I love the weird fact that this place is mostly empty, lacks people and is missing the music pumped into the halls. It's like the perfect setting of a Zombipocalypse or maybe if the Rapture happened.  The kitchen store here is cool. I miss the kaybee outlet store though. The Carters is great for baby clothes. The Cuban place nearby is equally interesting.  Yesterday I found a 'model train' museum with some old guys walking around in engineer outfits.  Awesome!   And yesterday if you were feeling religious, you could check out the churh in the mall complete with an awesome mural tapestry and power point sermons!  They also seem willing to host events, so while NC Comic Con is going on there is an Indian Wedding reception down the hall.  This place is a sitcom writers dream!

I can't exactly say why I like this place except that it is not typical and always seems like an adventure.

This is a sad mall.  The parking lot is less than a quarter full at one time.  Most of the store lots are empty with "for lease" signs and there are only a few stores that are open along with a small food court.  The stores open that we saw were Carter's, IZOD, Bass, Off 5th and just 3-4 others.  You can tell that they are struggling quite a bit.  The only place that is worth checking out is Off 5th (the Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet).  They have a men's, women's, shoes, accessories, handbags, and a children's section.  Many of their designer items are reduced over 50% and they have maintained this store quite nicely (organized and clean).

Is the mall a place to go out of your way for?  No.

I had never been to this mall before but I was looking for the nearest Greek Fiesta on my GPS.  I've read reviews on the place this mall and it was indeed lacking business.  I can't believe this place has lost so much business to be smack dab in the RTP.  How is the Smithfield outlet surviving?  The mall is beautiful inside but the food court isn't.  I only stopped in Nine West to look around on my Long walk to the food court.

DEAD. This place is only about half full of stores, and half of those aren't real stores (train shop, consignment stores, etc). I'm not sure why it has done so poorly because it's a decent location and the overall mall facility is actually nice inside. The only thing that seems to attract people to the mall is the bunch of kids stores inside.

Chances are this place will be dead when you come. It always is! And the stuff in the food court, other than the juice shop, never seems to be open either. Not that you'd come here looking for food, but it sure isn't a good sign that the mall is sustaining itself very well. And allow me a quick lament over the fact that this area doesn't have any decent outlet malls. Other cities seem to have loads of them and the only two battling it out around here are this one and the Burlington Outlet, which is more drab and has even less to offer.

Over the years, I've seen kiosks come and go and now they've all but disappeared. There are several stores hanging on, and a few that make this a continued worthwhile stop for me: Off 5th Saks outlet (I have scored phenomenal deals from here including a DVF wrap at $100; they're also great for marked-down Spanx and designer shades and the occasional uber-find like a Mackage coat) and the Nine West outlet. Kitchen Collection is also worth a look. The rest of it -- eh.

I'm with Christina, even two years later than her review the Prime Outlets are still hanging on for dear life but they are not what they were in their glory days, say, five years ago. My main two reasons for stopping in are still there: the Geoffrey Beene outlet is still there (thank you Jeebus) and the Off 5th. Now, two quick things about my love-hate relationship with each of these places and why you may or may not have my shared, room-temperature love for them:
About Geoffrey Beene and me: I am short. I am very very short. It does me very little good to get a deal on some swanky pants, even if they make my butt look nice, if I have to cough up another thirty bucks on having them hemmed. Geoffrey Beene pants are nice, and their 2 petite fit me like nobody's business. If this particular store goes out of business I don't want to know about it, as I will have a full southern girl hissy fit at that moment.

Now, as was previously mentioned in the very true review, this location is not busy. Being dead is nice - it gives you room to breathe. This is not so true of being in the Saks outlet. It makes you feel like the animal in the zoo, and the people that work there are the people visiting the zoo. I hate that feeling more than anything. I do not want to be helped, looked at, or assisted. I want to be left alone. Tell a friend. The stock at this store is extremely hit or miss - when it's on it is on, when it's not, oh well - it was fun looking. Try not to make any faces that let on that this stuff is nothing you would let your tacky neighbor's dog wear in public, however, because you can bet that at any given time there are no less than three store employees looking at you. You've been warned.

I come here strictly for Carter's.  Then we meet my husband for lunch at RTP.  I have never eaten here nor shopped at any of the other stores.  I'm always surprised at how clean it is and how quiet it is.  I like to come in the morning about 30 minutes before the stores open and let my kids run around on the hard wood floors.  It's not a go out of your way place to shop.  Smithfield is so far and the prices are not that great anyway.  I plan to check out Tanger near Mebane soon.

Morrisville Outlet Mall doesn't have the best selection of stores that I've ever seen, but they do have an Off 5th (Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet). Other than that, i never really go here for anything else, except the occasional food court stop. The facilities are kind of run down, and there's nothing really impressive about the mall at all. It's located right by the airport, but is easy to miss, so make sure you don't drive right by it on your way to the outlets!

First thought upon entering this mall "OMG!!!, this is not a mall, it's a morgue!". My collegue and I decided to swing by after work but was shock to see how empty it was especially given it was Christmas shopping season. At one point, we were the only ones walking around. How sad, it is such a nice looking mall with nice woodwork floors throughout. Given this was my 3rd visit to the RTP area, I've gone to other malls & outlets in the area and they are bustling with shoppers. Hope it makes it
