Review from hen a.
old historic mountain town of tehachapi...the land of four seasons...hanging sign over kitchen counter states...two-hundred-forty-three miles west of las vegas...mention three-hundred-thirty miles mostly south and some east of san francisco...and, over hundred miles north of los angeles...rural and past mining town...
long drive and arriving tehachapi...mountain crossing restaurant lunch...menu and standard american...adding of few mexican items...order of diet coke and prime rib sandwich....side of cottage cheese and liking...endless refills of diet coke frequent...sluggish service, but enjoying a slow-paced lunch...standard white bread slicing...seems pan oiled and browned toasty...thin deli slicing of prime rib...quite juicy and tender...guessing slow cooked to death...sip of soda, bite of sandwich and scoop of cottage cheese...basic meal and soda $fifteen....order of appetizer or dessert and facing $twenty plus....average homestyle meal that could use improvements... -
Review from Nicky L.

Went here for breakfast and it wasn't too terrible. There were two kids and two adults in my party.
I got the ham scramble and it was good though the fruit that came with it wasn't very mixed, just grapes and out of season honey dew.
The other adult got the corned beef hash special. No comment either way on that.
Kids got pancakes, which were big and plentiful, biscuits and gravy which got a blah and a side of bacon which was fine.
The service was very good, although I'm sure it helped that there was only one other table there. -

This place is terrible. Food was subpar and place was dirty and smelled funny. Spoke to our friends who had same opinion.

This place is probably fine if you just get a hamburger or something basic, and the salad bar is ok. However, stay away from the sirloin tips (the Tuesday special). They taste, and look, like they came from a can.
