I can't believe I was beat to the 'first review' of Motorwerks BMW.  I've purchased 2 cars from here so far and plan to purchase a third in the next year.

The first car I purchased was a late 90's Acura GSR with about 13k miles, a nice little car.  I financed it through E-Loan and had a great rate.  I worked with Craig Haggerty who I subsequently purchased my second car from as well.

Noone could possibly beat Craig Haggerty as a sales person.. he is the most geniune individual i've ever had the pleasure of doing business with.  Over the course of years and occasional visits he NEVER forgot my name, always came up and small chatted and NEVER refused a test drive (read: joy ride).  I was a young punk at about 18 when I purchased my first car.  The paperwork was done wrong, I showed up to pickup my plates and I aparently owed an additional $600 "on the spot, or they're taking my car" says the Financial Manager at the time.  I couldn't get ahold of Craig.. noone else was there and they actually took the car from me and gave me a 1970's station wagon parts getter with no brakes to drive home being I did not have $600 on me at the time.

I told Craig and lets just say that finance manager was never to be seen again.  That prompted me to return to trade up and get a Dakar Yellow BMW M3 Convertible.  It was an incredible car.. my dream car at the time.  Craig did everything he could to make the car work with my financial limitations and I couldn't have been happier.

I have turned many friends to Craig for their automobile needs and I even have a few friends who've never purchased a car from him but just happened to be there when I brought one of mine in.  He actually remembered their names as well and bantered with them while I was talking to the parts desk.

I'm serious, you've never experienced service until you've bought a car from Motorwerks and Craig.

I will be flying back to Minnesota from Los Altos, CA to purchase my next car directly from Craig, even if it means I have to ship it back to Cali.  Its worth it.

This is not a sponsored or requested review.. I've written hundreds of reviews.. none as glowing as this one though. :)

This is for Motorwerks MINI which is apart of Motorwerks BMW.

I was perusing cars for roughly a year - trading up from a VW to something a bit more practical; not sure how MINI fit that criteria in my mind, but I went along with it anyways.

After doing some extensive research I sent off an email to Motorwerks MINI asking for a test-drive. I waited two days before a response. Not a biggie. Upon arriving at the dealership, I was greeted promptly, and the test-drive went as expected. Great car, blah blah blah. Decided not to go for it during the dead of Winter. Thanked the salesmen and continued on my way back home.

Six months later. Spring. I'm ready to drop nearly $30k on a 2 door impractical hatchback. I showed up to Motorwerks on a Saturday morning. It was quiet. They had three salesmen working, and you know what? I couldn't get any of them to help me. Apparently they were too busy checking their Facebook (which I could easily see when I was poking around the showroom) instead of helping me. When I finally did get their attention, the saleswoman hardly gave me the time of day. I told her I had $xx.xxx dollars and wanted to drive home today with a black Mini Cooper S. Her reply, "oh." Yep. The conversation went on and I felt like I was talking to a wall. I'm not sure if she was hungover, upset, or what but it left a really dismal taste in my mouth. She wouldn't even walk me out to show me the car that I was potentially about to purchase because it was sprinkling outside. I told her I wanted to ask my girlfriend about the color (which was just a lie to get away from the saleswoman... or wall as I will call her now.)

After pulling out of the white .com esque BMW compound, I began to realize something. I'm paying a premium for a slightly-premium car, I expect premium service. So you know what? I drove over to Audi to check it out as I have had an Audi A3 in mind for months as well. And you know what? I was greeted instantaneously, brought an Audi branded umbrella (which I got to keep) to walk out to the car with the salesmen, a true walkthrough of all the car's components and technology. Personalized service. The salesmen even paired up my iPhone to the car to show me how it worked. It was an experience. And you know what, I purchased it solely based on the confidence the dealership sold me on.

Best car dealership I have EVER dealt with... ok I'm a little biased... This is the first dealership I ever bought a car at but I'm glad it was with them! (just a side note-I have looked at cars at lots of other places) The people that work here are so ridiculously helpful. Craig Haggerty being the best salesman hands down! A little background on the guy.. they moved him to management because he had been there so long and was so good and he actually went back to selling cars because that is his passion. Not only did he let me test drive my most fave car in the world(Laguna Seca Blue M3) but he taught me how to drive the SMG transmission... now that's service! Also.. when I got my car there (Orient Blue Metallic 323i) he went through and showed me every single option the car had. Amazing experience..this man deserves an award.. LOL. Anyhow they also offer free car washes every Saturday and it's not just a wash-they actually detail your car and serve free cappuccino and donuts while you wait. This is one of the few reasons I still wish I lived in Minnesota! I'm actually considering buying the Laguna Seca M3 from them in the next few years and driving it to wherever I live at the time. :D
