blown away. Pulling into the Westin valet was simple, and Jason was out there within moments of being alerted that I had arrived. He was fantastic and friendly, not ever making me feel like a 'dumb girl' with car stuff. He explained exactly what they were going to do. Both cars were ready in the amount of time they said they would need or less. Both cars look amazing... which is saying something, since one of them is an older cruddy mini-van that I didn't think was possible to really get clean. When I found a spot they had missed, they were incredibly responsive and invited me to bring it back for them to fix it. We got the deluxe interior/exterior for both cars, and I recommend it. If you are going to go to the trouble, get the steam cleaner in there on carpets and nooks and crannies.
When I went to pick up the first car, I had such a nice experience chatting with Jason and the gentleman working on another car who had recently had a baby. These guys seem to enjoy their jobs, each others' company and their customers -- it shows. They are trustworthy and reliable.
I would not go to anyone else for this service in the future and will be recommending them to all my friends and family! -

Yet another five star review for Mike and Tom of Mr. Detail!
These guys are very professional and did a great job on our 1994 Volvo, which hadn't been cleaned in at least ten years. They pulled up right next to the car, all their gear in tow, and spent two hours vacuuming and shampooing. Remarkably, they were able to remove stains and got all the dust and grime out of nooks and crannies.
I have only one complaint, and it's too tiny to merit the loss of a star, but keep it in mind if you use them. When I drove the car the first time after it was cleaned, I noticed that when I moved the gear shift and the steering wheel, there was still dirt in the areas that hadn't been exposed while the car was parked. Of course, it's impossible to clean a car while driving it, and these are the only missed areas I've found so, great job overall! -

I have a 1995 Toyota Tacoma. I don't really drive it much these days and I guess that can lead to moisture build up which can lead to other nasty things.
The cabin of my truck had mold growing in multiple places and so much moisture that an actual puddle had formed on the driver side floor. I shopped around but most places were pretty unresponsive when I called on a Saturday.
Mr. Detail, on the other hand, was awesome from the start. I got the interior package as well as the sanitizing service for good measure. I swear the inside of my truck has never been cleaner, at least not while I've owned it. They did a bang up job and didn't leave any nook and/or cranny uncleaned. They were also nice, personable people which is always a bonus.
I really feel like you get what you pay for with these guys. -

I was less impressed the second time around. Perhaps it was because I paid full price ($90 for inside/outside wash/wax/detail). Perhaps it was because I went on a Friday and they had three other cars to do and I wanted mine back within 75 minutes. Yet, they only took about 50 minutes last time and I HAD made an appointment and specified that. Anyway, my car came back clean but not dazzling this time. They had missed spots that I didn't see in the dark garage, but they were pretty glaring once I got outside. Cupholders weren't cleaned; dead bugs remained all over the front grill. Anyway, I may give them another shot, but I'll expect a bit less next time.

Mr. Detail is what every business should aspire to be. Dropped my truck off this morning. Mike called me at 2pm and told me I could pick it up anytime. When I arrived at the garage, two employees were working on another vehicle and both immediately dropped what they were doing to introduce themselves. They walked me around my truck showing me the work they had done. The exterior and interior looked new. My truck is 7 years old and hadn't had a true detail in 4 years. Great service and great results.

A fantastic experience - I will definitely be coming back here!
When I started researching car-detailing/car-wash places in Seattle, the one that popped up first and foremost was the Elephant Car Wash. However, their Yelp reviews were anything but exemplary.
A little more digging revealed Mr. Detail Auto Salon, with superb reviews all throughout. So, I thought I'd give them a try.
Jason was the guy I worked with. He was extremely prompt, and I was able to pick up my car within an hour of dropping it off at the Westin Hotel garage. And what he and his crew accomplished in that 45-minute time-frame sure impressed me.
I inspected the car then and later, and did not find any remnant of external grime or dirt. The hand-wash and the hand-dry made my car look like it did when I first bought it a couple of years ago. The attention to detail was noteworthy. And all this on just the Express package!!
Folks, do give Mr. Detail a try when the time comes to get your car washed/detailed - you will not be disappointed,

Mike at Mr. Detail was wonderful! He worked with my schedule, scheduled my appointment sooner than I thought was possible, came to me and restored my car! I have an old 1991 Toyota Camry and it hadn't had a detail - well, it probably has never seen a detail. They not only restored the color (it was slowly turning yellow from white) but they made the car look brand new. The best part? They did a full interior and exterior job in three hours. Amazing!
The best part was how friendly, courteous and professional they were. I will recommend them to everyone - no one can make getting your car detailed easier than Mr. Detail! -

They did an outstanding job on my little sports car. Like others, I learned about Mr. Detail through Groupon and bought the Starter Package and added on the engine cleaning. The staff, Mike in particular, was very friendly and professional. When I got my car back I looked in all the little places like the fuel compartment, and crevices under my trunk hood, all was spotless. I had been suspicious that they would be so thorough since they were finished in under three hours, but I guess they are just really efficient. They also took out some scuff marks in my bumper, they certainly went the extra mile. They are conveniently located to downtown and allowed me to pick up my car whenever I was available. I'll definitely be back. Thanks guys!

I read all the amazing review on yelp and thought to come here.
They cleaned it. But I think instead of paying someone to do a job i could've done better for almost $100, I could've paid some girl scouts or soccer team fundraiser $10 and it go to a cause and a clean windshield and then some instead of what I felt was down the drain. The main reason why people money for things they can do, is so they don't have to do themselves or because someone can do it better.
There were spots missed on the exterior, interior and some parts of the car were still wet and water spotted. The floor of the inside was not vacuumed cleaned as the package included this and the garage is so dark, that's probably the reason why there were so many missed spots, you can see a damn thing in there.
I came back to see what had happened and they tried to charge me more when I could've rubbed what was still on off with my finger. I feel like almost $100 and still have to rub sh*t off with my fingers and not feel like it was worth $100 job was very disappointing. I would've paid for that service but much less, plus I was expecting such a great job from what seemed like a great place to go to.

Our dog had an accident and urinated in the back seat. We tried to clean it with spray but it smelled even worse. After reading such positive reviews about Mr. Detail, we decided to get our car cleaned there. I called around 11 am and they were able to take me in at 1 pm the same day.
The place itself was easy to find as it is in the Columbia Center garage. We pulled up to where they were cleaning cars and was promptly greeted by Mike. He went over to the urinated seat and suggested we get the UV treatment ($70 for 2 hrs) as steaming the seat will not eliminate the odor by itself. They took our parking ticket and car keys and we were on our way to check out downtown. (If you want a nice view, check out the Starbucks on the 40th floor.) We walked to Pikes Market and then checked out the Gingerbread village at the Sheraton when Mike called around 3pm to say our car was finished.
We arrived back at the garage and Tom checked us out. We only expected to have the right seat steamed clean ($30) and the odor gone but Tom and Mike even steamed clean the floor rugs and rubber mats at no additional charge! They also cleaned our dog's seat belt that was on the ground! Thank goodness they did because our dog peed on that as well. They definitely exceeded our expectations and I highly recommend them to everyone!
We are very pleased with the results as the stinky urine smell is gone and the seat and mats are nice and clean. We are even more impressed with the great service from Tom and Mike and will definitely go back to Mr. Detail for our auto cleaning needs.In fact, I can't wait to have the rest of my interior cleaned from them very soon! -

I found Mr. Detail on Yelp and decided to give them a try based on their rating. Yelp comes through again! These guys did an amazing job on my poor, sad excuse for a vehicle. I don't think I've had the interior cleaned in almost 8 years, but now it looks like a brand new car. Mike and Tom are very prompt, courteous, professional, and their rates are more than fair. Highly recommended!

These guys came out and did a complete detailing job on my hatchback. They spent about three hours going over every nook and cranny, inside and out. My interior had several stains that I thought would never come out, but they were able to get it looking like new. Even the little parts got the full treatment, like the glovebox, the storage compartments in the doors, and the gas tank door. They did a fantastic job and I would highly recommend them. The added convenience of coming to your door is a big plus too.

I finally got tired of driving around in a dirty car, and since it's a really great car, I figured I'd pamper it (and me) and get a really good detailing. I chose Mr. Detail because their location at the Westin, with a 24/7 valet service, enabled me to drop off the car as early as I wanted and pick it up late in the evening. Little did I know that the convenience of drop-off and pick-up was just a minor thing, compared to the fabulous job they did inside and out, and how well they treated me and my car. They even cleaned up some scratches that I thought were beyond hope. These guys have my loyalty forever!

These guys are totally legit. I called in the morning and got an afternoon appointment, and over the course of two hours, my car was restored to a state it had not been in since it was driven out of the dealership. The Deluxe package thoroughly cleaned the interior and and cleaned and waxed the exterior. Great, friendly customer service, too. Coffee shops and food courts are upstairs, complete with free wi-fi. 10% off for first time customers!

I use to handwash and detail my car myself bi-weekly in the fire engine bay of a firestation. I had the time and space to do everything and I was very picky about how clean my car was. For the last 2 years, I've been taking my poor car to an automated carwash and haven't touched a vacumn to my car. I was happy to find Mr. Detail close to where I work and live. Although I had a difficult time handing over the keys to someone else to take care of my car, I was even happier when I picked it up and saw the quality of work. They not only met my standards of cleanliness but were also very kind and proved knowledgeable. Fair prices too. I'll be back!

Convenient! Affordable! Professional! Thorough!
I almost didn't recognize my 99 Honda Civic when they were done with it--the interior sparkled and even smelled like new-car... the exterior had a opalescent glow that I don't think it came with... Worth every cent, these guys are amazing.
Forget any other carwash/detailing service, this is the one you're looking for.
