The best repair shop out there, period. My mustang died and at first I towed it to a dealer because it was close. The dealer's quote was through the roof, moved the car over to Mostly Mustangs because of their good yelp reviews and now I see why they got the good reviews. Great quality service, affordable, and a super trustworthy crew.
Not much else to say really, these guys are just fantastic! -

Best Experience I've Ever had at a shop, EVER! These guys are great, friendly and they really know there stuff, they are competitively priced, and have often charged me less then the original quote. I trust them with my baby ( 1971 mustang) and I never get "that I just got screwed by a bunch of money grubbing grease monkeys" feeling, which, is awesome. I love them, my pony loves them! I highly recommend them to anyone with a classic car.

This is why I love yelp! After reading all the positive reviews, I was hopeful that the service at Mostly Mustangs would be pretty good. After working with Jack on some repairs for my 68, my expectations were exceeded.
Not only does Jack know what he's doing (and so do the others that work there) and charge a fair price, he's great to work with as well. This is coming from a guy who used to do ALL his own work on his cars...I like having the options to turn to someone else for things that I don't want to tackle now. -

The folks here at Mostly Mustangs are absolutely awesome. My car runs better after their tlc than when I brought it home new.
They know their stuff, they're honest and competitively priced. -

Great garage! I had my 67 engine rebuilt, my transmission replaced and my brakes upgraded there - they did a great job! As soon as you own a classic car, you need to find honest and talented mechanics which is exactly what they are.
5 starts, even if they are quite busy. -

The best. Period. Once I brought my 65 there, I never went ANYWHERE else. Sometimes it costs a little more, but if you want it done right: take it to Mostly Mustangs.

Jack and Rich and the rest of the guys at Mostly are one of the reasons I love Oakland. I have never had an issue with any of their work, and they have even stretched to do a lot of the restomod-style work I have thrown at them. They're close to BART but I just bike there since i live in North Oakland. Don't know what I'd do without these guys.

If you own a Mustang (or any Ford make and model) you need to know about Mostly Mustangs. The owner and all of the mechanics collectively have almost a hundred years of combined automotive knowledge. The shop is equipped with state of the art diagnostic equipment and people who know how to use it. Mostly Mustangs is equipped to handle basic maintenance all the way to complete restorations, as well as high performance tuning and racing modifications. Mostly Mustangs is also a great resource for hard to find parts, information and vehicle appraisals.

My husband gave me a 1966 6 cyl. mustang as a wedding present. I took it into Mostly Mustangs for an estimate on any work that might need to be done immediately. I let them know that I was a first time vintage car owner and had lots of questions.... including how/when to check the oil, brake fluid, transmission fluid, and radiator. Jack, the owner, was nothing but patient, informative, and attentive. (It definitely helped that I had specific questions for him after having driven it for a few months.... so my advice would be to have a list of questions for the folks there to check out.) Their itemized estimate was free and it ended up that I had potentially $1500 worth of parts and labor that could have been done to the car. But Jack said "You really don't have to do any of it now... the car's in good shape." What an honest guy! Jack and I reviewed the list together and I prioritized it. I ended up having the oil changed, wiper blades replaced, and the locks cleaned and re-greased. I'll be sure to come back when it's time for the leaf springs and break pads to be replaced. Really nice people that care about you and your car... that's it.

had to have my transmission replaced here when my regular guy couldn't do it. they do great work and will drive you to bart if you need it. the only reason i'm not giving five stars is because there is a bit of that intimidating feel, especially from one of the older guys. i've been told he's like that with everyone though, so i try not to take it personally.
