Review from Ivan L.
Los Angeles, CA
Took my mom here for her birthday and I had a lot of fun with her!
Yeah your money goes up in smoke if you're coming here for the first time. I can definitely see why people get addicted to gambling. I had only played $60 which lasted me a couple hours (that's another thing, time goes by so fast when you're having fun!) that when I ran out I pulled out another $20 and sadly no luck.
It is an older crowd but there is a mix of people which is nice. Everyone I encountered was friendly and having a great time!
I will definitely come back now that I know more or less how to play the machines.
Be careful, but have fun! -

This place is a dump. Sure, it's close by the Inland Empire (+1 star) but holy hell...ever heard of renovations?
- Inside was falling apart last I visited a couple years ago -- even had burn marks from cigarette butts falling on the felt on the blackjack tables.
- Ventilation system isn't that great so the smoke circulates.
- Carpet looks like ass (was a good look in the early 2000s though)
Not a ton of lighting inside...place is just flat out depressing and dingy. Poker room is alright, but the floor is so bad at communicating with the players and tables, and the dealers were pretty bad (both here and in the pits). I think there's a very strong correlation between the quality of the casinos I've visited and the legal age allowed to gamble. Here: 18+. Everywhere else: 21+. Here: hellhole. Everywhere else: decent to awesome. Literally, bunch of 18 year old degens from high school standing around with $35 in their pocket thinking they're ballers smoking their Swisher Sweets and hanging with their bros and brohos.
If you absolutely must lose money, and cannot wait to make it to Pechanga or San Manuel then I'm pretty sure even this review won't talk you out of coming here. -

I hate this place. I've always hated this place. I never know why we come here. I've won (as in slot win over $1,000) at least once at every other casino in California, but never here. Not once. Not even close. Yes, it's decently close, but it's always crazy packed (this is an 18-friendly casino, if I remember correctly), so that means UCR fills the place. Tables, machines, all have lines. Parking is decent. But I think that'll be our last time there. Promise, for sure, for real.
Oh, and if I remember right they used to have baby-sitting available (not sure if they still have that) -
Review from Tanya D.
Stopped by Morongo on the way to Palm Springs the other afternoon, mostly for the simple pleasure of smoking indoors. (You have never seen somebody smoke with such a huge smile on their face as me inside a casino.).
My companion wasn't into card games so we just hung out and played some slots, took in the ambience, etc. Morongo is the tallest building for I don't know how many miles, so don't you think they could have made it a little prettier? I guess it's what's on the inside that counts ... a variety of slots and extraordinarily long buffet lines.
I guess more of an avid gambler or Morongo aficionado might have insightful things, but this place is a decent rest stop in the desert. -

Beverly Hills, CA
The place is nice but there is only one game I like playing but it is only available on two machines. I stop in here on my way to and from Palm Springs. I've never stayed over, but the place looks clean and well kept to me. The place is very smoky and there isn't a great game selection for me.
This is a big establishment. I like their promotions such as giving out $250 of free play for hitting their royal flush in video poker or a top jackpot in any of the other slot machines.
They have a few restaurants, buffet, and a food court with a great selection. Friday and Saturday nights get very crowded there. I've never had a problem finding parking there even with the large crowds. -

Blah... Another smoky, money-hole.
Stayed in one of the swanky Villas on the property: private pool and jacuzzi outdoors, in suite jacuzzi & shower. Yes, Miss Dani is a balla! Accomodation is definitely 4.5 stars. However, the food and service at the restaurant is terrible. Not a single smile on any of the server's faces, and we have to ask for each and every thing: water, utensils, drinks refills.
The only upside to this place is its close proximity to the outlets. A girl's got to have her priorities straight, that's for sure! -

1 and a half hour drive. Loss of $50/hr on average. Horrible luck here. This place is no Vegas. I will win next time.

Review from Jesse J.
Driving back from LA I saw the sign for Mexican Mondays buffet and decided it would be a nice spot to stop and it's right next to the outlets so why not.
Upon arrival we were offered to sign up for the players club which got us discounted buffet and $10 of free slot play.
The food at the buffet was actually pretty solid. I was not sure as this place is in the middle of nowhere but now it will be a sure stop on my drives to and from LA. -

Gave Morongo another chance. We stayed here because it's the closest to the Cabazon Premium Outlet stores and we can shop before heading into LA. Food is still terrible and slots are still too tight. Our room was cleaner than the last time though. Still not a fan of the pretty, but impractical window between the bathroom and bedroom. Can't use the bathroom without disturbing someone sleeping because the light shines into the bedroom.

San Mateo, CA
This place is dece. The only reason I came here is because it was on the way to Palm Springs. There's no way I'd come here otherwise. Might as well take the few extra hours and hit up Vegas. I can't complain though. It's a newer casino. Definitely not run down. They have an alternative version of craps which I was really stoked about. It's not the same as rolling dice (which really really gets me pumped), but it'll do, Piggy. I also left Morongo up $31. I really can't complain.
P.S. I have heard that their buffet is bomb too, but if you just want regular "I'm a fat American" fast food then there's a mini food court there as well with places like Fat Burger and hot dogs. -
Review from Michael U.
Montclair, CA
Morongo is a gambling teenagers dream. Its one of the few 18+ casinos in California. By the time i was 15 years old i was counting the days til i hit 18 just so i could gamble. I've had so many highlights here winning hundreds and many lowlights losing hundreds. (More low than high haha) I use to think i was hot shit when i played poker because i thought i was so good and i was crushing everyone for a bit. Little did i know i was a pretty shitty player. So young and naive!
The car ride is pretty long compared to closer casinos such as san manuel, commerce and bicycle. It could be nice and bad because i remember car rides where i WON i would be blasting songs like "GOT MONEY" -Lil Wayne "I'm so paid" -Akon. I'd feel on top of the world but then theres shitty ass car rides where i lose and im blasting "Better in time" -Leona Lewis and slow usher songs. Anyway when you lose it definitely makes you appreciate the other things in life, girlfriends, close friends and how they'll always be there for you. Simple shit really. So anyway be happy with winning whatever amount you do and dont get greedy because i can definitely tell you losing hundreds or thousands hurt 1000x more than the pleasure of winning hundreds. (Geez too bad i cant listen to my own advice sometimes haha)
I'll seperate this into 3 columns like my bicycle casino review. FOOD, POKER, TABLE GAMES.
FOOD
Food here does not compare to bicycle or commerce casino because they only have a food court and no custom ordering. So you're either stuck with overpriced fast food such as (Fat burger, panda express, Nathan hot dogs, LA italian, and haigen daiz.) Its really lame, they should have their own chefs making and bringing you food. They also have a buffet that you use to be able to get in for free (one time) if you sign up for a players card but its like 10$ off if you sign up now. (lame)
Anyway i think the buffet price is like 18$ and to be honest i dont remember it much but it was "aight" way better than Chinese buffets, thats for damn sure.
POKER
Poker room is a lot smaller than the LA casinos and sometimes you have to wait awhile to get seated just because there arent that many tables open. It use to be a lot more poppin 3 years ago but ever since the economy its been really dead around here. The action here is a lot more tight than the LA casinos so be ready for a grind.
Since the poker room is a lot crappier than the LA ones they do make up for it with promotions which is nice. Some promotions are like if you get your pocket AA cracked you get either money or to spin a wheel to win cash or gas cards which is nice. Theres other things where if you get a full house you get a free full tank of gas or a royal flush you get a free 250$ and a 2 night stay.
Theres a lot of sweet bonuses here so thats a good reason to keep coming back if you dont mind the drive.
P.S If you play poker i just want to say FLIP OVER BOTH CARDS if you only show one it counts as a fold and one time i did that in a hand i obviously won for a pot of almost 300$ and they gave the pot to the othe guy FUCKING MORONGO BASTARDS but i aint that mad anymore cause it is part of the rules. Fuck it.
TABLE GAMES
A lot more table games here than the LA casinos and they dont charge you to play. I only really play blackjack and they do pay you 3 to 2 on blackjack so thats sick (unlike la). You can't surrender here though like at san manuel so that sucks. I would obviously rather play the table games here than the la casinos so if blackjacks your game then come here or san manuel! They also recently added this roulette game which isn't quite digital but these balls blow and it picks one. Fuck its pretty fun!
Oh yeah theres tons of slots but fuck slots. Boring shit. Anyway its a cool casino ill give it props for being 18+ but i dont really care anymore since im 21 and the drive here is much further but i have a few youngin friends that cant venture out with me to other casinos so i come back here occasionally.
My god.. this feels like an actual real review.. NOOOOOOOO! -

I love the thrill of gambling ;) so obviously i love vegas!! but vegas is like 5 hours away, while morongo is only 90 minutes away... so morongo is great for satisfying small urges!!
It's really smoky and stuff here, but i'll survive.. since they have a CRAPs table!!!!!! yaaayyy :)
gambling tip: stay away when the dealer is an asian women =/ they're BAD LUCK!! fo reals!! i promise!! -
Review from Ryane O.

I've been coming here for about 6 years now so I suppose it's about time for me to review it...
...I come here often, but I've only stayed at the hotel itself once. The rooms are nice and that frosted glass door between the shower and the room is kinda cool. The pool is awesome too, and how can it not be? Helllllooooo lazy river!
So, onto the casino...
Since this place is 18 and over, there are a lot of kids hanging around. They have no idea what they're doing at the blackjack tables, and in the poker room they must think they're on tv or something. They will drive you nuts and you'll burn through your money once they sit at your table. So, take caution.
I mostly just play poker and blackjack here, but not as much poker anymore (that's what Commerce is for), so I'll just go on about the blackjack tables. The automatic shufflers are crap and I don't really trust them. Now there's all these silly vegas-style table games, either varients of regular games or something where you bet an extra $1 to win this and that. Also, there is usually 1 or 2 $5 blackjack tables that will have people waiting for a seat for hours, especially on fridays and saturdays. But you really shouldn't be so cheap anyways.
The dealers are nice, and they're pretty hot too! lol...
Just like other casinos, yes, it can get smoky. But keep in mind that besides it being a casino, all the kids are there. If you're only 18, you can't drink, so why not smoke a cigarette? Lol, that's how I see it.
Parking is a bitch sometimes on busy nights. The valet is a good option though, because they're super nice. They're free, but don't forget to tip.
Despite the young-en's and the "ghetto-crowd" that shows up sometimes, this place is kinda fun. -

This place is pretty shitty. They don't even have roulette here!! The place wreaks and is not fresh like the casinos in Vegas. It's also extremely packed, so trying to find a decent slot machine or anything to play on for that matter, takes awhile.
The location is super far, and the only good thing about coming here is going to the outlets next door!! I would not waste my time driving out here. Seriously, save it for vegas. -

Los Angeles, CA
I came here for a work related conference. I was kind of looking forward to it, since last year's conference was held at a nearby competing resort, but was instantly disappointed. The moment you walk in you are hit with the fact that this is indeed a casino and the cigarette smoke quickly attacks the eyes the throat. Well at least it did for our group, which is not used to being surrounded by so much smoke at all times.
The layout of the entire place is dominated by the casino part of the resort, there is just no way to avoid it. Even if you wanted to go straight to elevators that take you up to your room, you have to walk around the perimeter of the casino space (which is right in the middle of entire resort)...When you check in/check out, its the same thing...As for the conference area (in a second floor space), the smoke of the casino make its way up.
As for the food/dining I would have to give it a slightly higher rating (by 1/2 a star) only because the lunch and continental breakfasts served during the conference were quite satisfying. As for the restaurants, the food court is kinda sad really. They have a Hagen Dazs, a Fatburger, a Panda Express, and Nathan's that for some reason sold nachos and $1.99 "margaritas"....So if youre craving fries and ice cream and perhaps some nachos you can get your fix there. As for their buffet, which was moved to a new location so perhaps it could explain the experience, was pretty much like going to a Hometown Buffet.
The Front Desk staff was not very kind upon check-in, they seemed to have taken issue with a per-arranged agreement to pay with a check upon check-in, which according to them is a big no-no. The rest of the hotel staff, however, were quite accommodating and kind. The rooms were clean, nice and spacious. The valet is free, as is the wireless internet, both a plus.
All and all, however, I probably wont be visiting this place unless I have to for work. I get it, its casino is probably its bread and butter, but then don't go ahead and call yourself a RESORT and make the non-smoking patrons suffer the fumes coming from the unavoidable casino space. -

Lomita, CA
This is not Vegas, but if you're on the urge to gamble, this is the place to be. I'm not the one who has the urge, it is the bf and my sister. So I usually just tag along.
Of all the visits we've made, we've only been here past midnight on a Friday or a Saturday. The place is always packed and popping. People are really wide awake late at night, gambling!!!
There are plenty of slots (penny slots for me) and card tables for the experienced.
I've never really won anything off of the penny slots, in fact, I usually lose $50 ~ $100, which I think is a total waste... So I leave this place all bummed out. I just think I'm out of luck all the time.
Anyways, the two gamblers I tag along with have a good time here. They play blackjack at the $10 minimum tables. They usually win $20 ~ $100 or finish even. Some dealers are mean and snobbish, but most of them are helpful and fun. It is fun watching them play after I've given up on the slots.
We usually stay until 4~5am. Thanks to the $4 can of Redbull I bought from the cocktail waitress at the last trip. I don't know why we decide to pull an all-nighter, but we make this trip every once in a while.
I have yet to debut at the blackjack table. Maybe it is a good practice here at Morongo before I hit the tables in the ultimate gambling Sin City.
The drive is 2 hrs long from the South Bay but there are no traffic whatsoever (wee hours) so the drive is pleasant.
There is plenty of parking in the multiple floored lot. -

I came here on a whim with a friend just to check out the Casino, and I was incredibly impressed upon walking in. It's like a taste of Vegas right in SoCal! all the cool slot machines like GoldFish and Ebay, a decent choice of table games and the poker room is filled with nice people and the employees are all very friendly.
The circular layout of the casino means you can just stroll and eventually see everything without going down weird hallways. As far as being smoky...well I love that "casino smell" but here it wasn't bad at all unless you were really walking by people who chose to smoke.
There is a steakhouse, Buffet, and ultra lounge that I wasn't able to get to during our trip, but I'll definitely be coming back here and getting the Loyalty card. -

On our way back from our Vegas/Nevada/Arizona vacation, we stopped here for a few hours.
Poolside is cool and not overrun by kiddies at least not in a later Sunday afternoon. In addition, guests can enjoy a massage by one of their staff who would be working in the pool area. I managed to get one from a lady masseuse who did a great job on my boulder rock back. There's also a male masseur too who works the area as well. For me I don't care about gender but rather the quality of their work. The guy was supposed to work on me but he got called away to the hotel spa so I got the lady masseuse and she was awesome.
This place has a waterslide as well as an area where one can do an intertube run in their pool area with the fake current they have created.
We didn't stay at the hotel but had a great time overall. Buffet was very good and has something for everyone. For a buffet it was definately above average and the food was pretty good. The prime rib I got was very good and love the rare/medium rare piece on the end part.
There's a good security presence at this place as well.
On that Sunday night, the slot area was crowded and some morons were taking up seats sitting next to their s/o's instead of getting the hint there are people who want to SIT and put some $$ into those machines! We didn't lose much but I hit some good winnings.
As with any casino, even if you don't gamble I recommend signing up for their rewards card. You'll get discounts to some of their food places amongst other services they offer there. -

Los Angeles, CA
We were staying for a romantic, relaxing weekend and it started great with free valet parking. When we got to the counter to check in the girl said the the room wasn't ready yet and we we're two hours past the check in time! When I said something about that she was very snooty and said people check out late and the rooms 'don't get cleaned by magic' ! I couldn't believe my ears there was no 'I'm so sorry' she literally said to go hang out in the casino it wouldn't be long and was 'no big deal' which to to someone who had a long day at work, drove 2 hours in terrible traffic so we could check in and have a great dinner, was not the best things she could have said. I instantly had a bad taste for this place.
The room was beautiful, clean, and better than expected, and the views were Amazing. I already posted how terrible the food was for their 2 restaurants, so please read so you don't waist your money.
We asked to have the mini bar emptied so we could put in our waters and stuff and they said it was a 20$ fee! They want you to buy their ridiculously priced water in the souvenir shop downstairs, and i would normally just drink tap water to save money but it came out of the tap solid white and there's no way i would drink that!
The pool was very nice and played great pop music appropriate for families and also stylish for fun time with friends. Yes the pool is much smaller than expected but not bad.
The spa is free and super classy. There's a great steam room, sauna, and hot tub and huge area with huge showers, and locker room, complete with razors, lotions, hair brushes, hair dryers, hair sprays, the works. The only down side is they are separated by sex so my husband and I couldn't soak in the hot tub together. There are a lot of positives in this place, they just need to work on the food they serve, considering the prices, and customer service. They are not a 5 star elite snooty type of resort, no need to act like it. I'm aware rooms aren't cleaned by magic, and had she apologized even once I would have never complained about the inconvenience. -

This review is in regards to the poker room and blackjack tables.
Poker Room: They have a fairly sized poker room. Their tournament structure is horrible though. It's a donk fest and all-in specialists. Their cash games are better. $1/$3 blinds and buy-ins starting at $40 up to $200 I think. The games here are fairly soft. I've made money each time I've played here. The players here usually will check call with any pair and chase with any draw or ace.
Blackjack: The dealers are pretty friendly as are the pit bosses. When I'm tired of poker, I usually go kill some time at the $5 blackjack tables. It's a pretty good game and I usually come up. -

I lose too much money here.
Morongo Casino has actually gotten a lot better over the years. A little less than a 2 hour drive for me, it's a place I come maybe.. about once or twice a year, mostly cause of the outlets next door, so I stop by hoping to make some of the money back. Too bad that never happens :P
LOTS and lots of penny machines. On the weekends, expect it to the packed. It is hard to find a machine to play on sometimes. There's only ONE craps table, and they play it with cards since CA doesn't allow dices. Same with roulettes, CA doesn't allow the wheel so the roulette games are all machines. It's not as fun but meh if you really want to play those games, it'll do. Lots of blackjack tables and on weekends, you can still find $10 tables.
There's a club and few bars here and I gotta say.... the crowd, is interesting. A really random mix, so can't say it's my favorite but hey, a few shots will fix that!
There's a food court and a buffet for dining options, as well as a more upscale restaurant. I have only eaten at the food court (fast food) and the buffet. If you do want the buffet, remember to sign up for the player's card so you can get $10 off and any visits after that is $2 off.
Parking is plenty! -

(This review is for just the Casino because I have no idea why anyone would want to plan a vacation and book a room here!)
Me and my friend came here just for the hell of it. We weren't doing anything and decided to make the 1.5 hour trek to check it out.
Hated everything about this place..from the people to the smoke to the crappy tables. Only one $5 blackjack table?? Really? Who's really going to be able to play when there is a mob of 50 people waiting for an open seat.
What a GHETTO casino!!!!!!!!!!!! It seems like since there is nothing to do out in cabazon that its FAMILY night on Saturdays. There were hella kids running around. The food court was packed. As soon as someone got up from their table..there were already 4-5 people trying to swoop in and get like a vulture waiting for its prey to die so it can go feed!
Not to mention all the "ladies" (I use that term very loosely) that get dressed up and/or hoochified for the lame ass club they have there.
People that come here must really think this is the next Vegas because they walk around so everyone can look and stare at them. I saw one white girl with a fake ass weave. She had some much damn hair on her head it seemed like it was hard for her to walk straight...plus the fact that the color of her weave was white and not blonde...very odd.
Also saw a one legged pimp walking his hoes around the casino.
This place is a joke. Check out Pechanga...waaayyy better or even yet....make that few hour extra drive to a place called VEGAS because this place isn't it. -

Los Angeles, CA
I went last night, my first visit in a year, and probably the first time I've ever gone on a Friday night. Me and some friends spread out all over the place to play the games that we like the best, and I walked around and got to say, it's clean and nice. A little chilly inside, and I saw players keeping their jackets on.
But thankfully the dozens (maybe hundreds) of hot girls we saw there weren't gonna cover themselves up in jackets. Great selection of T&A. That was the best part.
The bad is that the place was full of kids. Looked like they were having fun, but a lot of other people looked annoyed. I sat in on some blackjack at different tables and saw a ton of grumbling because some of the kids made stupid plays, jumped in and out, and generally acted like jerks. Plenty of other kids were cool but if you're serious about having fun AND winning some money, you're probably going to want to select your table carefully.
Ate a slider from Fatburger which was good (but twice the price it should have been). Valet service was fine. I'd go back. -

A-Ok is just it. We paid $129 per night and wouldn't pay more.
I waited over 45 minutes for a blow dryer. I needed to be at the club 360 at a specific time and had to get ready... which sucked.
The rooms are nice, but it would have been quite awkward with anyone else but my husband, with see-through walls showing the shower/bathroom from the bed. Hot when you're with your spouse, not so hot with acquaintances.
The shop downstairs charges $1.25 for a pint (if that) of water. Ridic. Walls are super thin and we woke up to a family with kids in the room next to ours.
Additionally, don't come here for gambling. Games don't even play with you. They have Cali Style Craps, which was lame. Go to Vegas instead.
Awesome bar upstairs though for private events, Club 360. Loved it for the Heidi and Frank party. Perfect size room, good music, and good bar. -

I cannot say enough nice things regarding the Morongo or my stay.
Everyone was friendly from front desk to security & maid service.
Everything you could possibly need was within the complex. Great offerings for food and entertainment.
A free shuttle is available for transport to and from the outlets & local bowling.
The outdoor pool/waterslide/spa is fantastic - great for young, old and inbetween.
On my next trip to the USA from Australia I would more than love to stay at the Morongo again. Totally worth every cent!

Rowland Heights, CA
About two weeks ago on a Sunday morning, my family and I decided to take a Chinese tour bus to this casino, because everybody wanted to have fun but nobody wanted to drive. We got to the casino in a little bit over an hour, and there weren't that many people there, so we could look around and find our "lucky" machines. One good thing about taking the tour bus is that they're giving you promotion dollars to use on slot machines, amounts vary depends on the day of the week.
Not only that this casino has two outlet malls nearby, it also has a detached bowling alley. The bowling alley is really nice and clean, lanes are like-new conditions, and the food (we ordered pizza and onion rings/chicken wings combo) is great also. We got the Sunday special at $25 for 3 hours of bowling (6 people max per lane). If you want to go to any of these places, you can request for a shuttle, which will take about 5 to 10 minutes to get to your destination. But the wait for a return shuttle could be longer than expected.
One great advantage about this place is that it provides entertainment to the whole family. This is a place not only the gamblers will have fun, but also the shoppers and the bowlers as well. I'll definitely come back to this place again. -

Casino and Buffet review only....
WOW...free BUFFETS for 4 of us when you have a coupon and sign up for the Morongo Casino players reward cards!! SCORE for lunch after a round of golf!
FAIL...losing $100 after the free buffet at the casino. So my tab ended up being $100 for the lunch buffet! LOL!!!!
I haven't been to the new casino/hotel and this was my first time. I was pretty impressed, it looked just like you were in Vegas...without the drive. The buffet was pretty awesome I'd say. Nice job.
Nice job! -

Let me tell you, baby, when you're hot, you're hot!
A bottle of tequila and having beers at the bar, my friends telling me to put my pants back on, no one questioning why a small Armenian man is making such a ruckus and telling everyone around him to be rowdy.
I parted ways with my companions and ended up playing some hold em with a very friendly crowd for a poker room (think, the opposite of the commerce). Bought in, tripled up, and I threw in the towel to spend my winnings at Coachellaaaaaa.
Come back to the room and what do I see? A bunch of vomit everywhere as one of our soldiers had fallen. You gotta do what you gotta do, and open the second bottle of tequila, and go back to the tables. Sat at blackjack for about 2 hours chattin it up with a funny black lady and milkin Morongos money. YESSSSSS! YESSSSSSS!!!!!
The room rates are more than reasonable but vary by day. Weekdays the cheapest, weekends the most expensive with weekends running around 150 a night. We crammed a bunch of people in it because there is no way on my budget I can afford that. Another interesting thin is, for 75 more dollars a night, they'll bump you up to a super flashy suite. If Im making good paper by the time next coachella rolls around, WHY NOT SPLURGE?
Stay away from the buffet. Go get some real food at their restaurant or go to the burger joint by the gasoline station. Rubys? Thursdays? I forget what it was but its better than the sh*t they serve at the buffet.
They have a nice spa and a pool. They have an arcade where, for some reason, at 3a.m. all the little kids are still up playing video games and not letting me have a turn at the games. Punk kids.

Just a regular casino. Nothing really special that really stood out. It is a 18+ casino so there could be teenagers that don't know what they're doing in your table. So leave when you see them!
Dealers were really nice. Whenever you need help or have doubts on what to do, they'll give you advice. I played blackjack and there are some non-smoking tables and the person in charge is really strict. She pretty much almost called security cos a guy that was smoking didn't want to leave....
I wish they had REAL roulette and I wish I would've won.... -

We went to Morongo for the first time and tried the buffet, Mariachi Monday!? There were too many people and food was not great at all. We drove all the way from South Bay. Many smokers, too so we gave up to gamble. I wonder if the buffet is the same quality other day. We decided not to go any more. Sorry.

I think the reviews must be mixed in from back in the day when it looked like you were gambling at the retirement home. The old casino is now the bowling alley and the new casino is hardly recognizable as Morongo as I remembered it. (6 yrs ago).
The air could be circulated better and almost every slot machine had a wait for the penny, nickel, quarter ones. Not sure if people get crazy but every 5th person was security. I don't feel safer, just paranoid. *shrug*
The area with the tvs is great if you sit in the smaller room. You can't hear the slots and you can get a private table with volume on the tv. I got food from the food court and brought it over; Nathan's has a amazing caesar! Great bloody mary and the most random freshest celery that I've had in awhile. Who expected great produce in a smoky casino? -

* Review for Luxury Suites only!
Morongo has great getaway packages I can't pass up. With the "Amore Package" you and a friend can enjoy a getaway which comes complete with chocolate covered strawberries and a bottle of sparkling wine. Amore normally includes standard deluxe room accommodations, $50 food credit and $30 gaming credit, and a car wash all for only $139. For an extra $80 I upgrade to the suites totaling $220.00 for this great package. Normally the suites are $380/night.
The Suites are sweet! Isolated from the "others" and located on the upper floors of the hotel, you have to use a private elevator and a key card to gain access. The suites have spectacular mountain and canyon views. The rooms are colored in desert tones with modern hardwood furniture and artwork. The bedroom closes off from the living room with a large sliding door with frosted glass panels in it. The rooms are have vaulted ceilings, crown moldings, dark mahogany hard wood floors in the living room area and toe curling, comfy carpeting in the bedroom area. The bathroom just off the living room is large with a huge vanity, and a stained glass window .
The master bathroom has a large jacuzzi to accommodate your extracurricular activities, two vanities, each with hair dryers and magnifying mirrors. On the opposite side of the Jacuzzi is a large walk in shower with ledge seats.
No need to leave the suite, I always get room service deliver to me as I lay butt-naked under my complimentary robe and slippers. Enjoy your night of hibernation on a plush, California King mattress laced with European linens.
One day I might try the casino, restaurants, and clubs but after reading the yelp reviews, I will probably stay hidden in a suite.Listed in: Travel & Leisure

Review from Amy P.
My husband and I realized at the last minute that it was our anniversary! So we booked a room at Morongo the day of, and drove our way there.
Our check-in process was a little annoying. The lady had quoted us $89/night over the phone. My husband asked specifically, and I heard him, "does that include everything?" the lady apparently said "yes" and they proceeded with the reservations. When we got there we were told that there were taxes and resort fees to be added to this amount. We ended up paying $104.29 total. While this price increase was pretty insignificant in sum, it was the principle that irked us a bit especially since my husband had confirmed over the phone about the price. Manar, who was behind the check-in desk was a complete hard-ass and made the whole check-in experience unpleasant and frustrating.
Having brushed that aside, we were there to have a good time and that's exactly what we did. We had some dinner, then played a little Black Jack and called it a night. The room was clean, spacious, and remodeled. We slept easily and woke up bright and early to go to the pool. The pool was huge and furnished with slides, a "river," palm trees, lounge chairs, cabanas, a sand oasis and hot tubs. Since the weather was super-cold we were the only ones by the pool and I didn't leave the hot tub. I quite enjoyed the secluded hot tub+ cold weather experience. We then headed into the spa to sit in the sauna and wash up for the day. We had lunch, played some poker and headed home.
All in all, a cute, quick, successful getaway! -

Morongo is very good for a local Indian Casino. It is a beautiful facility with good food and service. It has lots of great slots, but it tends to get very crowded on the casino floor. The pool is great and non-hotel guests can use if for $20 per day.

The clientele is pretty geriatric, and it's so dark in there, I thought I was on Mr. Toads Wild Ride!
Other than that, the payout is pretty swell! I won $400 on the 25 cent slots (but put in $200!) So technically, I only won just south of $200. It was my first time gambling (in a casino, shh! or I'll get you fitted with a new pair of cement Mary Jane's!)
I would also like to add, their ARCADE SUCKS! I am not an arcade snob, so any arcade is good by my standards, but this one was sub-par! I'm sure gulags have better recreation for children than this place!
The buffet stinks! Buffets are gross to begin with, nasty people touching and breathing over the food. The bacon tasted like piss (not that I've tasted piss before, but I imagine it would have a similar salty, pungent taste. Now I'm just making excuses...) Anyway, the food was subpar, but affordable. I would have rather paid a little less and gone to the Panda Express and Whattaburger around the corner.
If you're looking for an ailing Sugar-Daddy, this is the place to go, all you trampy, gold-diggers! I went with my grandfather, and trying to find him in the sea of bald heads was harder than finding a needle in a haystack! Ha ha. -

Came here with group of friends over the week of fourth of July. Biggest letdown was that the casino only had two five dollar tables, I had to wait three hours just to be able to finally sit down. It's a zoo around those things. They allow gambling for 18+ which is cool for all the youngins out there looking to throw some money away.
My cousin grew a pair and decided to "step up" to the ten dollar, was only him with two foreign girls that knew how to play blackjack--my cousin doesn't have a clue. He hit on 16 with dealer showing 6 and caused one of them to lose $75, they gave him a death stare and started mumbling in whatever language they were speaking.
Pretty nice get up, especially considering the relatively inexpensive cost of it all. They have a lazy river in the pool area, pretty good casino minus the lack of cheap blackjack tables, and I had one of the best meals of my life at Cielo Seafood and Steak restaurant way up on the 27th floor. Wow, so good!
Don't go here expecting Vegas because it's not. For the price and close proximity to all us Southern Californians it's convenient and a good deal, you'll have a fun time.
