Moving Mountain Logistics is an all around fabulous company. Jesus and Kirk did an amazing job moving me out of a 3bd home. They treated my furniture like it was their own with a high level of care and grace.
The company's president, Sean Morris, communicated with me every step of the way. His original estimate was below the actual cost of my move. I was awestruck by his professional and caring manner.
This was by far the best move I've ever had and went above and beyond my expectations. I will never use another moving company again. Logistics is the way to go.
I found out about these guys by getting them recommended from Bay Area Box Express (another great company).
We needed help with a move from an apartment in SF to a house in Marin. The house is on a smaller road with poor clearance for a large truck. Many of the other movers I checked with only had 24' trucks which would have been too big so I needed to find someone who had a smaller one.
Moving Mountain is a local company in Marin and knows how hard it can be on some of the hilly roads. Sean the owner came to our apartment in San Francisco and did an estimate. The estimated price was pretty good for what we needed to move and he also provided a not to exceed ceiling.
Since I had warned Sean about access to the property could be difficult he drove by to check it out and ended up renting a smaller truck (at no additional cost to us) as his regular truck was too big.
On the day of the move, two really nice guys showed up and worked non stop from 8.30 to 5.30 PM carrying our stuff up and down several sets of stairs. The estimate ended up being on the low end and we hit the ceiling and they ended up working for free the last two hours. This had mostly to do with having to use two trucks. The smaller one they had rented and their regular 20' truck. Only the smaller one could make it to the house so they had to reload between the two trucks to make it work.
After researching, calling around to Delancy Street, Two Men, Starving Students, etc, I found that no one had time to come out for a survey and a quote. Finally, our mortgage broker, Randi Ryan (awesome!) told us to call Sean Morris at Moving Mountain Logistics. They came out and surveyed all my storage units and the loft and came in under all other bids!
Sean Morris was out of town (moving someone) the week we moved last year. His guys came out on time and instilled confidence in me right away. We had a tough move from two storage units and loft in San Francisco to a townhouse in San Rafael (in record breaking heat). The guys worked very hard and protected our things well. Only one lamp broke and they promptly offered to buy it (I didn't bother with that old cheap thing).
At the end of the move, they gave us a housewarming gift cake!
All in all, they did a terrific job and I will use them again. Thanks Sean and company!
