Ah! I'm trying to even out the distribution of my yelp reviews...but I just love this place so much! They sell motorcycles and sammies...what more could you ask for?
It's so serene and peaceful in there which you wouldn't expect from a motorcycle joint - plus they have a game of Apples to Apples under the counter which makes every bite of cash only home made food more delicious than the last.
Home of my 2nd favorite sandwich: the nemesis.
They treat each customer like a person - they listen! God knows listening can be hard, especially when you're listening to a babbler who just won't get to the point, taking long elliptical orbits around the point like a disoriented meteor! - That would be me... and they listen, and actually extract the point, help where they can, and do a great job at solving motorcycle problems or finding someone who can. Honest like boy-scouts, and able to leap tall Honda Rebels in a single bound - these gents kick derriere...
i don't know the first thing about motorcycles, but i do know that this place is a sandwich HOME RUN. I've been 3 times now and couldn't recommend it more - fresh ingredients, thorough veggie vs. meat options, unusual/cool atmosphere (vegetarian selections in a motorcycle cafe?)... and the best part is the way they toast the sandwich to get a bit of crispiness on the outside, but maintain the warm gushy middle of the awesome sourdough bread is just killer. today i'm having the red pepper, mozzarella and pesto. yum.
Definitely a 5 star place now. I went in for a breakfast bagel after a being on vacation for a couple of weeks. The woman who runs the place asked right off the bat if I was the one who had had the bad avo. I was very surprised she someone guessed it was me, and even more surprised when she bought my breakfast for me (was extremely apologetic). A great example of a business owner who really cares about their clientele. I will continue to frequent Moto-Java. And you should too. And if for some reason you get some bad avo, don't be lame and shy like me. Just tell her and she'll fix it!

I don't ride motorcycles. I think I might be the only one who frequents this place that doesn't. I… Read more »
I staggered in here with shift-lever in hand looking like some kind of crazed burnout. This on a good hair day. And while they didn't have what I needed, I learned something more important; these are some really nice guys who love bikes, and they work on them right out in the open, on frikin' Saturday. I will definitely be back. Used selection looked really nice and sparkly too, no junk! I would recommend Java as a stop for anyone in the market for a quality used machine or service.

The first time I stopped by MotoJava was because my sportster was giving me problems and even though they don't work on Harleys, Joe was nice enough to take a look at it, and then point me in the right direction. I saw some bikes online that MotoJava was selling, I thought I should go by there. Joe and Paul are the best, they are just honest straight shooters. They live up to their reputation for doing good work. I'm glad I stumbled in on the day that I did, because I ended up with a great bike, and I am confident that I am in good hands.

One of the hardest parts about leaving Seattle two years ago was leaving my trusted motorcycle mechanic of 15 years behind. Arriving in San Francisco after touring down 101, I was in need of a tune up and oil change if I was to survive the summer in the Bay Area. I luckily stumbled across Joe and Paul, and they have taken care of me like I was family ever since! Thses guys go out of their way to make certain that you are safe and roadworthy. Yay Moto Java!
Paul and Joe have a dream motorcycle shop coupled with a coffee and sandwiches joint. These guys are former racers and work on pretty much everything. It's a small place, and they're popular, so service can take time, but that's not their real focus. They find good used bikes and then recondition them for sale following a thorough, multi-point inspection.
The bikes move fast; if you see one in the shop or on their site you like, jump on it. It'll go, otherwise.
The main thing here is that these two dudes have an uncommon service ethic backed by real enthusiasm. This is the real deal for scoring quality used bikes at reasonable prices from people who not only won't jack you around, you're guaranteed to learn something.
if you like motorcycles and coffee, you'll love it here. actually, you don't even have to like motorcycles or coffee and i think you'll still appreciate the juxtaposition of two forms of speed. i would like to go back and sit in the leather chair and read a long magazine here.
