Remarkably unremarkable overall.

Walked in last night and couldn't even figure out if we had gone in the right entrance because there was no host or hostess anywhere. Stood there a minute, then wandered around the restaurant looking for someone to seat us. A bunch of waiters and waitresses walking around looked at us and then decided not to say hi or tell us where the hell to sit.

Once we eventually got a seat, the service was ok, albeit pretty slow. Took them over 5 minutes to bring us our drinks, even though it was not busy at all. The food was the saving grace; the grilled artichoke was fan-fucking-tastic. I had a pretty good turkey burger, and my gf had a turkey melt thing that was pretty good too.

Good food, and a pretty big miss in service overall. Don't go here if you're in a rush.

I actually had a lot of fun here. The environment is very soothing and moody and my waitress would have the SWAT team intruding cause she was DA BOMB! I tried the Soggy Bottom Burger which is a peanut butter and jelly hamburger. Ya I scoffed too. It was great! Just as the waitress told me.

They also have this fun little "burger bar" where you get your own condiments and sides. I liked it! Its a fun little addition to eatin. One complaint would be that their homemade veggie patties, while delicious, fall apart like this review. OOOOH! The normal patties are fantasticly flavorful though.

THIS is a good turkey burger (got mine with bleu cheese, caramelized onions, avocado, lettuce, tomato, onions, pickles and (really good) fries.

Would have loved it if it was cheaper.  Wish someone at Fix Burger in Los Feliz would try Mo's fries and make em more like that.

Good job Mo!

One word, Sunday brunch!!! ok 2 words.
Don't let the small "rustic" exterior fool you.
This place can really serve a mean sunday brunch. As i was seated in a large booth for 2, the champagne was flowing for everyone.
Thats right, FREE champagne!! for an extra dollar or so you get a side carafe of o.j. to fancy it up a bit.
The prices are a bit high, but for a lovely brunch every once in a while with free champagne you can't beat it!!!

LOVE their Saturday & Sunday brunch! Such a great value....the one glass of champagne per entree is really an "all you can drink" thing! I love all of their egg dishes...my favs are the tamale hash, green eggs & mo, & eggs italiano (i get mine w/ egg whites & it's super good). Potato Mo's are to die for! Every Thanksgiving I contemplate ordering some in advance so I can pass them off for my own. Too bad they only have them on Sundays & you can't order "catering sizes"- I guess they know.
The buttermilk pancakes are fluffy and tasty, but their 9 grain are my absolute favorite. They are actually healthy, but I feel like I'm cheating on my diet when I have them. Great place to come with a lot of people and wonderful for families. I'm not a burger lover, but I hear the 'burgers & bar fixens' are delish. The bar area has a few TV's and it seems to have it's share of regulars". Another celeb spot. I've seen Miley Cyrus & her family dining here a few times. Dinner was good too, but I prefer their breakfast.

If you come for dinner between 4pm and 6:30pm, all the entrees are only $7.30!!! That's almost half off!! The food here is always good. They have the best fries and pretty much everything is spot on! They even have a sandwich bar to go to where you pile on a ton of toppings and sides to your dinner plate. They also have a extensive burger menu and let you customize your burger with everything under the sun. My little brother had a veggie burger with peanutbutter, jelly, mushrooms, and blue cheese!! And the waiter didn't even bat an eyelash. The drinks are nice and strong too, but sometimes the service isn't as friendly as it should be.

I used to live right down the street and would go there for lunch and often time order some delivery for dinner. Their salads are awesome, and I love their burgers too. Always got good service and it was my place that I went to as a "regular" for about 8 years.

Now that I live out of the valley, anytime I have to go to the area I try to stop in for lunch. Love this place. Great service & food!

HOLY BRUNCH! I don't understand why this place doesn't have more stars. I seriously suspect the locals are trash-talking to hide it away (I'm into conspiracy theories.) We went in for brunch around 1pm and sat for nearly two hours, despite our food coming out in ten minutes. Cheddar, bacon, avocado omelette was DELICIOUSNESS! Regular potatoes: DELICIOUS! Banana bread?! OH YEAH... DELICIOUS!

Not to mention unlimited champagne with brunch. (Why do you think we sat for two hours?) Cinnamon coffee made me very happy. They wouldn't stop refilling our beverages no matter how much time passed since we'd finished eating. I'd take a bullet for that staff! Outstanding!

Three words...WASTE OF MONEY!!

First of all, I kept hearing people talk up this restaurant and was really excited to eat here. The restaurant ambiance is pretty crappy and everything is just a boring brown. I was seated with a friend at a huge table and given a menu with a huge variety of dishes to choose from. Usually that is a bad sign because that means the restaurant specializes in nothing.

I chose a 12$ burger which I found out was served at the "Burger Bar", which is just a fancy name for pick up your own burger and condiments and a couple of sides (macaroni or potato salad). The burger did NOT come with fries which was very disappointing.

When our burgers were ready, we were escorted to the "Burger Bar" where we see a plate with a regular old burger and 0 condiments. I put some mayo, mustard and ketchup only since the lettuce and onion were not appearing to last on the ice..they were wilted.

When I tasted the burger I was even more disappointed. The meat had absolutely no flavor. Just a regular beef patty with absolutely zero flavor and no seasoning. I have to say, this was the worst burger I ever had.  So, if you like expensive flavorless meat, this is the place for you.

Needless to say, I sent the burger back after two bites, finished the onion rings (Which are good by the way, but not worth the trip and inconvenience of valet parking) and was on my way.

I will NOT be returning and do NOT recommend this restaurant.

Mos was never a place that I would die to go to when work folks would suggest it but when i was  there, i would be glad i went.  I would usually burger it up.  They have a unique system. They bring you a plain cheese burger and then you go up and load up what you want on it.  The staff is pretty good.  All really nice people.  I tend to inhale ice tea at lunch and they were always on it.  The place is clean, kinda loud and a great place to hang with a bunch of people if you want to BS and talk and laugh.  Valet parking and very limited street parking.

This is an old mildly upscale diner near the Burbank studios. They serve standard fare with an emphasis on burgers. Their unique offering is a large condiment bar that includes very standard macaroni and potato salads.

French Fry Review:

The only fries on the menu are curly fries. The fries did not seem fresh but were good for frozen fries. They had very mild seasoning and were only a little crispy. The curly fries at Dolores in West LA are much better and less expensive.

I had just about enough of left over tamales and ham from Christmas so on Sunday ( the day we return and buy new gifts) My family and I where starving and as we headed back to my place I wanted to take my family someplace new, so I said let's go to Mo's. First thing my mom said was " It looks expensive!". After I told her I was treating, we quickly pulled into the parking lot. Mo's is known for their "burger bar" which basically means you put your own condiments on your burger and they have a few pasta salads on the sides. The burger menu at Mo's is unique and long but pricey at $12.00 a burger and that doesn't even include fries. Overall Mo's does have it's good qualities too for example breakfast/brunch is wickedly delicious at Mo's and on Monday's - Thursday before 6:30pm you can have a meal for under $7.50, and for those who like to "star gaze" you'll see a few here. Overall not a bad joint, I prefer having a $12 burger here then at the place next door with the dude wearing the red and white overalls, who's name sounds like robs big boys.

Mo's is a local "hang out" for several friends and me, its location is central to lots of businesses and the studios - where they work. Seeing the mixed reviews on the place, I'm just going to give you my take, that's what we yelp about right.

We eat here every couple of months and try to time our meals late lunch/early dinner - convenient for off the wall work hours the industry requires and because the restaurant can get very crowded at lunch especially. So, we are there usually during a pleasant lull.

The lumber paneling on the walls and also wood furniture, along with spacious and clean surroundings create a comfortable environment to kick back and relax in. Service, at least at the time we are there - is attentive and pleasant.

We are usually eating off the lunch menu - which has a decent selection of appetizers, burgers, pasta, pizza, and hot and cold sandwiches. Really don't have one favorite entree we get over and over - depends on what we are craving that day. The prices are a tad high - but for the area and consistently respectable food - worth it.

Love their salads - especially the Chopped that comes with turkey, tomatoes, mozzarella, onions, and salami - large and usually fresh and very good. And of course to offset all this healthy food, an appetizer to share of their Onion Rings - which are to die for. Another great salad is the Seared Ahi over baby greens, onions, avocados, and a delicous Asian dressing.

The burger bar seems to be a point of contention with some - but its just a trip across the room and you get all the "fix ins" you want - including pasta salad - which is pretty good. Try the Mushroom burger and maybe a topping of bacon for extra treat (and small extra charge), delicous. Another good choice is the "Ménage a Trois - heaped with avocado, bacon, and swiss or cheddar. For those who don't eat beef - they also offer veggie and turkey burgers - (but not for these girls - we want cow!)

Usually leave feeling happily full and not regretting any of our choices, already planning our next visit. Until then!

Having been to notable other burger spots in LA and abroad, Mo's just did not really measure up. Ambiance is cool, burger bar is a nice feature, but the burger itself was pretty bland. I had the baja burger which is their burger with pico de gallo, sour cream, and cheese. I ordered it medium and it was pretty undercooked. The only positive is that the chili cheese fries are pretty good. The chili is very meaty and it has a sweet and spicy flavor, topped on curly fries and melted cheddar for the trifecta. The side salads I had were good as well, had the potato salad and the pasta salad.

It's kind of like the episode of "How I Met Your Mother" where Marshall is searching for the best burger in N.Y. Mo's would definitely be one of those spots that would leave me saying "This isn't it."

Top spots that I would literally travel just to get a burger there...Father's Office (LA), Cherry Cricket (Denver), or Burger Bar (Las Vegas), and the dark horse...Beckham Grill (Pasadena). Its only on the lunch menu, but I'd get it as my free meal often when I used to work there nights.

Mo's gets plus points for creativity in toppings and the burger bar with side salads, toppings and dressings, but the actual burger is just ok. Plus points for the chili cheese fries. If I'm in that area I would just as soon go across the street for the classic Bob's Big Boy instead.

Cheers.

Short simple and to the point, Mo's has great salads!

It's part of a block of good eateries, Bob's Big Boys, a great hot dog place and Marie Calendar.

Mo's is a fine place for lunch as anywhere, clean and comfortable. Like Cheers with a young hipper crowd.

Check it out and you won't be disappointed.

Enjoy.

You see it's like this: Mo's is a wood nest to enjoy bein' in. Cozy. No lyin', check it out... http://www.eatatmos.co... there's wood everywhere: all the walls are paneled in wood, the ceilings, the thick wood posts w/ angled wood brackets at the top, the tabletops in the different rooms. The interior has - how to put this? - a "glow" that's partly physical, partly emotional; Mo's makes it feel... comfortable, chill, relaxed.

And there's good basic diner eats here- try the chili or turkey meatloaf or a tuna melt. You can't get hurt putting your money down for a meal at Mo's.

It was better when it was Hampton's, but Mo's is okay if you can't get in anywhere else on a cold night.  Their burgers can be mediocre or fine, depending on the day or night.  The condiments bar baffles me.  Salads are merely okay.  I've had worse, I've had better.  I'm trying to think of something else to say, but instead I think I'll sing the score to Dreamgirls in the key of E.

Good omlettes, and come on, a solid "self-serve topping" burger at 11:00 AM? - this is my kinda place!  It's a tasty burger, and lots of condiments to boot, plus cole slaw, two potato salads and more - they give you the bun and patty and you do the rest.  The breakfasts are good too, and they give you champagne with brunch.

If you are getting the burger, be sure to make your own - don't let them do it.

I had the tamale hash.

mmmmmmm.

I get to start my review like that cause I'm half Mexican.

Went here on Mother's day because even though that woman birthed me, she really only half birthed me because she had a cecarian and I feel I got jipped out of the true canal experience.
So she gets $10.95 brunch with all you can drink champs instead of The Queen's Tea at the Peninsula.
Teach her not to be so lazy!

We walked right in and sat right down thank you to our very friendly hostess (cute dress too).
The champagne for everyone that morning wasn't cheap either because I didn't have a splitting headache several hours later.

Mom had the eggs bennie, and specifically ordered the egg whited cooked, but the yolk runny, and it was. It came with like a field of potatoes, rosemary-esque.
The tamale hash had the tamale corn thing, scrambled eggs, corn, bell peppers, scallions and white cheese.  It tasted better than it looked and it tasted even better the next day with some cooked up ribeye!

All in all pleasant and I would recommend.
Eat at Mo's!

After much hype by coworkers, I tried the "foggybottom" burger which is three parts: Burger, Bun, Peanut Butter, Jelly.  Ok so it's four parts. I'm not retyping that.  Plus is a bun really a part?  I guess it is because the "protein style" burger at In-n-out has no bun.  I've never had a protein style burger, but when I was growing up my mom would just fry up a patty and serve it to us plain.  This actually makes sense because you're pretty likely to have some ground beef lying around, whereas in order to have a bun, it pretty much has to be a premeditated offering.

Having peanut butter and jelly pretty much cancels out opportunities for other condiments.  It's sorta like a bbq chicken pizza, if you're going to substitute tomato sauce for bbq sauce, this limits your choice of topping.

Overall not too bad.

I've been a bit busy lately, so I haven't really found the time to review a lot of places that I've been to, but my experience at Mo's last weekend forced me to make the time.  Holy shit, how does this place stay in business?  I ended up there for brunch after the line at Patsy's made me suicidal.  I probably should have sucked it up and waited, but I am like a child and suffered for my impatience!

Part of my impatience was due to the fact that my friend was visiting from out of town and I did not want to make her wait either.  So our party of three traveled to Mo's and were seated in a fairly empty restaurant almost immediately.  I figured that was a good sign, however, the fact that the patronage was sparse when up the street Patsy's was packed should have told me something.  Regardless, I was ready to give Mo's a chance.  That was, until our waitress came over.  She was in her mid to late 30's, short and almost trollish.  What occurred from this point on is probably a scene out of David Lynch's next movie.

The waitress appears and takes our orders.  My boyfriend is very leery of this place, but I tell him to man up and he does.  My friend orders the Popover combo, I order the Tamale scramble and my boyfriend gets the Mexican eggs.   While he is ordering, the waitress looks out the window and starts to stare at something.  She stops writing and is taken away to a distant land or memory.  We sit there and stare at her for at least two minutes, then finally she snaps out of it and says,"Sorry, I stopped listening.  I remembered something."  My boyfriend restated his order and she tells us she forgot to bring someone a banana.  We all shrug and wait for our champagne.  Breakfast is apparently supposed to come with it.  We wait and wait.  And wait, and wait.  Eventually, everyone around us is served.

Right when I decide to ask her where our champagne is, she tells me to hold on and then she walks over to her manager and he caresses her face.  They stand in the doorway and flirt for 5 minutes and I think I might barf the nonexistent contents of my stomach all over the table.  Then, instead of coming back over to our table to talk to me, she walks over to another table, takes out her cellphone and starts to take photos with them and chat for at least 10 minutes.  This entire time we've been waiting for food and the fucking champagne.  I was ready to get up and go when the food runner brought about our food.  There was only one problem, instead of bringing Popovers, we're brought a burrito.  No one ordered a burrito, so the waitress comes over and tells my friend she said burrito, #21.  And we look at her, in shock and say, "ACTUALLY, SHE SAID POPOVERS.  SHE'D NEVER HAD POPOVERS AND WANTED TO TRY THEM.  BRING HER POPOVERS."

At this point I was so hungry that I decided to fucking eat these terrible tamale eggs.  I mean, there was nothing tamale about them.  Just fucking smushed up corn bread mash with eggs and too much cheese.  It looked like something I would smoosh up together for my fucking dog.  However, at this point, I didn't have any room to argue cause the waitress tried to get my friends Popovers to the table within 10 minutes.  Instead of offering my friend an appetizer or something, she gave her a piece of banana bread and told her to wait.  When they finally arrived, they were not bad and probably the only food we got that did not induce vomiting.  At this point the waitress finally woudl come over to our table and try to make awkward conversation with us.  Apparently, it became extremely clear to her we found her to be not only a terrible waitress, but also a moron.  Everyone has a bad day, but when you argue with me about the fact that something went wrong, and you are the server, you are WRONG.  Especially when I am hungry.  When we got the bill the waitress did not comp the popovers.  She didn't do anything because at that point we just wanted to get out of there.  Well, I've got to be honest, my friend paid because I was about to beat the living shit out of the incompetent waitress because I am out of my fucking mind.  We paid full price, but vowed to write this review on YELP.

Honestly, after my experience there, I'd much rather have hemorrhoids than be forced to eat there again.  The food was terrible, the service was worse than terrible and the overall experience was on par with being forced to sit through a painful church service as a kid.  I hate you Mo's and almost nothing could change my mind about that!

I was really surprised to see the relatively low ratings of this go-to lunch joint for the denizens of the nearby studios.  I'm a huge salad fan and their Chinese Chicken is the best I've had (and I've had a few).  I guess my review is skewed because I've rarely ventured away from my favorite salad, but I have it on good authority that a number of other salads and entrees pass muster.  It's not a destination, but a great option when you find yourself in Toluca Lake in need of a simple, tasty meal.

Despite the look of the place, Mo's wasn't established in 1955, but rather 1995. Yep, you've been duped. Apparently Mo play joke and go peepee in our coke. I've been here a couple of times for lunch and it's decent, but nothing special. I can imagine it being a funner place at night with the sports playing in the background and the full bar as a central figure.

I've had a few of their burgers and the meat is tender and thick with good options for toppings, but again, nothing special, especially for the prices. You also get a stab at their burger bar, which is full of little vegetarian items you can use as side dishes to fill you up--that is, if you have a fat man stomach like me.

The place is much bigger inside than you might think so it might be a good place for a group if you're into the bar/burger/sports bar scene for your bday or some other special occasion. But head to Bob's Big Boy next door if you want more character and authenticity.

"Meh. I've experienced better."

I should have known that with a place with an average of 3 stars that this place was going to be meh.

Last night, we weren't feeling anything in particular. This always happens whenever we have a run of overpriced, fusion or ethnic grub for a few days. Sometimes, you  just want good ol' American food. And what's American food? Burgers? Mo's popped up when we zipped in that info into search.

Mo's has a back parking lot that was relatively full but we managed to park in one of the last three spots open. Walking in, I was struck how Black Angus in feel the place had. Lighting was horrible and although the photographs were interesting on the walls, it was hard to look at them because it was so loud in there. I could clearly hear people's conversations many tables away. And both the gay boyfriend and I don't have super great hearing.

We were given a giant booth so we slid in about 1/3 of the way. I wasn't feeling soup or salad as a starter and ended up ordering the grilled artichoke.  The gay boyfriend had the soup of the day (spicy chicken--"like chicken noodle but without the noodles and spicier."). Later, the gay boyfriend thought it was just soup with Tabasco in it.

My grilled artichoke was pretty good. I guess it was cheap at $5.95. It did take me a while to work away at it. I preferred the lemony sauce more than the chipotle (which really had no kick or particular taste to it).

I didn't want a burger and didn't read up on any of the dozen or so they had listed. The gay boyfriend ordered the $14 Kobe beef burger (which on the menu, they hastily explain it's American waygu). This required a trip to the burger bar. He came back with a bit of potato salad and a burger he dressed himself. Fries do not come with this. Huh, kind of overpriced then!

I ended up getting the short ribs pizza. There are a few things I always am in the mood for; short ribs, beet salad, chocolate cake (yes, this would be my perfect dinner date). So, when I saw the short ribs pizza, I decided that was my best bet. The pizza is oval in shape with six slices. Picking up the first slice, I could tell the heaviness of the short ribs, mushrooms, tomatoes and green onion were already making the pizza bendy and unwieldy. It was however, not large enough to fold. And I scorned eating it with a knife and fork.

There must have been sugar in the dough because the darn thing was too sweet. I would not order this again. I don't like sweet with my savory.

Which meant I was not in the mood for dessert since my sweet tooth was taken care of during my entree.

Oh, the gay boyfriend did like his burger but I think he had low iron or something because he rarely orders burgers and anything burger like sounded good to him.

Service was good. Our drinks were refilled. Our food came in a timely manner. And our bill was 20% off since we ordered two entrees from the specials menu. They're doing 20% those entrees as a new year's special. Yet, I'm pretty darn sure we're not going back.

Came here for Lunch today. This places has the feel of "slice of old Hollywood" it's really kinda dark in there and the tables and chairs are made of heavy wood.

The wait staff all look like either junkies or actors that are waiting for their big break.

The food is so so I'm not a fan of their burgers but I did like their Salad I normally get the Ahi Salad which is seared Ahi served over a bed of greens, avocado and red onions.

Today I had the Cobb salad. It was huge and there was probably more toppings then lettuce in this salad! By the time I was done there was a pile of blue cheese, bacon left at the bottom of the large plate ( I picked out all the lettuce, avocado, and turkey) Don't get me Wrong I love me some bacon but at some point there is too much bacon in a salad...

me and the Girls also shared an order of chili cheese fries mmmmmm...

the fries were those curly ones ( I'm not a fan of them ) but the chili was very good ( no nasty beans) and there was a good amount of cheese melted on top =) it would have been almost perfect if it have been on fresher crispier fries.

If I could give it zero stars then I would. Should have braved the wait at Bob's or Porto's but instead went across the street to this stupid fucking place. I have never written a review before, but I have never felt so ignored at a resturaunt . I walked in with a buddy of mine, seated  by the hostess, who said not a word to us, was a very unfriendly bitch. Proceeded to wait for about 15 minutes for our waiter to come and greet us. Mind you, it was not busy AT ALL! And there were about 10 waiters fumbling around the place. 15 minutes is way to long to wait, when a place is empty and theres tons of waiters waliking around ignoring you, have never experienced this anywhere. Finally my friend and I decide to bail because of the poor servicce and as we walk out that bich of a hostess says, " have a nice day" and I turn around and flip her off. Fuck this place, hope it goes out of business.  I would have complained to a manager, but I figure complaining on here will hurt this place's credibility.

Still love this place! BUT!!!!!!!!!! I just wanted to add that i tried the breakfast and it was alright, they don't have a very good pancake/waffle variety. It doesn't come with sausage or bacon nor do they have it on the menu. Besides that, the coffee was great!  :)

Mo's is always there -- that's what I like about it.

For years I had a friend that lived right across the street, so we were eating there constantly.  My problem was, though, that I could never find anything on the menu that I loved..... I liked all of it, but didn't love any of it.

Finally, I found the Skirt Steak Salad -- amazing.  The steak is so good and always perfectly cooked.  This is simply the best dish on the menu.

On Monday's, they have a cheaper menu that makes going there even more appealing.  I'm now a willing regular and I'm okay with that.

The service is hit or miss -- most of the servers have been there forever, so there's always a familiar face.  It's all a gamble as to who you get .....

Read up folks......  I've been going to this place before it was even Mo's.  It used to be a Hampton's and the original was in Hollywood on Highland Ave.

The breakfast, lunch and dinner is wonderful at Mo's.  There are lots of items to choose from so everyone will find something they will like.

Burger/chicken fans.  They cook your meat,  put it on a plain bun and then you get up with your server and they'll guide you to where you can pile up all the trimmings you want on your own burger.  You can't beat that....... I don't know why some of the reviewers are shocked at that, so much for being different, they just complain instead of seeing the good aspect to this style.  This get up and fix your way style is only with the burgers.  The rest of the large menu is table served.

See the menu,  They have a boat load of great stuff.

http://www.eatatmos.co...

And in my opinion, hands down they have the best onion rings,  thick, crunchy, golden perfect.

The parking sucks during weekday lunch sometimes but there is valet and street parking.

Mo's is always good when I'm not sure what kind of burger I REALLY want at the moment (even if I always end up ordering the menage-a-tois burger every single time).

It's pretty decent food at a pretty decent price, and those curly fries are darn good too.  When you go to Mo's, you just have to know that you are not going to some 5 star restaurant! You're going because the food is consistent, the drinks are strong and the crowd is always very laid back.

Oh, in case you were wondering, the burger bar is where your server will bring you to pick and choose whatever topping/condiments you want. Don't be lazy! It works out to your benefit because then you don't have to start asking: 'Can I have more ketchup?' 'More Thousand Island?' 'More pickles.... lettuce.... tomatoes.... blah blah blah.'

I can't believe all of these negative reviews. We go here all the time. And I have never EVER gone home with a case of food poisoning. All ya'll are a bunch of bitches if you are too lazy to get up and serve yourselves at a burger bar. And it's probably a bit healthier to not automatically have french fries served with your burger anyway. Yes they are good, and the onion rings kick ass, but there's no reason to bitch. Honestly, even without fries on the side of your burger, it's not possible to walk out of Mo's and still feel hungry. And if you do then you have other issues.

On to the burgers...among the best I have ever had. The Kobe beef burger is amazing. And the Foggy Bottom Burger (peanut butter and plum jam) with Kobe beef is even more amazing! Also at the top of my list the Red-Eyed Gobbler (turkey burger w/ cranberry sauce) and the Slamdunk Burger w/ a turkey patty (Sour plum jam and dijon mustard.) Personally I have never tried the veggie burger, but I have on good authority that they are tasty.  The Ahi Tuna salad is great too.

They are also great for sharing some cocktails or a glass of wine with friends. Which leads me to why they only got a four-star review. I had to argue with a bartender over whether or not an Old-Fashioned cocktail was made with bourbon or scotch. It's bourbon...and I don't think the bartender is ever going to make that mistake again.

But no matter what, Mo's is fantastic, and it's our go-to place for a get-together dinner with friends.

Best Chicken Sandwich I have ever had! Sure they have a bunch of different burgers and a burger bar, but I will never know how they are because when I return I'm getting the chicken sandwich and you should too.

I finally went to Mo's tonight, after a friend told me about "Recession Monday" and I was kind of disappointed. The atmosphere was neat, kind of like a wood-cabin, and the staff was friendly enough but not at all efficient.
The food was pretty cheap but apparently that's only on Monday after 5pm and I would not pay full price for the burger I got or the salad my friend got.
All in all, I'm glad I tried another restaurant in the neighborhood but I won't be going back.

I'm bummed that the average rating is 3 stars. My husband and I really like this place. We always get the same thing. Skirt steak with steamed veggies, I get the mashed potatoes and hubby gets the rice. It's one of our favorite dinners.

I also turned my mom on to Mo's, she's a fan now too.

OH MY GOD!! Yummy!!!

I am amazed by this place.  Simply, completely amazed.  First time I came here, I had THE BEST BURGER EVER.  If you're a fan of cranberry, get the RED EYED GOBBLER.  Sooooooo good.  Not to mention, the potato salad is ridiculous.  That shiz is legit.  True, the burgers are 11 bucks or more.  Yes, that's kind of annoying and hard on the wallet for folks like me.  But trust me, this place is a must try.

Avoid the lunch time crowd.  This place gets packed.  I recommend coming during an off time or ordering take out.

Side note - take out has messed up two of my orders so far so be sure to check your bag before you leave.  It's okay, though, because the food is so damn good, it's worth any hassles.

Today, I bought the warm pounded chicken sandwich.  Again, another huge success.  Just go, ask quickly as you can.  This place is very delicious.

TERRIBLE SERVICE.

I ordered the Tamale Hash, and according to the menu, this brunch entrée is supposed to come with potatoes and complimentary champagne.  I asked the waitress about the potatoes and champagne, and she said that my entrée "does not include those."  The general attitude we got from our waitress throughout the meal was that she did not care about customer service.

I studied the menu again at the restaurant, and again online, and clearly displayed at the top of the menu is: "All brunch items include home fried potatoes or Potato Mo's, banana bread and complimentary champagne."  The only exception to this policy is the "From the Griddle" section, but the Tamale Hash is not in that section.

While we were eating, a party of six were sitting next to us, and I could see that this party was very unhappy with the service as well, which made everyone's experience even more unpleasant.  Several people at that table had to send their food back at least once, if not twice, because the staff kept getting their orders wrong.

At the end of our meal, our waitress asked us if we were ready for our check, and we said yes.  TEN minutes go by before she comes back with our check.   At this point, I was apologizing profusely to my two friends for the bad experience we had, since it was my idea to go to Mo's.

Ok, so the burger bar thing is kinda lame and maybe a little bit dangerous.  But if you don't order the burgers then you avoid that mistake and can have a decent lunch or dinner. But I would stay away from the breakfasts. We ended up here because we couldn't find a seat at some of our other places. There's a reason this place isn't crowded on the weekend mornings.

Yesterday I enjoyed a typical lunch at Mo's complete with a Hollywood twist.

The flow of traffic in and out of Mo's was pretty constant and I had the best seat in the house, a little table next to the door where I could see all who came and went. While digging into a skirt steak salad and sipping on lemonade I had one of those LA moments. I saw someone I didn't know, but absolutely recognised. Although I did not know his true name, I muttered to myself the name that did stick out in my mind, "Randy". After the man I deemed "Randy" left with what must have been a takeout order I brought up the name to my boyfriend and asked him if that rang any bells. He replied "My Name is Earl."

Once home, I decided I'd go mad if I didn't find out what "Randy's" real name was so I googled My Name is Earl and behold!!! his name is Ethan Suplee. This particular actor has been in a laundry list of movies (http://www.imdb.com/na...) some of which I've seen, most of which I haven't.

Anyway, the meal was great as always and I happened to have a wonderful time people watching. Thanks again Mo's!
