4 reviews for Morganelli Dental Center
Wow, I feel like I went to a completely different dentist office from what other Yelpers have described. My experiences here (I've been 4 times) have all been pleasant - nice receptionist, good dental hygienist. I will agree that you don't see the actual dentist as much, but most of what I need can be taken care of by a dental hygienist.
I never felt products or anything were pushed on me. Recommendations were made (i.e., get a sonicare toothbrush, start wearing your nightgaurd again) but I never felt I was being "sold" on anything. In fact, I always seem to leave here with the standard dentist "goody bag" of a logo-emblazoned toothbrush and floss.
When I met Morganelli himself, he was really nice to me. He explained that sometimes the facility is used as a teaching facility, so there may be extra people in the room, but that only happened once (and was completely non-intrusive).
Overall, I will keep going to Morganelli Dental Center and have recommended it to friends.
Dr. Morganelli is an insurance scammer. When I went in for a sensitive tooth, he convinced me that it was cracked from teeth grinding, and that I must see their on site root canal specialist ASAP. When I saw the root canal specialist, he yelled at me for taking up his time, because my tooth was just an old filling that needed replaceing. This root canal guy was a collegue of Dr. Morganelli, who worked in the same office. I walked out in disguest, and told the receptionists up front how I felt. Hope they go out of business.
Stay away!! I left here feeling like I needed to shower and rinse my mouth out with the strongest antiseptic available. The office space and equipment are ancient and just look plain dirty. The hygienist who cleaned my teeth wasn't much better. She barely spoke English and had the gentle touch of a road worker using a jack hammer. Then Dr. Morganelli came and took a look at my mouth for about all of 3 seconds. He told me it looked fine - no cavities. Well I didn't feel fine - my tooth hurt! I went to a second and third dentist to get other opinions. Both said I had a cavity. So not only is this place old, dirty, and painful - it also dishes out bad dental advice. An awful experience all the way around.
