If I come back to Breckenridge, this is definitely a place I would stay! Staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating.
There are different buildings that you could be staying in. As for the main building (where the lobby is located): there is parking in a key access garage beneath the building, there is a fitness center, hot tub (really, really HOT), free shuttles that will take you and pick you up from anywhere in Breckenridge (7a-1130p), free wi-fi, and free ski/snowboard lockers. This is not a ski out location, but the shuttle will drop you off at the gondola or at Beaver Run. This IS a ski-in hotel; one of the ski run's that ends at the gondola, just so happens to swing directly at the back steps of the hotel lobby.
Our studio condo had everything in it that we would need...the only thing it doesn't have is a waher/dryer, but I certainly did not need that while on vacation :)
I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family! -

We had a group here. Wow. great service, free shuttle rides all around town.... great place. Big rooms, fireplace, kitchen... you wont be dissapointed.

I really liked the Mountain Thunder Lodge. It is Ski In (not really Ski Out, but the BreckConnect is more than walkable).
We stayed in the 1105/1106 Suite and it is well worth it! Great room, great staff, and overall fantastic experience. There are three hot tubs around the property and when they say 'hot' tub, they mean HOT. We had to jump in the snow once or twice to cool off.
In ski towns, you really do 'get what you pay for', and Mountain Thunder is no exception. If you are staying for a while, it's a destination vacation, spend the extra and have a true "vacation".
The lodge has a shuttle service, so if you go out, drink a little too much, they will come retrieve you. This is well worth it.
The Mountain Thunder is more than just a cool name, it's a cool place. -

let me tell you, planning a wedding when you're 1000 miles away isn't always easy. my husband and i were recently married in breckenridge and this was the hotel that i chose for us and our guests to stay at...sight unseen.
thankfully, this place did not disappoint.
it's a beautiful property in an excellent location. it's close to the center of town, yet it manages to be secluded and quiet at the same time. the rooms were incredibly clean, nicely decorated, and comfortable. the views were outstanding: our room overlooked the pool and the top of peak 8. the staff was very helpful and accommodating, plus the catering and events manager was easy to work with and gave us a decent group rate.
we stayed here in june, so i didn't get to take advantage of the ski in/ski out conveniences, but this winter i will definitely be back. -

Very convenient to Main St, friendly staff and very clean. I would definitely stay here again. One tip though. Stop at the Safeway in Frisco on your way in to stock up on groceries. The grocery store in Breckenridge is limited. Staying in a one bedroom condo was much nicer than a hotel. More homey and you can eat a normal breakfast or lunch so you won't feel stuffed all the time.

Superb. Clean. Friendly staff, excellent service and amenities.
Complementary shuttle is fabulous!
We stayed in a one bedroom suite. Much nicer than a standard hotel room and perfect for a couple with child (children). Easy walk to Main Street.
Everything was perfect.
