Perhaps I'm in a foul frame of mind because I'm in New York with Yelp at my beck and call (is that how you spell it?) and I'm staying with my Kosher relatives.  So far, we've had two lousy meals while every other Yelper in Manhattan has his or her pick of the litter.

This place was terrible.  Where do I begin?  How about the multi-colored, dry turkey?  How about the rye bread that was so small they had to tape the turkey to the bread so it couldn't fall out?  And let's not forget the surcharge for lettuce and tomato.  There is a certain irony here because if ever a sandwich needed some help, it was this one, and it's the first time I've eaten at a restaurant with a lettuce tomato surcharge.  I kept searching the menu for a "lettuce/tomato" fee in case someone chose to bring their own lettuce and tomato but none was to be found.

I know there must be some good Kosher restaurants in Manhattan and I'm just hoping that we find one before I'm certifiable.

The food here is adequate, but seriously overpriced.  It's not worth it.  The waitress did tell me that it's cheaper when you take out though, which doesn't make any sense to me from a strategic point of view.

At least there's variety if you go with a large group and everyone wants something different (Mr. Broadway has classic deli, chinese, and sushi).
The outcome: Nearby Mendy's at E 34 and Park is better for Deli, Eden Wok at that same block is better for chinese and sushi.  Want to eat together?  Order to go from each and sit outside at Bryant Park.

Like a lot of kosher places, they sacrifice depth for breadth and come out not being very good at very much. I ordered the matzo ball soup and got the biggest matzo ball man has ever made -- about the size of a large grapefruit. Anyone worth their weight in matzo knows that the biggest obstacle in making a good matzo ball is density -- make 'em too thick and they're just no good. Well, making them the size of a child's head isn't a good way to ward off that trouble...

The service was on the low-end of mediocre and they had a per-person minimum ($5? $8? don't remember...) that forced my hand on ordering a fried wanton appetizer. Which was well-fried, but not appetizing.

Their sushi is on par with supermarket sushi, at best, and the miso soup tasted like broth, not miso.

I wasn't grievously offended by the waitstaff and I didn't get sick from the food so it could've been worse, but it was a pretty pointless way to spend my money. Overall, this place didn't leave me singing a good tune. (had to get a Broadway-themed joke in somewhere...)

Awful. Went with a Kosher vendor. You'd wonder how a place with more selection than a diner could be so much worse than a diner. No idea, but they have succeeded! How do you mess up/make bad cous cous and vegetables? I mean, I can even make better cous cous and vegetables and I'm a nightmare in the kitchen.  And mine won't cost $14!

Absurdly overpriced. Service was ok-ish. Lots of choices. for bad food.

I'm not sure why all the bad reviews for this place.  I've always had really good experiences with their chicken and pita.  The boneless chicken thighs are stacked up high on the kabob grill skewer and freshly shaved for your order.  You have your own choice of fixings and sauces from the small salad bar.  It's really delicious!  I've mostly had my food to-go from here.  There was one time I did a sit-down and remembered the french fries were also quite good.  My 4 stars are for the chicken pita. Yummy!

Though there is much to choose from, the food is seriously overpriced and, to be honest, not worth it. I paid thirty dollars for a rib steak I could have had at home for twenty less.
The waiter was extremely rude and confronted me about the fact that I did not leave him enough tip; this is after he got an order wrong, and we did not see his face until we practically yelled for our check from across the room.
There are really better choices for kosher dining in the area (I'm sure yelp can help with that. I'll stick to Brooklyn for meat)

Similar to the Olympic Grill for me except that my wife said that I have been reeking of garlic more than any other place that I have been to.  The guy at the register is a character.  If you don't have to eat kosher than falafel or shwarma make the most sense to me here.

Beware of Mr Broadway! My friends and I have a running joke that accuses this resturant's namesake of being a ghoul.  This is due to a menu printing that compressed the dapper actor into a sepulchral figure, not unlike Skeletor.  Mr. Broadway has lots of dishes, all of which are decent enough. It's main advantage is its location, affordability and variety; you can have deli or kosher Chinese food or other things. The Deli is decent, the Chinese is too greasy and bland. MB is noisy and plain but there at least are enough seats for groups of almost any size-not a sure thing in a kosher restaurant. We did enjoy our meals and tried to write a musical about Mister Broadway haunting the streets of New York..look for it on Off-Off-Broadway in a couple of years.

Wow - everyone seems to down on poor Mr. Broadway these days.  I happen to think it's great.  The large selection of fire kissed meats and attentive staff makes it a great choice for an afternoon kabob (in this area anyway).
